WWE NXT Results 02/15/12

WWE NXT Results from Fresno, CA:

The latest WWE NXT season 5 episode opened with Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks coming to the ring and sitting on a turnbuckle.  They trash talked Matt Striker for ruining their chance at a big moment last week.  They said they're two of the most underutilized superstars in WWE.  They kept trashing Striker and his various WWE roles.  Hawkins said that NXT needs someone who can bring change, then he opened his jacket to reveal a Hawkins shirt which was similar to the Obama graphic.

Matt Striker came out and told Hawkins and Reks they're ridiculous and he's given all the superstars on NXT a chance to prove themselves.  He said Hawkins looks stupid and doesn't hit very hard.  Striker then announced he brought in a substitute to run the show tonight.  Regal stood up from the commentators table and said he's in charge of NXT tonight.  He put Hawkins in a match with Tyson Kidd, and banned Reks from ringside.

Tyson Kidd defeated Curt Hawkins by submission.  Late in the match, Hawkins hit a belly-to-belly back suplex for a near fall with Kidd able to get a leg on the bottom rope.  Hawkins went for a Superplex, with Kidd blocking and getting a suplex of his own.  From there he was able to get Hawkins into the Sharpshooter for the win.

Titus O'Neil defeated Yoshi Tatsu by pinfall.  Late in the match, Yoshi hit his running chest kick for the near fall.  O'Neil was able to hit the Clash of the Titus shortly after that to win it.  Post-match, Titus demanded some actual competition and asked for Alex Riley.  Riley come out in a suit, and told Titus to drop the mic and fight.  Titus dropped out of the ring instead saying he has a Valentin's date.

Backstage, Kaitlyn was talking to Alicia about how she wants Bateman to break up with Maxine.  Johnny Curtis came up to them and put his arms around them, asking if they wanted to see the new disco ball in his van.  Both of them turned him down and left.  Right after that, a delivery man brought a box of candy and flowers asking if Curtis was Derrick Bateman.  Curtis faked that he was and signed for them, noticing it was for Maxine.  He said "Like stealing candy from a Bateman."

Percy Watson defeated Michael McGillicutty by pinfall.  In the late stages of the match, McGillicutty threw Watson to the corner and charged at him.  Percy moved aside causing McGill to bounce off the corner.  From there, Percy hit the Percycution for the win.

Backstage, Maxine found the box of chocolates but a note on it was addressed to Kaitlyn, apologizing for Maxine's actions last week, signed by Derrick Bateman.  Maxine was upset by this.

They showed the Raw Rebound recapping the incidents involving John Cena and Kane, Zack Ryder and Eve from Monday night.

Kaitlyn joined Regal and Matthews for commentary on a tag match involving Bateman and Gabriel.

Derrick Bateman and Justin Gabriel defeated Heath Slater and Johnny Curtis by pinfall.  The heels had control against Gabriel, wearing him down, but he eventually made a hot tag to Bateman.  Bateman hit an inverted DDT on Heath Slater for the pin.

Post-match, Maxine arrived out with the box of chocolates in hand and attacked Kaitlyn.  Bateman had to come to the rescue for Kaitlyn, and pulled Maxine away.  Johnny Curtis was ringside by the steps looking pleased at his handiwork.
