The Time For Cena to Lose

There's been a hoard of fans who are waiting and hoping for the day John Cena will lose the title. Then there's the others, the Cena supporters who want to see him keep the title, forever. I'd put myself in the middle, not to be political, but because I think Cena has made for a decent champion. I also wouldn't mind seeing the title go to someone who has never held it. Lashley and Mr. Kennedy would be perfect examples. As indicated in previous entries of this blog, I do expect Cena will lose most likely in the next 2 months. I see it happening either at the Bash or Summerslam, most likely.

The first scenario would be Cena loses to Bobby Lashley at Great American Bash. I was ready to predict Cena losing to Lashley during the 5 man title match at Vengeance, but couldn't bring myself to it. Cena has just been on that kind of a roll. However, Lashley has been on a mission since losing the ECW title and being part of Raw. He has had impressive victories since joining Raw, so Cena could conceivably lose the title at Bash.

The second scenario involves the return of Triple H. I'm pretty excited to see when and how this happens. It will be an exciting and earth-shattering WWE moment wherever and whenever he surfaces. Will he just show up as a guest at a Pay Per View, or will he make a return to RAW/Smackdown and end up in a title match at Summerslam? I think a Triple H vs. Cena title match for Summerslam (if possible), is what the WWE fans want to see. The longstanding champion versus the legendary Game would make for a classic. If I were writing storylines and scripts for the WWE, I'd even work in an angle where Cena defeated HBK and Triple H is back to prove that he's the top dog on Raw. Cena also has plans to work on a new movie in the fall, so he will be taking time off. And that means most likely someone will be taking his title from him, soon. Will Triple H be the one? The coming weeks should tell us, but for now the dream of that match can keep us going.

Leave your comments on when you expect to see Cena lose the title, or if you think he will continue holding the title through Summerslam.

I saw HHH and Cena go at it at a house show in Wildwood, NJ. They have a good in ring chemistry that could grow into something big. A HHH/CENA summerslam main event would be a wise choice.

I think for now Cena should keep the title until HHH comes back, and then the King can reign once more.

Or maybe I just don't like Lashley at all... If they do give it to him, I would hope he lost it to Kennedy who in my opinion would make a great champ!

I think you are right I think he will lose it soon but not to HHH. It may be Bobby Lashley but I also think there is a possibility that he will lose it to Randy Orton. I think he and HHH will meet eventually but I think they will probably keep that for Wrestle Mania. Carol xx

I think it will be Lashley taking the belt from Cena, then Randy Orton taking the title from Lashley come Summerslam. By Wrestlemania or Backlash, It'll be Triple H vs. Orton for the WWE Title. Cena is going to be gone for a while to shoot a movie anyway. Then he'll work his way back up to regain the title, that is, unless he guns for the World Heavyweight title, which would be awesome for his career, since he's held the United States Championship, and the World Tag Team Title with HBK. Even a Intercontinal title for Cena would be good, Not a downgrade, but what he should be aiming for is Triple Crown Status like the rest of the greats.

I expect Cena to lose the title, to make way for Lashley to hold it up until Randy Orton takes it away from him, that is, when Triple H makes his way back to hunt for the title by Wrestlemania. Cena is going to do a movie anyway.

I think Cena will keep the title long enough the set the record for holding the title w/o losing...which he is close to.

Who cares !!! I for one can NOT stand Cena. God knows which of the two months he will lose it. I'm just glad they are getting rid of him for a while and I am greatful for even that...lol. I liked Cena back in his indy days when he was a high flyer and when he was actually good. Now its just the same old crap. Besides, I just flip through channels now because Raw was better when it had the World Heaveyweight Title anyway. Ever since we got the Sh_t end of the stick for Raw with Cena and the WWE Title, Raw has not been that good to me. Thats just my opinion, But I am pretty safe to say that I think most people agree with me. I am a pro wrestling manager on the indy scene, so I hope this sheds some light on how the wrestling buisiness works with wrestling companies showing favoritizm like teachers do in grade school through high school.

I am putting my money on Cena though

I agree with much of what you say. I am indeed a Cena fan, but I think it is time for him to lose the title. And I think it will be at Summerslam. What I think it will be is Cena losing the title to Randy Orton. Orton will most likely beat 'The American Dream' Dusty Rhodes at The Great American Bash. Then Orton will go on a rant saying how much he desrves a title shot after beating such a legend. He will most likely go into a number 1 contenders match, with possible Dusty's son Cody in it. Orton will prevail, and at Summerslam will win the WWE Championship. In a way, that will set up a possible rematch from Unforgiven 2004 with none other than 'The Game' Triple H.

I have said for ages that he should lose the belt soon, however being a big cena fan and due to vinces reluctance to see him loose, i fele they should let him keep it up to summerslam thus making him the first person since macho man i believe to hold the title for that long!! I will be gutted if Lashley wins it as he is terrible

I'm going to go with you. If Lashley wins at the Bash, he should face the Game or HBK(if he's back, but i dont think he will be) in some big match, like a HIAC. Or they could do like in SVR(no year, the first SVR) and do an Elimination Chamber at Summerslam, with 2 people from every brand, since it has 6 people. But if he beats Lashley, then I still think the EC would be great for ratings and ticket sells.

Cena the master of the same old shit will lose it to Bobby Lashley. Lashley would hold the title all the way to wrestlmania in which Cena will be back from his time off and challenge for it by winning the Royal Rumble. Triple H will go to SmackDown and make a stable called Evolution X with Batista Ric Flair and HBK who is also coming to SmackDown. And Kane will not win the World Heavyweight Championship because Triple H is going to win from Edge at Summerslam. After Triple H wins it Batista will probally face Triple H for it. Then at Survivor Series or Armageddon The Undertaker will return, have a biker gimmick again, and will feud with Edge all the way to Wrestlmania 16-0.
