Mysterio on Fox & Friends

Rey Mysterio stopped by Fox and Friends show on Thursday morning to discuss the recent Benoit tragedy. Mysterio said he was a close friend of Benoit's and also sees Dr. Astin (Benoit's doctor). Mysterio said Dr Astin prescribed pain medication for his knee because he's been through 5 ACL surgeries now. Mysterio said he's been part of wrestling since he was 8 years old and says he has never used steroids during his time in professional wrestling. Mysterio said he's been out of action for 8 months, and will be making his comeback at Summerslam in New Jersey this weekend. When asked if he felt wrestling will go "down for the count" due to the recent problems, Rey said no because today's wrestlers are a new breed. Rey said it's hard to point figures and say "he's using steroids and he's not" because they are all there to do a job they love. Mysterio also presented two masks to Brian and Steve co-anchors of Fox and Friends.
