SmackDown Results 01/24/14

SmackDown results from Grand Rapids, MI:

Big Show & Rey Mysterio defeated The Real Americans via pinfall.  Rey Mysterio had been isolated and worn down by the heels for a bit, but managed a double DDT on them both and gave a hot tag to Show.  Show tossed both Real Americans around, hitting a double hip toss on both guys.  He tagged in Rey again who hit 619 on Cesaro, followed by a Show KO punch.  Rey hit the big splash and then pinned Cesaro for the win. Post-match, Paul Heyman came out to cut a promo. Heyman suggested that Show should enjoy every second of this win, because he won't be winning against Brock on Sunday.  He said that beating Show won't be enough; Brock will subjugate and destroy him Sunday, followed by the rest of the WWE Universe.

The Miz defeated Brodus Clay via pinfall. During the match, Bad News Barrett was commentating on a mic over the speakers from up in his cherry picker box near the stage.  He called the match awful and insulted both superstars, eventually distracting Clay.  That allowed Miz to hit a big DDT and get the pinfall win.  Post-match, Miz tried to push over Barrett's cherry picker, while BNB kept insulting and taunting.

AJ Lee defeated Cameron in a non-title match via pinfall. The match lasted about a minute-and-a-half.  Cameron hit a facebuster and then a standing split during the match for a near fall.  She had to hit a dropkick on Tamina to make sure she didn't interfere from the outside.  Moments later, AJ hit the shining wizard and grabbed the pinfall.  Post-match, the Funkadactyls, AJ and Cameron brawled.  Naomi got control in the ring and hit her butt bump on AJ in the ring, then for some reason tried to make a pinfall cover.

The Shield cut a promo backstage about the Royal Rumble, with Ambrose said 27 other superstars will enter besides Shield and try to win.  He said dreams can come true but not this year, because these dogs are hungry.  Rollins said the Rumble match has never had a force like The Shield, then Reigns finished by saying he'll win and go on to headline WrestleMania.

Ryback and Curtis Axel defeated Los Matadores via pinfall.  Late in this one, Fernado was able to knock down Axel to tag in Diego.  Diego hit the wrist clutch DDT and went for a pinfall cover with Ryback breaking things up.  Ryback distracted Diego, allowing Axel to get a surprise rollup pin from behind.  El Torito was upset with the finish and splashed Ryback on the outside post-match.

CM Punk came out to deliver a promo regarding The Authority and the Royal Rumble match.  He talked about being #1 in the match, but not being there to complain, saying when you're "best in the world" you go out and get the job done.  Kane came out to interrupt and wish Punk good luck on Sunday, saying the #1 spot has a 0.0000187% chance of winning the Rumble. Kane remarked that being "Best in the World" might tip things more in his favor. Punk cracked that Kane was once the "Devil's Favorite Demon" and is now just "The Authority's Favorite Statistician."  Punk said Kane turned in his manhood with his mask, so odds don't matter because he's been best since day one.

Luke Harper and Erick Rowan defeated The Prime Time Players via pinfall.  The match lasted approximately one minute, with Harper and Rowan isolating Young in their corner.  Harper hit a huge boot kick to knick Titus from the apron, then followed up with a huge clothesline on Young to get the win.  Post-match, Bray Wyatt got in the ring, grabbed O'Neil and kissed him on the forehead before hitting Sister Abigail.  He got on the mic, saying he's going to defeat Daniel Bryan, then hurt him and change the world.  He said after Sunday they'll no longer deny him.  He started to say "Follow the..." but Daniel Bryan interrupted.  He told Bray to listen to the people, who started up a "Yes" chant.  Bryan said he fears not faint, he fears no reapers or burning with the saints.  He told Bray Sunday he won't be trapped in his prison of madness, but Bray will be trapped in his prison.  He told Bray he'll find out who the real monster is as the crowd chants "YES!" for him.

Kofi Kingston defeated Fandango via pinfall.  Pre-match, Kofi was shown in a PIP video box and talked up how he'll do whatever it takes to win the Rumble. Late in this match, Fandango hit a pele-style kick on Kofi to take him down.  He went up top for a move, but Kofi knocked him down.  Kofi hit Trouble in Paradise to get the win.  Summer Rae was shocked by the end result of the match.

The team of Big E Langston, Goldust, Cody Rhodes & The Uso Brothers fought New Age Outlaws and The Shield to a no contest in a 10-man tag team match.  Late in the match, Cody hot-tagged Goldust and Road Dogg then tagged in.  Goldust started to clean house.  Goldust got ready to hit a finish, but Rollins came in to hit a flying knee.  The match started to really break down when Reigns speared Big E Langston.  The Usos cleaned all the heels from the ring, but Billy Gunn hit a rocker dropper on Jimmy.  Cody disaster kicked Billy, then Road Dogg slammed Cody.  Goldust tried for a quick rollup on Road Dogg, but The Shield all got in to break things up, causing interference and the match to end abruptly.

Post-match: The action broke down and eventually turned into a huge brawl with many other superstars getting involved ahead of Sunday's Royal Rumble. Pretty much all the superstars from the back area, with the exception of Daniel Bryan and the Wyatt Family, got into the mix to fight it out before Sunday's Pay-Per-View.

SmackDown Results 01/17/14

SmackDown results from Worcester, MA:

The New Age Outlaws defeated The Rhodes Bros. via pinfall in a non-title match.  Towards the end of this one, Vickie Guerrero came out and interrupted, reminding everyone of the upcoming Royal Rumble and how it will be everyone for himself including "brother vs. brother."  Cody was distracted in the ring by her speech allowing Billy Gunn to roll him up for the win.

Backstage, Renee Young spoke to CM Punk asking if the rumor he was going to call out The Shield tonight was true.  Punk said it was confirmed, then walked off.  Paul Heyman was shown backstage.

Paul Heyman came out to the ring to remind everyone that his client was the #1 contender for the WWE World championship.  He talked about how Big Show attacked his client at last Raw, but they won't be intimidated. Heyman said Lesnar will be on the next Raw.  Big Show came out to interrupt the speech and Heyman took off into the crowd.  Show said he knows they're scared of him, and told Heyman to deliver a message to Lesnar: at Royal Rumble he's going to knock him out.

Rey Mysterio defeated Alberto Del Rio via pinfall.  Late in the match, Del Rio went for the arm breaker, but Mysterio rolled through to escape.  Moments later he hit 619, but on the splash attempt, Del Rio put his knees up.  Del Rio later went for a kick to the head on a kneeling Mysterio, but Rey avoided it and rolled up Del Rio for the win.  Post-match, Del Rio kicked Mysterio in his back and then put on the arm breaker, until referees forced him to break the hold.

Naomi defeated Tamina via pinfall.  AJ and Cameron were both ringside.  At one point, Naomi landed badly on her chest on a backdrop from Tamina.  Later, Naomi got back into the match hitting a heel kick on Tamina.  She finished things off later with a split-legged Moonsault onto Tamina for the win.

They showed a career tribute video package for the late Mae Young.

The Wyatt Family made their entrance to the ring where Bray Wyatt cut a speech about having to sacrifice himself to be reborn.  He talked about how he always tried to appease his father, and his father never trusted him with his kingdom, but instead cast him out to walk among the sheep.  He brought up Daniel Bryan attacking him, and said Bryan was given every chance to walk with the reapers, but now he must die with the saints.

Renee Young was with CM Punk backstage and asked if he was calling out New Age Outlaws or The Shield tonight?  Punk said both, and that he was giving the Authority exactly what they want, an opportunity to shut him up, so that one day he can get what he wants.

Big E Langston defeated Fandango via pinfall in a non-title match.  Late in this one, Big E hit a belly-to-belly suplex and then a big splash.  He went for the Big Ending, but Fandango escaped it.  Moments later, Big E hit a big clothesline and then put on the Big Ending for good.

Backstage, Renee Young interviewed Shield about their Rumble plans.  They talked about being a "well oiled machine" but each also teased eliminating their teammates if necessary.  Reigns said he'd throw both Ambrose and Rollins out and they'd still be The Shield after it.

They talked about and showed clips of Randy Orton attacking John Cena's dad at ringside on Raw.  Cole said Triple H is now conducting an investigation into Orton's behavior just like any other sports organization would if an athlete attacked a fan in attendance.

The Real Americans came out on stage with Zeb Colter in a wheelchair. Colter talked about Big Show being a bully.  Colter said he hopes Brock Lesnar treats him in the same way, "We the people."

The Usos defeated the Real Americans via pinfall.  Late in the match, Cesaro broke up a pinfall attempt by Jey.  Swagger put a Patriot Lock on Jey, but Jimmy landed a Superkick to break that up.  On the outside, Cesaro used Zeb in the wheelchair to trip up Jimmy.  Jimmy then took Zeb and the wheelchair and ran it into Cesaro.  Inside the ring, Jey hit an electric chair on Swagger from the top rope.  Jimmy tagged in and hit the Samoan Splash for the win.

CM Punk came out to the ring for the final segment of the night.  He said he came out there because he's not a coward and doesn't need to have other people do his dirty week.  Punk said he could call out the Outlaws, Shield, Inlaws, Ultimate Warrior, Road Warrior - it doesn't matter.  He said The Authority will always do what they can to shut him up.  Punk said "The Authority" mainly refers to Triple H, a man who lucked into his job and uses it to further a personal agenda while hiding behind his wife and The Shield.

Shield made their ring entrance and New Age Outlaws followed.  All of them surrounded the ring, with Punk ready for a fight.  Next, Kane arrived out.  He told everyone to calm down and stop it.  He said this isn't what The Authority wants.  He told Punk his anger is misplaced, and his paranoia is getting the best of him.  He said Punk's in the Rumble because they want him to main event Mania.  Kane said he will make sure he is treated justly and given the respect he deserves.

Kane told Punk he has his word that this will happen.  Punk told him his word means nothing, since he's a 7-foot tall sellout and suckup.  Kane listened to a "you sold out chant" from the crowd, before ordering the five men "get him boys."  They surrounded the ring again, distracting Punk.  Kane snuck in the ring behind Punk and then hit a chokeslam on him.  The show closed out with Kane standing over Punk on the mat.

The opening segment featured Triple H and Stephanie in the ring with various wrestlers assembled on stage, including John Cena and Daniel Bryan.  Orton was introduced and brought out both championship belts, then stopped and held them up before Bryan and Cena.  Orton started a speech, which Cena interrupted and suggested that Daniel Bryan deserves a fair title match.  Orton tried to have security take Cena away, but HHH and Steph interrupted.  They noted that the fans voted Bryan as Superstar of the Year, so a great way to kick off the reign of the new "Champion of Champions" would be a title match against the man the fans don't think Orton can fairly defeat.

Big Show and Rey Mysterio defeated Cody Rhodes and Goldust via pinfall in a non-title match.  Late in the match, Goldust missed on his flying crossbody at Show.  Show hit a knockout punch on him, before Mysterio tagged in and hit the flying splash off Show's shoulders to get the pinfall.

Mark Henry & Big E Langston defeated The Real Americans via pinfall.  Late in the match, Cesaro was able to suplex Big E Langston.  Later, Langston was able to make a hot tag to Henry who came in to headbutt Cesaro and then powerslam him.  Swagger broke up a pin attempt.  Big E eventually tagged back in to hit The Big Ending on Cesaro to get the win.

Ryback & Curtis Axel defeated Brodus Clay & Tensai via pinfall.  Late in the match, Tensai went for a tag to Clay, but Brodus backed away,  leaving Tensai to fend for himself.  Ryback was able to hit Shellshocked on Tensai for the win.  Post-match, Clay splashed onto Tensai twice and set up for a big corner splash.  R-Truth and Xavier Woods ran down to hit a double dropkick on Clay to send him out of the ring.  Post-match, Woods and Truth invited the Funkadactyls into the ring to dance with them.

CM Punk came to the ring and talked about surviving last night's match against all 3 members of Shield.  He says he knows that The Authority has it out for him though.  He called out Triple H, but instead got Shawn Michaels. HBK talked about kicking Punk last week.  Punk said he would give him a pass for that because "15-year old Punk is stoked that Michaels kicked him."  He told HBK if he does it again, he'll kick him back.  Michaels said kicking him hurt him more than in pained Punk.  He said what he was about to do would have the same effect, then introduced Punk's opponents: The Shield, who made their standard entrance through the crowd.

The Shield defeated CM Punk and The Uso Brothers via pinfall.  Late in this one, Punk hit a top rope elbow drop on Ambrose for a near fall.  He went for the GTS, but Rollins distracted him briefly.  Punk chased off Rollins, then hit the GTS on Ambrose, but Reigns had tagged in and hit the spear on Punk for the win.

As Michael Cole was talking about poll results for "which superstar will get coal in their stocking," a Wyatt family noise interrupted.  Bray Wyatt came on and said he thinks Daniel Bryan is a coward, saying he told him he could take the pain away, but all he can feel is his empty heart beating.  He told "Abigail" that he understands what they must do, "If Daniel Bryan refuses to walk with the reapers, then he will burn with the saints."

AJ Lee, Tamina Snuka & Alicia Fox defeated Natalya and The Bella Twins via pinfall.  Nikki had momentum late in this match, but Tamina kicked her in the face.  AJ Lee got in another kick then the pinfall win.

Backstage, Renee Young interviewed Randy Orton who complained some more about having to face Daniel Bryan tonight after his TLC match just last night.  He said it's a strange world where Bryan is voted Superstar of the Year.  Orton said what's best for business is that everyone in the arena, locker room and around the world bends over and kisses his ass.

Daniel Bryan defeated Randy Orton due to disqualification in a non-title match.  Late in the match, Bryan was in control and rolled Orton back into the ring after hitting a suicide dive and whipping him into a barricade outside the ring.  He hit a missile dropkick back in the ring, then several rounds of kicks on Orton's chest.  Bryan went for a kick to the head, but Orton ducked it, then hit a low blow on Bryan causing the DQ.  Post-match, John Cena rushed to the ring to attack Orton, throwing him out over the top rope.  He checked on Bryan's condition.  Orton got back in the ring and hit the RKO on Cena to leave both him and Bryan down on the mat.  He held up both championship belts while posing over Bryan  and Cena to close Raw.

He talked about how Show didn't do a very good job because he's still standing.  He said at Survivor Series it's about winning the title back, but right now it's about kicking Show's ass.  Show appeared up on the big screen and called Sheamus an "ungrateful ginger" and asked him if Regal thinks it was a good idea to fight.  Show threatened to take out Sheamus permanently, but Sheamus called him scared.  Show said Sheamus has nothing to offer him.  Sheamus called out Show, but instead Wade Brrett came to the ring.  Sheamus told Barrett he's tired of talking and ready to fight.  Barrett dropped his mic and headed to the ring, then stopped halfway down the ramp before heading back up.  Sheamus' music played in the ring to end the segment.

Del Rio then got a mic and told Orton to stop trying to be the Apex Predator because he's been replaced, by him.  He told Orton to prepare to tap out.  Del Rio dropped the mic, then put on the cross armbreaker.  Orton grabbed the mic with his free arm and clocked Del Rio on the head to break his hold.  Del Rio recovered as Orton was still suffering the effects of the hold and crashing through the table.  He tossed Orton shoulder first into the ringpost, then Del Rio tried for Orton's DDT move on some steel steps in the ring.  He couldn't get it, so he sent Orton head first into the steps.  Del Rio then when to hit Orton in the head with a chair, but missed.  Orton surprised him with an RKO on the steel steps for the pinfall win.  Smackdown closed after the replay review and Orton having his hand raised in victory.

Main Event Results 10/31/12

Main Event opened with the opening theme followed by a pyro display, and then Michael Cole welcoming fans to the show.  He was joined by JBL at the commentary table.  They talked about how Brad Maddox, the ref involved in the Ryback vs. CM Punk match, was suspended and will be questioned tomorrow at the WWE Headquarters about what he did.  Cole then talked about tonight's big six man tag match, and footage was shown from last week's show which involved Orton making the big challenge.

Rey Mysterio, Sin Cara & Randy Orton defeated Alberto Del Rio & Prime Time Players via pinfall.  Late in this main match, Del Rio avoided the 619 from Mysterio then tagged in Titus.  Titus works on Rey a bit, then Del Rio tags in again later.  He misses on a corner move, hitting shoulder-first into the ring post.  Ricardo helps Del Ro get back into the ring from the outside so he can tag Titus before Rey can make a hot tag.  Young tagged in to keep working on Rey.  The heels continued the strategy for a bit.

Eventually, Rey escapes after a Tilt-a-whirl DDT move, then hot tags Orton in.  Orton comes in and beats up all the opponents.  He hits a DDT from the ropes on Del Rio.  Titus and Darren come in to attack Orton, but Mysterio and Cara get in the ring to fight them off.  Rey hits a 619 on Del Rio, and Orton follows with the RKO for the win.

Post-match, the winners celebrated their victory, while Striker asked them for comments on the match.  Rey thanks Orton for helping to lead them to victory.  He says he and Cara are here in the tag division for the long run.  Cara speaks in Spanish.  Rey translates saying Cara said he and Rey are teaming up for one reason only: to become tag team champions.  Orton says they sent a loud message to Del Rio: there is only one Apex Predator.

After commercial, Josh Matthews talks to Primetime Players backstage.  Darren says their team lost, but PTP didn't.  Titus says the WWE is going to see PTP is the top tag team in WWE and they'll be tag team champs at WrestleMania 29.  Del Rio rushes in and yanks the mic from Matthews as PTP leaves.  He says Orton better watch his back on SmackDown Friday, because he is the new Apex Predator.

Cole and JBL talked about the scandal before footage of the various events were shown.  Cole said Vickie has more evidence to reveal on Monday's Raw.

Wade Barrett makes his ring entrance for a match, followed by his opponent Tyson Kidd.

Post-match, Barrett gets on the mic saying that was impressive.  He notes that Kidd was part of the Hart Family Dungeon, and he just beat him in less than 5 minutes.  He says that isn't always the case with Kidd.  He talks about not being surprised by Sheamus losing his title, because he's defeated him before.  He says if he'd been facing Sheamus, he'd be champion now.

Sheamus' music hits and he comes onto the stage.  He says he has no problems with the English, but doesn't like Wade Barrett.  Sheamus challenges him to a match next week on Main Event in England.  Sheamus says he wants to have fun now and gets in the ring.  Barrett avoids the Brogue Kick and escapes from the ring.  He backs up the ramp as Sheamus pounds his chest in the ring to end the show.

Raw Preview 10/15/12

Tonight's episode of Raw arrives just weeks ahead of the October Hell in a Cell 2012 Pay-Per-View and one week after a brutal match involving Vince McMahon, kendo sticks and an incident in the stands.  At the end of last week's show, CM Punk was given a huge ultimatum as he fled the ring after his match with Mr. McMahon: either face John Cena, or face Ryback in Hell in a Cell.  Punk was given until tonight's show to come up with which opponent he will face.  So will it be Cena or Ryback that Punk chooses?

Also on Raw, a #1 contender tag team is still to be decided to face Daniel Bryan and Kane at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View.  Last week saw the teams of Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara as well as Rhodes Scholars advance to the finals.  Both teams are worthy contenders, but only one can get the big victory.  Meanwhile, Bryan and Kane are continuing to work on trying to get along and put aside their anger management issues in the ring, and outside the ring.  Will Dr. Shelby have any more special therapy methods for the tag team champions?

The other major stories to wonder about heading into tonight's show include CM Punk's potential opponents at Hell in a Cell.  John Cena is currently recovering from surgery on his elbow and needs to be medically-cleared to compete at the Pay-Per-View.  Ryback has been tearing through the competition and has now crossed paths with the WWE champion several times.  Will Ryback make any further intentions known to the WWE champion on Monday's show?  Also, will John Cena make a live appearance either via satellite or in the ring?

Find out all the answers and catch the excitement of the latest Raw episode starting at 8PM EST on USA!

Josh Matthews was in the ring for an exclusive interview with the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight title, Alberto Del Rio.  ADR came out in a 1983 Excalibur Roadster worth $120k according to Cole.  They showed video from last week where Del Rio made Orton tap out to become #1 contender for Sheamus' title.  Del Rio said he's going to do the same to Sheamus at the PPV.  Matthews was interviewing Del Rio about the Sheamus match at NOC asking how he plans to win after Sheamus keeps besting him in matches.  Del Rio got upset and reminded him what Kane did to him at Summerslam, saying it won't compare to what he's going to do now. Kane's pyro hit and he came to the ring as Matthews and Del Rio rushed out of the ring.  Kane said he needed to apologize as part of his anger management class.  He offered an apology to Josh Matthews for throwing him across the barrier at SummerSlam.  Matthews looked confused ringside by it.  Teddy Long's music hit and he came to the ramp to tell Del Rio he'll be facing Kane in a match, next.

They showed highlights of Triple H's promo on Raw, suggesting he might be done with his wrestling career.

Vickie Guerrero came out and introduced Dolph Ziggler for the main event match.

Randy Orton defeated Dolph Ziggler by pinfall.  Late in the match, Ziggler tried for the Zig Zag but Orton held onto the ropes to throw him off.  Dolph tried to rush at him on the next spot, but Orton grabbed him and put him on the middle rope for his DDT.  Orton had a near fall, with Ziggler rolling to the outside.  Orton chased after him and tossed Dolph onto the commentators' table, then back in the ring.  As Orton got in the ring, Dolph went for a move.  Orton avoided it and hit the RKO for the win.  Post-match, Lilian was about to announce Orton as winner, but Vickie grabbed the mic away to announce "still your Money in the Bank winner, Dolph Ziggler!"  Orton glared at her as she showed off the MITB case and helped Dolph up the ramp.  Orton celebrated up on the ring corner as Smackdown went off the air.

Sheamus and Rey Mysterio defeated Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio due to disqualification.  Late in the match, Sheamus knocked Ziggler off the apron then hit White Noise on Del Rio.  He started to rev up for the Brogue Kick, but Ricardo Rodriguez grabbed Sheamus' leg from the outside, causing the ref to call for the bell.

Post-match, Del Rio attacked Sheamus, kicking him down and then putting on the Cross Armbreaker.  He followed released it and left the ring.  Ziggler seemed ready to cash in his MITB case, but Rey Mysterio got into it and hit a 619 on him.  Sheamus followed up with the Brogue Kick on Ziggler.

WWE Raw Results 07/16/12

Raw Results from Las Vegas, NV:

CM Punk came out to celebrate still being champion and talked about how a year ago he "dropped a pipe bomb" there in Vegas with his speech sitting at the top of the ramp.  Big Show came out to interrupt and they bantered a bit, before Show told Punk when they meet in the ring tonight he could give Cena the opportunity to cash in that MITB case on Punk.  Show dropped the mic like a pipe bomb and left the ring.

R-Truth and Kofi Kingston defeated Titus O'Neil and Darren Young by pinfall to retain the tag team titles.  Young and O'Neil were keeping Kofi isolated late in the match with a series of attacks.  Kofi managed to make the tag to Truth who came in and took down Titus with a DDT for a near fall.  Moments later, Truth clotheslined Young to the outside.  Kofi connected on a Trouble in Paradise on O'Neil, then Truth hits his finisher on him for the win.

They had a backstage segment with Daniel Bryan and AJ.  They apologize to each other for everything.  Bryan is about to say something but Eve comes up to interrupt.  She mentioned Bryan ditched her during last week's tag match, so she spoke to the Board of Directors.  Tonight Bryan and AJ will face Eve and a partner of her choice.  AJ asks Bryan what he was going to say, but he tells her he'll let her know after the match.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Zack Ryder via submission.  Del Rio and Ryder ended up on the outside in the late part of this, with Del Rio stomping on Zack's head.  He unloaded some more on Ryder, with Zack ramming ADR into the apron.  When Ryder gets back in the ring, Del Rio is angry and attacks Ryder, then puts on the cross armbreaker to make him tap.  Post-match, Del Rio kept up the attack on Ryder.  Rey Mysterio's music hit and he rushed to the ring to attack Del Rio.  He ultimately hits the 619 and sends ADR out to the floor.

Rikishi defeated Heath Slater by pinfall.  They had a video highlight reel of the various legends who've defeated Slater.  This time, it was Rikishi who came out to a pop.  In the match, he dominated hitting a superkick, then the trademark stinkface, followed by a huge punch.  Rikishi finished off Slater with a sit splash from off the corner to get the pinfall.  Post-match, Rikishi started up his dance.  The lights went out in the arena, and then when they came back his sons, The Usos, were in the ring and danced with him.

AJ and Daniel Bryan defeated Eve Torres and The Miz by pinfall.  When Bryan came out he started up a huge "Yes" chant with the Vegas crowd.  Late in the match, AJ managed to hit her finisher on Eve, but Miz ran in and the ref was too distracted to make a pin count.  AJ ran over and kicked Miz out to the floor from the apron.  Later, Miz ran in again while Eve had AJ rolled up, but the ref was distracted.  Bryan comes in and helps AJ to get the pin as the ref is distracted by Miz.

Post-match, Bryan got the mic and tells AJ he loves her, admitting he lied last week about wanting to get married because he wanted to win the WWE title.  He says he's for real this week, drops to one knee and proposes.  Bryan puts a ring on her finger, and AJ says "Yes."  Bryan starts up his "Yes" chants with the crowd doing "no" chants.

Ryback and Jack Swagger fought to a no contest.  Late in the match, Swagger went for an Ankle Lock but Ryback fought him off.  Ryback connected on a huge clothesline, then slammed Swagger down hard.  He did three Powerbombs on Swagger, then kicked him out of the ring.  Ryback's music hit and he started yelling "feed me more," as a ref went to check on Swagger.  There was no decision made.

Vickie Guerrero brought Dolph Ziggler out, who was wearing a suit and carrying his MITB briefcase.  He promised to become the next World Heavyweight Champion, saying it's only a matter of time before he cashes in on Sheamus.  Ziggler keeps going on about how he'll be a better champ than Bret Hart, Stone Cold, or The Rock.  As he's continuing to rant, out comes Chris Jericho to interrupt.

Ziggler kept talking as Jericho got in the ring, saying he's not going to steal his spotlight now.  Ziggler said he won his MITB match and Jericho didn't.  He asked when the last time Jericho won anything was.  He called Jericho all hype, asking the last time he won an important match.  It ended as Jericho hit a surprise Codebreaker to leave Ziggler down on the mat.

Brodus Clay defeated JTG via pinfall.  Before the match began, Cole and Lawler discussed the official invitation to the wedding of Daniel Bryan and AJ on next week's Raw.  Also announced are AJ and Bryan as guests on Christian's Peep Show this Friday for Smackdown.  In the match, Clay dominated until JTG was able to take out his knee.  JTG kept attacking, then mocked Brodus' dancing moves.  Clay made a comeback though, hitting a clothesline, then suplexing him across the ring.  Clay finished up with a headbutt and then his big splash.

CM Punk defeated Big Show due to disqualification in a non-title match.  Show was dominating most of this matchup, but Punk managed comeback late in the contest.  He hit multiple kicks and running knees to Show.  At one point, he finally managed to get the big man to fall to the mat from the corner.  Punk connected on his Macho Man elbow drop, but only got a 2 count.  Show started pounding away on Punk in the corner, then shoved the ref away at one point, causing the DQ.

Post-match, Show kept up the attack, slamming Punk around the ring.  John Cena's music hit and he came rushing out with his MITB briefcase in hand.  Show backed off and out of the ring.  Punk looked like Cena was gonna cash in on him, but Cena got on a mic to talk about his big announcement.  Big Show got on another mic to say everyone knows he's going to cash in now, he'd be a fool not to.  Cena said he's not doing it now.  He gave CM Punk one week to prepare for the biggest match of his life.  On Raw 1,000, Cena will face Punk for the WWE title, cashing in his MITB contract.  Cena said his big announcement was - and then he dropped the mic, ran across the ring and smashed Big Show in the head with the briefcase.

Cena held up the MITB case overhead, as Punk got his WWE title belt, walked up to face Cena and posed with the WWE belt held up as Raw ended.

He mentioned that HHH gave him tickets for Summerslam and right before the main event, Nash got a text that said "Hey, big man, could you do me a favor. No matter what happens in the main event, stick the winner for me." Nash said that HHH said earlier he had no idea Nash would do that, but they need to get on the same page, that it's just business. That brought out CM Punk to confront him.

Punk told Nash it's clear that neither he or Triple H know what's good for business. Nash told Punk to watch his mouth, and Punk said "you need to watch the show, I do and say whatever I want to whomever I please." Nash told him "obviously your world just changed." Nash and Punk continued their back and forth trash talk about how the business should be run, and what's now versus what was "then." It lead to CM Punk saying he'd go back and talk to the COO himself to find out why security was stopping him from fighting Nash in the ring. Nash waved bye to him.

Backstage, Nash stormed into HHH's office, with John Laurenitis there. He said HHH went to talk to Punk. Laurenitis said the way Punk spoke to Nash tonight is unacceptable. He said he needs to talk to Nash about something in private.

Cena got on the mic to talk about having "one hell of a weekend." He talked about how there's many reasons he could be pissed off, but instead of being mad at HHH he's mad at a guy like Del Rio. He said Del Rio cashed in after two guys put it all out there in the ring over the WWE Championship. He chastised Del Rio for cheapning the title, and said his golden destiny now makes him every other guy's enemy. Cena said his new destiny will be "John Cena whipping your ass." Raw Results 08/01/11

Raw Results from Indianapolis, IN:

Raw opened with highlights of the John Cena and CM Punk situation involving Vince McMahon at Money in the Bank. Punk won the championship after a GTS on Cena in his hometown of Chicago, shocking Vince McMahon. Rey Mysterio would win the WWE Championship in a tournament set up by Vince on Raw. Cena defeated Rey in a rematch later in the night to regain the title. However, CM Punk showed up at the end of Raw with two champions facing each other in the ring.

Michael Cole said for the first time in WWE history there are two legitimate WWE Champions. CM Punk's new theme music came on as one of the champs arrived out with his belt to show the audience. Michael Cole announced he and Lawler as commentators with "special guest" JR. Lawler said this is the Triple H era and Jim Ross is an employee again.

Punk yelled out "the champ is here" before hoisting up the belt. He sat down as a "CM Punk" chant started up. Punk said time for the big question, "Why did I come back?" He reminded fans that his contract would expire on July 17th, 2011, and said he struggled with the decision for a year. Punk said he loves his job but hates the people in charge, so he decided to speak his mind and try to make change happen. Punk said he caused just a little bit of change with a domino effect, by getting Vince relieved of his duties with WWE.

Punk brought up how Cena is parading around with a championship belt which is no different than the one the kid in the front row has. Punk said he has a championship and there's one fact, he holds the most important title in the world in his hands. Punk said that title shows he is the best professional wrestler the world has to offer, the one, the only WWE Champion. Just then, Triple H's theme music started up and out came the new COO.

Triple H said he re-signed CM Punk for one reason, it was good for business, just like bringing back JR and John Morrison. HHH said it's his job to give the fans what they want so he put his personal feelings aside and re-signed him. Punk asked what those feelings are, so HHH said he felt Punk was smug and ovverrated. Punk said it must be like looking in the mirror for Triple H. Punk said Vince let top notch guys like Batista, Mick Foley, Chris Jericho, Brock Lesnar and others slip through. Punk said HHH couldn't afford for Punk to go anywhere else.

Triple H told Punk to tell everyone the truth about why he really re-signed. HHH said it's because Punk needs this platform to exist. HHH said without WWE his mic aka "the pipebomb" and him are meaningless. HHH told Punk he and Cena are both WWE Champions, and he'll fix that situation later on tonight. HHH was leaving the ring but Punk stopped him and said it's time to talk egos. He brought up how Hunter's ego had him telling people what to do throughout his career. Punk called Triple H a bully who looks to throw his weight around and push people. Punk told Triple H he likes to push back.

HHH got in Punk's face and said he could slap every tattoo off him right now, but he won't. He said he took the job for the fans and the job comes with certain rules. Triple H told Punk he strongly suggests he doesn't break those rules either. Punk taunted Triple H by playing with his tie and asked HHH what will happen if he breaks the rules, will HHH punch him in the face, "or does he have to ask his wife first?" Punk dropped the mic and left the ring with HHH shrugging it off and mockingly applauding him.

Backstage, Rey Mysterio was getting ready for a tag match. Someone stole his shirt, then John Morrison came flipping overhead and landed near Rey. Morrison tossed him the shirt and the two laughed about it.

Divas Battle Royal for #1 Contender

Melina, Gail Kim and Rosa Mendes were eliminated early on. It came down to Bella Twins, Eve, Beth Phoenix and Alicia Fox as Raw went to commercial break. Kelly Kelly was on commentary, scouting her potential opponent for Summerslam 2011. Alicia Fox tried to run and dropkick Eve, but Eve dropped to the apron and Alicia landed on the outside floor.

One of the Bellas managed to eliminated Eve after hanging her upside down on the ropes. Beth went over and was able to pick up both of the Bellas on her shoulders, then dumped them out of the ring.

Kelly went into the ring to congratulate Beth and raise her arm up. Beth celebrated for just a moment before tossing Kelly out of the ring to the floor. She went right out and then threw Kelly into the crowd barrier. Beth grabbed a mic and told her her days as the cute blond little bimbo champion are about over.

Winner: Beth Phoenix wins the divas battle royal to become #1 contender for WWE Divas Championship.

The Miz was shown backstage getting ready for a match when R-Truth arrived to the locker room. Miz asked Truth who he's talking to. Truth tried to tell him they're a lot alike because they both think Triple H running WWE is a mistake, and it could be a conspiracy. Truth told Miz to be very very careful because next thing he knows he gonna get got.

Josh Matthews interviewed John Cena backstage. Cena said his focus isn't Punk but Triple H because he has to decide who the real champion is. Cena said when Triple H makes his decision, Cena will be out there to see what he has to say.

John Morrison & Rey Mysterio vs. R-Truth & The Miz

They showed The Miz's appearance on George Lopez show included some dancing he did with an audience member. Cole said this coming Sunday The Miz and John Cena will be presenters at the Teen Choice awards. He said they'll be hanging out with Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and the Kardashians. Rey Mysterio made his ring entrance followed by John Morrison.

Early on, Rey Mysterio and John Morrison took control of things. At one point, Mysterio knocked both heels to the outside then jumped on Truth. Morrison ran across the ring and flew out onto Miz. Raw took a commercial break. Later in the match, the heels gained the advantage against Mysterio, trying to wear him down and keep him away from the tag to JMo. The Miz hit his big running clothesline on Rey in the corner, then went off the corner. Rey caught him with a dropkick and both men hit the mat. Both Morrison and Truth tagged in.

The finish saw Truth try to get a scissors kick on Morrison, but JMo avoided it and kicked Truth in the head, sending him against the ropes. Rey went for 619, but Miz tripped him from outside the ring. Miz yanked Rey out of the ring and tossed him over the crowd barrier. Morrison went over and kicked Miz as he got on the apron. However, as Morrison went back into the ring, Truth was ready to hit his finisher.

Post-match, The Miz hit Skullcrushing Finale on John Morrison. Truth got tin the ring with a bottled water. Miz held JMo up so Truth could smash the water in Morrison's face, then they had the ref raise up their arms in victory.

Winners: R-Truth & The Miz win via pinfall over Rey Mysterio & John Morrison.

Backstage, Josh Matthews interviewed Triple H the COO. Triple H said Punk making jokes about Stephanie is nothing new and doesn't get to him. Matthews asked him about John Cena the other champion. Triple H said John Cena can come out later and so can CM Punk. Triple H said based on how the night's going though, Cena should keep it strictly business out there.

Summerslam 1998 was the latest Summerslam Recall. Honky Tonk Man was Intercontinental Champion and had no opponent. He made an open challenge to the locker room. Ultimate Warrior rushed to the ring and beat Honky Tonk Man to become the new Intercontinental Champion.

Vickie Guerrero arrived out with US Champion Dolph Ziggler. Cole said it's obvious Vickie hasn't been eating JR's BBQ sauce lately, because she looks great. Vickie did her "excuse me" routine in the ring then started to talk about the controversy of having two WWE Champions. She said despite all that, Ziggler has gone above and beyond to prove himself more superior than CM Punk and John Cena.

Ziggler brought up how he said to "Follow that" last week, meaning no one will ever have his skills, talent, technique or charisma. Ziggler said he's more of a man than anyone in the arena and anyone back in the locker room. That brought Alex Riley out in a suit as well. Riley had a mic in hand and asked Dolph if he's such a man why does he always hide behind a woman, or in his case - Vickie Guerrero. Vickie brought up all of Dolph's title accomplishments, but Alex said "excuse me" and asked Dolph when the last time was he accomplished anything on his own. Riley told Ziggler if he wants to be a real man than drop Vickie. Riley asked Dolph if without Vickie he'll be exposed for what he really is "a bleach-blond, arrogant, fraud."

Ziggler took Vickie by the hand and escorted her to the corner, before removing his suit coat and handing it to her with the belt. Dolph loosened up his tie than rolled to the outside of the ring. Riley waved goodbye to him as Vickie exited up the ramp with Ziggler. Cole said the United States Champion doesn't have to put up with that and wanted to make sure Vickie's safe. Lawler said Ziggler had a chance to earn some respect there but lost it.

Zack Ryder & Santino Marella vs. David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty

Highlights were shown of Ryder's quick victory over Michael Cole on last week's Raw. Cole complained he had to wear Triple H's boots and they were 4 sizes too big for him. Cole brought up how Zack Ryder is the mock internet champion and spent $1500 to buy himself a belt.

Ryder had control of things, but as Santino went for the Cobra the action broke down. Ryder tried for the Rough Ryder on McGill, who avoided it. From there, McGillicutty picked up Ryder and held him as he tagged Otunga. Otunga did a flying elbow drop on Ryder to pick up the pinfall win.

Winners: David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty win via pinfall over Zack Ryder & Santino Marella.

They showed a replay of the earlier confrontation between Triple H and CM Punk in the ring. Triple H warned CM Punk he better follow the rules. Punk asked "or what?" if Triple H would beat him up or punch him in the face, or if he needed to go ask his wife's permission first.

Josh Matthews interviewed CM Punk in the locker room asking what Triple H's decision will be later tonight about the championship. Punk said he's waiting to see what his decision will be. Punk said earlier in the ring he was just testing Triple H and he passed with flying colors. Punk said at Money in the Bank he won the WWE Championship from John Cena so the champ is standing right here. Punk said now the champ is going that way.

Evan "Air" Bourne vs. Alberto Del Rio

Justin Roberts introduced Ricardo Rodriguez so he could introduce Mr. Money in the Bank, Alberto Del Rio. Cole said Del Rio drove out in a 1953 Rolls Royce worth over $100,000.

Late in the match, Bourne hit the enziguiri on Del Rio to knock him down. Bourne climbed the corner for the Air Bourne, but Del Rio rushed over and did his flying kick to Bourne's head to knock him to the mat. Del Rio put on his Cross Armbar hold to finish Bourne off from there.

Post-match, Del Rio slapped the armbar submission on Bourne again despite the ref trying to break it up. Kofi Kingston rushed to the ring to make a save, chasing Del Rio off. Ricardo Rodriguez went onto the ramp with him and the briefcase.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio wins due to submission of Evan Bourne.

Triple H was shown walking backstage on his way to the ring. Cole, Lawler and JR said he'll be out next to decide about the WWE Championship situation.

"Bright Lights Bigger City" by Cee Lo Green is the official Summerslam 2011 theme song. Michael Cole said Cee Lo will be at Summerslam too.

The results of the online WWE Poll about who is the true WWE Champion were 54% in favor of John Cena versus 46% for CM Punk.

WWE Chief Operating Officer, Triple H, arrived to the ring with his decision on the WWE Championship situation. Triple H was about to make his decision when he was interrupted by John Laurenitis the executive vice president of WWE talent relations.

Laurenitis said he took the job over from Jim Ross, so it's his job to manage talent and sign contracts. Laurenitis told HHH he's been part of the corporate structure for a very short time, but he's worked corporately with Mr. McMahon for over 10 years. Laurenitis says he knows how Vince would handle this situation, by stripping the WWE Championship from John Cena.

That brought John Cena out to the ring to weigh in on the discussion. Cena told Laurenitis he's been that "yes man" for 10 years to Vince McMahon, just like Punk mentioned before. Cena reminded him how he knocked his teeth out at Money in the Bank PPV when he tried to ring the bell and stop the match.

Laurenitis said his decision wasn't made because of Cena's unprofessional behavior but because Punk beat him. Cena said his favorite moment at MITB was punching Laurenitis in the face. Cena said it felt so good maybe he should do it right now. Triple H said "don't look at me, I don't have a problem with that." Laurenitis left the ring, so Cena talked to Triple H. HHH said he's not going to strip Cena of the title because his claim to the title is legit.

Triple H said he didn't receive a signed contract from Punk until Cena was defeating Rey Mysterio on Raw. He said it was then that Punk walked up with a signed contract and put it in his face saying "hit my music." CM Punk's new music hit and he came to the ring to get in the discussion.

Triple H finally got in between them. He said they'll settle this at Summerslam with a one-on-one match to decide who is the true undisputed WWE Champion. HHH left the ring with Punk and Cena facing each other still, each with their championship belts. Punk dropped his mic and held up his championship belt for the fans to see, so Cena dropped his mic and then presented his championship belt. They each posed with their belts on the corners of the rings as their music altered back and forth as well.
