Monday Night Raw comes a little over 24 hours after WWE's Pay Per View spectacular, Wrestlemania 24! Tonight's show should include the fallout and aftermath of the big event, including the celebration of Randy Orton as the champ of WWE.
Last night's event featured two new champions being crowned, but they were not from the Raw brand. The Brothers of Destruction were victorious, as Kane won the ECW title and Undertaker won the World Heavyweight title. For Raw's brand, Randy Orton retained the WWE title in a tough Triple Threat match with John Cena & Triple H. Orton stole the victory, by knocking out HHH after he had Cena down for a pin. How will Cena and Triple H react on tonight's Raw and will they still consider themselves the top contenders for Orton's title? Will a new superstar step forward to challenge Orton? What will Orton have to say after retaining the belt?
Smackdown also gained the upperhand at last night's Wrestlemania, when Batista won the Brand Superiority match over Raw's Umaga. Will Raw GM William Regal be sending Umaga to the doghouse for losing the match? What will the consequences be for the loss which reflects on the Raw brand?
We also have a triumphant Shawn Michaels who just ended Ric Flair's career last night. What will HBK have to say about the WM match and how he ended Flair's legendary career?
Other stars involved in last night's event included Chris Jericho who was a close second in Money in the Bank, JBL who gained a win in a Belfast Brawl involving Finlay & Hornswoggle, and the WWE Divas, Maria and Ashley who lost Bunnymania to Beth Phoenix and Melina. What will the superstars & divas have in store for the Raw following the biggest PPV of the year?
