Wrestlemania 24 the Results!
Wrestlemania XXIV is now in the WWE history books! The Pay-Per-View spectacular ended with a few new champions and some surprises. Floyd Mayweather made his official debut in a wrestling match, and Snoop Dogg MC'd the 1st ever "Bunnymania Lumberjill match" at Mania. Here's a look at the match recaps and results for the big event, from Orlando, Florida's Citrus Bowl.
Winner: Kane wins the 24 Man Battle Royal to earn a WM24 ECW title shot against Chavo Guerrero.
JBL vs. Finlay
The opening match of the PPV had the Irishman Finlay looking to extract revenge on JBL for what he did to Hornswoggle. The little guy has made a recovery and made a surprise return at the match. JBL tried to keep him down by tossing a trash can at Horney. Finlay tried to grab the ring steps, but JBL hit his legs with a Singapore cane. After a clothesline from hell, JBL picks up the victory in this all out brawl.
Winner: JBL wins via pinfall over Finlay in the Belfast Brawl.
Winner: CM Punk wins the MITB briefcase, earning a title shot anytime, anyplace.
Winner: Batista wins to earn Smackdown the title of "Superior brand".
Kane vs. Chavo Guerrero
Kane won the 24 Man Battle Royal earlier to earn a title shot against Chavo. As Chavo stared up the ramp awaiting the Big Red Machine, Kane entered the ring another way, and was behind Chavo. The bell rang to start the match and to Chavo's surprise, he turned around the chokeslammed and pinned by Kane. Kane becomes the new ECW Champ!
Winner: Kane wins by pinfall over Chavo Guerrero to become new ECW champion.
Shawn Michaels vs. Ric Flair
Coming on the heels of last night's Hall of Fame induction for Flair was this match against longtime friend Shawn Michaels. The stipulation: if Flair loses, his career as a WWE wrestler must end. Flair and Michaels put on one of the lengthiest matches, but a great performance for the fans. In the contest, Flair displayed why he's the dirtiest player in the game, as he hit the Low Blow on HBK. HBK tried for a figure four, but Flair escaped to try for a pin. Despite a valiant overall effort from the legendary Flair, Shawn Michaels hit not one but two Superkicks on Flair. After that Flair was down for the count, losing the match and perhaps wrestling his final match.
Winner: Shawn Michaels defeats Ric Flair by pinfall to end Flair's career.
Ashley & Maria vs. Melina & Beth Phoenix
With rapper Snoop Dogg as MC, the two most recent WWE Divas to be in Playboy faced off against two of the toughest WWE Diva heels. The lights went out during the match for no scheduled reason. Despite the brief issue, Santino Marella continued to interfere in the match. Jerry Lawler took exception and walked over to give Santino a solid punch. Maria had been distracted enough by it all and Beth Phoenix was able to hit a running powerslam, then pin Maria. After the match, Santino tried to berate Maria for the loss. Snoop Dogg took exception to this, got into the ring, clotheslined Marella down, then kissed Maria.
Winner: Beth Phoenix & Melina win via pinfall over Ashley & Maria.
John Cena vs. Triple H vs. Randy Orton
In this triple threat battle, Triple H, Cena and Orton battled it out with the WWE title on the line. In the end, it came down to Triple H and Cena in the ring. Cena went for the FU, but Triple H countered then hit Cena with the Pedigree. As Triple H was making the pin, Randy Orton got back in, and hit Triple H with a boot to the head. Randy Orton took the pin on a fallen Cena to retain the WWE title.
Winner: Randy Orton wins via pinfall over John Cena & Triple H to retain the WWE title.
Winner: Floyd Mayweather wins due to knockout of the Big Show.
Undertaker vs. Edge
Undertaker's impressive Wrestlemania undefeated streak was on the line here against Edge's World Heavyweight title. The two Smackdown stars wrestled in the final contest of the event, with each man gaining the advantage at different points. The referee was also knocked out and unable to count a pinfall by Edge on Undertaker. Edge tries to mock the Undertaker by going for a Tombstone Piledriver, but Undertaker countered to hit his own Tombstone! Ryder & Hawkins tried to interfere as well, but Taker chokeslammed them on top of each other. Undertaker finally finished off Edge by putting him in a submission hold. Edge taps out & Taker is your new World Heavyweight champ.... the streak continues!
Winner: The Undertaker defeats Edge due to submission to win the World Heavyweight title.
And so Wrestlemania XXIV gives us surprises and new title holders, with Matt Hardy making his return, CM Punk winning the briefcase to cash in at any time, Kane is your new ECW champion, Orton retains his WWE title, and Undertaker's streak continues, with the Deadman now your new World Heavyweight title holder! 24 Man Battle Royal
Wrestlemania's 1st match was available on WWE.com as a FreeView. It pitted 24 men in an over the top rope battle royal, with the victor getting a shot at Chavo Guerrero and the ECW title. The match came down to just two men, the Big Red Machine, Kane and the World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry. Mark Henry seemed to be continuing his dominance of the past few weeks, but Kane withstood it and tossed Henry out of the ring.Winner: Kane wins the 24 Man Battle Royal to earn a WM24 ECW title shot against Chavo Guerrero.

MITB Ladder Match
As MVP was trying to get to the coveted briefcase, he thought nobody was going to stop him from winning. However, Matt Hardy made a surprise return, ran to the ring and hit the Twist of Fate on MVP from off the ladder! Both Chris Jericho and CM Punk began to climb the ladder towards the briefcase. Punk was able to pull Y2J's leg through the rungs and lock him into the "Tree of Woe". Punk was able to grab the MITB briefcase!Winner: CM Punk wins the MITB briefcase, earning a title shot anytime, anyplace.
Batista vs. Umaga
In a battle for brand superiority, Raw's Umaga faced Smackdown's Batista for WWE bragging rights. Both men gave it their all trading offense and moves. In a hard fought match, the Animal was able to hit Umaga with the spinebuster followed by a Batista Bomb for the pinfall.Winner: Batista wins to earn Smackdown the title of "Superior brand".

After the hard hit, Show was down for the count of 10, giving Mayweather a "40th KO", but this time in the wrestling ring.Winner: Floyd Mayweather wins due to knockout of the Big Show.
Undertaker vs. Edge
