Orton took control several times in the match and hit a Superplex at one point off the corner for a near fall. On the outside, Orton tore apart the commentary table and set up for a move with Rollins. Ambrose and Reigns got involved and helped Rollins to hit a Triple Powerbomb on Orton, causing Cole to yell out about The Shield seeming to be back together. Rollins put his arms around Ambrose and Reigns then put a fist out for them to put theirs with. Ambrose and Reigns jawed at him, then punched Rollins with Cole exclaiming, “one time only.” Kane tried to help out Rollins but Ambrose and Reigns got the upperhand and then powerbombed Kane on top of Rollins on the Spanish commentary table. The table didn’t break. A huge “one more time” chant broke out so Ambrose and Reigns obliged them, picking up Kane again to this time smash him through Rollins and the table.

Reigns and Ambrose played buddy-buddy for a few moments, but then realized they were the only two competitors on their feet. Ambrose slid into the ring and prepared for a fight. Reigns came in and they jawed at each other for a bit before throwing punches back and forth. Reigns hit a power bomb for a near fall. The two traded near falls with Reigns having one after a Superman Punch. Reigns hit a huge spear moments later and had a pinfall but Rollins rushed in to break up the pin. Reigns chased Rollins on the outside with J&J trying to intervene and getting punched down.

Things broke down with Ambrose hitting a huge pendulum clothesline to punch Reigns down. He hit Dirty Deeds on a staggering Rollins, but then Kane pulled Ambrose off the winning pin. Kane threw Ambrose into the steel steps on the outside and then smashed the steps on Reigns. Orton got involved again to knock Kane down on the outside, then hit several RKOs in the ring on J&J. He seemed to have control against Rollins, but Kane got in the ring again. Orton managed to fight off Kane, but Rollins grabbed control and hit Triple H’s finisher, The Pedigree on Orton to get the pinfall win. Cole noted Rollins took a play out of “the master’s playbook” with that move. The commentators reviewed match highlights as Rollins celebrated the win laying down on the ramp.

Triple H came down the ramp to help Rollins up and raised up his hand with the title belt to celebrate. An on-screen graphic showed that Elimination Chamber will be in Corpus Christi, Texas on Sunday, May 31.

Winner: Seth Rollins won via pinfall over Randy Orton in the Fatal Fourway to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Neville defeated Bad News Barrett via pinfall. (Pre-show match)

The match appeared on the Extreme Rules Kickoff show. Barrett had Neville set up on the ropes late and went for a Bullhammer but Neville avoided it. Moments later, Neville was able to land a kick followed by the Red Arrow for the victory.

Dean Ambrose vs. Luke Harper - Chicago Street Fight

The match eventually went outside the ring and then backstage. Harper got into an SUV of some sort parked at the garage exit. He got in the driver's seat to start up the car but Ambrose jumped in the passenger side as it drove out the garage exit. The commentators were shown looking baffled as to how the match was going to finish with no cameraman or ref with them.

Backstage, Triple H was texting someone on his phone when Kane came in. HHH told him to go find Harper and Ambrose. Just then, Rollins walked in. He and Kane got into a bit of a war of words. HHH told Kane to get on the same page as Rollins tonight. Kane reluctantly agreed after telling Rollins he's been an ungrateful punk since winning the title.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Sheamus via pinfall in a Kiss Me Arse Match.

Sheamus went for a Brogue Kick late but Ziggler avoided it for a near fall. Moments later, Ziggler got the inside cradle pinfall win. Post-match, Sheamus kept ducking out in disgust not wanting to honor the stipulation. At one point, Dolph set up with Sheamus kneeling down behind him to kiss his arse. Instead, Sheamus hit a low blow and attacked Ziggler. He got the mic and said he wasn't going to kiss Dolph's arse in this awful town. Sheamus, move aside part of his trunks and then rubbed Ziggler's face on his arse instead before leaving the ring and going backstage to boos.

Big E and Kofi Kingston defeated Tyson Kidd and Cesaro via pinfall to become new tag team champions.

Late in the match, Cesaro had control but Woods got up on the apron to interfere. The ref told him to get down, and then Natalya came over to slap him. Tyson Kidd rushed over to kick him down to the floor. Cesaro set up for the winning move but Big E came in to disrupt it. Moments later, Kofi was able to roll up Cesaro from behind to steal a win, making New Day the new champs.

Backstage: Renee Young interviewed the new champs who said A New Day is going to start now. Just as they were doing a “New Day, New Champs” chant, the black SUV from earlier that had Harper and Ambrose in it came crashing into the nearby scene. Harper fell out in front of New Day. Dean Ambrose climbed up on top of the SUV and jumped off taking out all of New Day. He and Harper ended up going back out to the ring.

Dean Ambrose defeated Luke Harper via pinfall in the Chicago Street Fight.

Back in the ring, about ten chairs ended up in play, with Harper able to knock Ambrose onto the mat and pile chair after chair on top of him. Harper climbed up onto the corner to jump but Ambrose busted out from under the chairs, rushed over and slammed Harper from the corner onto the chairs. From there, he hit Dirty Deeds and took the pinfall cover to win.

Rusev vs. John Cena (C) - United States Championship Russian Chain Match

The rules had Cena and Rusev chained together with the winner having to tap all four corners of the ring in succession while chained to their opponent. At one point, the crowd was chanting “We Want Lana” so she got up on the apron to acknowledge the chants. Rusev got upset and told her to get down and motioned for her to head backstage. A distraught Lana walked up the ramp and backstage as the crowd started a “No” chant. Back in the ring, Cena hit a backbreaker and then eventually put on the STF until Rusev seemed out. Cena managed to touch 3 corners of the ring to bring up green lights, but Rusev rolled out of the ring to prevent the 4th one. The close saw Cena able to tap two corners and Rusev able to reach two. They each tapped a third with the court one up for grabs. Cena managed to yank Rusev away from reaching it, then hit the AA before tapping the final corner for the win.

Daniel Bryan vs. Bad News Barrett - Intercontinental Championship

Nikki Bella defeated Naomi via pinfall to retain the WWE Divas Championship.

At one point, Naomi put a full nelson on Nikki and then dropped down to the mat to stun her, before wrapping her legs around her torso, twisting and making a pinfall cover. The ref pulled Nikki away from Naomi at one point because she was in the ropes. With Naomi hanging out of the ropes towards the end, Brie delivered a kick to her with the commentators saying it was payback from before. Nikki grabbed Naomi and hit the Rack Attack to get the pinfall win.

Roman Reigns defeated Big Show in a Last Man Standing Match.

Two tables were set up outside the ring, with Show able to toss Reigns out and through them late in the match. Reigns still managed to get up and remain in the match. Later, Show went over and ripped up the steel steps and then the commentators table with JBL, King and Cole all getting up to avoid harm. Back in the ring, he had Reigns against a table set up in the ring. Show charged and tried to jump on him for a splash with Reigns moving aside and Show crashing through the table. The ref started a count but both guys got up with Reigns connecting on a big Spear. On the outside of the ring, Show was leaning against the timekeeper barricade area. Reigns rushed around the ring and then landed a Spear to crash Show through the barricade. Both guys got up yet again.

Moments later, Show grabbed Reigns and stood on the commentators table to try a chokeslam. Reigns elbowed out and got off the table, then set up for a Spear which he landed by running up some nearby steps and crashing Show through the table. Show managed to get up to beat the official’s count, but Reigns was able to lift up the announce table and shove it over on top of Show’s lower half. With Show pinned under the table, the ref started counting. Reigns stood on the table for extra weight as the ref’s count hit 10.

Backstage segment: Kane was walking backstage when he came upon Randy Orton. Orton told him they’ve known each other for a decade or so and fought side-by-side and against one another. Orton suggested that Kane needs to do the right thing for himself tonight because The Authority will just keep using him.

Cameras cut back to the carnage at ringside from the previous match with Cole, JBL and King still standing up to commentate. They introduced a promo video about the new WWE Tough Enough.

Bo Dallas came out to cut a promo about how bad Chicago is and the negative things they are #1 in. The crowd started getting on him and he went to deliver his “All you gotta do is Bo-“ line when Ryback’s music hit. Ryback came to the ring and ran through several moves including Shell Shocked on Dallas to get the crowd in a frenzy. He led them in a “Feed Me More” chant to close the segment.

Byron Saxton started interviewing Rusev backstage, but Rusev started yelling into the mic that Cena is a cheater and has never beat him. Lana showed up and Rusev asked her something in Russian. She said "It is done, the final chapter of Rusev vs. Cena will come at Payback in an I Quit Match." Rusev gloated saying that is the perfect match for him to defeat Cena and his American pride. Rusev walked off with Lana trailing behind.

Seth Rollins defeated Randy Orton by escaping the cage through the door in a WWE Championship Steel Cage Match. Orton's RKO move was banned from use in the match. Kane will serve as "gatekeeper" outside the cage door.

Rollins made attempts to get out of the cage at one point going for the door with Kane having to unlock it. Orton grabbed him to prevent it. Again, Rollins tried to scale the cage, but Orton climbed up to fight him down. Rollins hit a quick move to drop Rollins to the mat then ran and hit him with an elbow in the corner of the ring.

Late in the match, Orton had Rollins down so he dropped to the mat and began to pound his fists like he does to set up for the RKO. Rollins stood up staggering and Orton kicked him in the gut, then set up and hit the Pedigree to mock HHH. He took the pinfall but Rollins managed to kick out last second. With Rollins down near the cage door, Orton looked at Kane for a moment at the door. Orton moved back then prepared for a punt kick. He ran and went for it but Rollins moved out of harm’s way, then landed a kick to drop Orton. Rollins told Kane to open the door, which Kane did. The champ started to crawl for the opening but Orton grabbed him and hit a backbreaker.

Orton saw Rollins was down then saw the open door and walked over to exit. Kane pushed the door closed and held it. Orton screamed at him asking what he was doing. Rollins charged for Orton who moved aside causing Rollins to kick the door and knock Kane to the floor. Moments later, Kane slammed the door on both Rollins and Orton. He ripped off his suit jacket at ringside and got into the ring enraged. J&J followed him in telling him to stop but he hit a double chokeslam on them. A few moments later he went over and looked at Orton and Rollins on the mat. He put up his hand for a chokeslam then reached down and grabbed Orton, picked him up and hit the move. Rollins got up and went for the door, but Kane grabbed him and hit another chokeslam on him.

Kane rolled Rollins on top of Orton thinking it was the winning pinfall. As Kane went to exit, Orton kicked out at the last second. Kane turned and went to grab Orton again, but Orton retaliated and hit the RKO on Kane. Rollins was back to his feet and delivered an RKO on Orton, then crawled out the open cage door with both Kane and Orton down.

Rollins fell to the floor clutching the championship belt. The commentators bickered over Orton using an RKO in the match on Kane, with King saying Kane wasn't part of the match and JBL saying it didn't matter. King said he thought the RKO was banned, but JBL said it wasn't banned for Seth to use it. Cole wished fans good night from Chicago.

Sting vs. Triple H

Triple H made his entrance complete with Terminator-style robots rising up alongside him. He arrived out wearing a skeleton mask and arms in Terminator style, and then had an intro from Arnold Schwarzenegger saying "This is Judgment Day." Lilian Garcia announced the only way to win is by pinfall or submission. Michael Cole listed off Sting's various accomplishments with WCW, but ignored referring to anything TNA.

During the match, Sting had the upperhand and put on the submission hold. Out of nowhere, DX theme music hit and out came Billy Gunn, Road Dogg and X-Pac. Each man got punched or knocked off the apron. HHH tried to hit a Pedigree but Sting backdropped him out of the ring. From there, The Icon dove out on top of everyone to crash in a pile. Back in the ring, HHH reset and hit the Pedigree, but Sting kicked out. A frustrated HHH went out and got his sledgehammer since there were no DQ’s. More theme music hit and it was the NWO. Out came Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan and Scott Hall wearing black and white NWO shirts. The three older legends walked down the ramp to confront DX, knocking them down at the bottom of the ramp as Cole yelled “The Monday Night War has come to WrestleMania!” In the ring, Sting grabbed HHH and hit the Scorpion Deathlock, but HHH kicked out. Sting put the submission on him and HHH tried to grab the sledgehammer but Hogan pulled it away. The DX and NWO guys all fought outside the ring while Sting kept the submission on HHH in the ring. Triple H eventually reached and grabbed a bottom rope to break it.

Out of nowhere, Shawn Michaels appeared in the ring wearing a DX shirt. Sting turned and saw him just as Michaels hit the Sweet Chin Music. Michaels hit a DX crotch chop and left the ring as Triple H rolled on top of Sting. The ref counted with Sting barely breaking out of the pin.

Triple H crawled on top of Sting and made the surprising pinfall win. Post-match, the members of DX helped up HHH while NWO helped up Sting. They faced each other from opposite corners. HHH walked to center ring and extended his hand for Sting. Sting shook as the two shared some words.

Winner: Triple H defeated Sting via pinfall.

Backstage, Maria Menounous interviewed new IC title holder Daniel Bryan who spoke about how great it was to win for the first time. He was interrupted first by Pat Patterson congratulating him and then Rowdy Roddy Piper. Ric Flair stopped by next, followed by Ricky The Dragon Steamboat and Bret Hart. They all started up a “Yes” chant, but then Ron Simmons came in and looked at them, drawing silence. Maria asked if he ever won the IC title. Simmons looked around a moment then yelled “DAMN” into the mic before walking off. They started back up their “Yes” chant again.

They had a performance by Travis Barker, Skylar Grey and rapper Kid Ink.

Paige & AJ Lee vs. The Bella Twins

Paige & AJ Lee defeated The Bella Twins via submission. The early story was the Bellas isolating Paige to wear her down as they knocked AJ off the apron several times to get rid of a tag partner for Paige. Eventually, Paige threw both Bellas to the outside and then dove onto them from the apron. She managed to crawl over and escape Nikki to make a hot tag to AJ. AJ took it to Nikki, with Paige grabbing Brie on the outside and tossing her into the ring steps. From there, AJ slapped on her Black Widow and Nikki eventually tapped giving Paige and AJ the big win.

Winners: Paige & AJ Lee defeated The Bella Twins via submission.

They showed highlights from last night's WWE Hall of Fame 2015 induction ceremony. Members of the 2015 Hall of Fame were all introduced on stage in front of the WrestleMania crowd including Rikish, Larry Zbyszko, Alundra Blayze, Steve Michalek on behalf of his son Connor "The Crusher" Michalek, The Bushwackers, Tatsumi Fujinami, Lanny Pofo on behalf of his brother Macho Man Randy Savage, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Kevin Nash.

John Cena vs. Rusev - United States Championship Match

The close saw Cena power up with Rusev holding The Accolade on him. Cena broke out of it. Lana tried to cause some interference on the apron. The ref started to try to get her to get off the apron. Meanwhile, Rusev charged at Cena who stepped aside with the ref. Instead, Rusev bumped Lana who flew off the apron and onto the outside floor near the ramp. Rusev was distracted and Cena grabbed him to hit a winning Attitude Adjustment and the pinfall. Post-match, Rusev yelled at Lana who was being checked on by refs and medical staff. Rusev walked off without her, still angry at his first loss and losing the title. Cena went over and kissed some family members in the front row.

Winner: John Cena defeated Rusev via pinfall to become new United States Champion.

Stephanie announced a new record of 76,976 in attendance for the event. Triple H gloated about defeating Sing and all of the fans watching there and around the world tonight. He said he owns Sting, just like they own all the superstars, divas and fans. Triple H said The Authority always wins. Just then, The Rock’s theme music hit and out came The Rock to interrupt.

Rock said HHH doesn’t own the people backstage and damn sure doesn’t own him. He talked about how they can talk all this trash or simply create another WrestleMania moment. HHH got in Rock’s face and said they had a hell of a rivalry, but he remembers kicking Rock’s butt for most of it. He said he has nothing to prove and walked away. Rock told him it sounds like he left his balls in Stamford, CT. HHH took off his jacket and prepared to fight, but Stephanie got in between them and reminded Rock that he wouldn’t be anywhere if not for the McMahons. Rock made a comment that Steph wouldn't be in power if not for Vince McMahon's "Johnson." Steph shook her head for a few moments then said "still crass as always" and slapped Rock in the face. She asked what he was going to do about it, hit a woman? Steph told Rock to leave, and he got out of the ring and went up the ramp, but stopped, then walked back to ringside.

Rock walked over the crowd and stopped at Ronda Rousey of the UFC who was in the front row. They shared a look and then Rock invited her over the barrier and into the ring with them. Rousey obliged. Steph tried to pretend that she and Ronda were friends, but Rhonda shook that off. Ultimately, Triple H said he was getting fed up with this whole routine. He tried to walk over and strike Rock, but Rock fought back and beat up HHH in the corner. HHH went across the ring and Rhonda threw him down with an armbar takedown. Steph yelled at Rhonda over what just happened, and tried to hit her, but Rhonda grabbed Steph into an armlock several times. She eventually let go and Steph rolled out of the ring to HHH to back up the ramp. Rock got on the mic to say that was the WrestleMania moment of the night with The Rock and Ronda laying the SmackDown on The Authority.

The Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt

Wyatt arrived out carrying his lantern down the ramp and was trailed by staggering faceless scarecrows who acted like zombies. Wyatt stopped at one who was motionless on the ramp, tapped it on the forehead and it was able to follow along with the others to the ring.

Late in this one as both guys were worn down, Taker hit a huge clothesline and then stumbled near the ropes. He signaled the cutthroat and then picked up Wyatt for a Tombstone Piledriver. Taker had the cover, but Wyatt kicked out of it to everyone’s surprise. Taker signaled another cutthroat and went for a Tombstone but Bray reversed to hit Sister Abigail for a near fall of his own. The WWE Network video feed cut out but audio stayed on. Later, Wyatt went for Sister Abigail again, but Taker countered and hit the Tombstone Piledriver another time on Wyatt. This time, the pin was good for the win, giving Taker a 22-1 record at Mania. JBL yelled “The Deadman does it again!”

Winner: The Undertaker wins via pinfall over Bray Wyatt.

Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar (WWE Championship)

Reigns hit another big Spear on Lesnar but was recovering near the corner. Just then, Seth Rollins’ theme music hit and he arrived out with the MITB briefcase sans J&J Security. Rollins headed down to the ring quickly as both wrestlers were still on the ring mat. He handed over the briefcase to the ref, who gave it to the outside. Lilian announced that Seth was cashing in for the championship, making this a Triple Threat. He went over and kicked Rollins out of the ring, then set up in the corner. As Lesnar started to got on his hands and feet, Rollins rushed over and hit a Curb Stomp on him. He went over to check the outside for Reigns to make sure he was down, then went for a second Curb Stomp on Brock. This time, Brock caught him and prepared for the F5. Just then, Reigns came in and Speared down Brock for a pinfall. Rollins hit the ropes, came over and Curb Stomped Reigns, then pinned him for the win with Brock out of it. Rollins posed at top of the stage with the WWE Championship as fireworks went off in the stadium to celebrate his victory.

Winner: Seth Rollins defeated Roman Reigns via pinfall in a Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship.

Post-match, Rollins had the rest of the crew hold Ziggler down and then hit a Curb Stomp. Ryback and Rowan came back in but were overpowered. All of a sudden, Randy Orton’s music hit and the Apex Predator made his return, rushing to the ring. Orson hit RKO’s on J&J as well as Kane. He grabbed Rollins through the ropes to try a DDT, but Big Show pulled him off the apron. Rollins ran out of the arena as Orton posed in the ring.

Goldust defeated Stardust via pinfall.

Goldust surprised Stardust with a slide pinfall out of nowhere. The commentators noted that Goldust didn’t really do anything to hurt his brother in the match. Post-match, Goldust offered a hand to Stardust to get up. Instead, Stardust grabbed the hand, let it go, and rolled to the outside to walk up the ramp, leaving Goldust in the ring. Post-match, backstage Goldust was telling Dusty that he tried not to hurt him. Stardust came walking up mocking the "Family Reunion." He tossed Goldust into some equipment and beat on him a bit. Dusty yelled "Cody" to get him to stop. Stardust got upset over that and got in his face to tell him "You killed Cody Rhodes, and I am not living in your shadow, you're living in mine." He delivered another kick to Goldust's gut then walked off.

Tyson Kidd & Cesaro defeated The Usos via pinfall to win the WWE Tag Team Championships.

One of The Usos went for the splash off the corner late, but Kidd got both knees up and tried to grab a rollover pin. Kidd put on the Sharpshooter and The Uso struggled not to tap. Eventually his partner got in and super kicked Kidd in the head to break it. Cesar came in to fight with him. Moments later, Kidd was able to hit a huge twisting suplex after kicking the Uso in his hurt leg to put down his opponent for a pinfall to win the titles. Natalya got in the ring to celebrate post-match with the new champs.

Triple H and Sting meet in the ring face-to-face

Triple H talked about his recent in-ring talk with Ric Flair on Raw and how tempers flared. He said now he is waiting for Sting to show up. After a few moments, the arena went dark and Sting’s image appeared on the big screen with his music playing. Sting appeared from backstage as the crowd popped and then headed to the ring to face HHH. Triple H told Sting he’s not mad at him but feels bad at him for backing the wrong horse - WCW.

He added when things went south, Sting went down with a sinking ship and it was guys like HHH who made that ship go down. Triple H said his legacy was putting his company out of business. HHH said he can see that’s why Sting tried to put him and his wife out of business at Survivor Series, but he failed at it, and at the end of the day, “Failure is what you do.” HHH told Sting maybe he can give him his legacy back if Sting stands with his head held high and walks away. He said they can do business together from here on and Sting’s legacy will live forever through WWE Network, DVDs, merchandise and more. He said maybe down the line he’d even put him in the Hall of Fame. Triple H removed his jacket and said “or we can do it the other way.” He said he would beat what’s left of his legacy out of him now if he doesn’t leave.

Sting kept standing there and HHH said it seems he made his mind up. He kept talking then stopped and went for a punch but Sting avoided it and punched away on HHH. HHH went to the corner and then responded by popping Sting in the face with the mic. He kept kicking away on Sting and then went to the outside to get the sledgehammer. HHH went over towards him with it, but Sting was back up with the bat and jabbed it into HHH’s throat. Triple H put his hands up as Sting backed him to the corner, where HHH dropped the sledgehammer out of the ring.

Sting took the bat away and pointed up at the WrestleMania 31 banner in the distance. He kept doing it and then putting the bat back into HHH’s throat. Sting started to walk away, and HHH rushed at him, but Sting turned around and smashed in the gut with theft. He paced a bit, the got HHH up for a Scorpion Death Drop for emphasis. Michael Cole said “The challenge is clear, will it happen five years from tonight at WrestleMania?”

Nikki Bella defeated Paige via pinfall to retain the WWE Divas Championship.

Paige had a submission move locked on Nikki late, but Nikki struggled and eventually grabbed the ropes to break it. She yanked Paige into the corner turnbuckles hard, causing Page to snap back against the mat. Nikki rolled her and secured the tights to get the pinfall win.

Post-match, Cole said breaking news from backstage had come in - Triple H and Sting will wrestle at WrestleMania in five weeks from tonight.

Bad News Barrett defeated Dean Ambrose due to disqualification to retain the Intercontinental Championship.

Late in the match, Ambrose started to unload on Barrett in the corner with boot stomps. The ref warned Ambrose to back away, but he ignored it, so the ref called for the bell. Post-match, Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds and then grabbed the IC belt to mock Barrett. Ambrose left with the belt as Barrett yelled to ask where it was.

Bray Wyatt called out The Undertaker for WrestleMania 31 match

Ominous vocal music played as the Druids came out, wheeling a casket down to the ring. The casket eventually opened and Bray Wyatt was inside. He talked about once fearing a certain individual but now he is just like everyone else, “weak and broken, just a shell of what he once was.”

Wyatt said Undertaker’s soul is lost and now his mission is clear. Wyatt said he knew Undertaker could hear him and at WrestleMania “I will claim the soul of the Undertaker.” Wyatt laughed maniacally about it and laid back down inside the casket. The druids closed the casket as Wyatt’s music played out the segment.

Rusev defeated John Cena via submission to retain the WWE United States Championship.

Cena had the STF on Rusev at several parts of the match, but Rusev escaped them each. Later still, Cena hit an AA but Rusev kicked out of it last second. After the two men recovered, Rusev gained control and locked the Accolade on Cena for several moments. Cena struggled to withstand it and eventually got to his feet. Moments later, Lana got in the ring with the US title belt to provide a distraction to the ref. Rusev slipped off Cena and kicked him with a low blow. From there, Lana left the ring and Rusev put on the Accolade with Cena unconscious. Eventually the ref found Cena was out of it and called for the bell. Luke set up the ladder in the ring and made a climb but Dolph rushed into the ring to shove the ladder over to the ropes. Luke came back with a big boot to knock Ziggler down. Ziggler made another save later into the match with Harper responding by knocking him down and shoving a ladder onto him.

Later still, Dolph was on the outside and stood up with a ladder. Harper dove out of the ring and crashed into the ladder to take down Ziggler. Harper started to clutch his left arm with JBL saying he may have broken it. Harper continued to hold the arm and made a save moments later to knock Ziggler off a ladder in the ring.

Both guys punched each other off the ladder at one point. Ziggler was bleeding on the face, with Harper bleeding on his arm. A bit later, Harper set up for a powerbomb but Dolph countered and drove him face first into a ladder on the mat. Dolph made the climb with Harper grabbing his leg towards the end. At one point, The Usos had control, but Miz left the ring to get his stolen Slammy and the belt to leave the scene. Mizdow followed him. He blamed the vigilante Sting for that, and said John Cena is going to pay. Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury were standing by with him. Rollins said he doesn't need a pin or submission tonight just to smash Cena through a table like he's been doing the past few weeks. He said he will stop at nothing until Cena brings The Authority back.

Erick Rowan vs. Big Show - Stairs Match

Show dominated most of the match, but Rowan countered a move at one point and backdropped Show onto the bottom of the steel stairs in the ring. Cole said Show hadn’t moved sine that happened. Rowan picked up the other half of the steps and then got up on the ropes to jump off with the steps. Show rolled out of the way in time but still got caught on his side. King said the stairs bounced back and hit Rowan in the head.

John Cena vs. Seth Rollins - Tables Match

A stipulation was included for this match that should Cena lose, he will lose his #1 contender status for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Cena got the early advantage taking Rollins down to the mat. Several times early on, Cena brought a table in, with J&J trying to yank it out. The second time Cena shoved the table to cause them to hit the crowd barrier. Cena had the table in the corner and was about to put Rollins through but J&J got involved to stop Cena and moved the table out of the ring, allowing Rollins to recover.

Cena got in control again and hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle. He set up for the AA, but J&J came in to take him down then helped Rollins beat him up some. They tried to pick up Cena to smash through the table but he countered and then beat up Noble up the ramp. Cena grabbed a guard rail from near the ramp to hit down Noble, Mercury and Rollins. He suplexed Noble onto the guardrail, with Mercury coming over to hit cent head first against tables.

Cena tried to fight off Mercury and Rollins, with Rollins getting the apprehend. he set up two tables outside the ring and then got on the apron to try to suplex Cena out. Cena blocked it twice and then suplexed Rollins back in the ring. Later still, Cena got control and had Rollins in the AA near a table. He accidentally hit the referee down and he fell to the outside. Cena ended up fighting Rollins on the corner and hitting an AA through the table but there was no ref to see it. J&J rushed back in to attack Cena and cleared out the table debris, then set up another in the corner for Rollins.

Cena fought them all off and then hit an AA with both Mercury and Noble on his shoulders through the table. Rollins got back in, and he and Cena battled on the apron with the two tables set up next to the ring. The two ended up shoving each other off the apron together and crashing through the tables, just as the ref saw it. He called for the bell with the commentators confused over what happened.

Two other refs came in to try to help decide the winner with one saying it was Cena the other say it was Rollins. The legal ref told Lillian to restart the match since he couldn’t determine a winner. Rollins quickly attacked Cena and dove out of the ring onto him. Cena recovered and slammed Rollins onto the announcers table, causing him to knock Cole down. JBL checked on Cole who wasn’t talking. JBL’s headset appeared broken too.

Big Show appeared and walked down the ramp towards the ring. He got in the ring and tossed part of a table out, then attacked Cena with headsets and other big moves. He set up for a move to chokeslam Cena, but suddenly Roman Reigns’ theme music hit and he came walking down through the crowd. Reigns got in the ring and punched back at Big Show who head butted him away. Reigns responded with the Superman punch and then speared Show through a table in the corner. Rollins brought his MITB case in and Reigns ducked it, then hit a Superman punch on him. Cena grabbed a stumbling Rollins to AA through the table nearby for the big win.

Cena celebrated and looked out at Heyman who nodded back at him, realizing Cena will meet Lesnar at Royal Rumble in January.

Winner: John Cena won the tables match against Seth Rollins to retain his #1 Contender Status for the WWE World Heavyweight title.

As he was arguing with Brie, Nikki retrieved some sort of spray from inside her boot and sprayed AJ in the face. That set up the Rack Attack for the pinfall win.

Winner: Nikki Bella defeated AJ Lee via pinfall to retain the Divas Championship.

Roman Reigns had a backstage interview saying he vowed to come back and make impact. He said spearing Big Show through a table and punching Rollins in the mouth, that was impact. He said if fans think he did damage at the Royal Rumble last year, just wait until they see this year, because that will be impact. Believe that.

Ryback vs. Kane - Chairs Match

At one point, Kane threw a bunch of chairs into the ring and attempted a chokeslam. Ryback blocked it and dumped Kane onto the set of one of the chairs. Ryback was able to bash Kane repeatedly with a chair at one point. He set up for the Meathook Clothesline but as he rushed forward, Kane threw the chair at his face to knock Ryback down.

Kane managed to hit a chokeslam moments later, but Ryback was able to kick out. Ryback recovered, hit the Meathook Clothesline and got the pinfall win.

Winner: Ryback won via pinfall over Kane in the chairs match.

Jack Swagger vs. Rusev - US Championship Match

Swagger had the Ankle Lock but Rusev rolled through to counter it, tossing Swagger down. Rusev got on his back for the Accolade with Swagger putting an arm to the mat to try to block it. He struggled a bit and eventually got to the ropes. However, Rusev yanked him back to center ring and put the hold on again. Swagger looked about to pass out, but fought back and got to his feet, then was able to turn it into another Ankle Lock. Rusev struggled with it and finally was able to get to the ropes.

On the outside of the ring, Rusev managed to deliver a big boot to Swagger to knock him down. Back in the ring, another big boot took down Swagger. Rusev put on The Accolade again and this time Swagger lightly tapped out giving Rusev the win.

Winner: Rusev won via submission over Jack Swagger to retain the United States Championship.

Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt - TLC Match

At one point, Bray knocked Dean back onto a ladder in the ring, then hit the running Senton Bomb on him for a near fall. He put a rest hold on Ambrose for a bit using a a kendo stick in his mouth. Dean stood up but Wyatt chopped him back down with the stick, then set up a ladder in the corner to whip Ambrose against. Wyatt extended his arms and rushed from corner towards the ladder but Dean moved aside for Wyatt to run into it.

Later, Ambrose set Wyatt up on a table on the ramp, then climbed a mid-sized ladder to sit on top of. He jumped off with an elbow drop to smash through Wyatt through a table. Dean set up another table and put Wyatt on it, then climbed an even bigger ladder to do another big elbow drop off and smash Bray through the table. The fans chanted “one more time” after.

Wyatt went for Sister Abigail at one point, with Ambrose countering for a near fall. He threw Wyatt into a ladder in the corner, then hit Dirty Deeds for a near fall of his own. Moments later, Dean noticed something on a tablet screen near ringside. He got a weird look on his face and walked up towards the stage to get the biggest ladder on the set and bring it down to set up in front of the Spanish announcers table. Wyatt was back up and started to attack using a chair on Dean. Wyatt tried to throw Dean towards the steps with a chair against his throat. Dean blocked it and did it to Bray instead.

With Bray down on the Spanish announce table, Dean climbed to the top of the ladder. He paused for a moment then did the elbow drop from off the top to crash through Wyatt and the announce table. Both guys were down as refs rushed in to check on them.

The finish saw Ambrose take a monitor he had laying near the side of the ring. He tried to rush forward with it to hit Wyatt but it was stuck to the wires and exploded with sparks flying, blinding Ambrose. Wyatt grabbed him for a quick Sister Abigail to win it.

Winner: Bray Wyatt defeated Dean Ambrose via pinfall in a TLC match.

Survivor Series Match Results

The pay-per-view opened with a playback of video highlights covering the main event match, including the stipulation Vince McMahon gave that if Team Authority loses, The Authority will no longer be in power. Cena asked if Authority loses if he'll have to throw them out personally. Triple H got in his face telling him it's going to be a holiday week for him, because he's going to personally be responsible for four co-workers getting fired. Triple H said after they get fired, they'll be ignored and completely forgotten about.

Stephanie tried to make it sound like she and Triple H would still be running the show from WWE Headquarters in CT even if Team Authority loses. Vince stepped in to tell her that wasn't what he had in mind. Stephanie tried to brown nose some more. Vince said that the only person who can bring Stephanie and Triple H back to power should they lose tonight, is John Cena. Cena smirked about that, with Vince telling Stephanie that she's a McMahon and he has faith in them. Steph got in Cena's face saying if he didn't wipe that smile off his face she'd do it for him. This is a traditional Survivor Series elimination match. If Team Authority loses, The Authority is out of power in the WWE. If Team Cena loses, they are all fired from WWE.

Mark Henry got revved up by Triple H and the rest of his team. Henry walked into the ring and started to yell at all of Team Cena how he’d eliminate one after the other. After some more riling up from his team, Henry turned to rush at Big Show, who threw the KO punch and knocked out Henry for the first pinfall elimination. That made it 5-4 in favor of Team Cena.

Later into the match, Cena got involved to take it to Kane. Cole noted that Cena is 8-1 at Survivor Series. At one point in the match, Ryback and Rusev went at it. Ryback gained the apprehend, but Rusev escaped Shellshocked with Kane delivering a huge boot to Ryback to level him. Both teams got involved in a big brawl. Ryback was eliminated to make it 4 vs. 4.

The match continued on later with Rusev avoiding a Zig Zag from Ziggler and tossing him outside the ring onto other wrestlers. Rusev left the ring and started to tear apart the ring announcers table so he could drag Ziggler over to it. After putting Dolph on top of the table, Rusev stood on the table Cole, JBL and King were at and yelled out before jumping to try to splash on Ziggler. Dolph rolled out of the way and Rusev crashed through the table. The ref started a double countout as both men were down on the outside. Ziggler managed to roll back in before 10, but The Authority couldn’t get Rusev back in time. Rusev was eliminated to make it 4-3 Team Cena.

The action broke down again as Cena and Kane went at it, but Rollins got involved to Curb Stomp Cena down. Cena and Kane tagged in Rowan and Harper who started to go at it immediately. Rowan threw Harper into the corner then splashed on him in the corner. Rowan knocked Kane off the apron, but Harper jumped on his back. Kane eventually got in the ring to try to chokeslam Rowan. Rowan pulled Kane's hand away, but Seth Rollins flew off the corner to kick Rowan. Harper delivered a clothesline and eliminated Rowan by pinfall. That made it 3-3.

Cole noted that Cena and Ziggler were both hurt. It was down to them and Big Show for Team Cena. However, as Show and Cena faced off against the three members of Team Authority, Show turned and punched Cena down. The Authority were in shock, but their legal man scored the eliminating pinfall. Show walked over to the side of the ring and extended a hand out to Triple H who grinned and shook his hand. Show left the match from there, getting counted out, leaving just Ziggler vs. 3 members of Team Authority. Cole and crew noted the odds were against Ziggler now with 3 opponents as well as Mercury, Noble, Triple H and Steph outside the ring.

Ziggler put up a valiant fight, managing to escape a pinfall attempt by Kane. Dolph fought back from the corner as Kane tried to superplex him. After knocking Kane off the corner, Ziggler responded with a quick move and then the Zig Zag followed by a pinfall. That made it 2-1 in favor of Team Authority, with Luke Harper and Seth Rollins left.

Harper immediately came in and leveled Ziggler with a big kick. He kept on punishing Ziggler and then hit a huge power bomb slam. Ziggler barely kicked out of the pinfall. Moments later, Ziggler managed to steal a rollup pin on Harper to eliminate him out of nowhere. That made it 1 vs. 1 with Ziggler vs. Rollins. Triple H looked nervous after the latest result.

Rollins rushed in and started to kick away on Ziggler, then tossed him to the outside for more of a beatdown. Rollins threw Dolph into the crowd barrier several times before flexing and taunting the fans. Back in the ring, Ziggler had several near falls with Triple H going crazy on the apron. Stephanie tried to calm him down as Rollins and Dolph reset. Rollins threw Ziggler into the corner turnbuckle and went for the pinfall, but Dolph still kicked out. Rollins managed to gain control late and shoved Ziggler off the corner, then went for a flying knee move. Ziggler rolled away and Dolph hit the Fameasser for a near fall that sent the fans into a frenzy.

Mercury and Noble tried to interfere but Dolph knocked both guys off the apron. Ziggler hit Zig Zag moments later and had the pinfall, but Triple H yanked the referee from the ring before he could count the pinfall. That led to an all-out assault on Ziggler by Mercury, Noble and then Triple H. Dolph managed to Superkick both Mercury and Noble to clear them from the ring. Moments later he hit a Zig Zag on Rollins and had a pinfall but Triple H got in the ring and took out the new ref who tried to count it.

Triple H started to unload on Ziggler and kept on beating him down. He eventually hit The Pedigree to put Ziggler down, and then put Rollins on him for the cover. Triple H called for another ref to come down for the pinfall count. A ref made his way down and got in the ring and was about to start counting but suddenly Sting’s theme music hit and the arena darkened as Sting’s entrance played on the big screen. Eventually, Sting made his way out onto the stage to a huge reaction.

Sting eventually walked down to the ring where he and Triple H paced one another. After the crowd chanted and Sting absorbed the moment, HHH started to jaw at him. He took a swing towards Stinger, but Sting ducked it and kicked HHH hard in the gut. From there, Sting hit a huge DDT on Triple H, then walked over and turned Rollins on his back, then put Ziggler’s arm on him for the pin. A ref got in the ring and counted the pinfall 1-2-3. The crowd erupted as Ziggler’s music hit and Sting walked up the ramp to go backstage.

Post-match, Ziggler celebrated on the crowd barrier. Cena came out from backstage to hug Ziggler and helped him backstage. Stephanie eventually came to on the outside of the ring as HHH got up in the ring. Steph went in to check on him asking “what happened?” with tears in her eyes as the reality set in for them. Fans chanted at them “You are fired” towards the end of the show as Stephanie tried to tell HHH “It’s not over,” and then shrieked at the fans as the PPV went off the air.

Winner: Team Cena defeated Team Authority with Dolph Ziggler eliminating Seth Rollins via pinfall to become sole survivor for Team Cena.
