Smackdown Preview 06.13.08

Last week on Smackdown, Batista won an 8 man tag team match to put himself in the title chase, despite the odds being stacked against him. Batista's teammates were handpicked by General Manager Vickie Guerrero to face Edge and 3 other La Familia members. Despite having Funaki, Colin Delaney & Nunzio as partners, the Animal managed to pull off the win. Now Batista has earned himself the #1 contenders spot for the World Heavyweight title. What will Edge & Vickie have to say about Batista on Smackdown? Will the Animal have more words for the current champ, Edge?

Last week also saw Smackdown GM Vickie Guerrero announce a new title, the Diva championship. In a "Golden Dreams" match all of the ECW & Smackdown divas competed to pull down a golden star from a pole. Natalya was the best of the bunch and has earned 1 spot in the match to decide this new diva's title. Who will earn the spot as Natalya's opponent for the title?

Vladimir Kozlov continues to decimate all opponents he's given. He's now moved up from fighting amateur wrestlers to challenging members of the Smackdown roster. Last week saw Kozlov easily take care of superstar Jimmy Wang Yang. Who will the machine-like Kozlov face this week?

There's also Montel Vontavius Porter, aka "MVP" who was shown seated in the arena last week to watch the show. MVP had a box seat and seemed to be deep in thought watching the matches. What will be on the former US Champion's mind after surveying the Smackdown talent?
