WWE Releases Melina, Kozlov, Masters, DH Smith & Gail Kim

WWE made several big cuts on Friday to the rosters of Raw, Smackdown, Superstars and NXT. The latest to be released from their duties with the company and wished well in future endeavors: Vladimir Kozlov, Chris Masters, Melina, Gail Kim and DH Smith.

While none of those released were in pursuit of any major championship gold, it seems Kozlov and Masters were semi-important in current roles. Masters had seemed to be on the upswing with victories over the likes of Drew McIntyre, Tyler Reks and Jack Swagger. It may have been that WWE was trying to audition Masters to see if the fans would get behind him enough. Masters just recently lost via submission to Jack Swagger on Superstars this past week.

Meanwhile, Vladimir Kozlov had two victories this past week. On NXT he defeated JTG, and then on Superstars he defeated Primo. Quite a way to go out for the Moscow Mauler, who is a former tag champion. He was involved in a mini-feud with JTG on NXT, and was a former pro mentor. Apparently, WWE had no more use for the big man, which means he'll probably wind up in TNA with the others.

Gail Kim, Melina and DH Smith. There's not much to be said of them right now as WWE just wasn't using them much at all. Every once in a while they'd show up in a match, but weren't part of any interesting stories or plots. All of these released superstars and divas were title holders at one point during their careers though, and are likely to show up with TNA at some point.

Best of luck to all five competitors with their future work, because once again WWE's loss is TNA's gain!

The good news is there are still plenty of WWE Superstars and Divas working. One of which is Maryse, as seen in her latest photo shoot video (HOT)!

WWE Superstars Results 08/04/11

WWE Superstars Results 08/04/11:

After the pyro finished exploding to start the show, commentator Jack Korpela was on hand, saying Summerslam is less than two weeks away and there's two legit WWE Champions. Alicia Fox was introduced to the start the show as Korpela and Striker talked over Summerslam. Striker was looking sweaty, potentially from his match on NXT.

Kaitlyn vs. Alicia Fox

As the match started, Striker noted that Beth Phoenix is now the #1 contender for the Divas Championship. Alicia took control early on with a headlock, but Kaitlyn escaped and put a headscissors on Alicia for a bit. Kaitlyn was able to pick up Alicia with one arm and sat her on the corner. However, Alicia jumped off the corner and took Kaitlyn down to gain control. Striker and Korpela talked over Kaitlyn's assets and flaws.

Kaitlyn made a late comeback with several takedowns including a dropkick takedown for a near fall. She worked on Alicia more in the corner. Kaitlyn botched a move near the ropes with Alicia able to recover and kick her in the gut. She followed with the scissors kick to get the win.

Winner: Alicia Fox wins via pinfall over Kaitlyn.

Pat Silva vs. Brodus Clay

Brodus Clay, former bodyguard and rookie for Alberto Del Rio, resurfaced in a match tonight against an amateur wrestler. Korpela said Clay hasn't been seen since he was busted open at Extreme Rules 2011 PPV.

Clay had an elbow drop on Silva for the pinfall but lifted up at 2. He followed up by throwing Silva backwards against the ropes, then sent him against the ropes for a "rhino-like headbutt" to the man's gut. He followed with a huge splash in the corner, then came from off the ropes to hit a flying splash on Silva. Korpela called it "The Fall of Humanity." Brodus with the easy win. Striker said this is the future of the WWE.

Winner: Brodus Clay wins via pinfall over Pat Silva.

Josh Matthews was now on hand to talk about WWE.com's Summerslam swimsuit pics. Fans can see WWE Divas past and present including Kelly, Stacy, Lita, Maryse, Trish and Eve.

Vladimir Kozlov vs. Primo

Stanford talked about how Primo used to be part of DZP with Zack Ryder for a bit. He and Matthews talked about how Kozlov and Primo are proving they can go out on their own without partners. Before this match could start, JTG arrived out to ringside. Stanford talked about how Kozlov and JTG fought on NXT this past Tuesday with Kozlov getting the win. JTG joined Matthews and Stanford on commentary.

JTG talked about how Stanford is more gangsta than Matthews because he rapped on the True Long Island Story with Zack Ryder. During the match, Kozlov picked up Primo and put him on the corner to kick him. He caught Primo and prepared for a running slam, but Primo slipped off and took Kozlov down. Scott Stanford brought up Coolio to JTG as "the original gangsta." JTG corrected Stanford that he's more gangsta than Coolio.

Primo went for a running move on Kozlov in the corner, but Koz moved out of the way so Primo hit the corner. Moments later, Kozlov used his headbutts to Primo's chest. Primo kicked Kozlov in the face as he charged him in the corner. Primo jumped off the corner for an axe handle, but Kozlov batted him down from the air, then took the pinfall. JTG shook his head about it and he had some words with Kozlov but never got out of his seat to get in the ring.

Winner: Vladimor Kozlov wins via pinfall over Primo.

They showed the Raw Rebound. It featured the confrontation between CM Punk and COO Triple H in the ring as well as the later in-ring meeting with Triple H and John Cena. Triple H told Cena he won't strip him of the championship, because his claim is legit. CM Punk arrived out to interject. Punk asked if Triple H was going to strip him of his title he rightfully won at MITB PPV. Triple H said neither man will get stripped of their title, they'll settle it one-on-one in a match at Summerslam. The match will determine the undisputed WWE Champion. Scott Stanford reviewed the announced matches for Summerslam so far including the two big championship bouts.

Jack Swagger made his ring entrance for the main event right before Superstars took a break for ads.

Chris Masters vs. Jack Swagger

Early on, Swagger put on several submission holds to try to get the early advantage. Masters tried to power out, only to get slammed down to the mat. Later on, Masters ducked two clothesline attempts and then took Swagger down with a flying elbow. He followed with a suplex for a near fall. Swagger stayed in control after hitting a huge leg drop and had yet another pinfall attempt.

Masters went for a powerslam with Swagger on his shoulder, but Jack slipped off and shoved Chris into the corner hard. He followed with his running Vader bomb for a near fall. Stanford sent it to break saying they had a "real humdinger" going on for Superstars tonight.

After the break, Swagger was in control as he worked on Masters' lower back. Masters made a comeback from against the ropes and then the two traded punches before Masters rammed Swagger into the corner. Masters took down Swagger with a big clothesline, but Swagger responded by clipping Chris' leg and then booted him down. Swagger had a near fall, and then in frustration wrapped the scissor lock around Masters' midsection. Swagger used the rope for some leverage so the ref counted him until Jack broke it off.

Swagger rushed at Masters who sidestepped him and then put on the Masterlock. Swagger was able to escape near the ropes, so Masters followed with a big slam and then a knee to the face when Jack ran at him. Masters jumped from the corner to take down Swagger with a shoulder tackle. After a Spinebuster, Masters had yet another near fall. Later still, Swagger went for the Vader Bomb, but Masters put his knees up to block. Masters tried to lock on the Masterlock from there, but Swagger backed him into the corner hard. Swagger put on the Ankle Lock to get Masters to finally tap out.

Winner: Jack Swagger wins by submission over Chris Masters.

Matthews reviewed the highlights of the match including how Swagger won. Swagger did his run around the ring and gloated about the win. Scott Stanford signed off for the Raw crew for this episode of Superstars with Summerslam approaching.

WWE NXT Results 07/20/11

WWE NXT Results from MN:

Titus told Young it only matters what he does in this ring. Titus picked up the dummy and then tossed it over the ropes out at Young. Maryse polled the crowd for response on who the winner should be, and Titus easily got the crowd cheers of the three competitors. He did his dog barking several times as Young and Bateman talked trash at him from outside the ring. Grisham said Titus is now miles away from his competitors with redemption points.

Coming up next, Regal said he can't wait as Jimmy the Gimmick aka JTG faces Vlad Kozlov.

Regal talked about Alberto Del Rio winning the Raw Money in the Bank match to get the briefcase and championship match contract. Regal informed fans they can check out exclusive pics and info on WWE.com from the Pay-Per-View.

Vladimir Kozlov vs JTG

JTG came out with a mic in hand saying it's quite obvious Vlad doesn't know what a gangsta is. JTG said his speech goes out to all the haters in Minnesota too. He told Kozlov when he wakes up and looks in the mirror every day, he'll never be as fly as JTG.

After break, the match started with JTG shoving Kozlov a bit. Kozlov rushed at him and took him down, with JTG getting under the ropes to escape. Kozlov continued with momentum, knocking JTG down with a shoulder block. JTG rolled out of the ring to recover, but Vlad went out and grabbed him. On his way back in the ring, Vlad got kicked off the apron by JTG, who then shoved him into the ringpost outside.

Later on, JTG hit a missile dropkick from off the corner to take Vlad down. JTG continue to maintain control and had a near fall. Kozlov made his comeback though, and had battering ram headbutts on JTG. He tried for a running powerslam, but JTG slid off and clipped his leg. JTG tried to rush from against the ropes, but Kozlov shoved him down hard. He followed with the one-arm slam finisher to win it.

Winner: Vladimir Kozlov wins via pinfall over JTG.

Backstage, Hornswoggle had a pink heart-shaped box he was carrying as he went up to Maryse. He showed it to her and acted as if it was a gift from her. Maryse said it looks like he has a secret admirer, but said it wasn't her. Horney grabbed her by the leg and she yelled for him to get off her. Maryse opened the heart box of Skittles and dumped them all over Horney, then shoved him down and threw the box at him. Maryse stormed off, but a WWE staffer came rushing up with a package for Hornswoggle. Horney opened it to find a small yellow stuffed animal. He acted puzzled over who gave him all of the gifts.

Yoshi Tatsu was shown backstage walking into the locker room. Suddenly he stopped and the camera showed a jar of rocks dumped over and Yoshi's action figure dismembered. Yoshi screamed out "TYSON!!!!" Grisham pointed out, that was Yoshi's action figure.

Titus O'Neil vs. Darren Young

Hornswoggle accompanied Titus O'Neil to the ring. Young and Titus locked up around the ring early, with the ref separating them in the corner. Young used that as his moment to grab Titus in a headlock and bring him down to one knee. Titus soon gained the advantage with multiple slams to the mat. He locked an abdominal stretch on to further punish Young.

Young tried to leave the match, walking up the ramp at one point, but Titus ran up and retrieved him then brought him back to the ring for more. An Irish whip to the corner sent Young out over the corner to the floor. As the match progressed, Derrick Bateman arrived down to ringside area to watch, right as NXT went to a commercial.

The match returned with Young controlling things with a headlock. Bateman was shown at ringside with some sort of photo or picture in hand. Young had another headlock on Titus, but the big man powered out of it and gave a hip toss to throw Young away.

Later in the match, Hornswoggle was on the apron arguing a call with the ref. Titus tried to go against the ropes, but Bateman tripped him to the mat. The move backfired for Bateman though, because Young missed on a dropkick attempt due to Titus falling. Titus was still able to get up and finish off Young with the Clash of the Titus finisher. Titus hoisted Hornswoggle on his shoulders to celebrate the win. Bateman had a mean look on his mug outside the ring.

Winner: Titus O'Neil wins via pinfall over Darren Young.

The episode of NXT ended with the confrontation on last night's Raw involving Vince McMahon, John Cena and then Triple H. The show ended with Triple H announcing he would be taking over the day-to-day operations of the WWE company and that Vince has been relieved of his position. John Cena was not fired.

Cena slapped the STF on Christian, forcing him to tap out.

Gail Kim vs. Melina

The two divas chattered a bit pre-match and then did a half-hearted handshake. Matthews and Stanford talked about the deterioration of these divas' friendship. Late in the match, Gail hit a flying dropkick from the corner to take down Melina. Gail seemed out of it too. Melina kicked her away as Gail tried to grab her by the leg from the ropes area. Melina went after her but Gail avoided it so Melina fell into a split on the mat. Gail rolled her up and pinned her for the win.

They showed the R-Truth crazy video package with Truth talking about luck, conspiracy theories and Little Jimmy's. He said it's all because of one man, Cena. Santino and Kozlov arrived out for a non-title tag team match against the champs.

Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov vs. Michael McGillicutty & David Otunga

During the match, Santino finally got some control against Otunga and threatened to strike with The Cobra. Otunga rolled out of the ring to regroup. Santino went over to Kozlov and had him help him unwind the Cobra fist.

Later still, Santino gained control against Otunga. Kozlov tagged in and continued the onslaught. He managed to catch Otunga on a move from the ropes and tossed him overhead with a slam throw. Otunga regrouped on the outside with McGill as Superstars took a break.

With the action back, Santino was legal against Otunga, and trying to stretch to tag Kozlov. Otunga grabbed his leg and pulled him towards the other corner to tag in McGillicutty. Santino finally made the tag to Kozlov who came in and headbutted McGill numerous times in the chest, then tossed him onto the corner for more punishment. Kozlov with a huge powerslam but Otunga rushed into break it up. Santino came in, but Otunga pulled the top rope down and Marella fell out. Kozlov, McGill and Otunga hit each other on a triple clothesline. All three went down, but Santino got back to the apron for the hot tag.

Santino rushed at McGill who ducked his move, allowing Otunga to kick him in the back. The ref was distracted with Kozlov and missed it. McGillicutty finished Santino off with a neckbreaker for the win.

Winners: Michael McGillicutty & David Otunga win via pinfall over Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov.

Primo had control after break, but as he whipped Zack to the corner, Ryder rushed back at him with a huge clothesline Ryder now had the momentum and hit a flapjack, then signaled for a huge legdrop. He followed with a Broski boot in the corner for another nearfall. Ryder looked shocked that Primo wouldn't stay down. Primo got a jawbreaker in then went for the Backstabber. Zack held the ropes to shake Primo off, then followed with the Rough Ryder for the win. He got a huge cheer from the home crowd.

Vladimir Kozlov vs. Drew McIntyre

McIntyre arrived out on the ramp with a microphone. He asked the crowd how many of them were chosen by their boss to be the future of their companies. Drew asked a guy in the front row on the way down the ramp but before he could answer he pulled the mic away and yelled "Liar!" Drew said he's the only chosen one, then began to call the US the United States of Laziness and Lies. Drew said he's going to do some choosing of his own, he's going to become the monster they made him: "Drew McIntyre the Great American Nightmare."

In this one, Drew had the early advantage as he worked on Kozlov in the corner. Kozlov made a comeback and used multiple suplexes around the ring on Drew. Later, Yoshi made his comeback with chopes and kick combos. Yoshi missed a high risk love from the top, so Chavo took advantage. After landing a dropkick on Tatsu, Chavo went for Tres Amigos suplexes. He got two of them, but Tatsu prevented a third and hit his Buzzsaw kick to win by pinfall.

Winner: Yoshi Tatsu wins via pinfall over Chavo Guerrero.

The announce team talked about the upcoming WWE Capitol Punishment PPV card.

JTG came out to the arena with a microphone. He called Rhode Island a "city of haters." JTG talked about having hunger, then said he's the flyest superstar around. He said soon he'll be flyest manager in the WWE. Tyson Kidd made his entrance for the main event matchup, with JTG as this week's manager.

Later, Tyson Kidd tried to mount a comeback. He went for the high risk move with Kane catching him from the air. Kane went for a big slam move, with Kidd turning it into his own tornado DDT. Lucky Cannon has 0. They would start off with the "Talk the Talk" competition. Titus eventually won the contest with the most crowd reaction to his speech. O'Neil now has 22 points.

Yoshi Tatsu vs. Darren Young

Grisham talked about how all the rookies on NXT seem to think they can defeat Yoshi, and Yoshi's getting a lot of face time on the show. JTG joined Regal and Grisham halfway through the match to go on guest commentary. JTG said last week Yoshi was way out of line and he needs to show some R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Regal informed JTG he'd crack his skull open if he starts mouthing off to him. He told JTG to talk about his insignifcant career.

Yoshi hit a Shining Wizard late in the match for a near fall. He climbed the corner for a high-risk move, but Chavo got on the apron to distract. Yoshi kicked him away, but the distraction allowed Young to run over and toss Yoshi from the corner. Young captured the winning pinfall after that.

Post-match, Young and Chavo celebrated the win. JTG took off his jacket near the commentators table then rushed into the ring. JTG started to beat on Yoshi for a bit. Yoshi eventually fought back, but Young and Chavo helped triple-team on him. Soon, Vlad Kozlov and Conor O'Brian charged the ring to chase them off.

Winner: Darren Young wins via pinfall over Yoshi Tatsu.

Grisham and Regal were back to hype up Capitol Punishment. They spoke about R-Truth vs Cena for the WWE Championship, then rolled video footage of their current feud. They showed it from the perspective of Cena being proud of who he is and the career he's built. Truth was shown going on and on about conspiracies, "Little Jimmy" and the propaganda behind Cena. They showed Truth injuring Morrison and attacking Mysterio, then Cena. When the camera returned to the commentators, Regal said nobody would want to be Cena this Sunday as he faces that nutcase R-Truth.

Backstage, Lucky Cannon was brushing his hair looking in a handheld mirror. Maryse came up to him to talk about what happened last week saying she loved that purse. Lucky said he's going to make that little troll pay for what he did last week. Maryse said she had good news because she brought the purse to a guy who said he can fix it. Lucky said he could've handled that for her. She said not to worry, she put it on his credit card. Maryse gave him a peck on the cheek and left as Lucky said "great" looking a bit shocked.

Titus O'Neil vs. Lucky Cannon

NXT rookie Lucky Cannon came to the ring with his pro Tyson Kidd. In the ring he got on the mic to say he was happy when he saw what happened to Hornswoggle last night on Raw. He said he wants to do the same thing the second Hornswoggle comes back, boot him in the face.

Cannon was in control as he mocked Titus' dog bark and started to kick him in the corner. That was enough to fire up Titus who started a comeback with several bit shoulder tackles, and then the real dog bark. Titus carried Lucky and then flung him back onto the mat. He went for the pinfall but Lucky was close enough to grab the bottom rope.

Lucky managed to get to the apron and then yanked Titus back against the top rope to fling him forward in the ring. Lucky tried to pick up Titus on his shoulders. Titus slid off and pushed Lucky against the ropes. From there, Titus hit his sit out powerbomb slam for the pinfall.

Winner: Titus O'Neil wins via pinfall over Lucky Cannon.

Time for the next NXT Elimination. Titus O'Neil, Lucky Cannon, Conor O'Brian and Darren Young are the four remaining rookies for the redemption season. Maryse and Matt Striker were ringside with them. Maryse said it's been a rough night and this will be a rough moment for one of them now, because they'll be going home. Matt Striker took over the talking and said it's time to find out who's been eliminated. Roll the flashing pictures on the Titantron. Grisham asked Regal for his pick, but Regal wouldn't give one.

In a big surprise, Lucky Cannon was the guy who's picture showed up on the screen. Cannon got on the mic to ask the crowd if he should be upset and go cry himself to sleep. He kept talking, but soon Titus O'Neil was on a mic in the ring singing the "Na Na Na Na Goodbye" song to get the crowd involved.

Cannon stormed up the ramp ready to head backstage, but Maryse got on the mic telling him to hold up. She went up the ramp and stopped him saying she really need to get something out there. She said she talked to the guy fixing her purse and he told her it wasn't even worth more than $5. She asked Lucky what he had to say for himself. Lucky was speechless and Maryse slapped him, then stormed backstage. Lucky posed up on the ramp saying "It's all about me, whether I'm here or not."

Grisham and Regal reviewed the slap by Maryse on Cannon as NXT went off the air.

Hayes said it looks like they're having a good time, which is good seeing that they've escaped from their pathetic lives. He said they have nothing special about them, just like Yoshi Tatsu, but Tyson Kidd does have something special, ambition. Hayes kept talking up Kidd's talents.

The referee finally came over and told Hayes they have a match to get started. Hayes kept coaching Tyson in the corner and the ref kept asking him to leave the ring. The distraction allowed Tyson to kick Yoshi before the bell. Hayes left the ring and the ref checked on Yoshi, finally calling for the bell.

Late in this one, Kidd managed to get Yoshi into the Sharpshooter. Yoshi resisted tapping out though and managed to get over to the bottom rope to break it. Moments later, Kidd missed on a legdrop on the apron. He went for a sunset flip style pinfall attempt on Yoshi, but Yoshi reversed for his own near fall. Kidd kicked out but as he got to his feet he was hit by Yoshi's roundhouse kick for the win.
Hayes shook his head on the outside but got in the ring to help up Kidd, applauding his efforts. Hayes slapped Kidd down to the mat, then left the ring with Kidd down. Hayes yelled "I've got better things to do and you've gotten more than you'll ever know." Kidd looked up the ramp furiously as Hayes walked backstage.

Winner: Yosh Tatsu wins via pinfall over Tyson Kidd.

They showed a behind the scenes promo video for "That's What I Am" starring Randy Orton as Ed Freel and Oscar-nominated actor Ed Harris as Mr Simon. The film is currently available on DVD and Blu-ray at Walmart.

Vladimir Kozlov & Santino Marella vs. Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins

This marked the reunion of "The Broskis" Ryder and Hawkins. Scott Stanford and Josh Matthews were on commentary for the Raw portion of the show. They reviewed highlights of how Ryder got assistance from Curt Hawkins last week during a singles match against Kozlov. Stanford noted prior to the match that Hawkins and Ryder were the youngest tag champs in history.

Late in the match, Ryder and Hawkins kept isolating Kozlov to keep him away from a tag to Marella. Santino tried to come in to help Kozlov at one point, but the ref kept him out. Hawkins got in and helped drag Koz over to the corner so he could tag in to continue punishing him.

The close saw all four guys in the ring, once Santino finally tagged in. Kozlov hit his big slam move on Ryder then went out of the ring with him. Santino did a diving fist punch on Hawkins, and then did the Cobra after he got up.

Stanford and Matthews ran down the card for Sunday's Over The Limit Pay-Per-View event.

Evan "Air" Bourne made his way out for the main event match.

Evan Bourne vs. Drew McIntyre

Early on in this return match for Bourne, he surprised Drew with a variety of takedowns and high risk moves. On the outside, McIntyre became enraged and slammed his hands on the announce table. Back in the ring, Bourne kept at it with the barrage of moves. McIntyre finally responded by clotheslining Bourne hard on the apron. Bourne fell to the outside as Superstars went to a break.

Late in the match, Drew was looking for a way to put Bourne away and win. He took him to the outside apron, got Bourne up on his shoulder and tried to run him into the ring post. Bourne slipped off and shoved Drew face first down into the steel steps.

Later, Bourne ran and hit double knees on Drew in the corner. Drew got ready for Air Bourne, but McIntyre rolled to the outside. Bourne jumped off onto him on the outside. Back in the ring Bourne tried to do a headscissors flip, but Drew blocked it and then powerbombed Bourne into the corner. From there, he hit the Future Shock DDT to win it.

Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov vs. Zack Ryder & Primo

Primo punched Santino off the apron to prevent Kozlov from tagging out. However, Kozlov managed to escape Ryder. Santino barely got to the apron in time for the tag in. He came in with momentum. All four guys got involved though. Primo got tossed out of the ring. Ryder rushed over to dump Kozlov out too. Ryder turned and saw Santino there so he went for the Rough Ryder. Santino did his drop down split, so Ryder hit the mat. As Ryder got up, Santino was ready with the Cobra and struck!

WWE Superstars returned with Smackdown's team of Striker and Korpela. Jack introduced the video interview of Shawn Michaels dissecting the Triple H vs The Undertaker match. Michaels talked about his mixed emotions, being happy to see his friend end the streak, but angry at himself for not being able to get the job done.

They showed footage from last Friday's press conference with Sin Cara in Mexico City. Sin Cara is the latest lucha libre wrestler to sign on with WWE.

Chris Masters vs. Curt Hawkins

Korpela said Masters is one of the hottest superstars in WWE right now. Korpela said Masters has now figured out how to beat Tyler Reks twice and he could get onto the Wrestlemania 27 card. Striker said it's already a stacked card.

Late in the match, Masters started to gain momentum as he jumped off the corner and hit a shoulder block to take down Hawkins for the near fall. Hawkins started to battle back to gain control though. Hawkins punched Masters several times to stun him, then rushed back against the ropes. As he came at Masters with the strike attack, Masters caught him by the arm, and then locked him into the Masterlock. Hawkins soon was out of commission with the ref calling for the bell.

Post-match, Tyler Reks rushed to the ring and attacked Masters, ultimately hitting the Burning Hammer to smash Masters face-first to the mat!

Winner: Chris Masters wins via submission over Curt Hawkins.

Superstars was back to show the final lines of John Cena's rap dis to The Rock on WWE Raw. Striker and Korpela discussed this intense war of words. They rolled the footage of The Rock responding to Cena this past Monday with his mock of Cena in baseball cap and chain. Rock appeared via satellite rather than live at the Buffalo arena. It ended with Rock doing some rap lines of his own, calling Cena a "Yabba Dabba bitch" and finishing with "You will smell what The Rock is cooking."

The show ended with the end of Rock's response to John Cena, rather than a main event match like the usual format is.

Superstars returned with one of the Usos keeping Yoshi down in a headlock. The Usos worked the doubleteam effectively and they kept Yoshi away from the tag.

Yoshi managed to get to his feet after another submission headlock hold. He rammed the Uso brother to the corner, but got shoved away. Yoshi came back with a spinning kick to take down the Uso. The Uso made a tag out just as Yoshi stretched over to tag Smith in.

Smith arrived in on fire and had momentum. After a leg drop he had the near fall. Smith went for a seated Powerbomb. The other Uso rushed in to break up the pinfall. Yoshi came in to make it a foursome in the ring. Yoshi got knocked down near the apron, so the ref was distracted checking on him. The Usos managed to make a switch during that. The one in the ring threw Smith shoulder first into the ringpost, then rolled him up for the winning pinfall.

Winners: The Usos win via pinfall over DH Smith and Yoshi Tatsu.

Zack tagged in Primo and tried to stand in front of Santino in the corner. Primo rushed at them with Santino shoving Ryder into Primo.

Vladimir finally made the hot tag and had momentum. He picked up Ryder for a move, but Primo came in to break it up. The heels doubleteam dropkicked Vlad back against the ropes where Santino tagged his back. With Primo and Santino legal, Santino got The Cobra ready and hit the finishing move on Primo for the win.

Post-match, Tamina joined Vladimir and Santino in the ring to celebrate. Santino did his trumpet horn celebration, then got Vladimir to do it as well.

Cena talked about how he now has so much time on his hands to hang out with the WWE Universe, tailgate with fans at the events and make Nexus' lives miserable.

Barrett eventually said it sounded like Cena was giving a threat and he ordered Nexus to come down and take care of him. They stood still though and refused to budge. Then, one-by-one, the Nexus guys each walked backstage, leaving Barrett one-on-one with Cena in the ring. Cena rushed Barrett and tackled him down to start pounding on him. On the outside of the ring he whipped Barrett into steel steps then started to set up steps next to the commentators table before ripping the cover off.
