Raw Preview 07.21.08

At the Great American Bash last night, CM Punk had perhaps the biggest match of his career as he defended his World Heavyweight title against the Animal Batista. The two Raw superstars put it all on the line, but it was the arrival of Kane to the match, which ultimately played the biggest part. After recent weeks of Kane seeming to lose it on Raw, he went after Punk on last week's show, only to be fought off by Batista. At the Bash, Kane came to the ring for payback as he beat up Batista outside the ring, eventually leading to a DQ and no title for Batista. Kane continues to carry a mysterious bag with him and asks the puzzling question "Is he dead?" Will WWE fans find out exactly what's in Kane's bag and who he's referring to? How will Batista react to Kane's attack at the Bash?

Over the past few weeks of Raw, Stephanie and Shane McMahon have urged the WWE wrestlers and staff to work together despite having no General Manager on Raw. Unfortunately, the pleas have gone unheard and chaos has ensued on the show. The McMahon's have stated that Vince McMahon's condition is being kept private, but that they will take measures to restore order to the Raw TV show. What measures will the McMahons take? Will we see an appearance from any McMahon on tonight's show?

The Great American Bash also saw what may be the culmination of the Shawn Michaels - Chris Jericho feud. Jericho, with help from protege Lance Cade, was able to bust Shawn Michaels open, causing him to bleed heavily. HBK vowed to continue fighting, but eventually the ref couldn't allow it. The match was stopped and awarded in favor of Y2J as Michaels couldn't continue. Does last night's match signify the end of Shawn Michael's wrestling career? What will Jericho and Cade's next plan of attack be for Raw?
