Smackdown Preview 09.19.08

Last week's Smackdown held a Fatal Fourway to determine a new #1 contender for Triple H's WWE title. MVP, Shelton Benjamin, The Brian Kendrick and Jeff Hardy all competed for the right. In the end it was jeff Hardy who performed an impressive Swanton Bomb off the turnbuckle onto two opponents to capture the pinfall victory. Jeff will now head on to the No Mercy Pay-Per-View to face the champ, Triple H. What will Triple H's reaction be to having Jeff as his new #1 contender? Will The Game begin preparations this coming week?

Jeff Hardy may have been victorious last week, but he found himself facing a huge problem after the win. It seems undefeated WWE superstar Vladimir Kozlov is in search of tougher competition. Kozlov informed all of Smackdown that he'd have to find the competition on his own. And Kozlov did so as he spoiled Jeff's celebration after the Fatal Fourway. Kozlov entered the ring and demolished Hardy, leaving him layed out as the program ended. Now will Jeff Hardy challenge the undefeated Russian powerhouse on tonight's show? Will the two cross paths again before No Mercy? How will this affect Jeff's chances at taking down the champion, The Game?

Two new superstars who have been impressive early on are R-Truth and the new beautiful diva, Brie Bella. Truth has been able to defeat Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely in consecutive weeks, despite an attack from the duo. Will Truth continue to challenge thse two superstars, or will he have his sights set on a new star? Brie Bella has been more of a surprise than impressive. She seems to find a way to win matches, but only after being tossed to the outside of the ring by other WWE Divas. Will the diva continue her winning ways or will someone be able to defeat her? Also, does the diva have a secret to reveal?

Also, don't forget about the Undertaker..Recently reinstated he now faces the new powerhouse couple of the WWE, Big Show and Vickie Guerrero. Show has promised that Undertaker will tell Vickie he's sorry, or Undertaker will be sorry. What will the Deadman's response be?

Find out the answers on tonight's Smackdown at 8PM EST on CW Network.
