Raw Preview 09.28.09

Tonight's Raw will be hosted by the controversial civil rights activist and American Baptist minister, the Reverend Al Sharpton. Back in 2004, Sharpton ran for the Democratic presidential nomination, which he ultimately lost. The outspoken celebrity is well known in the media and has been hosting his own daily talk radio program called "Keepin it Real with Al Sharpton". Sharpton's no stranger to television either as he's made cameo appearances on the hit shows Saturday Night Live, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (SVU) and Rescue Me. Tonight he enters a new realm as he attempts to run WWE Raw. How will Sharpton's transition be from the religious-political arena to the wrestling arena? What will he have in store for the stars of the WWE Raw roster?

One superstar already knows his fate to a degree for tonight's WWE Raw show. The current champion John Cena was on the losing side of a tag team match during last week's show. Due to the loss, Cena will be forced to compete in a 3-on-1 Gauntlet match on the show. His opponents will be the unified tag team champs, Big Show and Jericho, as well as Cena's Hell in a Cell opponent in less than a week, Randy Orton. The Viper and Cena are both looking to gain the advantage going into their big Pay-Per-View Hell in a Cell title match, but it's clear Orton has an edge thanks to this 3-on-1 match. Will Cena be able to battle through the adversity, or will Orton end his night with the RKO heading towards Hell in a Cell?

And finally, in the past few weeks, Kofi Kingston has continually been called out as an unworthy United States Champion. Both the Miz and Jack Swagger have argued that the US title belongs with a true American from the United States, rather than a Jamaican. Two weeks ago during a match, The Miz walked off with Kofi Kingston's United States title, claiming it should be his. Kofi soon retrieved it the following week on Raw, only to have it taken yet again. This time it was taken by Jack Swagger who beat up Miz as he was trying to take it. Kofi will be defending that very belt at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View, but will he be leaving as the United States Champ? What will Miz and Swagger have in store for Kingston on tonight's show?

Tune in to Monday Night Raw tonight at 9PM EST on USA!
