Team Raw vs Team Smackdown
The two seven man tag teams are now set for WWE's 2009 Bragging Rights PPV in what will be an epic clash between the two WWE brands. Sorry ECW, but this one's between the two behemoths of the pro-wrestling world. On Raw, Smackdown & WWE Superstars they held qualifying matches to determine who would be on each team. Here's a look at who's on the Raw side and Smackdown side, and how they got there.
2) Shawn Michaels (Team Captain)
3) Big Show (beat Chris Jericho by countout)+
4) Cody Rhodes (beat Dibiase & Cena by pin)+
5) Kofi Kingston (beat Evan Bourne by pin)+
6) Jack Swagger (beat MVP by pin)+
7) Mark Henry (beat Chris Masters by pin)*
+ Matches took place on WWE Raw 10/12/09
* Match took place on WWE Superstars
2) Kane (Team Captain)
3) Dolph Ziggler (beat Finlay & Mike Knox by pin)
4) JTG of Cryme Tyme (beat Hart Dynasty by pin)
5) Shad of Cryme Tyme (beat Hart Dynasty by pin)
6) Eric Escobar (beat Matt Hardy by pin)

The glaring fact you'll notice is that the more experienced and storied team is Team Raw. Triple H, Michaels and Show are all multiple time champions. Jack Swagger and Kofi Kingston are both stars in the making who have tasted gold several times as well. On Team Smackdown you have 3 rising talents in Escobar, McIntyre and Ziggler. Kane is always an equalizer, and Jericho is the experienced veteran leader. Cody Rhodes and Henry may be the weak links on Team Raw, but only due to experience sake. Henry has held the ECW championship, while Rhodes is a 3 time tag champ. So the story will be told in the ring on October 25th, 2009 when these two brands battle it out. Since Smackdown has four men competing over the World Title at the same PPV, that leaves the names Undertaker, Batista, Rey Mysterio & CM Punk out of it. Who will reign supreme? Smart money is on the bigger, more experienced Team Raw, although a win by Smackdown will prove that their new rising talents possibly pushed them over the top.
