Main Event Results 02/12/14


Main Event results from Ontario, CA:

The Wyatt Family defeated Sin Cara & Los Matadores via pinfall. Late in this one, Diego had a near fall on Rowan after a move off the corner, but Harper came in to break it up.  Harper got knocked to the outside, then Torito tried to jump out onto him.  Instead, Harper caught Torito, who managed to land on his feet. Fernando jumped out to take down Harper, with Bray coming over to toss Fernando into the crowd barricade.  Bray started stalking El Torito, but Sin Cara got in the way, with Rowan yanking Cara to the apron.  Cara kicked Rowan down, then Diego tagged in Cara.  Diego rushed across the ring to dive out on Harper.  Meanwhile, Cara dropkicked Rowan down inside the ring and ran over to punch on him in the ring corner. Bray Wyatt made a blind tag on Rowan's back.  Rowan charged at Cara near the ropes and fell to the outside.  Moments after Cara tried to put Bray away, Wyatt took him down with a running elbow, then hit Sister Abigail for the pinfall win.

Natalya defeated Aksana via submission.  Natalya had an early Sharpshooter attempt, but Aksana broke it at the ropes.  She fought back with some knees to Natalya and then put a hold on her to wear her down a bit.  Aksana had a near fall after a neckbreaker.  Moments later, Natalya hit a huge clothesline for a near fall of her own.  Aksana had a Spine buster later for a near fall as well. The finish happened as Aksana crawled over to Natalya on the mat and tried to kick her.  Natalya grabbed her leg and quickly put her into a Sharpshooter to make Aksana tap out.

Big E Langston defeated Drew McIntyre via pinfall in a non-title match.  Drew had a big boot late in this one for a near fall, then tried to pin again after only getting a 2 count.  Jinder Mahal was on the outside complaining to the ref as Drew set up for a suplex.  He couldn't get it with Big E slamming Drew on top of the ropes.  He followed with multiple clotheslines and a belly-to-belly suplex.  Drew stayed in control but started to taunt Big E and the crowd.  As he ran towards Langston, Big E picked him up and twirled Drew around to hit the Big Ending for the win.  Post-match, Jinder Mahal got on the mic to demand a match right away.

Big E Langston defeated Jinder Mahal via pinfall in a non-title match.  Mahal rushed into the ring after demanding the ref ring the bell.  He got in a bit of offense out of the corner, until Big E clotheslined him down.  Langston quickly followed with the Big Ending to get his second-straight victory of the main event.

Main Event Results 04/17/13


Main Event results from Knoxville, TN:

Main Event opened up with an over-the-top battle royal with the winner getting to take on Wade Barrett for the Intercontinental Title.  Barrett's music hit to interrupt Cole and JBL as they were talking about the match.  As Barrett was insulting the competitors in the ring, Great Khali's music hit and he eventually came out to have a staredown with Barrett on stage.

Justin Gabriel won an over-the-top-rope battle royal to become #1 contender for the Intercontinental Title.  Great Khali, Alex Riley, Drew McIntyre, Santino Marella, Justin Gabriel, The Uso's, Primo, Epico, Yoshi Tatsu and Jinder Mahal were among the competitors in the match.  Yoshi was among the first superstars eliminated.  Khali eliminated Epico, then Jinder Mahal before raising his arms for a big yell.  At one point, all of the competitors tried to work together to push Khali over the top, but Khali fell to the apron and got back in.  Moments later, six men worked together to eliminate Khali with Barrett shown enjoying the moment backstage.

It came down to Justin Gabriel, Santino, Primo and Drew McIntyre.  Santino went wild and pulled out the Cobra to punch Primo out through the middle ropes so he wasn't eliminated.  Drew rushed over and tossed Santino out then beat up on Gabriel.  Drew threw him over the top but Gabriel held onto the top rope to skin the cat.  Drew rushed over and Gabriel head scissored him out of the ring.  Gabriel flipped back into the ring with Primo rushing at him, so Gabriel ducked and tossed Primo out to the floor to win it.

Matt Striker interviewed Gabriel in the ring.  Gabriel talked about how he used to be good friends with Barrett back in the day, then brought up Kofi Kingston winning the US title on Raw.  Gabriel vowed to win the IC title tonight too.

Cole talked about how there's a mess in the World Championship picture, then had highlight video shown from Raw involving Ziggler, Del Rio and Swagger.  Cole brought up that there will be a World Heavyweight Title triple threat match at Extreme Rules between Ziggler, Swagger and Del Rio.

After commercial break, they rolled part of CM Punk's in-ring speech from Raw talking about wanting that "next challenge."  He talked about taking on "The Streak" at WrestleMania, saying he pushed Undertaker to the limit.  Punk stopped talking then handed the mic to Paul Heyman before leaving.

Michael Cole read a statement from Paul Heyman suggesting fans shouldn't create rumors over Punk, and should maybe focus more on Triple H who has yet to respond to the challenge made for a match against Brock at Extreme Rules.  They showed Lesnar taking out 3MB in the ring on Raw.

Matt Striker talked to Wade Barrett backstage about his luck changing lately.   Barrett insulted Striker as a mediocre wrestler and interviewer.  Barrett said the "Barrett Barage" is going to take a turn for the better tonight, and it starts with Justin Gabriel.

Wade Barrett defeated Justin Gabriel via pinfall to retain the Intercontinental Title.  Barrett was in control as he clotheslined down Gabriel outside the ring right before a commercial break.  After break, they were back in the ring with Gabriel trying to start a comeback only to get kicked hard in the gut by Barrett.  Later in the match, Gabriel finally started to comeback, kicking Barrett in the head to leave him flat on his back.  Gabriel followed with a reverse springboard flip onto Barrett for a near fall.  Later, Barrett avoided Gabriel in the corner, but Gabriel jumped on the corner then delivered a mule kick to Barrett.  He prepared for the 450 Splash, but Barrett escaped the ring.  Gabriel went over to the apron with Barrett fighting him there before raking Gabriel in the eyes.  As Gabriel stumbled around, Barrett wound up for the Bullhammer Elbow and hit it to level Gabriel for the pin.

The show finished up with a look back at Ryback's pre-taped speech about why he attacked Cena on Raw last week.  They showed footage of Cena confronting Ryback in the ring, and Ryback leaving when Cena tried to get a fight.  The Shield came out from the crowd and went into the ring to beat up Cena, with Ryback just standing at the bottom of the ramp watching.  Shield Triple-powerbombed Cena down with Ryback heading up the stage to the back.

Main Event Results 03/13/13


WWE Main Event results from Ft. Wayne, IN:

Big Show defeated Alberto Del Rio via countout in a non-title matchup.  Jack Swagger was watching the match, when Show sent Del Rio to the outside.  Swagger attacked Del Rio with the ref not seeing it, causing ADR to get counted out.

The Usos defeated Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre of 3MB.  McIntyre got pinned in the loss.

Wade Barrett defeated Justin Gabriel in a non-title match.  Gabriel went to the top rope at one point, but Barrett connected on a Bullhammer elbow to get the pinfall win.  Post-match, The Miz and Wade Barrett had a staredown.

Main Event Results 12/26/12


Main Event results from Rochester, NY:

The latest episode opened with Michael Cole welcoming viewers to the show.  A 20-man battle royal starts off the show, with Antonio Cesaro joining Cole and Miz on commentary during the match.  Miz and Cesaro traded jabs at each other during the commentary.

The Great Khali won a 20-man Battle Royal to become #1 contender for the United States championship.  It came down to a final four of Santino Marella, Zack Ryder, Wade Barrett and Great Khali.  Ryder managed to hit his Broski boot on Barrett, but then Santino eliminated Ryder.  They stared at each other, allowing Barrett to eliminate Santino.  It was down to Khali vs. Barrett.  Barrett tried to eliminate Khali after some chops on him, but he was too heavy.  Khali tries to dump Wade out, but he stays on the apron.  Great Khali then hits a huge chop on Barrett to eliminate him off the apron.

Post-match, Cesaro got in the ring and offered a handshake to Khali.  Khali looked nervous about it but then they shook.  Cesaro left the ring and Khali kept dancing to celebrate his win.

After commercial, Matt Striker interviewed Khali backstage but Cesaro attacked him from behind.  Cesaro starts giving a speech thinking Khali is down.  Khali got back up and shoved Cesaro down, causing him to run off.  Khali picked up the US title belt and yelled "Happy New Year!"

They showed the Raw Rebound with Santa getting run over by Del Rio's BMW.  In the end, Santa was revealed to be Mick Foley who helped Cena win the main event match against Del Rio and Ricardo.

Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel defeated Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre via pinfall.  The late part of this match saw Gabriel get a hot tag into the match and hit Drew with the Tornado DDT.  After a close pinfall attempt, Gabriel missed a moonsault.  McIntyre hit a huge boot to nearly get the win.  Moments later, Drew with a cheapshot to Kidd on the apron before tagging in Mahal.  Mahal hit a knee on  Gabriel, but was counered on his Full Nelson slam when Justin hit a Powerbomb.  Gabriel managed to toss Drew to the outside, and Tyson hit him with knees from the apron.  Kidd gets the tag and pins Jinder after he and Gabriel hit a doubleteam move on Jinder Mahal.

Next week's main event will feature The Great Khali vs. Antonio Cesaro for the United States Championship.

Here are the latest results for the Thursday 9/20/12 episode of WWE Superstars.  WWE is advertising that the latest episode will be shown on Hulu, but as of this report, the online video was not available.

Drew McIntyre defeated Jinder Mahal.  In this match, it was rumored WWE was attempting to test McIntyre out as a face.

David Otunga defeated Tyson Kidd

The Prime Time Players defeated The Uso's.

WWE Superstars Results 08/23/12



Damien Sandow defeated Yoshi Tatsu by pinfall.  Prior to the match, Sandow got on the mic to "beg the audience's indulgence for a moment."  Sandow said everyone suffers from ignorance, but it's his duty to save us, as our savior and martyr.  In the match, Sandow started off with a vicious attack on Yoshi.  Yoshi made a comeback, and had a near fall.  He hit chops and knees on Sandow, then hit a reverse kick on him.  However, Yoshi missed on a move from the top rope.  Sandow followed up with a legsweep and his neckbreaker finisher for the win.

Alex Riley defeated Drew McIntyre via pinfall.  Drew had on special gear for his wrist injury.  He got in some early offense before Riley hit a dropkick on him.  Drew had to get out of the ring to regroup a bit.  Riley went after him, leaping off the steps, but Drew countered it and put Riley back into the ring.  He continued to kick and choke Riley in the corner, before going for a backslide pin for just a 2 count.  He continued to unload on Riley in the corner, but A-Ry came out of nowhere with a rollup pinfall for the win.

They showed the latest edition of the Raw Rebound.

Cody Rhodes defeated Justin Gabriel via pinfall. Early in the match, Cody slapped Gabriel and Gabriel started chopping away at him.  Cody got sent over the top rope, and then Gabriel splashed onto him before a commercial break.  After break, Justin still had control.  He gets pushed off the top ropes though and Cody works on his hurt arm.  After a faceplant, Cody gets a 1 count.  Later on, Fabriel got control of things after an ardrag, but he missed on a springboard moonsault.  Cody put on a submission hold which Gabriel fights out of.  Justin with the momentum as he used kicks and a clothesline for a near fall.  He followed with a sitdown spinebuster for another near fall.  The finale saw them trade offense, with Cody able to counter a movie by Gabriel and hit Cross Rhodes for the win.

WWE Superstars 08/16/12 Results


WWE Superstars Results 08/16/12:

Scott Stanford appeared on the voiceover after the Superstars intro video was shown.  He hyped up Justin Gabriel vs. Damien Sandow in the main event.  The Uso's made their entrance performing their on-stage dance and chant for the first match of Superstars.  Michael McGillicutty and Johnny Curtis came out as the opponents.  Johnny Curtis was sporting a new hair style.  Both guys wore leather jackets as if they were a new team, and Stanford pointed out Curtis had "#letsgetweird" on his trunks.

The Uso's won by pinfall over Michael McGillicutty & Johnny Curtis.  Late in this one, Jey rushed in save his partner who was getting beat up.  He managed to knock Curtis out of the ring but then got sent back to the apron by the ref.  Jimmy continued to sustain the doubleteam attacks for a bit, but then fought back against Curtis and punched down McGill.  Jimmy started the slow crawl across the ring and finally made a hot tag to Jey.  McGill also tagged in but was the recipient of Jimmy's fastpaced attack.  He revved up the crowd with the "Us - O!" chant, then did the hip splash in the corner, before hitting a Samoan backwards slam.  The match finished with a big Samoan Splash on McGillicutty for the pin.

Alex Riley defeated Drew McIntyre by pinfall.  Late in this match, A-Ry had the momentum after hitting a big spinebuster.  He hit a boot to the face and then did the A-Bomb off the top rope onto Drew for a near fall.  McIntyre regained control after hitting a bodyslam, but he missed on a leg drop from the top rope.  Riley capitalized on the mistake and hit his Final Score for the win.

Damien Sandow defeated Justin Gabriel by pinfall.  Sandow repeatedly kicked Gabriel in the corner and used his boots on him, but the ref called him off.  Sandow hit his big elbow on Justin for a near fall.  Gabriel avoids a big punch from Sandow and sarted to kick away on Sandow, taking him down.  Gabriel hit a springboard crossbody for a 2 count, then a springboard moonsault for another 2.  Gabriel went to the top, but Sandow throws him off balance.  From there, Sandow knees Gabriel in the gut and then hits a neckbreaker for the win.  To celebrate, Sandow does his cartwheel in the ring.

WWE Superstars Results 07/19/12



Here are the latest results for the 7/19/12 episode of WWE Superstars shown exclusively on WWE.com this Thursday.  After the video package, the show immediately opened with US champion Santino Marella making his entrance as the fans cheered him on.  Scott Stanford and Josh Matthews appeared on camera to start off the show, talking up the upcoming 1,000th episode of Raw.

Santino Marella defeated Jinder Mahal via pinfall.  Mahal had control of things late, but Santino made a comeback and hit his move set including the hip toss and flying headbutt.  From there, he reached down his wrestling gear and pulled out the Cobra sock.  Mahal got up and Santino struck him with The Cobra for the win.

Cody Rhodes defeated Alex Riley by pinfall.  Riley started a late comeback including a big hip toss move for a near fall on Rhodes.  Rhodes got up near the corner and delivered a boot to the face on Riley.  However, as he charged at A-Ry, Riley hit a huge Spinebuster for another near fall.  Riley went for a high risk move, but Rhodes caught him mid-air with a dropkick.  Riley tried a quick schoolboy pin but Rhodes fought out.  Moments later, Riley got Rhodes up on his shoulder for his finisher, but Rhodes slipped off and hit Cross Rhodes for the win.

Raw Rebound covered John Cena's journey to the Money in the Bank ladder match, which he won after smashing the briefcase against Big Show's head.  Cena announced on Raw that he will cash in the MITB case for the 1,000th episode of Raw, rather than cashing it in when Punk was beaten up in the ring by Show already.

The Usos defeated Johnny Curtis and Derrick Bateman via pinfall.  Jimmy and Jey came out to do their traditional Smoan chant and dance as part of their entrance.  Before the match started, they showed a replay of The Usos joining their father Rikishi in the ring for Raw to dance after Rikishi beat Heath Slater.  Late in this match, they hit the Samoan Drop on Curtis, followed by the Samoan Splash from off the corner to get the pinfall win.  Striker said The Usos are clicking as a team and running on all cylinders, so the tag champs should take notice.

They did a replay of the in-ring segment on Raw where Daniel Bryan got down on one knee and proposed to AJ, then put a ring on her finger.  AJ said Yes, bringing a wedding between them as part of the 1,000th episode of Raw.

Sin Cara defeated Drew McIntyre by pinfall.  In this one Sin Cara had control late and went for a move off the corner.  Drew caught him from the air and slammed him against his knee for a near fall.  Moments later, Drew and Sin Cara fought on the corner.  Drew shoved Sin Cara off but he flipped to his feet on the mat.  Drew jumped off the corner with Sin Cara running under him to dodge him.  Sin Cara managed to jump at Drew and landed a twisting and turning DDT finisher for the win.  Sin Cara posed in the ring as fans cheered while Josh Matthews signed off hyping the 1,000th episode of Raw for Monday.

WWE Superstars Results 06/21/12


WWE Superstars Results 06/21/12:

Here are the latest results for WWE Superstars episode shown on WWE.com on June 21, 2012.  Among the superstars in action were Justin Gabriel, Zack Ryder, Drew McIntyre, and Ezekiel Jackson.

Hunico defeated Ezekiel Jackson by pinfall.  Camacho was ringside during the match and helped play a part.  Late in the match, Jackson hit a belly-to-belly suplex and began to use his power to control the match.  However, Hunico managed to take out Jackson's knee, and then went to the top rope.  He missed on the high risk move, but Camacho was able to hit Jackson from the outside.  That allowed Hunico go up top and hit the Senton Splash for the win.

Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd defeated Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks by pinfall.  Late in this one, Hawkins and Reks continued to work on Kidd, keeping him away from his partner.  However, Kidd managed to escape and made the hot tag.  Gabriel came in on fire, and was able to DDT Hawkins from the top rope for a near fall.  Moments later, Gabriel tagged in Kidd and held Hawkins so Kidd could hit a neckbreaker from up top for the win.

Zack Ryder defeated Drew McIntyre by pinfall.  The match saw Drew continuously stomping on Ryder's head, then dropping him face-first to the mat.  Ryder made a comeback though by getting his feet up when McIntyre goes off the corner at him.  After gaining momentum, Ryder hit the Broski Boot for a 2 count.  Drew responded moments later with a big boot to take down Ryder for his own 2 count.  Moments later, Drew missed on a superplex attempt from the top rope.  Ryder follows up soon after with a Rough Ryder for the win.

WWE Superstars 05/31/12


WWE Superstars Results 05/31/12:

The latest episode of Superstars opened up with Beth Phoenix's theme music starting up as Scott Stanford announced the No Way Out PPV is about two weeks away.  Stanford was shown on camera with Josh Matthews as Beth posed in the ring.

Beth Phoenix defeated Alicia Fox by pinfall.  Alicia had a late advantage but missed on a splash move.  Phoenix kicked her in the gut, then signaled for the Glam Slam and connected with it to get the win.

Lord Tensai defeated Alex Riley by pinfall.  Late in the match, Tensai charged at Riley in the corner but got hit by a big boot.  Riley went for a late high risk move, but as he jumped, Tensai grabbed him and hit a big Spinebuster/Powerbomb.  Tensai followed with a senton splash to get the win. Post-match, Sakimoto got into the ring, and Tensai told him to get on his knees before him, then pulled him up by his hair.

Jinder Mahal defeated Yoshi Tatsu by submission.  Yoshi mounted a late comeback, including a flying move off the corner and a flurry of kicks and chops.  He missed on his spinning buzzsaw kick after hitting the ropes.  Jinder followed with a big knee to the back of Yoshi's head, and then put Yoshi into the camel clutch to make him quickly tap out.

Raw Rebound was all about Big Show discussing his heel turn and his new ironclad contract.  He made an example by beating up Brodus Clay, Kofi Kingston, and R-Truth instead of competing in the main event.  Big Show takes on John Cena at the No Way Out PPV on June 17th.

Christian defeated Drew McIntyre by pinfall.  McIntyre had a late near fall, but as he went to grab Christian near the ropes, Christian held onto the bottom rope.  Then, Christian countered a Future Shock DDT attempt, and then threw McIntyre shoulder-first into the ringpost.  From there, Christian pointed up to the corner, climbed it, and hit his Frogsplash finisher for the win.

WWE NXT Results 05/23/12


WWE NXT Results from Wilkes-Barre, PA:

Jinder Mahal defeated Derrick Bateman by submission.  Late in the match, Bateman had control after hitting a dropkick for a near fall.  However, moments later Mahal managed to get him into the Camel Clutch to make Bateman tap out.

Percy Watson defeated Heath Slater by pinfall.  Late in this match, Watson missed on a big splash in the corner.  However, he was able to land a huge flapjack slam finisher to get the win.

Maxine defeated Alicia Fox by submission.  She put a Dragon Sleeper on Alicia late in the match to get her to pass out.

The Great Khali and Ezekiel Jackson defeated Drew McIntyre and Johnny Curtis by pinfall in a tag team match.  Curtis and Drew used a lot of tag team work in this to keep Ezekiel away from a tag to Khali.  However, late in the matc, Zeke made the hot tag to Khali.  He came in and cleared house before eventually hitting his Punjabi Plunge powerbomb finisher for the win.

WWE Superstars Results 05/10/12



Here are the latest results for WWE Superstars 05/10/12 episode, taped in Greensboro, North Carolina, and Roanoke, Virginia this past week.

Drew McIntyre defeated Ezekiel Jackson by pinfall.  Both guys traded offense in this match, which only lasted under 4 minutes total.  Late in the match, McIntyre was able to hit his Future Shock DDT for the victory.

Natalya defeated Alicia Fox by submission.  Natalya controlled things for most of this match.  Alicia Fox mounted a comeback towards the end, hitting a northern light's suplex.  She had the near fall, but Natalya escaped.  Not long after that, Natalya locked the Sharpshooter on to make Alicia tap out.

Hunico defeated Tyson Kidd by pinfall.  Camacho was with Hunico at ringside for the match.  At one point, Kidd managed to go for his submission to finish Hunico, but Hunico kicked him off.  Kidd tossed Hunico to the outside, then dove out to take out Camacho as well.  However, on the floor, Hunico made a comeback after hitting a neckbreaker.  Back in the ring, Hunico went for his senton move, but Kidd put up his knees.  Kindd went for his springboard move, but Hunico managed to reverse things mid-air and hit a swinging Samoan drop to finish Kidd off.

Santino Marella & Zack Ryder defeated Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks by pinfall.  At one point in this one, Ryder was ready to get the win with the Rough Ryder on Reks.  However, Hawkins gave a distraction, allowing Reks to recover.  The heels began to try to wear down Ryder.  However, Ryder eventually escaped to make the hot tag.  Santino came in and did his various comedic moves on both heels.  The finish saw him hit The Cobra on Tyler Reks to score the pinfall win.

Smackdown Results 03/30/12


Smackdown Results from Atlanta, GA:

The show started off with a video package to spotlight John Cena vs. The Rock.  Various wrestlers talked about how big the match will be for both guys and WWE.

Zack Ryder defeated Drew McIntyre by pinfall.  Late in the match, Ryder hit the Broski Boot but McIntyre kicked out.  He was able to go for the Future Shock DDT, but Ryder escaped it, then connected on the Rough Ryder for the win.

They showed another video package promoting Lord Tensai's arrival to WWE.

They showed highlights of Wrestlemania Axxess attractions with Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler.

They showed the Hell in a Cell promo package about Triple H Vs. The Undertaker.

They showed video footage of the EXTRA clip involving Maria Menounous getting into a divas tag match at Wrestlemania 28.

They showed a video package about CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho's big match.

Big Show came to the ring and did a promo about his IC title match against Cody Rhodes.  He said he's never had a Wrestlemania moment and will have one this Sunday when he becomes the new IC champion.

They showed the video package promoting Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan for the World Championship.

Chris Jericho defeated Kofi Kingston by submission.  Late in the match, Kingston went for Trouble in Paradise, but Jericho dodged the move.  He went for Walls of Jericho with Kofi kicking him away.  Kingston went for Trouble in Paradise again later in the match, with Jericho able to reverse it and turn it into Walls of Jericho.  He secured the hold and eventually forced Kofi to tap out.

WWE Superstars Results 03/22/12


WWE Superstars Results for 03/22/12:

Primo and Epico defeated Alex Riley and Mason Ryan by pinfall in a non-title matchip.  Alex Riley had control against Epico and Primo late in the match.  Rosa Mendes got on the apron to distract Riley, allowing Primo and Epico to hit a doubleteam Backstabber move.  Primo scored the pinfall for the win.

Eve Torres and Beth Phoenix defeated Taminia Snuka and Natalya by pinfall.  Late in the match, Natalya knocked down Eve and tagged in Tamina.  Tamina was ready for the Superfly Splash, but Beth Phoenix distracted her.  Eve knocked Tamina off the corner and followed with her moonsault for the win.

Titus O'Neil defeated Yoshi Tatsu by pinfall.  Late in the match Yoshi went for his Buzzsaw kick.  Titus caught him though and hit Clash of the Titus for the win.

Drew McIntyre defeated Ezekiel Jackson by pinfall.  Jackson was ready to do the Torture Rack late to finish off Drew, but Drew escaped and then dropkicked Zeke in the knee.  He followed with the Future Shock DDT to win it.

Smackdown Results 01/20/12



Daniel Bryan comes out to start off the show.  He does a promo bit talking about how what Show did to AJ last week was a sin.  Bryan says Show only pretended to be sorry.  He said AJ was there because she loves him, and suggested Show do the right thing and quit.  The crowd was all over Bryan for this.

Cody Rhodes tried to take on Hornswoggle in a match.  Instead, Justin Gabriel came down to stick up for Horney and replaced him in the match.  Rhodes ultimately won the match by pinfall after hitting Cross Rhodes.

Since it's Sin City Smackdown, Mark Henry gets to spin the wheel for his title match against Daniel Bryan.  It comes up as a Lumberjack match.

The WWE Tag Team Champions Primo and Epico defeated The Uso Brothers.

Brodus Clay came out and had a dance off against Vickie Guerrero.  The crowd backed Clay as the winner.  Vickie started to dance again, but William Regal came out to stop her, begging the people not to laugh at her.  As Regal's escorting Vickie away, Clay insults Regal, then challenges him to a dance off.  Brodus hit a  splash on Regal in the ring, then started dancing some more.

Sheamus and Wade Barrett had a tables match.  Jinder Mahal was there and distracted Sheamus, allowing Barrett to smash him through the table.  Mahal attacked Sheamus, but Sheamus ended up smashing Mahal through a table.

Ted Dibiase defeated Hunico in a flag match, where Dibiase was the first one to retrieve his flag, the USA flag.

Backstage, Teddy Long fired Drew McIntyre.  Santino Marella begged for Drew's job back, then challenged him to a match.  They have a blindfold match, Santino ends up winning by using The Cobra, meaning Drew is fired.

Mark Henry and Daniel Bryan fought to a no contest in the World Heavyweight Title Lumberjack match.  Both guys were attacked by the lumberjacks, with Daniel Bryan and Henry eventually leaving the scene.  The Lumberjacks fight Rumble style, with Sheamus tossing guys out.  Eventually everyone's eliminated with Sheamus standing tall in the ring.

WWE Superstars Results 12/15/11


WWE Superstars Results 12/15/11:

Josh Matthews kicked things off on commentary, announcing a main event of Air Boom versus Epico and Primo. Drew McIntyre's entrance video and song started up to eventually bring out "The Chosen One" for the first match. Matthews and Striker appeared on camera to discuss the upcoming TLC PPV.

Justin Gabriel vs. Drew McIntyre

As Drew was dominating early in the match, Josh Matthews brought up how Justin Gabriel recently took up rock climbing, and also how he's been called the "Cape Town Werewolf" as a Twilight reference for his good looks.

Justin made a comeback in the match with a springboard moonsault among his moves. Gabriel was on the outside, but went for a springboard clothesline at one point, but Drew clotheslined him down from the air. From there, Drew hit the Future Shock DDT to grab the victory by pinfall.

Winner: Drew McIntyre wins via pinfall over Justin Gabriel.


Trent Barreta vs. Hunico

Hunico arrived out riding on the back pegs of a low rider bike. The bike was driven by an unidentified man, who Striker and Matthews didn't know about. Barreta looked confused over it all too.

Late in the match, Barreta got a legdrop move onto Hunico through the ropes. He followed up with a huge moonsault from off the corner, to get a near fall. Striker noted that Barreta was favoring his right knee. He hit a running knee move on Hunico for another near fall. Hunico countered Barreta moments later and slammed him backwards. Hunico finished with a diving flip to splash onto Trent Barreta for the win. His posse member came in the ring to give him props for the win.

Post-match, Hunico got on the mic and spoke in Spanish a bit, then switched to English, then back to Spanish, saying he wouldn't waste his breath on all the people there.

Winner: Hunico wins via pinfall over Trent Barreta.


Alex Riley vs. Jack Swagger

Scott Stanford was now on commentary with Josh Matthews for this matchup. During the match, Stanford said when he asked Swagger earlier who he'd team up with to go for the tag titles, it wasn't Ziggler he named, but Drew McIntyre.

Riley made a comeback late in the match and blasted Swagger down with a few clotheslines. Swagger fought back, but then Riley hit a Spinebuster on him. Riley went for a finisher, but Swagger countered for a belly-to-belly suplex. Swagger went for his Vader Bomb from the corner, but Riley got both legs up. Later, Riley went for a finisher, with Swagger sliding off. Riley sat on him for a pin, but Swagger turned into a near Ankle Lock. Riley flipped out of that and slammed Swagger with a DDT for a very near fall.

The close saw Swagger run from off the ropes and clip Riley's leg and then put the Ankle Lock on. Riley was forced to tap out.

Winner: Jack Swagger wins via submission over Alex Riley.




They showed highlights of Monday's Raw with the 2011 Slammy Awards. Awards went out to CM Punk, Undertaker for kicking out of HHH's Tombstone, and The Rock for challenging John Cena for a Wrestlemania 28 match. The main event featured Mark Henry vs. Cena, but the big news was that Kane returned to interrupt, revealing his new mask after he chokeslammed Cena to the mat.

Stanford and Matthews talked about the various TLC PPV matches. After that, Air Boom made their big entrance to the ring for the main event match.

Air Boom vs. Epico & Primo

Rosa Mendes joined her tag team at ringside for the match. Stanford joked with Matthews that he heard he was learning to do the Lambada because of Rosa.

Midway through the match, Primo tossed Kofi out through the ropes and began to taunt the Boom Clap. That resulted in Kofi clearing Primo and Epico out of the ring, then Bourne launching out over the ropes onto them. Rosa screamed in Spanish as Superstars went to break.

Superstars returned with Bourne doing a flip move from Primo's back onto him. Primo took over moments later and then distracted the ref so Epico could kick Bourne through the ropes. The heels kept working on Bourne after break. Bourne was able to escape from Primo with his double knees to the chest move and tagged in Kofi who came in on fire.

Kofi hit the double leg boom drop on Epico. Kofi started the clap to signal Trouble in Paradise. Kofi went to the corner after missing the kick, and hit a pendulum kick when Epico rushed at him. The action broke down with Primo throwing Bourne over the ropes. Epico ran against the ropes and Primo made a blind tag. Kofi delivered a Trouble in Paradise kick on Epico, but then got hit by a Backstabber from Primo.

Winners: Primo and Epico win via pinfall over Air Boom.

WWE Superstars Results 12/8/11


WWE Superstars Results 12/8/11:

Matt Striker and Josh Matthews were on hand for commentary for the opening match from the Smackdown roster. Justin Gabriel arrived to the ring as Striker and Matthews brought up the 2011 TLC Pay-Per-View.

Justin Gabriel vs. Tyson Kidd

Late in the match, Kidd knocked Gabriel off the apron then went out and tossed him back in the ring. Kidd connected on a springboard elbow drop for a near fall, with Gabriel kicking out. Kidd sold shock at not getting the win there, then tried for a running corner move, only to get booted by Gabriel. Kidd delivered a dropkick to Justin's knees when Gabriel got on the corner.

Kidd tried for a sunset flip hurricanrana pinfall, with Gabriel rolling through for his own attempt. Kidd kicked out, but moments later, Gabriel hit a spinebuster on him, before climbing the corner to hit his 450 Splash.

Winner: Justin Gabriel won via pinfall over Tyson Kidd.




Matthews and Striker reminded fans that Triple H will return at TLC 2011 for a Sledgehammer Ladder match against Kevin Nash. Jack Swagger arrived out from backstage with his manager Vickie Guerrero.

Trent Barreta vs. Jack Swagger

Matthews and Striker talked up Swagger's accomplishments in WWE, right before Trent Barreta came out for the match.

Late into this one, Trent managed to kick Swagger in the chest through the ropes before coming in to hit the enziguiri kick. Trent delivered a huge running move to drop Swagger for a 2-count. From there, Barreta got up on the corner and jumped but Swagger ducked him. Swagger managed to hit the Swagger Bomb before locking the Ankle Lock on Trent. Trent soon tapped out with Swagger not immediately letting go until the ref warned him.

Winner: Jack Swagger wins by submission over Trent Barreta.


Mason Ryan vs. Drew McIntyre

Scott Stanford was now on commentary with Josh Matthews for the latest portion of the show. Drew McIntyre hopped up and took a seat on the commentary table as Mason Ryan arrived to the ring and posed from the corner. Drew slapped his hands on the table before getting into the ring for the match.

Early on, Drew went for a quick headlock with Ryan able to escape and drop him down to the mat. Drew tried to twist Ryan's arm only to get clotheslined down hard. Later, Drew got the upperhand and had a 2-count after big dropkick to knock Ryan down. Drew stomped on him then held his arm back in a rest hold.

Later, Drew went for the high risk move from the top of the corner. Ryan got to his feet and caught Drew in a Full Nelson as he jumped. Ryan locked the hold on a bit before slamming down McIntyre for a winning pinfall.

Winner: Mason Ryan wins via pinfall over Drew McIntyre.




When Superstars returned, Stanford and Matthews talked about the upcoming Slammy Awards. Stanford introduced footage from Raw with the WWE championship Triple Threat TLC match contract signing. After it was signed, it ended in a brawl with Punk getting the upperhand on his future TLC opponents after bulldogging Del Rio through a table and then hitting GTS on Miz. John Laurinaitis was seen watching it all from up on stage.

Evan Bourne arrived out from backstage for the main event match.

Evan Bourne vs. Epico

Hunico and Rosa Mendes joined Epico at ringside area. Late in the match, Epico had control has he hit Primo hard in the back before hitting three straight suplexes for a near fall. Bourne barely escaped and tried to get to the ropes, but Epico kept up the attack.

Epico stretched Bourne over his knee to further wear him down. Rosa and Primo cheered on Epico as he continued to dominate in the late stages. Epico worked on Bourne's hurt back. He went for a submission with Bourne on his back being stretched out. Rosa screamed for Bourne to give up, but Bourne fought free and tossed Epico across the ring.

Epico missed on a running move at Bourne in the corner, allowing Bourne to get the momentum. After multiple takedowns, Bourne had the pinfall with Epico kicking out. Bourne managed to deliver an impressive Hurricanrana from the top ropes, but somehow Epico kicked out of the pinfall. Bourne pulled him towards the corner then went for Air Bourne. Primo came over the side of the ring and caused a distraction. Epico was able to get up and avoid Bourne's attack, then hit a Backstabber for the win.

Winner: Epico wins via pinfall over Evan Bourne.

WWE Superstars Results 11/24/11:

Scott Stanford and Josh Matthews were on commentary to start things off. Drew McIntyre's video started up and he ultimately arrived out from backstage. The WWE's proclaimed "chosen one" got to the bottom of the ramp and then pounded on the apron area of the mat before yelling out in anger. Ted Dibiase came out next to the fans' cheers.

Ted Dibiase vs. Drew McIntyre

Late in the match, Drew had several big moves for near falls. He showed frustration as he got up and looked at the crowd before beating on Ted in the corner with forearms. Drew missed on a clothesline with Dibiase ducking it and then hitting Dream Street for the big victory.

Winner: Ted Dibiase wins via pinfall over Drew McIntyre.


Alex Riley vs. Michael McGillicutty

An ad showed that Riley's theme song "Say it to My Face" is currently available on iTunes as A-Ry hit the ring. McGillicutty was out next to a lot of boos.

Stanford talked about how great Survivor Series was midway through the match as A-Ry started his comeback. Stanford said A-Ry's been 4-0 on Superstars lately. Riley hit a huge Spinebuster and then a faceplant DDT for a near fall but McGill kicked out.

Late in the match, Riley got onto the apron and grabbed McGillicutty. A-Ry went for a Sunset Flip over the top rope. He landed on his back with McGillicutty just sitting on him and securing A-Ry's legs for the pinfall.

Winner: Michael McGillicutty wins via pinfall over Alex Riley.

During the match, Baretta fought Jinder Mahal off him from the top of the corner. From there, Trent did a moonsault flip onto Jinder and almost got the win by pinfall. Kidd arrived to the ring first, followed by Jackson. Kidd mocked Jackson's muscle pose causing Zeke to chase him out of the ring. Superstars hit a final commercial segment before the match was joined in progress.

Kidd worked a headlock early before Jackson hit him down from off the ropes. Kidd managed to get a boot into Jackson's face, then went for a springboard move. Jackson pressed him overhead several times but Kidd slipped off and kicked Zeke in the back of the knee. Moments later, Jackson flipped Kidd up overhead and down to the mat.

Kidd managed to ground Zeke again by targeting the hurt knee. Late in the match, Jackson had several big take downs include a huge clothesline on Kidd in the corner, followed by a second. Zeke started to pound away on Kidd in the corner with the ref threatening to DQ him. Zeke picked up Kidd and slammed him backwards before putting Kidd up on his shoulders for the Torture Rack. Kidd quickly tapped out.

Winner: Ezekiel Jackson wins by submission over Tyson Kidd.

WWE Superstars Results 11/17/11


WWE Superstars Results 11/17/11:

Scott Stanford opened on commentary saying there'd be a look back at this past Monday's Raw in Boston with The Rock. Drew McIntyre's entrance video and song started up, with Drew eventually emerging from backstage as the beat kicked in. Stanford was joined by Josh Matthews on commentary and they spoke about the upcoming Survivor Series PPV.

Alex Riley vs. Drew McIntyre

Stanford talked about Riley having a torn hip flexor, but refusing to get surgery so he can work through it and keep wrestling. Matthews said both guys have tremendous upside. Stanford called Riley the total package with size and speed.

Riley took control early with a hip toss and then settled into a brief headlock on the mat on Drew. Drew got them to their feet and backed A-Ry to the corner before kneeing him to gain control. The ref backed Drew out of the corner, and McIntyre missed on a charging move in the other corner.

McIntyre started to work on Riley's injured leg. Drew twisted A-Ry's legs around the ringpost, then put on a Figure Four. Later, Riley tried to get Drew up on his shoulders, but his hurt leg gave out, allowing Drew to get a near fall. Moments later, Riley wisely avoided a move in the corner from Drew and managed to get Drew onto the corner. Riley got under Drew to get him on his shoulders for the finishing move.

Winner: Alex Riley wins via pinfall over Drew McIntyre.


The Usos vs. Epico & Primo

The Usos did their special chant and battle dance up on the stage before jumping down the ramp as their pyro exploded. Jimmy and Jey headed to the ring to do battle with Epico and Primo.

The Usos took early control of things and used some doubleteaming. Epico gained control and tagged in his cousin Primo to do work, but Primo was quickly cloteshlined down. Later, Primo and Epico took control and used a doubleteam move to suplex Primo onto Epico onto the Uso for a near fall.

Jey Uso exploded at one point to take control of Epico with fastpaced offense. After a hip splash, Jey took the near fall with Primo getting in to break things up. The ref was distracted by Jimmy and Epico, so Primo hit a Backstabber on Jey Uso. Moments later, Jimmy did a flying move out onto Primo outside the ring. However, in the ring Jey was stunned and Epico hit another backstabber on him for the win.

Winners: Primo & Epico win via pinfall over The Usos.


Trent Barretta vs. Tyson Kidd

Kidd was already in the ring when Superstars returned. Josh Matthews was now joined by Matt Striker on commentary. They brought up Survivor Series and the teamup of The Rock and Cena. Matt Striker asked Josh Matthews if he should join Twitter, but Josh said no, then explained how it works to him.

Meanwhile, Trent Barreta was in control, until Tyson got both boots up into his face. Trent managed to baseball slide under Kidd to the outside, but then got kicked in the face. Kidd took control from there.

Later, Kidd put on a submission headlock type hold on the mat and yelled at the ref to "Ask him!" Trent made a comeback to get Kidd down with a swinging neckbreaker, then kicked Kidd as he tried to come at him through the ropes.

For the close of the match, Barreta climbed up on the corner for a moonsault/leg drop and hit it on Kidd. Kidd managed to kick out of the pinfall. Trent managed to get a big kick to the back of Kidd's head, and a running move for another near fall. Moments later, Kidd avoided Trent as he ran at him in the corner. Kidd used a standing suplex to drop Barreta on the back of his neck for the win.

Winner: Tyson Kidd wins by pinfall over Trent Barretta.

WWE Superstars closed this week's show with a replay of parts of The Rock and Cena on Raw facing off against Awesome Truth. Cena and Rock traded a few jabs at one another, until Miz interrupted and talked trash. Raw ended with The Rock hitting Rock Bottom on both Miz and Truth, leaving Cena surprised at the fact he didn't let him do the Attitude Adjustment.

WWE Superstars Results 11/03/11


WWE Superstars Results 11/3/11:

Commentator Jack Korpela welcomed fans to the show just as Justin Gabriel was making his entrance to the ring for the first match. Korpela was joined by his colleague Matt Striker on commentary. The duo opened by talking about the team of Cena and The Rock scheduled for Survivor Series 2011.

Justin Gabriel vs. Jinder Mahal

Mahal arrived out from backstage with a mic as he walked down the ramp speaking in Hindi. Gabriel was seated in the corner of the ring just smirking and looking confused by Mahal.

Late in the match, Mahal missed on a running knee, hitting the corner hard. Gabriel used a variety of quick kicks to knock down Jinder. Gabriel was able to roll over Jinder's back from against the ropes. Justin went for a big springboard moonsault flip from off the ropes, but Jinder rolled out of the way. Moments later, Justin countered Jinder's move to knock him down, then landed the 450 Splash for the win.

Winner: Justin Gabriel wins via pinfall over Jinder Mahal.




Scott Stanford and Josh Matthews were now on hand to take over the Raw portion of WWE Superstars. Josh Matthews mentioned there's a "social network battle" going on between Yoshi and Kidd.

Yoshi Tatsu vs. Tyson Kidd

Matthews said Kidd is re-tweeting a lot of Yoshi's tweets and then making wisecracks about them. Stanford noted that Yoshi tweeted he'll beat Kidd quicker than it takes to make a cup of Japanese noodles.

Late in the match, Kidd hit a neckbreaker to take down Yoshi for the pinfall. He put a hold on Yoshi to pull his arms back behind him but Yoshi wouldn't give up. Yoshi managed to hit a big move later off the corner with a tomahawk chop on Kidd for a near fall. Moments later, both men clotheslined each other down to the mat as Superstars took a break.

The finish saw Yoshi go for the reverse spin kick from off the corner. Kidd countered it though and put Yoshi into the Sharpshooter. Yoshi was able to crawl over and grab the bottom rope to break the hold. Later, Kidd tried for another Sharpshooter, but couldn't get it. He went for a Boston Crab with Yoshi turning it into a pinfall attempt. Kidd kicked him away, but Yoshi came back with his roundhouse kick to win it.

Winner: Yoshi Tatsu wins via pinfall over Tyson Kidd.




Superstars showed the Raw Rebound. It featured highlights from Monday's show including the various antics with The Muppets.

John Morrison vs. Drew McIntyre

Drew tried to take control early and managed to by punching and kicking Morrison down. He followed with a big boot drop on Morrison's head for the near fall. Moments later, Morrison had an impressive hurricanrana to flip Drew out of the ring.

Morrison went for a big running move off the steel steps, but McIntyre ducked it. Morrison dropkicked him down, and Drew tried to hide under the ring. Morrison went to grab Drew, but McIntyre yanking him shoulder first into the steel under the ring.

Later in the match, Morrison had a spinning crossbody over the corner of the ring out onto Drew. Back in the ring, Morrison had a pinfall with Drew getting a leg on the ropes. McIntyre had a near fall of his own moments later. Even later on in the match, Drew had a huge powerbomb with two near falls on Morrison.
