Raw Results 02/21/11

Raw Results from Fresno State University:

Raw opened with a 2 21 11 up on the screen with a countdown timer running 59 minutes and counting down until the arrival. The eery house and stormy scene was shown in the background for a bit as the clock counted down, then the Raw theme video started.

See The Undertaker's big return to WWE (Video)!

Michael Cole was on commentary saying there's 41 days until Wrestlemania and the road goes through the Save Mart Center tonight. John Cena's theme music hit to bring out last night's Raw Chamber winner to the ring. Cole and Matthews discussed how Cena will be going to Wrestlemania now. Cena pointed to the Wrestlemania 27 banner up in the rafters, then discussed how great a day it's been. "Rocky" chants started up with Cena pausing.

Cena talked about his excitement of going to Wrestlemania to face The Miz. Cena said ever since last Monday he hasn't been hearing about Miz or Elimination Chamber, but about some alleged comments made by The Rock. Cena said he doesn't know what to say about it. He said they'd take a look at the footage and decide what to do, so part of the Rock's speech from last Monday was shown over.

Cena said it seems Rock was making fun of him, so he should probably say something now. Cena said he still has a degree in Thuganomics to answer The Rock. Cena did a rap with all sorts of movie disses about Rock including "The Game Plan," and "Tooth Fairy." Cena also said the fans couldn't see him for 7 years.

Matthews and Cole discussed how Cole has an interview with Jerry Lawler later on. Matthews brought up Morrison in the Elimination Chamber last night, saying JMo faces CM Punk next. The countdown clock was shown with about 46 minutes remaining on the timer.

John Morrison vs. CM Punk

They showed how Punk had cut marks on his leg from last night's Chamber match. Punk held that area as the match started off. Punk targed the injured knee of JMo early on in the match.

Late in the match, Morrison exploded to punch away on Punk, but he was favoring that hurt knee. Morrison ran at Punk who kicked him in the legs. From there, Punk grabbed Morrison and hit the GTS for the pinfall win.

Post-match, Punk requested a mic to speak in the ring so he could call out Orton. Punk asked Orton where he is and said he's decided to give the new Nexus a night off. Punk brought up September 2008 again when Orton punted him in the skull, costing him his title. He added that Orton doesn't deserve to be at Wrestlemania and it might be because he's too crippled to compete. He promised to hurt Orton if he shows up at Raw next week, so he should just walk away.

Orton came rushing into the ring and took Punk down to attack him. He nearly hit the RKO, but Punk managed to shove him away and escape the ring. The rest of New Nexus joined Punk on the ramp. Punk pushed them back as Orton paced around the ring.

Winner: CM Punk wins via pinfall over John Morrison.

Justin Roberts introduced Ricardo Rodriguez to intro Alberto Del Rio in Spanish. Del Rio arrived out near the ramp in a new Lamborghini worth over $250,000. As Del Rio was walking down the ramp, Kofi Kingston rushed down and attacked. The two fought for a bit towards the ring, with Del Rio gaining control. He threw Kofi into the crowd barrier and then locked on the Cross Armbreaker submission for a bit. Finally, the refs got him away. Del Rio went up the ramp smiling and talking to Rodriguez, as the ref and an official helped Kofi stand. Del Rio rushed back over and shoved Kofi hard into the ringpost to further damage Kofi's left arm. Kofi writhed around on the outside floor in pain.

The Miz and Alex Riley were shown walking backstage in suits, with Miz carrying the Championship belt.

The Miz and Alex Riley came out onto the ramp. Miz had a microphone and said last week the crowd embarrassed themselves over the way they reacted to The Rock on last week's Raw. Miz brought up how Rock said he sucks last week. Miz said John Cena and The Rock have one thing in common: they're cultural icons the people love, but Miz could care less what the people think of him. Miz went off about how he doesn't care what they think, saying he is unquestionably awesome. Just then, the lights flashed and email sound chimed. Cole stood up asking for people's attention.

Cole got up to read from the laptop, "And I quote..." The GM said enough about The Rock, he'll be dealt with later. The GM said The Rock and Sock was a formidable tag team combination, so tonight The Miz will compete for the tag titles, with his partner, John Cena. Miz looked surprised and smirked a bit at the idea.

Raw returned with a look at the upcoming WWE All-Stars game. In the game, they showed a mock battle between George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. John Cena came out and fought Washington, then watch the match.

Eve Torres & Gail Kim vs. The Bella Twins

They showed footage of last week's catfight involving Eve and The Bellas backstage, with Gail Kim getting involved as well as Natalya and referees.

Late in the match, the Bellas created a distraction causing Gail Kim to try to get into the ring. Eve had a pinfall but the other Bella came in to try to break it up. Eve rushed over at the Bella on the apron. With the ref preoccupied with Gail on the apron, the Bellas made a switcharoo in the ring, with the illegal Bella rolling Eve into the small package pin.

Winner: The Bellas win via pinfall over Eve Torres & Gail Kim.

The countdown timer for 2 21 11 was now shown running under 3 minutes as Raw went to commercial break.

A special video started to countdown when Raw returned from 22 down to 00, with the creepy, stormy house scene shown in the background. The door of the house opened and The Undertaker stepped out through the front door with the Johnny Cash song playing "there ain't no grave to hold my body down." Undertaker was shown in front of a bunch of light as the video ended and the arena went dark with the Johnny Cash song playing. It ended and the Undertaker's bells sounded.

Undertaker emerged from backstage with his smoke and lights as his theme music played for the walk to the ring. Undertaker got in the ring with a huge Taker sign hanging above the ring. He waited for several moments then removed his hat. Suddenly, Triple H's theme music sounded sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Surprise, The Game is back! HHH arrived out in a leather jacket and carrying a water bottle with black shades on. He removed his shades and stared down the ramp to the ring at Undertaker. Taker continued to glare at Triple H as he got on the apron and spit his water out, then got into the ring with the Phenom. HHH gave Taker a look then went over to pose on the corner for the crowd. Taker continued to shoot looks over at Hunter from the center of the ring.

The two men engaged in a staredown center ring as the crowd made noise. HHH turned his attention to the Wrestlemania banner, and eventually Taker turned to look at it as well. HHH looked at him and smirked shaking his head, then put his cap on before walking to leave the ring. He stopped though, then turned back around and got in HHH's face giving him the cutthroat symbol. Triple H gave him the DX crotch chop as a response and they engaged in another staredown with no words exchanged.

Raw returned with Michael Cole reviewing two of WWE's all-time icons in the ring staring at the Wrestlemania sign. Cole said these are two of the most anticipated returns on Monday Raw. Cole suggested they will meet in six weeks at Wrestlemania 27.

Mark Henry vs. Sheamus

Josh Matthews reviewed the attack Sheamus made on Henry from behind on the ramp, last week on Raw.

Late in this one, Henry went for a big splash with Sheamus moving away. He returned to boot Henry down from his knees, then waited in the corner for Henry to get up. The ref was checking on Henry, so Sheamus went over to rip the turnbuckle cover off. It backfired though, as Henry was back up and rushed over to splash Sheamus in that corner, causing him to hurt his back. Henry followed with World's Strongest Slam for the win.

Winner: Mark Henry wins via pinfall over Sheamus.

Cole talked about how Rima Fakih is going to be a host of WWE Tough Enough on USA the night after Wrestlemania.

Backstage, Daniel Bryan was joking around with Gail Kim. Suddenly Sheamus came walking by and then came over to Bryan asking if he thought something was funny. Sheamus said it'd be funny if he ripped off his head and replaced it with his girlfriend's. Bryan stared at Sheamus asking what his problem was. Sheamus eventually backed off.

Michael Cole talked about the tradition of the WWE Hall of Fame induction one night before Wrestlemania. Josh Matthews said it's time for the next inductee and they rolled a video promo of Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Duggan was the first ever winner of the Royal Rumble match. He is now the second inductee of the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame class. He will be inducted by The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase.

Michael Cole got into the ring saying he is about to interview Jerry "The King" Lawler. Cole said if they touch one another they'll both be terminated. He said he's going to conduct a professional interview as the voice of the WWE. Cole talked about being a better commentator than Jim Ross, Gordon Sully and Gorilla Monsoon.

After break, Raw returned and Cole introduced his guest Lawler, who came to the ring. Cole made the interview one-sided asking if Lawler thought about retiring after he was crushed last night. Cole kept asking stuff but Lawler stayed silent just staring at him. At one point, Cole brought up Lawler's mother and her passing. He asked how he felt about letting her down with a loss on Sunday. Lawler grabbed him by the suit coat collar and started to chastise Cole, saying he better never mention his mother ever again. Lawler said he may have never competed at Wrestlemania, but he's got an in. Lawler issued a Wrestlemania challenge, him versus Lawler. Then he shoved him away and asked Cole what he says about that. Cole said Lawler's a senile old man and he'll never get him in the ring ever. Cole left the ring and went back to his commentators seat.

Lawler got out of the ring saying if Cole wants to run his mouth ever week like a tough guy, it's time to step up and be a man, show everyone what he's got. Lawler asked if Cole's a man or gutless yellow coward. Cole ripped off his suit coat and threw a glass of water into Lawler's face. Cole took off fast as Lawler went after him. Cole ran backstage through the side aisle, with Lawler shaking his head. The crowd started a "Jerry" chant up.

Josh Matthews was solo on commentary as The Corre were shown walking backstage. Wade Barrett and Ezekiel Jackson were with the new tag champs.

During break, a commercial for "The Chaperone" on DVD and Blu-ray aired, saying it will be available on March 8th at Walmart.

Raw returned with Josh Matthews discussing what just transpired between Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler. Lawler was now on commentary with Matthews. Lawler said he'd wait there until Cole returns, if he's got the guts to.

John Cena & The Miz vs. Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel
WWE Tag Team Championship Match

Alex Riley accompanied Miz to the ring and was ringside for the championship bout.

During the match, Cena gained control on Justin Gabriel, punching him down hear the ropes, then suplexing him. Cena looked over in Miz's direction and Miz extended his arm for a tag. Cena gave in and made the tag. Miz came in to take it to Justin Gabriel, hitting the running clothesline in the corner. Miz looked over at Cena as Gabriel was getting up, then hit him with the Skullcrushing Finale. Slater looked like he wanted to get in the ring but didn't. Miz took the pinfall and got the big win. Cena was shocked on the apron as Riley was celebrating outside the ring. Cena grabbed a tag team belt and celebrated up on the corner. Lawler said Miz probably believes he earned that victory on his own.

Winners: John Cena and The Miz win via pinfall over Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater to become new WWE tag team champions.

Wade Barrett of The Corre got on the mic saying they want their tag team titles rematch right now. The lights flashed so Josh Matthews went over to read an email from the laptop. He said "ring the bell" so Raw went to commercial break.

John Cena & The Miz vs. Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel
WWE Tag Team Championship Match

In the rematch, Miz was knocked out of the ring. Alex Riley tried to go over to help him but got the stare down treatment from Jackson and Barrett. Gabriel continued to beat up Miz back in the ring. Miz got to his feet fighting back, but then was slammed down for the near fall. Cena begged for the tag, but Miz kept getting doubleteamed.

Miz stretched out at one point for the tag but Miz couldn't reach as Slater attacked him. Slater continued the wear down strategy on Miz. Miz finally was able to get a boot to kick Gabriel as he tried a springboard move at him. Miz struggled to crawl towards Cena as Gabriel made a tag to Slater. Cena got the hot tag and came in with momentum, dropping Slater and then hitting Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena picked up Slater for the AA, but the ref became distracted as Gabriel tried to get in the ring. Miz was back to his feet and grabbed Cena from behind, hitting the Skullcrushing finale. As the ref turned back, Miz hit the road with Riley, and Slater crawled over to pin John Cena for the win.

Winners: Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater win via pinfall over John Cena and The Miz to become new WWE tag team champions.

Post-match, Miz and Riley stopped up on the stage to stare down the ramp towards a dejected John Cena in the ring.
