CM Punk on Bill Simmons Podcast

With Monday's return to Raw by CM Punk, fans are wondering if Punk's back with WWE. It appears based on a recent interview Punk does with Bill Simmons, that Punk is back and will be part of the Summerslam Pay-Per-View.

During his podcast interview today, Simmons found out several interesting tidbits. One of the more interesting things Punk said was that he didn't know if he'd be returning to WWE until Money in the Bank. Punk said he had to think it over for a long time, and was seriously considering leaving the WWE. However, it appears that now in a Summerslam spoiler (as many would expect) CM Punk will be headlining Summerslam 2011 in a match against John Cena. Punk has pretty much confirmed that on the podcast.

Among other topics, Punk talked about his idols growing up: Roddy Piper, Macho Man and "chubby Shawn Michaels villain with the dangling ear-rings and Sensational Sheri."

CM Punk also talked about how he won't watch his Money in the Bank match because there's things he knows he'd do better. Punk also talked about being media-friendly. He said Miz is good at what he does, but his answers are very corporate and rehearsed, whereas Punk speaks the truth in his interviews and as isn't media-friendly.

Punk also said he likes to think he has a good relationship with Vince McMahon. Punk wouldn't elaborate on what he and Vince have talked about in the past few weeks. Punk said Vince is ecstatic with what's going on right now, as if there's something in the air. Punk talks a lot about the fans being disappointed in WWE for some time.
