Raw Results 1/14/13

Raw Results from Houston, TX:

They opened with a mix of various Raw openings from over the years.  Once the live shot comes in, Vince McMahon is in the ring and talks about Raw's success through the years, thanking the fans.  He says John Cena will face Dolph Ziggler in a steel cage tonight, and The Rock's Rock concert is live.  Big Show comes out and interrupts.

Show complains about losing the title in a Last Man Standing match he wasn't ready for.  He says Booker was jealous of him and then says he wants Del Rio stripped of the title.  ADR comes out with Ricardo and gets into a verbal trash talking session with him.  Ricardo picks up a bucket and Show warns him, but Ricardo splashes it full of confetti all over Show.  Show goes to attack Ricardo, but Del Rio stops him and hits a Hurricanrana, then kicks Show in the head to send him out of the ring.  Vince introduces ADR as he poses from the ring corner.

Wade Barrett defeated Randy Orton by pinfall in a non-title match.  Late in the match, Orton hit a backbreaker on Barrett and then a DDT with Wade draped from the second rope.  Orton and Barrett fought back and forth some more with Wade ultimately hitting his Bullhammer elbow to win it.

Backstage, Eve was warned by Booker that if she tries to leave or gets counted out, she'll be stripped of her title.  Teddy laughed at her and Eve slapped him in the face.

They had a pre-taped segment where Kane and Daniel Bryan went to see Dr. Shelby to get evaluated.  During the session, he brought in Rhodes Scholars as an "anger trigger" to get Hell No to curb their negative emotions when triggered.  Sandow and Rhodes started to berate Shelby though and he ordered Kane and Bryan to attack, so they get rid of Rhodes Scholars.

Kane defeated Damien Sandow via pinfall.  Rhodes and Bryan are ringside.  Late in the match, Sandow hit the Elbow of Disdain.  He went off the top rope, but Kane catches him with a hand around the throat and hits the chokeslam.

Justin Roberts introduced the first official 2013 Hall of Fame inductee, Mick Foley.

Foley came to the ring, thankng the crowd for the ovation.  Suddenly, The Shield's music hit and they came out to interrupt him.  They surrounded Foley in the ring, but Ryback's music hits and he comes out for a save.  Shield tries to beat him up, but he fights him off.  They keep attacking and Randy Orton rushes down to help.  Soon after, Sheamus comes down to help Orton and Ryback.  Shield gets cleared out of the ring and they backed up the ramp.

Josh Matthews interviewed Ryback in the ring and he tells him Shield has helped Punk escape him every time he fought him.  He says he won't rest until he gives back the Shield what they have taken from him.  A "Feed Me Shield" chant starts up with Ryback leading it.

They showed a video of some of the strange gimmicks on Raw over the years: Max Moon, Bastion Booger, The Sultan, Gillberg, The Goon, Boogeyman and more.

Kaitlyn defeated Eve Torres by pinfall to become the new Divas Champion.  Late in the match, Kaitlyn picked up Eve on her shoulders then dropped her onto her knee.  Eve rolled out of the ring to recover with Kaitlyn going out after her.  Eve threw Kaitlyn into the fan barricade, then walked over and dumped her over the barricade.  Eve, thinking she had Kaitlyn taken care off, nonchalantly walked back towards the ring.  Kaitlyn got up though and was able to slide in ahead of Eve.  She set up in the corner as Eve was distracted taunting the crowd.  Kaitlyn surprised Eve with the spear to pin her for the title win.

Backstage, Brodus Clay talked to Josh Matthews about how Punk mentioned him in last week's Pipe Bomb speech.  Clay said the pipebomb is about to blow up in Punk's face tonight.

CM Punk defeated Brodus Clay via submission in a non-title match.  Late in this one, Punk tried for a move, but Clay blocked him and then tossed Punk overhead across the ring.  He followed with a clothesline and a headbutt to take Punk down.  Clay went for the running splash on Punk in the corner, but Punk moved away then kicked Clay in the leg to ground him.  After knocking Clay onto his back, Punk got on the top rope for the Macho Man style elbow drop.  He immediately put Clay into the Anaconda Vice and made him tap out.

Backstage, Mick Foley was shown talking on a phone to his kids.  The Rock walks up and Foley ends his call.  He goes to shake his hand, but Rock says he isn't there to shake his hand.  He hugs Foley and congratulates him on the WWE HOF induction.  They do a bit of Rock and Sock comedy routine but Vickie Guerrero walks up to tell them she can't hear herself think.  She keeps ranting, saying this is her show.  Rock says he has nothing to say to her, there's a time and place for everything.  He tells Foley to enjoy the Rock concert later on.

3MB defeated Sheamus in an over-the-top-rope challenge.  Sheamus fought off an early 3-on-1 attack several times and avoided being tossed out.  He managed to eliminate Jinder, and then McIntyre.  He goes for a Brogue Kick on Slater but gets stuck on the apron.  Jinder and Drew come over and help Slater eliminate Sheamus.  Post-match, Sheamus gets back in and hits the Brogue Kick on Drew and Slater.

Josh Matthews tried to ask John Cena backstage about his cage match and the fact Big E Langston has his number.  Cena said we should be talking about Raw instead and lists off different names of superstars.

The Miz comes out for Miz TV on stage saying his guest tonight is a Hall of Famer, and gives the hint: Whoooo!  Miz walks to the ring as Raw hits commercial.

Miz talked with Ric Flair during Miz TV, but got interrupted by Antonio Cesaro.  He came out carrying a US flag and said he doesn't need catchphrases.  He tells Flair he's got nothing to show he was great in the past except maybe a bar tab he can't pay.  He tells Flair those four fingers he holds up only refer to 4 ex wives now.  Miz gets mad and tosses a chair.  He tells Cesaro he'll pay Flair's tab tonight but he's going to give Cesaro the receipt.  Cesaro says he'll be the bigger man and walk away.  Flair stops him though and chops away, then sends him to Miz for the Skullcrushing Finale.  Flair prepared for a Figure Four, but then let Miz lock it on.  Flair did elbow drops on their suit jackets.  Flair and Miz posed as Flair's music played to end the segment.

Daniel Bryan defeated Cody Rhodes via submission.  During the match, Cody wasted too much time after a knee drop and eventually got put in Bryan's Yes Lock. Cody tapped to give Bryan the win.

Michael Cole showed a WWE App video of Eve Torres going off on Matt Striker after her loss to Kaitlyn.  She told Striker she's a victim and doesn't need WWE, so she's quitting.  She blames Striker and the fans for everything, then walks off.

John Cena defeated Dolph Ziggler via pinfall in a steel cage match.  Late in the match, Ziggler hit Zig Zag on Cena for a near fall.  Ziggler started to climb but Cena stopped him rom it.  He pulled him down, but moments later Ziggler ran and did a huge DDT on Cena from the top rope.  Cena kicked out at 2 and AJ was mad at ringside.  She started to climb up the cage and got all the way to the top.  Langston got in the ring, with Cena able to fight him off.  Ziggler rushes at Cena with the briefcase, but Cena ducks and it hits Langston.  Cena then hit the AA on Ziggler for the win with AJ watching from the top of the cage.  After the win, Cena headed up the ramp as AJ screamed from the top of the cage.

The Rock reminisced about his early days in WWE with his Rocky Maivia gear shown up on the big screen.  He cracked some jokes about it then said "if you put your mind to it you can overcome anything."  Rock said tonight it's all about the return of the Rock concert in Houston, TX.

Rock did some lines from "Heartbreak Hotel" and joked about Paul Heyman.  He pointed out Dusty from ZZ Top in the audience before singing some "Sharp Dressed Man."  Rock asked Vickie Guerrero to come out on stage so he could serenade her.  She slowly made her way out onto the stage.  He sang a song to the tune of Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" but finished with his own chorus of "No beeyotch, you look horrible tonight."  After more lines and the chorus, Vickie walked backstage disgusted.

Rock called out CM Punk so he could tell him something man-to-man.  Punk came walking to the stage with Heyman, then held up the WWE belt to show Rock.  Rock pointed out facts: For 421 days no one has been able to stop Punk, and that with God as his witness in 13 days he will defeat him for the WWE title.  Punk handed the belt off to Heyman, then rushed down the ramp.  Rock got out of the ring and the two started brawling around on the floor and near the barrier.  Refs got involved to pull them apart, but Punk broke free and jumped on Rock for more back and forth punching.

Referees continued breaking things up with tensions high as Raw went off the air.
