Raw Results 10/07/13

Raw Results from Pittsburgh, PA:

They opened talking about the controversial end to Battleground involving Big Show interfering in and preventing the WWE title match from finishing.  Stephanie McMahon started off Raw coming to the ring to say how the PPV's main event was ruined, and now fans are angry and she's angry.  She called out Big Show and humiliated him in the ring in front of the fans, blaming him for last night's issues, and saying she and HHH have helped him financially.

Stephanie ordered Show to get on his knees and beg the fans for forgiveness.  Show refused to do it and talked about how she told him to KO Orton last night.  Stephanie reminded Show she wasn't even there.  He called Triple H a "son of a b" and Stephanie slapped him twice.  Show smiled at her, and Stephanie slapped him several more times.  Stephanie fired him on the spot, and Big Show yelled before leaving the ring.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Damien Sandow via pinfall.  Late in the match, Ziggler went for a sleeper hold with Sandow blocking.  Ziggler went up to the top rope moments later, but Sandow knocked him down.  Out of nowhere after some offense was exchanged, Ziggler hit the Fameasser for the big win.

Backstage, Stephanie yelled at Brad Maddox over all the problems with Battleground including a power outage, the Rhodes family winning, and the main event getting ruined.  Maddox tried to bring up Triple H for something, but Stephanie cut him off saying HHH has been trying to fix things all day.  She asked Maddox if he made the "arrangements" and he said yes.  Stephanie told him to go out to the ring and apologize, then explain how he's going to make this up to the WWE Universe.

Eva Marie, Jo Jo and Natalya defeated Aksana, Rosa Mendes and Alicia Fox via submission.  Natalya put the Sharpshooter on Alicia Fox to get the win.  Post-match, the "Total Divas" girls celebrated their victory.

GM Brad Maddox came out on stage and gave his apologies to the fans for Battleground's issues last night.  He said that Daniel Bryan will face Randy Orton at Hell in a Cell for the WWE title.  Fans will vote on the special referee for the match.  Maddox announced option number one is Booker T.  Other candidates will be announced later on Raw.

Los Matadores defeated Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal of 3MB via pinfall.  Late in the match, Drew was in control, but the Matadores made a comeback, using double team moves for an eventual pinfall win.  Post-match, Heath Slater tried to chase El Torito around, but it did a top rope hurricanrana to take him down.

Paul Heyman was in the ring with Ryback and Curtis Axel for a speech about Battleground.  Heyman bragged first about beating CM Punk in a match, then talked about what happened at Battleground.  He called Punk a "bully and a cheater."  They showed a still shot of Punk hitting a low blow on Ryback during their match to get the win.  Heyman shook his head about it, and then Punk's music hit to bring him out.

From the stage, Punk said all he did last night was win.  He said he kicked Ryback in the balls to see if he had any.  Heyman told Punk he'll never get the chance to do that again.  Punk said if that's a challenge for a rematch, he accepts.  Punk tells them that's what they get for picking on someone smarter than they are.  Heyman tells Ryback to do something about it.  Ryback calls Punk a bully and taunts him to come to the ring.  Punk looks to the fans who are chanting for him.  R-Truth's music comes on and he comes out to the stage with Punk to head to the ring.

CM Punk & R-Truth defeated Curtis Axel & Ryback via pinfall.  The close saw Punk hit a big elbow drop off the top rope on Axel.  He followed with GTS and connected.  Ryback ran in to try to help, but got sent back out.  Punk tagged in Truth, who came in and hit his scissors kick to finish off Axel.

Bob Backlund was introduced as another potential special referee for the Hell in a Cell match (Bryan vs. Orton).

Randy Orton defeated Kofi Kingston via pinfall.  The close saw these two fighting out on the floor.  Orton hit a huge clothesline, then threw Kofi into a crowd barrier, before dropping him on top of it.  Orton hit his draping DDT with Kofi on top of the barrier.  He brought Kofi back in the ring and hit the RKO to get the win.  Post-match, Daniel Bryan rushed out to attack Orton.  WWE staff tried to break things up.  Orton started heading backstage with Bryan chasing him.

Backstage, Vickie Guerrero was yelling at a WWE staff member when Alberto Del Rio walked up.  He asked if she was going to make him the "new face of the WWE" since he's the only major champion now.  He said he was hoping to have the night off after taking out RVD during their match last night, but understands that the people need to see him.  He kissed up to Vickie some, before giving his scarf to her and kissing her on the cheek.

Shawn Michaels came out to the stage to a roar from the fans.  He talked about why they should vote for him on the WWE app to be special referee at Hell in a Cell.  He said he trained Bryan and doesn't like Orton, but won't let those things interfere.  He said he'll make sure there's a new WWE champion and doesn't care what's best for business, but what's best for the fans.

Ricardo Rodriguez defeated Alberto Del Rio in a non-title match. Vickie brought Ricardo out as the opponent and he looked upset about being forced into the match.  The bell rang and Vickie made another announcement, letting Del Rio know that John Cena will be his opponent at the Hell in a Cell PPV.  Del Rio was stunned by the news, and Rodriguez took advantage, snagging a quick rollup pinfall.  Vickie laughed at Del Rio post match, as Ricardo posed up on top of the announcers table.  Del Rio attacked Ricardo and started to beat him up.  He put a chair around Ricardo's arm and stomped on it multiple times.  Referees had to hold Del Rio off and then checked on Rodriguez.

Fandango defeated Zack Ryder via pinfall.  During the late part of this one, Fandango and Ryder fought on the outside.  Ryder brought things back in the ring, but Fandango retreated to the apron, before making a comeback.  He eventually hit the big leg drop off the corner on Ryder for the win.

The WWE App voting results were announced with Shawn Michaels voted as special referee for Orton vs. Bryan at Hell in a Cell PPV.

The Real Americans defeated Great Khali and Santino Marella via pinfall.  In a rematch from Battleground, Cesaro once again got the spinning move to toss Khali around, before collecting the pinfall on him, just like at the PPV.

The Shield defeated Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes & Goldust via pinfall in a no disqualification match.  The match was originally fought under normal rules, until Dean Ambrose ran in to the ring with a steel chair as Daniel Bryan had the Yes Lock on Rollins.  HHH interrupted the decision announcement and said he was having the match restarted as a No DQ.

After the bell, Bryan and Rollins resumed their fighting in the ring.  Reigns and Ambrose started to doubleteam Goldust on the outside floor, so Bryan did his leaping suicide dive out onto them to break it up.  Suddenly, Randy Orton appeared and got involved, hitting an RKO on Bryan outside the ring.  He rolled Bryan back into the ring and Rollins made the pinfall cover for the win.

Post-match, Triple H gave a signal to The Shield and they began their beatdown on Cody and Goldust.  All of a sudden, Big Show's music hit and came down towards the ring.  A worried HHH got in the ring to hide behind The Shield.  Show got in the ring with Shield going after him.  He fought off Shield for a bit, before staring down HHH.  Shield managed to get Show down, so Triple H took off his jacket and told them to hold Show in place. Show pushed away The Shield members, then was right in HHH's face.  Show delivered the KO punch to knock out Triple H, leaving him down on the mat.  He left the ring and headed up the ramp.  Daniel Bryan got on his feet to lead "YES!" chants with the fans.  Big Show's music played as Bryan mocked HHH in the ring before Raw ended.
