Main Event Results 04/18/14

Main Event results from Houston, TX:

The latest episode of Main Event was shown live online via the WWE Network on Tuesday, March 18th, with the televised episode airing on ION on Wednesday. Among the highlights were Undertaker's first-ever appearance on Main Event, as well as Layla, Big Show, Cody Rhodes, Goldust, Cesaro, Jack Swagger and Kofi Kingston all in action. The Rhodes Brothers were introduced for the first matchup, with Real Americans introduced next as their opponents.

The Rhodes Brothers defeated Real Americans via pinfall. The Rhodes hit a double splash onto the floor in the early part of the action. Later, Cesaro had control of things and did his Cesaro Big Swing with ten rotations. Goldust was isolated for a bit but eventually tagged in Cody for a top rope moonsault. Swagger almost got the Patriot Lock on Cody, but he avoided it, then hit Cross Rhodes on him for the pinfall win. Post-match, Cesaro helped Swagger out of the ring.

Cameron & Naomi defeated Layla & Alicia Fox via pinfall. Naomi managed to get the win for her team, with Layla returning to action for the first time in several months being off television.

They showed the Raw Rebound which highlighted the Triple H and Daniel Bryan confrontation at the end of Raw.

Big Show defeated Titus O’Neil via pinfall. Show went for a chokeslam at one point, but Titus managed to block it, then hit the Clash of the Titus for a near fall. Moments later, Titus was being cocky about seeming to be in control. He walked into a chokeslam grab from Show, who decided to hit Titus with a KO punch to get the pinfall win.

Paul Heyman came out to the ring to deliver a message to Undertaker from his client, Brock Lesnar. He gave discussion of the Streak, making it sound similar to the level of the World Championship, but noted that the Streak will finally end at WrestleMania 30 at the hands of Lesnar. Undertaker’s bell tolled, as he came out in his hometown with Heyman looking nervous. He looked at the entrance for Undertaker to come to the ring, but instead Taker showed up standing in the ring behind Heyman. He grabbed Heyman by the throat and delivered a message of his own that he will “slay the beast and throw him into Hell at WrestleMania.” He said if Lesnar doesn’t get the message, he’ll continue it on Monday’s Raw in Brooklyn. He kept choking Heyman into submission, then posed in the ring and on the stage area.

Kofi Kingston defeated Heath Slater via pinfall. 3MB teammates Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre weren’t around for the matchup. Kofi made a late comeback in this match which lasted under five minutes. He hit Trouble in Paradise to knock Slater down for the win.
