Triple H on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

On Tuesday night, WWE Superstar Triple H made an appearance on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Show. Triple H has been on SNL before so he and Fallon knew each other. Earlier in the show, Fallon talked about how one of the guests he really wanted on the show was Triple H. When the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show set was originally being put together, Fallon talked on a video blog about how cool it would be to have HHH come through these trap doors they had installed with smoke machines. And that's just what happened, as HHH came up through trap doors in the middle of the audience with smoke going off. Fallon's band rap group "The Roots" played "Bow down to the King" while HHH slapped hands with audience members.

Ashton Kucher was also a guest prior to HHH and sat in for the interview. He mentioned that his chiuahua always barks when Triple H is on the TV screen and doesn't stop barking until he's off. They discussed Twitter and Triple H said he doesn't even use it or know how to Tweet. Triple H also mentioned the DX reunion and how they will face Legacy at Summerslam.

They also showed a preview of Smackdown vs. Raw 2010, with a downloadable Jimmy Fallon character taking on Triple H. Triple H dominated after some brief offense from Fallon, and hit the Pedigree. Fallon then mentioned that NBC will have the world premiere of Wrestlemania 25 on August 29th.

Later on Jimmy Fallon posted the following Twitter message to Smackdown vs Raw about HHH's visit:

@SvRgame Triple H said he wasn't on Twitter. So please tell him thanks for me. The game looks fun. about 13 hours ago from Tweetie

I'm a Celeb Torrie Wilson's Husband

Ex-WWE Diva Torrie Wilson is currently one of the star competitors on NBC's hit series "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!". Torrie has survived up to Episode 15, and won at least a few trial challenges on the show. The show's had its share of controversy with the whole Speidi pair of Heidi and Spencer Pratt (from MTV's The Hills), but Torrie continues to remain a tough competitor. She's still in the game with fellow celebs Stephen Baldwin (actor), John Salley (NBA), Sanjayah (American Idol), Lou Diamond Phillips (actor) and Patti Blagojevich (related to Rod). Torrie retired from WWE back in May 2008, but was recently seen again as she was a participant in WWE's Wrestlemania 25 Divas Battle Royal, won by Santina Marella. Torrie's been on Playboy twice, and was part of Timbaland's music video with several other divas. View Torrie's I'm a Celeb profile at NBC

In case you're wondering, the Boise beauty Torrie Wilson's husband used to be former WWE wrestling star, Billy Kidman (real name: Peter Gruner). Torrie and Kidman were married back on July 11th, 2003, and the couple lived together in Tampa, Florida for about four years. In 2007, Torrie Wilson and her husband Peter Gruner became officially divorced. Gruner (Kidman) is currently a trainer for Florida Championship Wrestling, the official training ground for World Wrestling Entertainment. (source: wikipedia.org) Torrie, who currently lives in Houston, has been in a relationship with Nick Mitchell, who was part of the "Spirit Squad", a male cheerleading wrestler group that used to appear on WWE Raw. Torrie and Nick opened a clothing store together.

Good luck to Torrie as she continues to compete on the reality series, it's great to see former divas outlasting the likes of self-proclaimed divas like Heidi Montag...

ECW Star Tony Atlas Returns Home

The Roanoke Times featured a front page photo and story about WWE legendary superstar, ECW's Tony Atlas. Atlas (real name: Tony White) currently serves as the manager for ECW superstar Mark Henry, "The World's Strongest Man". Last week on ECW, Atlas saw himself back in the wrestling ring as he went toe-to-toe with the high-flying Evan Bourne. On Tuesday night's ECW, Atlas was at ringside, giving support and morale for Henry as Mark finally defeated Evan Bourne with the World's Strongest Slam.

It was a homecoming for Atlas as he returned to Roanoke where grew up in Clifton Forge, VA, attending Patrick Henry high school back in the 1970's. He saw familiar faces along the way as he did a media tour prior to the live WWE event from Roanoke Tuesday night. Tony's trip included a radio show for WSLC, an interview (alongside Henry) with Natasha Ryan of WDBJ Channel 7 news, eating a plate full of ribs at Blues BBQ Company, and working out at the local Golds Gym in Roanoke. Atlas wrapped it up with the ECW event televised Tuesday night.

Atlas is enjoying recent success but according to the article on him and his history, Atlas fell from glory. His story is almost similar to that of The Wrestler movie. He was prominent in WWE back in the days when things were much different and he once held the Mr. USA Bodybuilding title. According to the Times' article, other wrestlers actually helped give him cortisone injections and re-set bones/joints. Atlas fell victim to drugs and became homeless, then was taken in by a woman who helped him on the road to recovery. He married her and they've been together for 20 some years now. Tony's financial situation is also much improved, as he was doing gigs in high school gyms and serving as a part-time personal trainer. A call from the WWE let him know he was being inducted into the Hall of Fame, and eventually he signed a new talent contract with the company, giving him his current manager role. Atlas plans to buy his first house now that he's making some decent coin.

You can check out the full article "Wrestler pins success" at Roanoke Times website along with a photo slideshow and video footage of Tony Atlas' visit back to his home of Roanoke, Virginia.

MVP appears on The View

On last Friday's WWE Smackdown, wrestler Montell Vontavius Porter (MVP) was accompanied to the ring and cheered on by Sherri Shepherd of The View. Sherri got a tour of Smackdown and donned a Ric Flair-esque robe to escort MVP to the ring. Not only was Sherri able to provide MVP with moral support in his title US Championship match against Dolph Ziggler, but she also got into it with Ziggler on the outside and apron. After a brief argument Sherri slapped Ziggler from the apron, allowing MVP to take control of things and hit the Playmaker to win it, retaining his United States Title.

On Tuesday's episode of The View, Sherri Shepherd showed her tour and the time she spent hanging out with MVP at WWE in Bridgeport, CT prior to Smackdown last Friday. Hornswoggle was on hand to escort Sherri to the ring while MVP got into ring attire and headed to the arena. On Sherri & Hornswoggle's way backstage to the ring, Great Khali and Ranjin Singh also showed up, as did Santina Marella, Cryme Tyme who did a special View rap chant with Sherri. Sherri finally joined MVP in the ring to try some moves out, including a celebratory kiss. Highlights were shown of Sherri showing up at MSG for Smackdown on Friday. Sherri put on the Flair style robe and joined MVP at ringside, helping him win the match against Ziggler when she slapped him from the apron. Afterwards, Sherri told MVP she needs to bring him on The View for everyone to meet.

MVP joined Sherri, Elizabeth, Joy, Whoopie and Barbara Walters on The View. MVP told the crew never to upset Sherri because he was more concerned about what she was going to do to Dolph Ziggler than him. MVP also discussed how women play a part in running WWE and also in viewing it. He talked about Linda McMahon & Stephanie McMahon playing a part in the company. MVP made a statement that 40% of their viewers are females. Sherri suggested fans tune in to Smackdown and Raw to check out all the WWE action.

John Cena is currently making the rounds to promote his new movie "12 Rounds". Tuesday's schedule included an appearance on G4's "Attack of the Show" and Jimmy Fallon's Late Night Show on NBC.

On "Attack of the Show", Cena gave insight into just how hectic it was for him to shoot his scenes for "12 Rounds" while still living up to his wrestling commitments. Cena said he'd be filming Monday through Friday, do WWE shows on the weekends. On Mondays for Raw, Cena said he would film for 12 Rounds from 6AM until about 4PM or so then board a chartered jet to fly to wherever Raw was being done. Cena mentioned he would sometimes not arrive to Raw until 9:45PM EST, but still was part of the show. Now that's commitment. Cena discusses how he was inspired to do action films by previous action stars like Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Cena also mentioned he wants to do more movies and is crossing his fingers for a possible new movie project in May. Wednesday's episode of "Attack of the Show" on G4 at 7PM EST will feature a behind the scenes look at "12 Rounds" with Cena.

On Jimmy Fallon's show, Cena spoke about heading into Wrestlemania 25, and just completing the 826th episode of Monday Night Raw. A clip waas shown from the movie "12 Rounds" which featured Cena trying to stop a runaway trolley as it went down the street out of control. They also had a series of comedy sketches displaying John Cena in different fake movie roles including "Uncle Babysitter" and "inCarcerated" where Cena played the role of a car. John Cena's Tonight Show Appearance

After being bumped from last Thursday's show by president Obama, John Cena appeared on Monday night's Tonight Show with Jay Leno, discussing multiple topics including how he got into wrestling and movies. Apparently, Cena first moved out to California from West Newbury, Massachussetts because his father said he'd never make it out in Cali. Cena basically said he made the move to spite his father and prove him wrong. Once he got out to California with just $500, Cena said he worked at Gold's Gym daily from 4 Am to Midnight and slept in his 1990 Lincoln Continental out in the parking lot. Cena said by sheer luck someone had come by the gym and suggested Cena get into pro wrestling, so Cena maxed his credit cards out and realized this is what he wanted to do.

Cena said his progression into acting and movies came as a natural move from the pro wrestling business. Cena made the announcement he's getting married to a girl he's known since high school who's been through everything with him.

A clip was shown from "12 Rounds" which featured Cena's character on a phone call with the villain from the movie. As Cena's character left the house looking around to see if the villain was in the vicinity his home burst into an explosion sending Cena back into a nearby car.

Video footage of Cena's interview should be available soon over at The official Jay Leno Tonight Show website.

MF: So what do you say to all the haters out there who say, 'John Cena is so jacked, he must be on something'?
[Laughs] That's a question that'll always be there. I tell people to train with me for a week, just a week. I'm the guy who'll drive 250 miles tonight and be at the gym tomorrow at 10 a.m., when people are still sleeping in. I'm the guy who'll fly to Australia and find a gym. Fly back and first thing I do off the plane is work out before I shower or eat. Run with me for a week and if you still don't believe me, run with me for TWO weeks. I've made a living out of working hard.
