RIP to Bam Bam Bigelow..

A little late with this post but let me express deep condolences to all of wrestling and the family, friends and fans of Scott Charles Bigelow aka Bam Bam Bigelow. A ring legend who entertained many over the years, fighting even NFL player Lawrence Taylor at Wrestlemania, as well as competing in many dangerous, physically challenging hardcore and other matches.

The following excerpt is from the Montgomery Advertiser and contains some other news including the upcoming 6 man over the top match at Smackdown and recent WWE wrestler releases:

"PILEDRIVER: 'Beast from the East' Bam Bam Bigelow passes away at 45

By Byron Robinson
Montgomery Advertiser

Scott Charles Bigelow, known by fans as Bam Bam Bigelow, was found dead in his home in Pasco County, Fla., on Friday at the age of 45.

Cause of death is unknown and the Pasco-Pinellas Counties medical examiner will perform an autopsy, results of which aren't expected for a couple of weeks.

The "Beast from the East" was known for having the agility of a cruiserweight, considering his 6-foot-3, 360-pound frame.

Through his 20-year career, Bigelow held the ECW world and TV championships and a World Championship Wrestling tag team title.

Probably the most mainstream attention he received was when he wrestled NFL great Lawrence Taylor at World Wrestling Entertainment's WrestleMania XI in 1995.

Smackdown, ECW in Mobile: WWE will hold a Smackdown TV taping and an ECW broadcast at the Mobile Civic Center on Tuesday. Bell time is at 7:30 p.m.

With the Royal Rumble being just a week away, one of the featured attractions for the Smackdown taping is a six-man over-the-top challenge. The participants competing in the challenge include Chris Benoit, Finlay, The Miz, King Booker, Kane and MVP.
*
Getting cut: The WWE has released a number of stars the last few days. Wrestlers who have been released include Sylvester Terkay, Jazz, Rodney Mack, Tony Mamaluke, The Bashams, Al Snow, Tatanka, The Gymini, Gangrel, and developmental talent Seth Skyfire, Jack Bull and Ryan Reeves."

Again, RIP to Scott Charles Bigelow..
