Smackdown 400th Episode Recap: 4.20.07
A recap of the monumental 400th Episode of Smackdown, Milan, Italy:
Finlay vs. Batista - Smackdown kicked off with a matchup to prepare the former champ for his "Last Man Standing" match vs Undertaker at Backlash. The two attempted to grapple early on with Batista shoving Finlay down to the mat. Batista locked in an early hold on Finlay's hand and then used an armdrag takedown. Batista isolated Finlay in the corner until the ref broke things up. Finlay able to forearm and uppercut Finlay down to the mat, then locked a hold on Batista's neck. At one point Finlay motioned that he had something in his eye. The ref motioned to Batista to back off, and Finlay managed to throw the Animal out of the ring when he wasn't expecting it. Out of the ring, Batista grabbed Finlay and kicked him down. Back in ring, Batista continued to hammer away at the Irishman in the corner, then center ring. Batista able to pick up Finlay and seat him on the ropes, then shoved Finlay backwards out of the ring, as Smackdown headed to break.
Back to the match, Batista was smashing Finlay's head off the crowd barricade, then the side apron. Just then Mr. Kennedy ran down to the ring and attacked Batista from behind. Finlay and Kennedy proceeded to assault Batista in the ring, as more refs ran in to try to pull them away. Kennedy DDT'd Batista and Finlay then hoisted Batista on his shoulders to slam him down. Kennedy and Finlay joked form the ramp as the fallen Batista was attended to by referees in ring.

Jillian got into the ring with microphone and showed the crowd footage of Ashley's injury last week. Jillian told the crowd she had prepared a special song for all of her Italian fans. Jillian began singing an Italian song in her usual tone deaf and screeching voice, as fans booed her wildly. Just then Michelle McCool emerged from backstage and walked down to the ring. Jillian told her hse wasnt done yet to go back, but Michelle grabbed the mic. Michelle told Jillian in Italian that she was horrible. An enraged Jillian attacked Michelle, but Michelle battled back and ended up kicking Jillian out of the ring, waving her finger at Jillian not to mess with her.
Benoit & The Hardys vs. Chavo Guerrero, Gregory Helms & MVP - Early on Chavo able to drop Benoit to the mat and tag in MVP, who was thrown to the ropes, MVP quickly tagged in Gregory Helms who came in for the save. Helms attacked Benoit for a bit until Matt Hardy tagged in. Hardy and Helms battled briefly until Jeff tagged in and took the fight to Helms and Chavo. Hardy was whipped to the corner by Helms. Hardy went to run up the corner and flip back at Helms, but Helms dodged it causing Jeff to fall. With MVP in ring he began to aggressively assault Jeff. MVP brought Jeff to the corner and Chavo came in to continue the attack. Hardy began to battle back and ran off the ropes, but Chavo dropkicked him back down, then held Hardy over his knee for Helms to drop an elbow on. Helms went for the pin but Matt Hardy came in to save. MVP came back in and began to punch away at Hardy. MVP continued to keep Hardy away from his teammates, then ran over to attack Benoit, but Benoit hit back. This allowed Hardy momentum to get back over and tag in Benoit, who began to rock the ring, dropping all of his opponents down. Benoit landed a triple German Suplex on Helms, and then signalled for a crossface, until Chavo attacked from behind. Matt and Jeff finished the match off with a Twist of Fate and Side Effect. Benoit then climbed the corner rope to do a flying headbutt, as MVP tried to attack him. Benoit shoved MVP off the apron then landed the headbutt on a fallen Helms. Benoit slapped a Sharpshooter in on Helms, as MVP ran into the ring at Benoit. Benoit ducked and was able to use his shoulder to toss MVP back. Helms then tapped out giving the Hardy's & Benoit a tag victory!
Deuce & Domino vs Kendrick & London - Tag team title match. Early on Deuce took it at Kendrick, but Kendrick able to start high flying at his opponent and tag in London. London flew off the corner rope and landed on Deuce. With Kendrick back in ring he went off the ropes at Deuce, but Domino came onto the side apron and kicked Kendrick in the back. London ran over and dropkicked Domino off the apron, then attempted to flip over the ropes onto him. Domino moved as London crashed to the outside floor. In ring, Domino in to attack Kendrick. Trainers and a wwe doctor came over to look at London who was motionless outside the ring. Inside the ring Deuce and Domino continued to "mug" Kendrick. Domino locked a headlock on Kendrick, who eventually got to his feet. Despite a high flying attack attempt, Domino slammed his opponent back down. Deuce tagged back in and continued to hammer away at Kendrick and locked a strong hold on his neck/head. London remained outside the ring, as Kendrick tried his best to battle insurmountable odds against the strong new tagteam. Kendrick kept tryin to gain momentum but Deuce and Domino's strength was too much for him. Eventually, Kendrick and Deuce knocked each other down. Kendrick crawled to his corner to tag, then realized his partner was missing. Deuce ran over and kicked him then drug him back to his corner. Domino held Kendrick in a bearhold as Deuce ran over with a kick to the face of Kendrick. Kendrick layed out cold in the ring for a pinfall victory. Deuce and Domino are the new tag team champs! Kendrick went outside the ring with the wwe officials to check on his fallen partner as the new Tag Champs celebrated up the ramp with Cherry.
A replay was showed of Santino Morella's unlikely Intercontinental Title win vs Umaga at RAW (thanks to Bobby Lashley showing up). Cole and JBL also ran down the upcoming WWE Backlash Pay Per View Matchups: Fourway WWE Title Match (Cena vs HBK vs Edge vs Orton). Tag Title Match - Hardys vs Cade & Murdoch, Lashley vs. Vince & Shane McMahon and Umaga (3 on 1 Handicap Match for ECW Title). Last Man Standing World Heavyweight Title Match - Batista vs. Undertaker

Regal & Taylor vs Kane (Handicapped Match) - Taylor & Regal waited in ring as the monstrous Kane emerged from backstage to come attack the 2 foes. Early on Regal tried to go at Kane, but Kane grabbed his arm and tossed him down the mat. Kane tried to isolate Taylor in the corner and punched him down. Kane tossed out of the ring but got back in as Taylor and Regal tried to doubleteam their huge foe. Taylor punching away at Kane in the corner of the ring. Ref backed Regal away, and as Regal went back at Kane, Kane righthanded him down. Regal able to tag Taylor back in who started choking away at the monster corner of the ring. Kane back on his feet as Taylor put a headlock on him. Kane able to pick Taylor up and slam him down, Taylor tagged Regal back in. Regal started kicking Kanes head in the corner of the ring despite ref protests. Regal with a knee to the back of Kane's head. Despite the onslaught attack, Kane was able to overcome the odd for the victory.
Backstage, Regal and Taylor were yelling at Teddy Long to protect them from Kane's attacks. Teddy Long said next week they will be going against Kane and his partner, the Boogeyman in a match. Kristal came into Teddy's office with a bunch of shopping bags bragging to Teddy about everything she bought in Italy. Teddy asked Kristal to show him what she got. Kristal pulled out a purse, and Teddy said it looks like she maxed out his credit. Teddy told Kirstal having her there in Milan was one of the happiest times in his life. The two then locked lips and looked at each other.
Main Event: Mr. Kennedy vs the Undertaker (non title match) - Kennedy took his mic from above the ring and bragged to the crowd about his briefcase, saying it didnt matter what the fans called him. Kennedy proclaimed himself to the fans in his usually cocky voice yelling "Kennedy" from the corner of the ring, as Smackdown went to break.
Undertaker arrived to the ring in a dark arena with smoke and cameras flashing, with Mr Kennedy awaiting his arrival. Undertaker dominated most of the match, and even went "Old School" on Kennedy walking the ropes to jump down and hit him. At one point in the match, the Undertaker made a mistake jumping for Mr. Kennedy & Undertaker got caught up on the ropes/turnbuckle allowing Mr Kennedy the opportunity to take over the match. Undertaker was able to throw Mr. Kennedy out of ring and with Mr. Kennedy dazed the Deadman chokeslammed him. From backstage, Finlay rushed down into the ring, and the ref called for the bell, for a DQ. Finlay & Mr. Kennedy then started to assault the Undertaker. Finlay used the shalalee to take down Undertaker and then Kennedy knocked out Undertaker with the briefcase. Finlay and Kennedy retreated out of the ring and up the ramp as Taker layed in the ring.
