Predicting Cyber Sunday's Card

With Cyber Sunday coming October 28th, here's a look at what matches we will most likely see based on the popular vote at WWE.com.

1) Randy Orton vs. Shawn Michaels - In Orton's 1st title defense since No Mercy he will face Shawn Michaels. HBK is just returning but he's easily the fan favorite ahead of Jeff Hardy or Mr. Kennedy. It would be great to see one of the other 2 get the championship match, but most likely HBK gets the nod and can go for revenge on the man who put him out of action.

2)Undertaker vs. Batista with Special ref: Stone Cold Steve Austin - Another no brainer based on major popularity, Austin is a favorite at Pay Per Views and other live events. Not to say Mick Foley isn't popular, but nowhere near the level of Austin. Fans will vote Stone Cold in easily off the popularity of his recent DVD release and his major popularity as a WWE star.

3)CM Punk vs. John Morrison - This one's toughest to decide amongst the 3 title matches, because the 3 opponents aren't really fan favorites. Fans may vote for Punk to get another crack at Big Daddy V. In fact, I wouldn't mind it myself as a main event, because seeing the champ tough it out versus a bigger, monster-type opponent is always fun. However, Morrison will probably win this vote and some have rumored he will win back his former ECW title here.

4) Umaga vs. Triple H (Steel Cage)
- Fans seem to enjoy the classic cage match and will put the Samoan Bulldozer and The Game inside the structure for Cyber Sunday. First Blood match wouldn't be surprising, but generally fans enjoy the cage match as a longtime classic WWF/WWE match type.

5) Rey Mysterio vs. Finlay (Stretcher Match) - A tough one to pick, but I don't see Shaleleigh on a Pole winning this vote. Fans want to see Finlay taken out on a stretcher maybe after what he did to Rey at No Mercy.

6)MVP vs. Matt Hardy (Mixed Martial Arts) - Going out on a limb for this final pick, thinking fans may decide it would be interesting to see a MMA match at a Pay Per View. WWE had rumors of maybe getting involved in the whole MMA scene. Traditional wrestling match wouldn't surprise me here, but MMA could prove interesting. On a side not it's strange why MVP isn't defending the title yet, as this could make his title run as US Champ look weaker if he never defends it.

It also seems with the 3 championship matches, WWE is not taking any risks. WWE is having fans choose opponents or a referee instead of the match types for the title matches. They probably don't want more of their top stars getting injured in matches involving weapons or stipulations. I'll have the predicted winners of each match here at the WWE Characters Blog prior to the big Pay Per View!
