Will Daniel Bryan Heel Turn in 2012 Bring Future Success as a Face?

Daniel Bryan is in an interesting position right now with his character on Smackdown.  He currently is considered the top heel on the show, but is over with the fans.  The chants of "YES!" and "We want Bryan!" among others, continue to echo through arenas, even as he insults his ex-girlfriend AJ, and his future opponent Sheamus.

He'll meet Sheamus, the World Heavyweight Champion, at the upcoming Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View.  These two will go at it in a 2 out of 3 Falls match, with the winner taking the WWE championship belt away from the PPV event.  Bryan vowed on the latest edition of Smackdown that there's no way Sheamus can get another "fluke" win.  Basically, Bryan believes that without AJ there to distract him (even though he asked her for the pre-match kiss), he'll have no problems defeating The Celtic Warrior.

The interesting point to remember here is that Sheamus was the heel at one time in his career, winning the WWE title after shoving John Cena off a corner and through a table.  Back in those days, Sheamus was the guy looking for the easy way out.  When Daniel Bryan was a face, he was celebrated for his technical wrestling skills, and still is despite the latest heel position he holds.

The good news for Bryan is that many predecessors before him went from heel to over with the fans and were able to become a face "with attitude."  The best examples include the late Macho Man Randy Savage, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and John Cena.  All of them maintained personalities that the fans embraced, despite the fact WWE set them up as heels.  Then at just the right time, they made the turn and became legends.

Daniel Bryan certainly has the ability to do that.  His move has been renamed the "Yes Lock," which some love and some hate.  Despite the name of the move, it's got the potential to keep those "YES" chants coming, as does the official Daniel Bryan Yes t-shirt.  Time will tell if Bryan will shift to face and win back a major championship, without having to use a briefcase to do it.  CM Punk is the most recent example of someone to do that, and gain popularity with the fans, so it's only natural that another Ring of Honor wrestler does the same.

Raw Results 06/06/11

Raw Results from Richmond, VA:

The show opened with R-Truth coming to the ring with Stone Cold and Mr McMahon already there from the Tough Enough finale. Truth was dressed like a Confederate Soldier to make his big apology and then started talking about conspiracies to Mr. McMahon. The Miz came out to interrupt demanding a championship match, then Alex Riley came out to interrupt him. Finally, John Cena came out to shed some light on them all and said it seems Truth has his championship match at Capitol Punishment PPV.

The Raw GM sent an email but before Cole could read it, Vince told him to shut up. Instead, Vince handled the match booking and made a main event of Alex Riley & John Cena vs Miz and R-Truth with Austin as special referee.

Santino Marella vs. Michael McGillicutty

Vladimir Kozlov and David Otunga were ringside to support their tag partners. At one point in the match, the ref was distracted with Kozlov outside the ring. McGill was outside the ring and yanked Santino against the ropes to gain an edge. However, in the ring when he rushed at Santino, Santino avoided his move, then wound up and hit The Cobra.

Winner: Santino Marella wins via pinfall over Michael McGillicutty.

Cole and Lawler showed a replay of Andy being announced WWE Tough Enough winner earlier in the night.

Kelly Kelly & Beth Phoenix vs The Bella Twins

In the closing moments, Beth had a pinfall on one of the Bellas after a slingshot suplex against the top rope. The other twin rushed in to break it up, prompting Kelly to rush in and bulldog her down. Kelly and the non-legal Bella ended up on the outside. In the ring, the legal Bella rushed at Beth who avoided her attack and grabbed her then hoisted her up for the Glam Slam.

Winners: Beth Phoenix & Kelly Kelly win via pinfall over The Bella Twins.

WWE returned backstage with Tough Enough trainers Trish Stratus and Booker T. Booker said he wanted to show Trish how to do a Trisharooney move. Trish got down on one knee as Booker instructed him how to do it. Jack Swagger came in to interrupt and ended up challenging Booker to a match. Booker accepted then told Swagger to back up off him.

Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk

Punk arrived out to the stage with Mason Ryan of New Nexus. Punk sat down and Ryan handed him the mic. Punk said he's beaten Mysterio like 600 times now, and he'll do it again tonight.

In the close of this one, Rey set up Punk by dropkicking him against the ropes. He rushed over for a 619 with Mason Ryan getting on the apron to prevent it. Punk grabbed Rey who did a whirling counter to knock Ryan off the apron, then DDT Punk down. He followed up with his diving splash off the corner for the win.

Winner: Rey Mysterio wins via pinfall over CM Punk.

Cole and Lawler confirmed that R-Truth will face John Cena for the WWE Championship in 2 weeks at Capitol Punishment. Lawler proposed the silly idea of an Obama press conference for the WWE PPV, and they cut to another fake one. This time, R-Truth was one of the media members, asking the president about a conspiracy theory. It ended with talk of being on a boat and R-Truth getting pushed overboard by the president.

John Cena and Alex Riley spoke backstage with Cena telling him he'd be his tag partner tonight but he better not try anything.

Alberto Del Rio arrived out in another fancy car to talk to the WWE Raw audience. They showed footage once again of Big Show getting hit by Del Rio's car weeks ago. Del Rio said he wanted to apologize to Big Show and invited him out. Show didn't reveal himself, probably due to injury rehab. Suddenly, his theme music went off and Big Show came out. Actually it was Ricardo Rodriguez dressed up like him and on crutches. He pretended to eat a hot dog and then brought himself to the ring slowly.

Del Rio pretended to have a conversation with Big Show, who kept letting out yelling sounds and Del Rio translated. Del Rio said he wouldn't settle with him on the charges, and said Big Show "don't make me your enemy, because if you do, you will get hurt." He reminded him "Bad things happen to bad people." Rodriguez revealed himself by tearing off the bald wig and moustache. Rodriguez let out several Alberto Del Rio's to end the in-ring segment.

Michael Cole had a sneak peek at "controlled frenzy" as they showed highlights of US Champion Kofi Kingston in a promotional video.

Kofi Kingston vs Zack Ryder

Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero joined Cole and Lawler for commentary. Ziggler said he was going to send out tweets during the match. Late in the contest, Kofi hit the double boom leg drop on Ryder. Moments later he hit Trouble in Paradise kick to KO Ryder for a pinfall win. Ziggler said he deserves a championship shot against Kofi.

Winner: Kofi Kingston wins via pinfall over Zack Ryder.

Backstage, R-Truth was having a conversation with himself when The Miz walked up to him trying to talk strategy.

They showed Tough Enough trainer, Booker T, walkin backstage on the way out for his first WWE match in four years.

When Raw returned, Cole said the Raw GM gave word during break that Alex Riley will face off against The Miz at Capitol Punishment on June 19, 2011.

Booker T vs Jack Swagger

Swagger avoided a scissor kick then took control against Booker inside and outside the ring. Booker finally hit a scissors kick near the ropes causing Swagger to roll out of the ring. Swagger didn't get back in to beat the countout, wanting no more of Booker, giving Booker the win.

Post-match, Evan Bourne rushed down to knock Swagger down on the ramp. Bourne ran into the ring with Swagger chasing, but Booker kicked him down. BOoker followed with his scissor kick finisher, then Bourne did the Air Bourne. With Swagger out of the ring, they did a double spin-a-rooney.

Winner: Booker T wins due to countout of Jack Swagger.

Alex Riley & John Cena vs The Miz & R-Truth

Stone Cold arrived out to officiate the match. The Miz was introduced next followed by R-Truth without music, then Alex Riley and John Cena last.

In the close of this one, R-Truth tried to go at Cena with a chair, but swung and missed. Cena dropkicked him down with the chair. Austin took the chair out of the ring as Miz and Cena collided with a double takedown to the mat. Riley grabbed the MITB briefcase from the outside and slipped in the ring. He faked like he was going to smash Cena with it, then rushed Miz and smashed him. Austin stepped up to kick Miz in the gut, the hit a Stone Cold Stunner. Cena followed with the Attitude Adjustment for the win.

Post-match, Michael Cole kept whining about Austin's interference as referee. He got an email from the Raw GM which said the referee blatantly interfered so the winners are The Miz and R-Truth. Another email came saying that next week Stone Cold will be the special guest General Manager for next week's 3-hour Raw All-Star show.

Austin left the ring and grabbed Cole's laptop from the podium then threw it down. He knocked the podium over, then grabbed Cole and punched him before shoving him into the ring. Cole got a beer bath and then a Stone Cold Stunner. Cena followed suit and gave an Attitude Adjustment. Cena and Austin celebrated with a beer bash in the ring to close out Raw.

Winners: The Miz and R-Truth win due to disqualification of John Cena and Alex Riley.

Raw Preview 04/11/11

Tonight's Raw may feature more of the follow-up from Wrestlemania 27. On last week's show fans were treated to an appearance from Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin, the special referee from the Michael Cole vs Jerry Lawler match, introduced his Tough Enough cast to the WWE Universe. However, an interruption from The Miz and Alex Riley lead to a Stone Cold Stunner for Riley and eventually a beer bath for Michael Cole in the "Cole Mine." Will Austin show up again on tonight's Raw? What will The Miz have to say about his WWE Championship and the next title defense?

Last week also saw a major revelation announced as John Cena called out The Rock on Raw. Cena wanted an explanation for Rock costing him the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 27. Cena certainly got one, and when all was said and done, he also had a match agreed upon. It will be John Cena vs The Rock at Wrestlemania 28 in Miami for April 1, 2012. With that now scheduled, will Cena continue to focus on his pursuit of the WWE Championship, or will his concentration be aimed at "The Great One?"

Raw also witnessed the debut of the exciting new superstar, Sin Cara. This lucha libre made his presence known when he burst onto the scene and saved Daniel Bryan from Sheamus' attack. Later in the week, Sin Cara showed up on Smackdown as well, to attack Jack Swagger. It's unknown right now which roster this new superstar will become part of, but it's clear whichever one he goes to will acquire a major talent. Will Sin Cara show up again on tonight's episode of Raw? Who will he target next?

Sunday, April 3rd has finally arrived, giving way to the biggest Pay-Per-View of the year, Wrestlemania 27! This huge event takes place in Atlanta, Georgia, with many of the legendary superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment grappling in the ring over championships, feuds and recent grudges. This blog post will bring live updated Wrestlemania 27 results for the huge event starting at 7PM EST on Sunday night.

"Jersey Shore" star Snooki will be involved in a mixed tag match to make her pro wrestling in-ring debut. Meanwhile, Trish Stratus, The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin will all lend their superstar status to the event along with the likes of John Cena, The Undertaker, Triple H, Rey Mysterio, Edge and Big Show.

Justin Roberts just introduced Keri Hilson to sing "America the Beautiful" to start off the show. A video package is shown of the Georgia Dome, and then The Rock is introduced as the official host of Wrestlemania 27. Rock headed to the ring to pose for the applauding fans.

The Rock did an intro speech to get the crowd involved asking if they can feel, taste and smell the energy tonight for Wrestlemania. A "Cena Sucks" chant started up but was overtaken by a "Rocky" chant. Rock said one superstar in back is deciding which rainbow fruity T-shirt to wear tonight.

Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio
World Heavyweight Championship

Del Rio arrived out for the opening contest. Brodus Clay was also on hand, and then Christian arrived out to be in Edge's corner for the huge title match. Lawler and Matthews were shown on camera, and then the shot went over to Michael Cole in his Cole Miner clear protective box. He sent it to the Spanish announcers for a bit of talk right before Edge was introduced.

Del Rio was in control early in the match, working on Edge's arm continually. Moments later Edge flung himself over the top rope out onto Del Rio to start a countout from the ref. Ricardo Rodriguez, Clay and Christian were all nearby watching. Edge escaped a near Cross Armbreaker to slam Del Rio to the mat for a near fall. Moments later, Del Rio caught Edge with the Cross Armbreaker. Edge managed to use his legs to get over to the bottom rope and break it though.

Christian and Brodus Clay got into it on the outside, with Del Rio able to dropkick Christian down from in the ring. Clay grabbed Christian and slammed him backwards to take him out. Meanwhile, Edge got a near fall on Del Rio. Right after he dropped Del Rio, then got the crazed look in his eyes for The Spear. Del Rio avoided it and whipped Edge to the corner. The ref got distracted by Del Rio in the ring and Ricardo on the outside allowing Clay to grab Edge's arm and smash it against the ringpost. Del Rio got the Cross Armbreaker on, but once again Edge reversed it and turned it into a pinfall.

Later still, Edge put a submission on Del Rio in the ring but Alberto refused to tap out. Brodus Clay was pounding the mat to cheer on Del Rio. Christian was back up and got on the apron to kick Clay and knock him off.

Back in the ring, Del Rio escaped Edge's submission, but Edge went to the corner. He saw Del Rio get up across the ring and charged at him, connecting on the Spear. Edge wins and retains the World Championship!

Post-match, Edge celebrated with the championship belt and walked up the ramp near Del Rio's fancy car. He touched it a bit, contemplating something. Del Rio watched from ringside as Edge placed the championship belt on the hood, then ran and pretended he was going to kick it. Edge stopped then began to kick it anyways. He got up on the roof and did an elbow drop. Del Rio walked up the ramp to beg Edge to stop. Christian was there as well with a tire iron and a lead pipe. He handed one of the objects to Edge and the two former tag partners proceeded to destroy the vintage Rolls Royce. Cole whined that Edge should be arrested for all that.

Winner: Edge wins via pinfall over Alberto Del Rio to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes

Rhodes arrived out first wearing a black hooded jacket and his clear face mask. Cole, Matthews & Lawler reviewed all of the events that transpired from Rhodes getting injured by Mysterio in January, and then Rhodes taking his revenge on Smackdown. Rey Mysterio arrived out dressed in a Captain America costume, red, white and blue. Cole called it a big joke for Mysterio, but it's not a big joke for Rhodes.

The two masked men traded early offense, with Rey trying for a headscissors, but Rhodes was able to block it and place Rey on the top rope. He turned the move into the Alabama Slam on Rey to the amazement of the crowd. A "let's go Cody" chant was heard in the background. Rhodes tried to pull off Rey's guarded knee brace.

Rhodes continued to wisely counter Rey's move with another near fall in the ring. Cole said Rey's just prolonging the punishment from Rhodes. The commentators said Rey hadn't had much offense in the match, but he started a comeback with a near fall.

Rey set up Cody for the 619, but Rhodes caught Rey by his legs then set up a slingshot into the middle rope. He had the nearfall on Rey right after. Moments later in the match, Rey managed to expose Cody's face with the mask off. Rey connected on 619 right after that to knock Rhodes onto the mat. He went to the top rope for the diving headbutt. Cody countered it with his knees and kicked Rey against the ropes. Rey responded by kicking Rhodes in the face.

Later still, Mysterio put Rhodes clear mask on to use it as a weapon. Rey jumped off the corner with his diving headbutt and got the pin. However, Rhodes' legs were under the ring. Rhodes went to the outside with Rey recovering in the ring. Rhodes picked up Rey's knee brace which had fallen out of the ring. He clocked Mysterio in the face with it as Rey tried to dive through the ropes at him. Rey was hanging there as Rhodes got in the ring and grabbed Mysterio to hit Cross Rhodes for the win.

Winner: Cody Rhodes wins via pinfall over Rey Mysterio.

Rapper Snoop Dogg was backstage with Smackdown GM Theodore Long. They slapped hands and Snoop asked for some talent to help him out. Teddy said he's lined up some superstars to audition for him. They sat down at a table and Snoop said "let the dogs loose." William Regal was out first to do a rap about "Straight Outta Blackpool." Snoop said "Next" and Great Khali did a "Grease" routine with Beth Phoenix for "Summer Lovin." Zack Ryder did a song about getting down on Friday, when Roddy Piper came out and smashed him with an object from behind.

Chris Masters and Yoshi Tatsu did "We Will Rock You" with Masters moving his chest in unison with the music. Hornswoggle came out dressed in all black with a ball cap. Snoop said he thinks they have a winner. Teddy told Snoop that Hornswoggle can't talk or anything. Snoop asked if that's true and Horney tried to talk but couldn't. Snoop and Teddy left a dejected Hornswoggle backstage. After they left he put on some shades and kicked a rap with Bella Twins arriving out to dance in the background.

Eight-Man Tag Team Match

This match features Big Show, Kane, Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov teaming up to take on the four members of The Corre: Wade Barrett, Ezekiel Jackson, Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater.

Kofi Kingston was put in the match to replace Vladimir Kozlov. Kozlov was attacked during Wrestlemania Axxess. Late in the match, Kofi was able to take out two Corre members including Ezekiel Jackson. Santino scored The Cobra punch and then the legal man, Big Show, hit a KO punch on Slater for the pinfall win. Kofi came in the ring to celebrate with Kane, Show and Santino.

Winners: Kofi Kingston, Kane, Big Show and Santino Marella win via pinfall over The Corre.

The Rock talked to WWE Divas Champion Eve Torres backstage saying how much he loves the divas. Rock talked about how he creates electrifying, magical moments just with a snap of his fingers. Rock said he'll create one of those moments with whoever comes around the corner next. Eve told him it looks like his dream has come true. Rock said he loves the divas, this is a divasaurus. Mae Young showed up and said she wanted some of the People's Streudel. Rock asked Eve to escort Mae to her seat. Rock turned around and Mae slapped him in the backside before Eve took her away.

Rock said it couldn't have been anyone else coming around the corner, could it? Just then, Stone Cold Steve Austin showed up and the two stared in each others' eyes. Stone Cold said he was ready to kick some ass tonight, Rock said he's ready to bring it. They shook hands and kept a tough stare on one another.

Randy Orton vs. CM Punk

They showed a video package to buildup how Orton and Punk's feud has developed, starting two years prior because Orton Punt kicked Punk in the head backstage costing him the World title at a Pay-Per-View. Punk informed Orton he's waited a long time to get his revenge. However, over the past weeks, Orton defeated all of Punk's Nexus crew members, meaning that none of them can be present at ringside for tonight's match.

Punk worked on Orton's left left he injured not long ago with a stun gun on Raw. Punk managed to hit the running knee in the corner and continued his attack to punish Orton even more.

Orton fought out of a near GTS attempted from Punk. He tried for the RKO, but Punk countered it and hit a roundhouse kick to drop Orton for the near fall. Punk went to the corner and looked back at Orton. He climbed to the top rope and went for a high risk move, but Orton got up fast and took out his footing to crotch Punk on the corner.

Punk's attack on Orton's hurt leg continued, but Orton got some major momentum, including a late surge with the Scoop slam. He leapt onto Punk and pounded away with punches to the head. However, it was apparent that the left leg was still bothering Orton. He hit a huge lateral press for a near fall. Cole said it's amazing Orton's knee isn't giving out more and he's running on adrenaline mainly.

Punk managed to lock on the Anaconda Vice on Orton in the center of the ring. Cole noted Orton has a bad leg and can't use it to push away. Orton looked ready to tap but then rolled his weight towards the bottom rope to grab and break the hold.

With Punk on the apron, Orton ran him over and smashed Punk into the ringpost. Orton took Punk through the ropes for his patented DDT. He then dropped to the mat near the corner and pounded the mat, ready for the RKO, but got on his knees, then to his feet. He had that look on his face, then backed up for the Punt Kick. Orton started to run but then his leg gave out and Orton fell to the mat. Punk smirked as he saw Orton in pain on the mat and walked over. Orton was playing possum and went for the quick RKO, but Punk avoided it and got to the apron.

To close things out, Punk went for the springboard jump move off the side rope. Orton was able to hit the RKO from the air, surprising Punk and getting the huge win by pinfall!

Winner: Randy Orton wins via pinfall over CM Punk.

Mean Gene Okerlund was backstage with The Rock. The Rock said he thinks things will get real ugly tonight because Cena's #1 fan is coming to confront him. Okerlund said he's already there. Rock turned around to an off camera individual to say "of course it's you." The camera showed Pee Wee Herman who started doing the "You Can't See Me." Rock said he sees potential in Pee Wee and asked him if he'd rather be on Team Bring It or the Fruit Loop Troop. Rock showed Pee Wee what he'd look like as a Cena fan, and showed Okerlund decked out in Cena gear. Pee Wee said he looks like a dork. Okerlund walked off angry, and Pee Wee vowed to join Rock's team. He did the La-La-La-la if you smell what Pee Wee's cooking line to finish off the segment.

The Fink introduced the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame class: Abdullah The Butcher, Sunny, The Road Warriors (with Paul Ellering), Drew Carey, "Bullet" Bob Armstrong and Hacksaw Jim Duggan. The final intro belonged to the Showstopper, Mr. Wrestlemania, Shawn Michaels who got an all out introduction with new lights and effects.

Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole
Special Ref: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin

Booker T and Jim Ross were introduced to help call the auction for the match along with Josh Matthews since Lawler and Cole are obviously in the match. Cole got on the mic demanding attention as he came out in a goofy bright orange wrestling get up with knee braces and collegiate wrestling headgear. Cole started to taunt and make fun of JR for not being in shape since he took his job away. Cole said Lawler and JR are both overweight, overrated and over the hill. Cole kept hamming it up on the mic as he got into the ring and said after tonight he'll be proclaimed the new "Mr Wrestlemania."

Jack Swagger's music hit next to bring Swagger, Cole's trainer, to the ringside area. Swagger began doing pushups on the ramp, but was interrupted by the smashed glass breaking and Stone Cold's theme music. Stone Cold arrived out on his ATV and nearly ran over Swagger on the ramp. Austin circled the ring several times with Cole looking petrified. Cole rushed over and locked himself in the protective box, staying there as Austin posed in the ring. Finally, Lawler was given his introduction by Justin Roberts. This is Lawler's first ever Wrestlemania match of his 40-year career.


Cole did some warmup moves like jumping jacks in his protective box, standing on his table. Austin demanded Cole get in the ring and Cole said he wasn't ready yet. Austin called for the bell, so Lawler ran out of the ring. He headed off an attack by Swagger and knocked him down before going over towards Cole.

Cole pleaded with Lawler, saying he never meant what he said. Cole offered a handshake through his clear box. Lawler went for it and shook but wouldn't release Cole's hand. He started to yank Cole by the hand against the box, scrunching his face against it. Lawler then climbed over the side and began to bash Cole around inside the protective cage. The door swung open so Lawler pulled Cole out and tossed him into the podium before tossing Cole into the ring.

Austin checked on Cole in the ring, while Swagger rushed and smashed Lawler down on the outside to help out Cole. Cole recollected himself in the ring then hit a running baseball slide dropkick on Lawler. Swagger locked the Ankle Lock on Lawler outside the ring as Cole distracted Austin. Back in the ring, Cole stood on Lawler's hurt leg near the ropes as Swagger was there encouraging it.

Cole continued to stay in control, as he ran and did an attempted Swagger bomb on the corner. Cole jumped onto the corner and hit it, then pulled Lawler into the ring for the first near fall. Booker said his heart skipped a beat there. Cole continued to work on Lawler's hurt ankle and leg.

Cole had the AnkCole Lock on Lawler, but the Hall of Famer countered and kicked Cole to the corner. Lawler started to get serious momentum, attacking Cole in the corner. Swagger tossed in the white towel on behalf of Cole. Austin gave a look, then picked up the towel and wiped his sweat with it. He threw it back at Swagger. Swagger got in the ring to plead his case in Austin's face, but ended up getting hit by a Stone Cold Stunner followed by two middle finger taunts. Lawler waited for Cole to get up, asking if he wants to continue. Cole had his hands on Austin, then slapped his arms and pushed Stone Cold.

Austin shoved Cole and he got a right hand from King. Lawler kept punching away on Cole down on the mat. Lawler continued to stay in control as Austin watched in amusement. Lawler got on the corner, pointed to the Wrestlemania banner, then lowered his strap to drop off the corner with his driving punch. Austin went for the pinfall count and got to 2, but Lawler pulled Cole up smiling. Austin laughed it off. Lawler put an Ankle Lock on Cole and he immediately started tapping out frantically. Austin got down and played around a bit before finally calling for the bell.

Post-match, time for a beer bash. Austin and Lawler toasted, then Booker T got in the ring. He did the Spin-A-Rooni before Austin slapped hands with him, then caught a beer. He handed Booker the beer and toasted. They started to drink up but Booker got kicked in the gut then hit by the Stunner.

Cole and Swagger were up on the ramp as the lights flashed. The anonymous Raw GM sent an email. Josh Matthews read that the GM said the ref blatantly interfered in the match, meaning that Lawler is disqualified, meaning Michael Cole is the winner. Lawler was upset and grabbed Matthews, then tossed him in the ring. Matthews stood up and got kicked by Austin, then hit by the Stunner!

Winner: Michael Cole wins due to disqualification of Jerry Lawler due to Stone Cold Steve Austin's interference in the match.

The Undertaker vs. Triple H
No Holds Barred Match

They showed a lengthy highlight video package to build up Triple H and The Undertaker with The Streak on the line. After that, Justin Roberts introduced the No Holds Barred match. The lights dimmed and hard rock music kicked in with explosions and light effects. A scene of mountains and forrest was on the big screen up on the ramp as medieval knights with shields all arrived out. They all moved away to reveal Triple H dressed in medieval King of Kings costume. Lights went out again, and HHH was there as "Time to Play the Game" kicked in. This one's got classic written already!

Undertaker got an intro featuring his traditional bells tolling, but then the Johnny Cash "Ain't No Grave" music kicked in as smoke gave way to The Undertaker coming down the ramp. Triple H stared out at him and crouched down in the ring in preparation. Justin Roberts announced The Undertaker as he continued his long walk to the ring.

Early on, this one was ugly. The action spilled to the outside where Triple H tackled Undertaker through Michael Cole's clear protective cage, smashing it in the process! Taker got right back up and stared at Triple H in the ring, then got back in on fire. Both men hammered away at each other. Remember, this is a No DQ/No Countout situation with No Holds Barred.

Triple H continued his furious attack outside the ring as he whipped Taker into the crowd barrier, then removed the cover of the commentators table. HHH got up on the table and went for a Pedigree. Taker slipped out and tried for a Chokeslam. Instead, HHH countered and went for another Pedigree. Taker countered that to flip HHH off and to the floor hard. It took HHH some time to get up on the outside. No countouts but as HHH stood up, Taker ran across the ring and hit a suicide dive to take both guys out on the outside.

Undertaker charged at Triple H near the Spanish announcers table. HHH countered to hit a huge side suplex and smashed Taker through the table. Both guys stumbled around, but HHH fell down outside the ring as Taker stumbled in the ring. Jim Ross on commentary said some day the Streak will end, but is this the time? Just after, Taker hit a huge Chokeslam, but HHH barely kicked out of the pinfall.

Meanwhile, The Undertaker wielded a steel chair later on, smashing it against HHH's back. However, just a few moments later, Triple H hit The Pedigree. He had a near fall with Taker barely kicking out!

HHH went for a move on Taker in the corner, but Taker countered and hit The Last Ride for a near fall. After that, he signaled for the Cutthroat. He got HHH up and hit the Tombstone Piledriver. 1, 2...and HHH kicks out of that one, wow!

A frustrated Undertaker threw down the steel chair next to HHH's body. Taker picked up HHH on his shoulder, but HHH slid off then DDT'd Taker onto the steel chair. Both guys were layed out on the mat. Taker had his arm on HHH's body, but the ref didn't make any pinfall counts.

As they finally got up, HHH hit a second Pedigree on Taker. The near fall sent the crowd into a frenzy as Taker kicked out yet again. Triple H hit a third Pedigree, with Taker kicking out once again. Triple H smashed a steel chair repeatedly on Taker yelling "stay down!" Taker used all his strength to stand up, but HHH walked over and smashed him over the head with the chair. HHH fell to the ropes as Taker was flat on his back.

Triple H walked over and told Taker to stay down, then asked what is wrong with you. Taker grabbed him by the throat, but then stumbled back to the ropes. Undertaker looked ready to go still, but HHH signaled for Cutthroat. He picked up Taker and hit the Tombstone Piledriver on him. A pinfall ensued with Taker kicking out once again!

HHH grabbed the Sledgehammer from outside the ring and walked in. He said it's time, but Taker grabbed him and put the Hell's Gate submission on. Triple H dropped the Sledgehammer and struggled to get loose. Taker locked the hold though as HHH looked for a way out. The Game fought to his feet with the Hell's Gate locked in. HHH finally got his hand to the Sledgehammer and picked it up but then it fell out of his hand. He kept struggling but seemed to be fading. Finally HHH tapped against Taker's body to give in. The Streak is now at 19-0. The Johnny Cash music played as pyro went off and a big 19-0 was shown up on stage. Both guys were still laying in the ring as the music played on.

HHH got to the outside and finally after several WWE refs and officials checked him out, Taker rolled out under the ropes. HHH stopped at the bottom of the ramp to watch, holding his left arm. Taker fell to the floor. HHH walked over but the ref ordered him to walk away. Finally a cart drove down to ringside to load Taker onto a stretcher and take him away, clearly decimated from the big match!

Winner: The Undertaker wins via submission over Triple H in the No Holds Barred Match. The Streak extends to 19-0.

John Morrison, Trish Stratus & Snooki vs. Dolph Ziggler & Lay-Cool
Mixed Gender Tag Match

Vickie Guerrero arrived out to introduce Team LayCool and Dolph Ziggler. Next out was John Morrison, followed by Trish Stratus. This is her first Wrestlemania in five years. Final introduction was "Jersey Shore" star Snooki to the show's theme music.

Stratus and McCool in an early catfight, with Michelle gaining the upperhand. However as she got to the corner in a seated position, Stratus tried for her headscissors move. Michelle pulled her to the top and they punched each other. Both divas tumbled out to the floor. Stratus shoved Michelle into the barrier. Layla rushed over and got decked by Trish. As LayCool stood up, Trish dove off the apron onto them both. Trish continued the attack on McCool in the ring for near falls. Ziggler yanked Trish off the pin, but Morrison got in to take him out over the top rope.

The close saw Snooki get into the ring and do a side flip and backflip to hit Michelle in the corner. She finished with a moonsault flip over McCool and then a big splash on her for the pinfall. They showed the WWE Tough Enough contestants at ringside watching and cheering for Trish, Snooki and Morrison.

Winners: Snooki, Trish Stratus & John Morrison win via pinfall over Team LayCool and Dolph Ziggler.

John Cena vs. The Miz
WWE Championship

They showed an interesting video package to promote Miz before the main event WWE Championship match. The "Hate Me Now" song by Nas and Diddy played as they showed highlights of Miz from his career.

There was a huge white "AWESOME!" set up on stage. The Miz and Alex Riley came smashing through the letters. Miz hoisted up the WWE Championship as sparkling effects went off behind him and Riley. The backdrop was red carpet style with silouhette paparazzi and fans on the screen.

Miz waited in the ring as a chorus group of red and white gospel singers was assembled on the top of the stage. Looks like another interesting John Cena introduction is coming. They showed Cena highlights with a DMX intro prayer over it. The chorus group started up a lively song and clapping, before finally giving way to John Cena's official entrance music. Cena came up a small ramp to the stage, saluted the fans, then rushed down the ramp to the ring, diving in.

They locked up early, with Miz gaining some control after a shoulder block, but Cena able to hip toss him. Miz backed away when he saw Cena prepare to throw a punch. They did a strength test, with Cena able to put a side headlock on. It got to the corner, where Cena broke the hold, but Miz kicked Cena in the gut then stomped on him on the mat.

Miz began to punch away on Cena to keep him down on the mat. JR said a man can only sustain so many shots. Cena hit a gut wrench bomb on Miz for a near fall. Miz missed on a followup charging move, so Cena jumped off the corner and hit the leg drop on the back of Miz's head for another near fall. Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler said it seemed Cena's equilibrium has been effected. Right after that he gained momentum, with shoulder tackles. However, Cena looked woozy as he did the Five Knuckle Shuffle on Miz. Cena picked him up for the Attitude Adjustment, but Miz countered and then drilled Cena with a DDT for the near fall.

The Miz tore off the corner turnbuckle, with the ref distracted when he went to put it back on. Cena rolled Miz into the inside cradle for a near fall, but the ref was putting the cover back. He dropped it and went for the count with Miz escaping it. Cena picked him up for the AA, but Miz grabbed the ropes. Moments later, Cena locked the STF on Miz. Miz crawled to reach the bottom rope and finally broke it. The ref ordered Cena to break it off.

The Miz went for another Skullcrushing Finale, but this time Cena countered and threw him off. Miz hit into the ref, knocking him out. Cena hit AA, but the ref was out and couldn't count the pinfall. From there, Alex Riley smashed Cena in the face with the briefcase. However, Cena still kicked out of the pinfall as the ref finally crawled over for the cover.

Later still, Cena avoided a briefcase shot by The Miz, causing Miz to smash Alex Riley in the face. Cena had another near fall. Later, outside the ring Cena rushed over and clotheslined The Miz over the crowd barrier. Both guys were down on the pavement, with the ref counting them both out. The bell rang and Justin Roberts announced that it was a draw with Miz retaining the title.

However, as Miz's theme music played, The Rock's music interrupted. Rock stormed to the ring. Once he was inside, the anonymous GM sent an email. Rock stopped JR from going to read it, and went to read instead. He said "and I quote, as anonymous Raw GM I think..." Rock said "it doesn't matter what you think" then threw the laptop down.

Rock ordered the match to restart with no disqualifications or countouts. Cena was up fast and rushed over to toss Miz into the ring. He almost had the AA, but Miz grabbed the ropes to get away. The Rock was still in the ring and hit Cena with the Rock Bottom. He then left the ring and watched as The Miz covered Cena for the win.

The Miz celebrated in the ring with The Rock watching from the ramp. A "Rocky" chant started up with Rock staring at Miz in the ring. Rock rushed into the ring, with Miz trying for a shot at him with the belt. Rock ducked it and layed the smackdown on Miz with a bunch of moves. He hit a huge Spinebuster, then did the People's Elbow. Rock celebrated on the corner with his trademark pose to close out the show.

Winner: The Miz wins via pinfall over John Cena in a No DQ match to retain the WWE Championship.

On Sunday night, the Wrestlemania 27 matches will go live on Pay-Per-View. Several of these matches on the Wrestlemania card have been known for weeks now, with several others added more recently. You'll find the full list of matches below along with some other important notes ahead of the big Pay-Per-View.

It's going to be a star-studded event with former WWE legends The Rock, Stone Cold and Trish Stratus all on hand for various parts of the event. In fact, this may be one of the biggest yet, with so many high-level matches. It could almost be considered a card featuring four main events, since there's two major title matches, but also Undertaker-Triple H and the Michael Cole vs Jerry Lawler fight.

Also of note for this event, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be the special host for Wrestlemania 27. Jack Swagger will be in Michael Cole's corner for the match against Jerry Lawler. The eight-man tag match has Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov teaming with Big Show and Kane against The Corre (Wade Barrett, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel and Ezekiel Jackson).

A final thought ahead of the big event is there seems to be no Kofi Kingston on the card among other wrestlers. Possibly there's a battle royal or dark match to be added. This also marks the first Wrestlemania to not have a Money in the Bank ladder match, but there's a separate Pay-Per-View for that.

Of course there can always be more contests added once the Wrestlemania 27 Pay-Per-View has gone live. Both Smackdown's GM Theodore Long and the anonymous Raw General Manager have been known to make some shocking announcements as the event is underway, changing matches at a moment's notice!

Wrestlemania 27 Buildup Thoughts

This past week's Raw contained quite a bit of interesting buildup towards Wrestlemania 27, including appearances by The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and John Cena's latest dis rap aimed at The Rock. At times, it almost looks like WWE is trying to regain its glory days of The Attitude Era.

John Cena's latest rap response to Rock was yet again far from PG, just like Rock's previous two messages. The Rock was always known for his hysterical and blunt speeches in the ring, but that was before WWE went PG. Now it seems WWE has loosened up in order to rev up Pay-Per-View sales for the higher-priced Wrestlemania event coming in early April. Rock calling Cena a "Yabba Dabba bitch" or Cena talking about Rock eating his shitsu dog are perfect examples to spotlight that it's no longer election time for Linda McMahon.

However, you have to wonder what The Rock's involvement is for and if it will help or hurt things. It's likely to help get people interested to see what goes down between Rock and Cena at WM27. However, is it possibly hurting Miz as a heel? Most people are already likely to believe that Cena has an advantage to beat Miz in the ring, but knowing that Rock is not happy with Cena may lead to some disbelief over the potential outcome.

Stone Cold Steve Austin has also been brought in to officiate the math between Cole and Lawler. This was revealed several days ahead of Raw via the latest Wrestlemania 27 spoilers online. Another ploy to get fans more interested in Wrestlemania? Not only that, but to cross-promote WWE's Tough Enough. Still, bringing in Austin is a smart move because of the older generations who enjoyed his in-ring antics. Let's face it, Swagger has a Stone Cold Stunner on the way, and Cole possibly does too!

As for The Undertaker, what gives? The Johnny Cash theme song seemed good for his promo videos, but how about bringing back his original dark and haunting theme song when he comes to the ring. The other song just seems weird as he makes his way down the ramp. Not only that, but in all of his past returns, Undertaker has done so via videos on the screen showing him rising from the dirt. This latest return just seemed odd based on the storm scene with Undertaker arriving at a creepy log cabin.

It seems that these three matches may be the easiest predictions to make for the card though. Triple H has already lost to Undertaker before. If Triple H wins, many fans would be ready to riot, believing that Hunter's father-in-law gave him a major win to ruin one of wrestling's greatest statistical achievements.

Raw Results 03/07/11

Raw Results from Dallas, TX:

Raw opened with a promotional video with Triple H's speech from last week's Raw narrating over the highlights of his career. Triple H has vowed to end the streak at Wrestlemania 27, or die trying.

A shot of the arena followed, and then it went dark as Undertaker's bells tolled. The Johnny Cash song started up as Taker made his way to the ring through the smoke. Cole said we're 27 days away from Undertaker and his 18-0 Wrestlemania streak.

Taker spoke about his upcoming Wrestlemania match against Triple H and how some believe the streak will finally end at the hands of "The Game." He reminded everyone about the last two Wrestlemanias involving one of the greatest of all time, Shawn Michaels, then had clips shown of him decimating Michaels at both events.

Undertaker announced at Wrestlemania 27 that he and HHH will have a No Holds Barred match. He said the possibilities are limitless, but there is only one conclusion for the match: Triple H will "Rest in Peace."

Latest matches and Wrestlemania 27 Spoilers!

After Cole and Matthews discussed tonight's special guest, Stone Cold Steve Austin, the camera showed Randy Orton beating on David Otunga backstage. All of a sudden, Mason Ryan bearhugged him and slammed Orton against a piece of the set. Otunga and Ryan beat up Orton a bit, then CM Punk walked into the scene. He got in orton's face about putting McGillicutty on the shelf last week. Orton slapped Punk in the face. So Nexus responded by beating him up more, with Punk slamming Orton's head against the metal set piece. Punk picked up Orton and hit the GTS, then commanded his Nexus crew to drag Orton to the ring.

Raw returned with the Nexus in the ring. Punk was stepping on Orton's throat. Three refs got involved to get Nexus out of there. Otunga took off his shirt for the match. The ref went over to Orton to see if he could still fight. Orton was fuming and pulled himself up in the corner, ready to go. Finally the ref called for the bell.

Randy Orton vs. David Otunga

Otunga immediately attacked viciously in the corner, with the ref warning him to back off. Orton still wasn't on his feet as Otunga dragged him around the ring.

Otunga continued to stay in control and had several near falls from Otunga. Otunga was frustrated and looked at the Wrestlemania banner, then stood Orton up. Suddenly, Orton sprang to life and hit Otunga with an RKO, then made the pinfall. Otunga is now banned from ringside during the Punk v Orton Wrestlemania match.

Post-match, Mason Ryan rushed to the ring. Orton tried to get up to face him at the apron, but Ryan snapped him against the top rope. Ryan got in the ring yelling at Orton, then stood him up. Once again, Orton was quick to strike and hit the RKO on Ryan. CM Punk rushed to the ring area, with Orton standing up to face him. Punk stayed down on the floor area as Orton pressed against the ropes near the corner.

Orton turned and saw Otunga laying on the mat, contemplating the Punt Kick. Punk tried to rush around to the ringside area to save Otunga, but Orton ran across the ring and kicked Otunga in the head. Punk backed off after Orton started pounding the mat and staring out at him.

Winner: Randy Orton wins via pinfall over David Otunga.

WWE Slam of the Week was from Cean vs Riley in the Steel Cage, with Cena hitting the AA on Riley, then powering his way out through the cage door as Miz tried to hold it closed. Miz quickly hit Skullcrushing Finale on Cena outside the cage.

Cole and Matthews brought up The Miz's Twitter tweet earlier that he is boycotting Raw tonight for not getting the recognition he deserves.

Smackdown star Christian showed up for a rare appearance on Raw.

Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio

Alberto Del Rio got his introduction from Ricardo Rodriguez, before arriving out without a car. Instead he was with NXT Season 4 runner-up, Brodus Clay, who he mentored on the show. Del Rio got on the mic to once again talk about his destiny for Wrestlemania. He told Christian they're going to fight...but not tonight. Instead he'll have to defeat his little friend, Brodus Clay.

Del Rio remained at ringside to watch Clay as he dismantled Christian in the ring. Christian finally eluded him a few times, but always got smashed down to the mat. Later in the match, Clay missed on a huge splash. Christian hit a missile dropkick from the corner to finally take down Clay. He set up for Killswitch, but Clay leveled him again. Clay got Christian on his shoulder, but Christian slid off the shoulder, then moved away as Clay rushed at him in the corner. Christian got on the corner ropes and hit a tornado DDT on Clay for the pin.

Del Rio got in the ring to attack Christian. After punching away on him, Christian fought back. Del Rio came back to get him in the Cross Armbreaker.

Winner: Christian wins via pinfall over Brodus Clay.

Cole discussed the war of words going on between The Rock and John Cena. Cole said Rock escalated things with last week's response. Apparently both men tweeted today with Cena saying he's going to deliver the final knockout response on tonight's Raw.

Raw returned with a promotional video of the newest superstar signed from Mexico, Sin Cara. It wasn't announced on which show or when he'll appear.

Cole and Matthews discussed the three WWE Hall of Fame inductees for 2011 so far, Shawn Michaels, Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Bullet Bob Armstrong. The latest inductee into the Class of 2011 was announced: WWE Diva Sunny aka Tammy "Lynn" Sytch.

Nikki Bella vs. Eve Torres
WWE Divas Championship Match

They showed highlights from last week's battle royal to determine the #1 contender for Eve's title. After the Bellas cheated to win, Eve got in the ring to confront them. They attacked Eve from behind leaving her down on the mat.

Gail Kim was ringside to support Eve in the match tonight. Nikki came to the ring with Brie. Eve tossed Nikki around the ring multiple times after pounding her face first into the turnbuckle. Nikki made a comeback and started to choke Eve against the bottom rope before kicking on her.

Michael Cole got on the microphone, standing up on the commentators table, asking if they could get this over with already. Cole said he's got a major announcement to make about his special guest referee. Meanwhile Nikki was beating up Eve in the ring. Matthews told Cole to sit down, calling him "out of control" because the championship is on the line right now.

The ref saw Brie slide into the ring and switch with Nikki, so he told her to get out of there. Eve went to the outside to grab Nikki and bring her back in. She hit the big neckbreaker on Nikki for the big win.

Winner: Eve wins via pinfall over Nikki Bella to retain the WWE Divas Championship.

Cole stood up and got on the mic saying that next up he'll talk about his special guest referee for Wrestlemania 27.

When Raw returned, Josh Matthews announced that bestselling author and "Jersey Shore" star Snooki, will be the guest host of Raw next week.

They showed a replay of Cole and Lawler in the ring last week on Raw. Cole introduced his trainer for Wrestlemania 27, Jack Swagger. Lawler tried to toss Swagger to the side and go after Cole, but Swagger got Jerry in the Anklelock. Cole got down in his face to berate Lawler.

Cole was laughing in the ring and asked for everyone's attention please. Cole had the contract for his Wrestlemania match and said the man signing those documents will be special guest referee who gets the honor of holding his hand up high when he defeats Lawler at Mania. Cole said he's selected an impartial ref, due to his respect for Lawler. Cole said his special ref is a former WWE champion, a true legend and one of the most iconic figures in WWE history. Cole said he's also a legendary Texan.

Cole said everyone's been waiting for an hour for this, so he got them chanting "Austin, Austin" then called them all "Fool!" Cole introduced his referee for Wrestlemania 27, JBL. JBL arrived out in a white stretch limousine. JBL immediately dissed the crowd saying he took a hiatus to leave Texas for a better place, New York. He said he felt sorry for the Texans and their lack of sports champions.

JBL talked about the dues Cole payed to become a star for the people. He said he saw years of Lawler mistreating Cole, like a bully. JBL said he hates bullies and the strong picking on the weak. JBL said he's proud of Cole for standing up to that bully.

JBL said everyone will tell people about this moment, with JBL once again in the main event at Wrestlemania. JBL prepared to sign the contract after letting out a big laugh. Suddenly, Stone Cold Steve Austin's glass shattered and Austin arrived to the ring to interrupt the signing.

After posing from the corners, Austin walked up to JBL who started to yell at him. Cole hid behind JBL also acting tough as he told Austin to get out of there. Finally, Stone Cold kicked JBL in the gut and hit the Stunner. He picked up JBL's cowboy hat to wear. Someone threw Stone Cold a few beers. He did the beer bash from the corner, with Cole screaming from the commentators table "You ruined my night!" Austin poured a beer on JBL's face, then someone tossed him a few more.

Austin looked down at the contract, unsigned on the mat. He looked at the Wrestlemania banner, then picked up the contract to look it over. Cole started crying at the commentators table. He asked the crowd to give a "Hell Yeah" if they wanted him to sign the contract. Austin signed off with Cole crying from the commentators table. Austin walked over to Cole and gave a handshake, then poured two beers on his head. He told Cole good luck on your match brother, and shoved him down into his seat.

Back in the ring, Austin got on the ring corner. As Cole was trying to walk by, Austin dumped another can of beer on his head. Cole walked up the ramp looking dejected. Meanwhile, JBL was back on his feet. Austin called for 2 more beers, which someone threw over. He handed JBL one and did a toast. JBL started to drink, then got his 2nd stunner of the night. Up on the stage, Cole was with Swagger. Cole tore off his suit jacket and threw it down. Austin celebrated with more beers on the stage, getting himself drenched.

Raw returned backstage with Cole complaining to Swagger about being humiliated out there tonight. Cole said he hates Stone Cold as much as he hates Jerry "The King" Lawler. Swagger said to focus on his match with The King, and he'll worry about Stone Cold. Swagger said he'll break his ankle like a twig. Jerry Lawler arrived out from backstage with the intro by Justin Roberts. Lawler joined Matthews for commentary for the remaining portion of Raw.

Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus

Sheamus arrived out without his King gear. They showed how Sheamus was beat up by HHH last week and Pedigreed through the announce table. After that, Evan Bourne defeated Sheamus in about 30 seconds hitting Air Bourne for the win.

During tonight's match, Bryan hit a huge move to knock Sheamus off the apron. Sheamus appeared to tweak his left ankle though. He got up and hobbled over to the ring, but couldn't get back in before the 10 count. Sheamus pounded away on the commentators table. Bryan smirked in the ring at the win and got ready to leave with the US title. Sheamus got on the mic saying for the last couple months he's been on a losing streak, but that will change next week when he becomes the new US Champion.

Sheamus challenged Bryan saying if he can't beat him for the title, he'll quit. Bryan nodded and laughed about it, seeming to accept.

Winner: Daniel Bryan wins against Sheamus by countout.

R-Truth vs. CM Punk

They showed the earlier incidents involving The Nexus and Orton. Orton managed to defeat David Otunga despite Nexus beating him up backstage earlier. Orton finished off Otunga with the Punt kick for the win.

Punk had Mason Ryan at ringside for the match which saw Truth with a quick rollup after the bell. Late in the match, Punk went for GTS, but Truth countered and hit a huge kick to take him down. Truth had a near fall with Punk able to escape. Punk got to the side apron and as Truth came over, Punk snapped his arm against the rope. Punk got back in the ring to slam down Truth, then put the Anaconda Vice on Truth for the win.

Mason Ryan got in the ring and Punk ordered him to pick Truth up. Ryan did so and did a shoulder break with Truth onto his knee. He screamed "that's what you get!" at Truth as Punk admired the work.

Winner: CM Punk wins due to submission over R-Truth.

They had HBK speaking about the Triple H vs Undertaker match for Part 2 of his exclusive video interview. He spoke about the friendship he's had with HHH over the years as DX. He said their respect and honor for each other grew over the years. He said greatness never gets satisfied, which is why HHH is taking on this big challenge, to stop the streak. He also talked about HHH creating his own mountains and also how he enjoys seeing pain in his opponent's face. Michaels said if anyone can defeat Undertaker at Wrestlemania, it's Triple H, because he can take emotion out of the equation.

Vickie Guerrero arrived out to the ring before a commercial break.

They had another Snooki promo to remind fans that she'll be the special guest for Raw next week in St. Louis. Lawler said he can't wait for that.

Vickie was in the ring, introduced the fans to a former World Heavyweight Champion and new addition to the Raw roster, Dolph Ziggler. Matthews called Ziggler the hottest free agent since Lebron James.

John Morrison vs Dolph Ziggler

Vickie joined Lawler and Matthews on commentary as Morrison gained momentum. Morrison kneed Ziggler several times then hit a neckbreaker. He had the pinfall but Ziggler got his foot on the bottom rope. Morrison tried to pull Ziggler from the ropes, but Ziggler held on to them. The ref got involved and distracted. Ziggler raked Morrison in the eye, then hit the Zig Zag for the win.

As Vickie got in the ring to celebrate with Ziggler, the lights flashed and email sound chimed. Lawler got up smiling and went over to read from the laptop. He said the GM admitted to hiring Ziggler for Raw, but not Vickie. The GM offered Vickie a job on Raw if she wins her match next week on Raw, against Trish Stratus. Vickie started complaining in the ring. Four security guards came from backstage to escort Vickie out of there. Vickie tried to grab Ziggler's leg but the guards pulled her away.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler wins via pinfall over John Morrison.

They showed another part of last week's response by The Rock to John Cena. Matthews said Cena's final knockout is up next.

Before break, they had an exclusive look at "The Chaperone" starring Triple H. Hunter talked about what the movie's about and the kids in it. Ariel Winter said there probably will be a blooper reel. The movie arrives at Wal-mart stores on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday.

Raw returned with the final part of The Rock's response to Cena last week from Buffalo, NY. It include a few rhmying lines concluding with "you will smell what the Rock is cookin!"

John Cena arrived out to the Dallas arena for the final part of Raw. Cena said he knows of one guy who's angry, because apparently he struck a nerve, The Rock. A "Rocky" chant started up from some of the crowd.

Cena brought up how Rock was frustrated over how Cena addressed him in rap a ew weeks ago. Cena said tonight he'll address The Rock in hip-hop and that should clear everything up. Cena brought up how Rock didn't appear live but was on TV reading from a teleprompter. Cena delivered yet another dis rap. He had props including "The Rock's new T-Shirt" which said "I Bring It Via Satellite." Cena closed with "don't ever call me out again dude, cause that's bringing a gun to a knife fight."

Cena closed out his rap and started smiling and posing to the crowd. Suddenly, The Miz arrived in the ring to attack Cena, knocking him down. Miz raised up the WWE Championship belt. Cena stood up and Miz smashed him in the face with the belt to knock him back down. Matthews said nobody thought Miz would appear tonight because he said he was boycotting.

The Miz got on the mic saying Cena and his little buddy Rock and everyone else have disrespected him for the last time. Miz said there's a pattern, every time he and The Rock get their panties in a wad, this happens to him. Miz delivered his own rap line to Cena down on the mat. Miz got in the camera to deliver a promo message to The Rock. He said they have yet to be introduced. Miz said Rock is the host, and Miz is the main event for Wrestlemania.

Miz talked about how he'd take all of Rock's catch phrases, his grandfather, his father and roll it all into one, then stick it straight up Rock's candy ass. He started the "I'm the Miz and I'm..." but stopped as Cena got up. He dropped the mic, went over and hit Cena with a Skullcrushing Finale. From there, Miz did a mock version of "The People's Elbow" tossing off his arm band to the crowd, then hitting it on Cena. Miz picked the mic up and said "AWESOME!" before picking up his belt to show off to the crowd.

King of the Ring Tournament 2010 Edition

According to recent commentary from Smackdown's team of Grisham, Cole and Striker, there's six WWE Hall of Famers who were former King of the Ring winners. Can you name them?

If you guessed Don Muraco, Harley Race, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ted Dibiase, Bret Hart and Tito Santana, consider yourself an expert in WWE trivia. Those guys are true legends of the sport, and many of the other names to win the tournament have gone on to big things in their careers. Another name is Triple H, who will be in the Hall of Fame in the future. The tournament has basically launched careers. The King of the Ring has been held since 1985, but took years off in 1900 and 1992, as well as 2003, 2004, 2005 and just last year in 2009. As of right now, the current reigning King of the Ring is William Regal who won the 2008 edition in Greenville, South Carolina.

That brings us to the 2010 King of the Ring, which will be held on Monday's episode of Raw in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center. Four superstars qualified from Raw and four qualified from Smackdown to give the following eight tournament competitors:

RAW: Sheamus, John Morrison, Daniel Bryan and Ezekiel Jackson

Smackdown: Alberto Del Rio, Dashing Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre

Scanning the list, there's a total four heels and four faces between the eight names. Michael Cole keeps touting Ezekiel Jackson as his favorite. When you look at the list of former winners, most of the guys were heels, making you think it's likely one will win this tournament. You might easily rule out Bryan, Kingston and Rhodes to win the tournament at this point.

However, I'll go with John Morrison to win it, even if he's a face. Let's shake things up and get his push going. He's got the recent push and may end up besting Sheamus in the finals. Morrison also seems headed towards a reunited storyline with Melina, which would give her "queen" status. This would also bring Morrison closer to the major title picture, and coincidentally his former tag partner, The Miz, holds the WWE Title. With Cena involved in a different story, and Orton hurting, Miz may enter a new feud with Morrison.

Of course if we want to cover our bets, we'd take Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio as favorites too. Both seem like the type of heels who woul do the crown justice by rubbing it in everyone's faces en route to a title shot.

Who do you expect to win the 2010 King of the Ring Tournament on Monday's Raw?

Raw GM, Smackdown & MITB updates

After watching Raw this past week and also checking in with some other fans, more theories are developing about who the "anonymous GM" is. Of course we got the key phrase clues "gimme a Hell Yeah" and "that's the bottom line because the GM said so" which lead many to believe it's Stone Cold. Of course that could be true, but it could also be another WWE curveball.

One possibility I've heard mentioned is that the GM is Abraham Washington. He was the talk show host from the now defunct ECW on SyFy. We haven't seen or heard much if anything from him since the ECW sent stars to Smackdown & Raw. He'd be the type to play a joke on everyone making it seem like it's Stone Cold. It's hard to imagine Stone Cold asking John Cena and Wade Barrett to shake hands and make up, that sounds more like something Abraham Washington would do. He also would want to make a big statement, which he has done without being on the air, yet.

We've now got the entire 8 man fields for the Smackdown MITB Ladder match at the upcoming PPV. Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler each qualified on the latest episode of the show. My money is on Drew McIntyre to win, or Christian to win MITB. I'm also willing to bet that we probably see one of the titles change hands with a MITB briefcase cash-in at the PPV. If I had to bet though, I'd go with the World Title changing hands based on Rey needing time off. There's also been a Women's Title match added to the PPV, with Kelly Kelly going against just Layla, who was the original champion.

The Raw MITB ladder match is tougher to predict because there's an open mystery spot right now. Could Wade Barrett take the spot, or maybe a returning Triple H? They may have had R-Truth ready to go for the match, then realized HHH was ready to come back and devised the whole injury story with Truth. It would be odd to see HHH carrying a Red briefcase around, but maybe he'll be the winner.

"Dashing" Cody Rhodes has a new entrance theme, but personally I liked his edgier hard rock theme song over this new pretty boy one. He's also got an interesting gimmick, a digital mirror that he admires himself in on the stage before heading down to the ring.

Kane is still trying to determine who attacked his brother, but what if it was Kane who took him out? Anyhow, Jack Swagger has until Friday night to prove it wasn't him who attacked Undertaker. That will make things interesting heading into Sunday's PPV, depending on who gets attacked.

Stone Cold Steve Austin WWE Raw is all business

No stunners in sight during the two hour March 15, 2010 episode of Raw with WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin at the helm. Austin was the guest host and in a refreshing but interesting episode of Raw, it was all business leading up to Wrestlemania 26, which is under two weeks away.

Austin teased a stunner early in the show after hitting the ring to drink some beers and lead the crowd in a few "Hell Yeah" and "WHAT?!" chants. John Cena hit the ring for the opening bout and as he went back and forth against the ropes, Austin snuck up behind him teasing the stunner. Cena smirked as did Austin and the two gave each other their respects. It's been speculated for some time about an Austin vs. Cena match of some sort going down, but that doesn't appear in the works at this point.

During that first "Wrestlemania Rewind" match of the night it was Cena vs. Big Show. They met last year in the Triple Threat match with Edge as well, and also at a previous Mania for the US title. During their latest match, the Animal Batista came down to interfere and distract. It didn't really look like much on TV and the commentators seemed to be reeling to cover up for a bad spot. They explained it as the ref was distracted by Batista on the apron, so Big Show raked Cena in the eyes. Hmmm..Afterwords, Batista simply got in the layed out Cena's face, but didn't do any further damage.

In another intriguing moment, Shawn Michaels met with Austin backstage, as did Chris Jericho. Austin boldly told Michaels he doesn't think he'll beat Undertaker at Mania, then told Chris Jericho to get the hell out of his office. It was the only backstage interaction of the show beyond an interview or two from Josh Matthews. Some good promos and buildups to the Wrestlemania matches though, including a unique tag team match set up for next week with Triple H and Orton as partners against Sheamus and Legacy. Didn't expect that union in years.

Austin's main role of the night, beyond setting up a new Wrestlemania match (Orton v. Dibiase v. Rhodes Triple Threat) was to officiate the Bret Hart-Vince McMahon contract signing. Before any signatures were done, he added that Stu Hart will in fact go into the Hall of Fame this year. Austin had some colorful moments during the contract mediation, when he told his former boss to sit his ass down, but there were no stunners. This would have been the moment for it, but a stunner to just about any of the wrestlers on this show 2 weeks ahead of Mania, wouldn't serve much purpose except letting Austin be Stone Cold for ol' times sake.

The "shocker" if you call it that was when Bret Hart revealed to Mr. McMahon that he was never injured. He explained it as a set up that he and John Cena cooked up, to basically bait Vince into a Wrestlemania match. After dropping the bomb on Vince, he proceeded to beat him around with the leg cast for good measure. These two get it on in a No Holds Barred match at Wrestlemania 26.

Speaking of Mania, there's eight matches on the card right now, with a ninth likely to be added in the form of Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk from Smackdown this week. Punk issued the challenge on last Friday's show. Of note, Kofi Kingston isn't in the card anywhere, which is sort of intriguing after he was part of the Elimination Chamber and multiple other PPV's. Maybe a dark battle royal match is in the works with all the other guys with nothing else to do at the PPV... (Chavo, Kofi, Mark Henry, Ryder, Goldust etc).

All in all it was a good Stone Cold Steve Austin edition of WWE Raw last night, albeit predictable in portions. Did anyone expect any of the Wrestlemania Rewind matches to be clean? Why would any of the competitors win without some outside interference. Why would Shawn Michaels defeat Jericho, the current World Champ? Maybe WWE underestimates the fans' intelligence a bit too much at times.

You'll notice with Austin in charge, there were no silly skits or in-ring talk show segments like the past guest-hosted Raw shows. No sign of Santino Marella or The Bella Twins, no Superstar Secrets talk show bits or bull-riding diva contests (not that we mind). Instead it was all business with The Rattlesnake and the leading up to Wrestlemania 26.

Don't count out those silly skits next week though when Pete Rose is in charge, in fact expect them.

Raw Recap 03.15.10

Raw Recap from San Diego, CA:

Raw opened with a highlight video of last Monday's "Handicap Gauntlet match" with Vince McMahon against John Cena. Vince brought in several other wrestlers to try to wear down Cena for a pin, including Vladimir Kozlov, Drew McIntyre, Mark Henry and Jack Swagger. None of these competitors were able to wear Cena down enough for Vince to make the pin, but once the Animal Batista arrived to the ring he was able to ultimately stop Cena from hitting the Attitude Adjustment on McMahon. Batista hit the Spear, and then a Batista Bomb for good measure to give Vince his pinfall on Cena.

Cole and Lawler were on hand for what Cole called a "Vintage episode of Raw" 2 weeks away from Wrestlemania 26. They discussed tonight's Wrestlemania Rewind matches. Things went silent for a moment, until the familiar sound of glass breaking went off. Stone Cold Steve Austin arrived to the ring to the cheers of fans.

Austin began talking about how great it was to be back, then the fans started up the "WHAT?!" chants. Austin called for a couple of beers then had the fans give him a couple of "Hell Yeah's" for Raw and Wrestlemania. Austin brought up his match against Bret Hart at Wrestlemania 13 when he passed out in a pool of blood. Austin said Bret's one of the best he's ever shared the ring with in the business. Austin brought up Vince McMahon next, saying even though they never saw eye-to-eye, Vince was always cutthroat and brought his A-game in the ring with him. Austin said tonight he'll oversee the signing of the WM26 contract to make sure it goes on without a hitch.

Austin said he's ready to take care of business in the ring tonight and that's the bottom line "because Stone Cold said so!" Just then, John Cena's theme music hit and out came Cena to Austin's surprise. Cena hit the ring and did his preparatory moves. Just then, Austin faked like he was sizing up Cena for a stunner, but smirked about it. Cena gave Austin a salute as Stone Cold left the ring. Just then, Big Show's music hit and he came down the ramp, passing Austin. Stone Cold gave him a "friendly wave" then went up the ramp with his beer.

John Cena vs. Big Show

Show was in control with a submission hold after a commercial break. Cena escaped to put on the STF, but Show managed to throw him towards the edge of the ring causing Cena to fall outside. Cena returned to the ring to beat the count and started fighting back on Show. Cena tried to lift Show with Show too heavy and falling back on him. Show missed on his corner Splash move like in other matches.

Cena gained momentum and was able to get Show down for the Five Knuckle Shuffle. As Cena was doing the "You Can't See Me" gesture, Batista's music hit and the champ came out to the ramp. Cena kept staring at The Animal, then did the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena was distracted by Batista at ringside and Show got a chokeslam in. Cena kicked out of the pin though. Show revved up for a KO punch as Cena got up, but Cena ducked it. Cena tried to get Show up for Attitude Adjustment, but Batista got on the apron. The distraction to the ref allowed Show to rake Cena in the eye. Show delivered a right hand KO punch to knockout Cena for the pin.

Batista got into the ring and crawled on the mat to get in Cena's face and taunt him as Cena was layed out. The Animal left the ring smiling at Cena's misfortune.

Winner: Big Show wins via pinfall over John Cena.

Evan Bourne vs. Sheamus

Sheamus is in preparation for his big match against Triple H at Wrestlemania 26. Before the bell, Sheamus took the mic and was about to speak then clocked Bourne in the head with the mic. The ref still hadn't started things and tried to keep Sheamus back, but Sheamus gave Bourne a boot kick to the head, then launched him with the Razor's Edge across the ring. Bourne was kicked to the outside and Sheamus grabbed the mic again.

Sheamus talked about being fascinated with the WWE Superstars when he watched from over in his home country. He said one guy stood out to him as so vicious and as a man who would do anything to get to the top, The Game Triple H. Sheamus listed off all the legends that HHH has defeated. Sheamus then said he's ended careers and dominated Raw become WWE Champ in just one year. Sheamus said he was supposed to be defending his title at WM26, but Hunter ruined it. Sheamus said in 2 weeks time The Celtic Warrior will take his thrown.

Winner: No contest, match never began as Sheamus attacked Bourne.

Stone Cold was watching a flatscreen backstage, when Shawn Michaels walked in. Michaels said he wasn't there to waste time and asked Austin if he thinks he can beat the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Austin said he thinks he can beat him, but he won't. Austin said the streak goes to 18-0. Michaels said he appreciates Austin's honesty but after Austin beat him at WM14, everyone thought Michaels' career was over. HBK said he proved them all wrong and will again at WM26. He said tonight he sends a message to Undertaker in his match against Jericho.

Chris Jericho walked in smirking, talking about how great it is he'll get to humiliate Michaels again before Undertaker retires him. HBK said Undertaker him a message on Smackdown by destroying four guys, so tonight Michaels will destroy Jericho. Michaels left, so Jericho tried to be pals with Austin, saying they should call the match off and go have a few beers. Austin fake laughed with him, then told Jericho to get out of his office and go compete.

Kelly Kelly vs. Maryse

The two divas did a bit of posing for the fans. Kelly got up on the corner to give a sexy pose which Maryse took exception to. Maryse began her attack, but Kelly soon recovered. Kelly did a flip early to land on her feet then dropkicked Maryse. She hit a legdrop on the back of Maryse's head for a near fall. Right after, Maryse grabbed Kelly by the shorts and threw her into the corner turnbuckle.

From there, Maryse stood Kelly up and hit her French Kiss DDT for the win. Maryse backed up and kicked Kelly in the gut, sending her outside the ring. Outside the ring she threw Kelly into the crowd barrier, then back inside the ring for more. As Maryse was preparing to do more damage, Gail Kim and Eve rushed to the ring to make the save. They beat up Maryse, with Gail Kim taking her down to the mat. Eve checked on Kelly.

Suddenly, Smackdown's Layla and Michelle McCool came rushing to the ring to attack. Team LayCool dismantled the face divas in the ring, including a running knee into Gail in the corner. Eve tried to get back in the ring to fight back. Layla held Eve's legs and Michelle gave her a roundhouse kick to the head. Team LayCool went up the ramp to where Vickie Guerrero was clapping for them. Maryse went up to join them and posed with her WWE Divas belt.

Winner: Maryse wins via pinfall over Kelly Kelly.

Raw returned with a highlight video about Undertaker's streak. Various superstars including HHH, Cena and Big Show discussed "The Streak" and the big Undertaker-Michaels match for Wrestlemania 26.

Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho

Michaels seemed to have control of things, until Jericho avoided him on a charge and shoved Michaels shoulder-first to the corner ringpost. Michaels recovered though and pounced on Jericho for a series of punches. The ref pulled him off though. Jericho was able to land a backdrop as Michaels came at him near the ropes, tossing Michaels to the outside. Jericho brought HBK back in to catapult him face first into the bottom rope. Jericho locked a headlock on Michaels on the mat, but HBK got to his feet to fight out.

Jericho continued to dominate after whipping Michaels to the corner hard. He kicked Michaels in the head a few times, then slapped him around a bit before applying another hold. Michaels gained momentum after taking Jericho down and then jumping up to his feet. Michaels went for Walls of Jericho with Michaels turning it into a near fall small package. After knocking HBK down, Jericho went for the Lionsault, but Michaels got both knees up. Michaels went up on the corner and hit the flying elbow drop, then started up Sweet Chin Music in the corner.

Michaels went for the Superkick but Jericho saw it coming and ducked out of the ring. The ref began his countout as Jericho backed up the ramp with his hand raised. The bell rang for the countout but just then Edge's theme music hit. The Rated-R Superstar arrived out to the ramp and punched Jericho, then began to beat him up around the sound/lighting equipment and in the crowd. He shoved Jericho towards the crowd barrier, nearly hitting a WWE staffer in the process. Edge got Jericho back in the ring, waited for him to get up and hit the Spear. After grabbing a mic from outside the ring, Edge got in Jericho's face to say "Spear" in a loud whisper.

Winner: Shawn Michaels wins via countout over Chris Jericho.

Cole and Lawler reviewed last week's handicap match where Randy Orton had to face Dibiase and Rhodes. Orton seemed to be able to handle both guys and was able to kick Cody Rhodes out of the ring. As he was looking out at Rhodes, Dibiase came up behind Orton and hit Dream Street to get the pin. Rhodes and Dibiase did a mock Orton pose as their former mentor was layed out.

Michael Cole announced that guest host Steve Austin made a new Wrestlemania 26 match with Randy Orton vs. Ted Dibiase vs. Cody Rhodes in a Triple Threat match for the "implosion of Legacy".

Randy Orton was shown putting tape on his wrists backstage. Josh Matthews came in to ask Orton if the announcement of the new WM26 match will affect his focus for tonight's HHH match. Orton said it won't. He said even though he despises HHH, he respects him and takes him seriously in the ring. Orton said he doesn't take Dibiase or Rhodes seriously. Orton said at Wrestlemania they'll find out they are nothing without him.

Triple H was shown backstage on his way out for the next match.

Raw returned with WWE Rewind highlights from last week when Sheamus and HHH got into it in and around the ring. This came moments after Sheamus challenged Triple H to a Wrestlemania match. HHH gained the upperhand and took Sheamus into the crowd. Back in the ring, HHH hit a Spinebuster and Sheamus was forced to retreat up the ramp.

Cole and Lawler reviewed what's happened on Raw so far with the Wrestlemania Rewind matches including Batista distracting Cena and eventually causing him to lose to Big Show.

Triple H VS. Randy Orton

In this rematch from last year's Wrestlemania The Game and The Viper hooked up in the ring. Orton punched away on HHH in the corner early. HHH came back though and put Orton in the corner for a beating of his own, eventually punching him down. HHH started to control things and with Orton down, he did a crotch chop then a knee drop for a near fall.

Orton started to come back a bit as he whipped HHH to the ropes. HHH held the ropes and Orton fell down on a dropkick attempt. Orton managed to knock HHH to the outside though. As HHH went to get back in through the ropes, Orton tried for his DDT move. HHH blocked it, got in the ring and then tossed Orton out over the ropes. The two fought outside, with Orton able to whip HHH into the steel steps. Orton hit a vicious DDT outside the ring right before a commercial break.

Late in the match, HHH gained momentum after hitting a Spinebuster. He went for the Pedigree, but Orton backdropped him instead. They wound up hitting a double clothesline to take each other down. Orton rolled to the apron near the bottom rope. HHH got up and went to stand him up, so Orton grabbed HHH by the head and then yanked his throat down across the top rope. HHH snapped back and Orton slowly got back in the ring. As he was going in through the ropes, Triple H kicked him, then got him in Pedigree position through the ropes. HHH hit the Pedigree and was about to pin, when Rhodes & Dibiase hit the ring to attack.

Dibiase and Rhodes attacked HHH first then dumped him out of the ring so they could go after Orton. They continued to punch and kick away on their former mentor and leader. HHH got back in the ring and went after Rhodes and Dibiase. Just then, Sheamus snuck into the ring behind HHH. As HHH turned he met a huge pump kick from Sheamus. Sheamus stared at Rhodes/Dibiase so they backed out of the ring cautiously. They went over and pulled Orton from the ring so they could hit a Cross Rhodes on him outside. Meanwhile, Sheamus got down and yelled in HHH's face, then got up to pose with one foot on HHH's chest.

Winner: Double disqualification when Rhodes & Dibiase interfered.

A commercial aired for the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony which will air Saturday, March 27th at 11PM EST on USA.

Michael Cole reminded fans of this year's 2010 WWE Hall of Fame inductees: Ted Dibiase, Mad Dog Vachon, Antonio Inoki and Wendy Richter. The newest inductee was unveiled, Gorgeous George. George Wagoner "Sensation of the Nation", the "Toast of the Coast" was known for his flamboyant costumes and antics in the ring. Some described him as the man you loved to hate, and he arrived just as the television had been introduced. His 86 year old former wife Betty Wagoner will induct Gorgeous George into the Hall of Fame.

Cole and Lawler ran down the lineup of matches for Wrestlemania 26 including Chris Jericho vs. Edge (World Title), the Money in the Bank Ladder match, Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon, and John Cena vs. Batista (WWE Title).

Kofi Kingston VS. Batista

The Animal appeared on Raw in a tuneup match with Kofi Kingston. Kingston tried to attack Batista last week to save Cena, but was unable to.

Late in the match, an angry Animal attacked Kofi outside the ring, tossing him hard into the crowd barricade. Back in the ring, he sent Kofi into the corner then tried to charge. Kofi was able to slip out through the ropes then use the top rope to do a flip kick into Batista's face. The kick busted Batista open with blood streaming down from his forehead. Kofi tried for a springboard move, but Batista punched him hard in the midsection from the air. Batista hit a Spinebuster, then set up for the Batista Bomb and hit it.

Winner: Batista wins via pinfall over Kofi Kingston.

They showed highlights from Wrestlemania XXVI where Pete Rose was in the ring dissing the Boston MA crowd in 1998. All of a sudden, Kane arrived with Paul Bearer. In the ring, Kane did a Tombstone Piledriver on Pete Rose.

Next week's guest host for WWE Raw will be Pete Rose. He's already scheduled a 2-on-3 handicap match with HHH and Orton facing Sheamus, Dibiase and Rhodes.

Justin Roberts introduced Bret "The Hitman" Hart for the contract signing. Bret came out with one crutch wearing a Hitman hockey jersey top. In the ring were the two chairs and table for the contract signing. Roberts introduced WWE Chairman Vince McMahon as Bret Hart took a seat at the table. Vince came out to the ramp in a business suit. The chairman started mocking Bret as he limped down the ramp pretending to use a cane.

The sound of glass shattering came next, and Stone Cold Steve Austin came down to the ring. Austin ordered Vince McMahon to take a seat. Austin said he wants to take care of one piece of business before they do the contract signing. He discussed how proud a moment it was to go into the Hall of Fame last year. Austin said Stu Hart was supposed to go into the Hall of Fame this year. Vince stood up, but Austin told him to sit his ass down. Stone Cold said if anyone deserves to go into the Hall it's Stu Hart. Austin said he was there to officially announce that Stu Hart will go into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Austin asked Vince if he has a problem with that. Vince said he doesn't, because it means all of the Hart family will be there. Vince said each of the Harts to set foot in the ring is a dysfunctional derelict. Vince told Bret he can either sign the contract and take his beating like a man, or not sign it and be the coward he is. Vince told Bret if he signs it and doesn't show up, he'll sue him for everything he has.

Bret responded it doesn't matter if both his legs were broken, he'd still beat Vince at WM26. Bret said he doesn't want just any wrestling match, he wants it to be a fight. Bret asked for a No Holds Barred match. Vince agreed then said "it seems once again Bret has screwed Bret, now sign it". Bret signed it first. Vince went to sign, then hesitated on it before finally signing his name on it. Austin told Vince he's looking forward to seeing Vince take the worst beating of his life.

Austin left the ring and walked up the ramp with a mic in hand. Vince McMahon stood up and looked up the ramp at Austin. Austin turned to look down at Vince in the ring and said there's one thing he forgot to mention, but will let Bret tell him. Vince sat back down to look at Bret and saw that his leg cast was on the table. Bret tossed his crutch aside, then stood up. He told Vince he set up the injury with a bit of John Cena's help. Bret said if Vince backs out of their WM26 match, he'll sue him for everything he's got. Bret turned to look at the crowd asking if anyone wants a souveneir. Vince got up to try to attack from behind, but Bret turned and hit him in the gut with the cast. He shoved Vince over the table at the chair. Vince got up and Bret clocked him in the head with the cast. Raw ended with Vince down in the corner and Bret heading up the ramp.

Raw Preview 03.15.10

Tonight's WWE Raw will feature a familar face in the guest host role, as a certain "Rattlesnake" slithers back onto the scene. Hosting tonight's episode will be WWE Hall of fame legend, Stone Cold Steve Austin, who is no stranger to the ring. As part of his guest host duties, Austin will also preside over the official contract signing scheduled between Bret "the Hitman" Hart and Vince McMahon. Austin's no stranger to both these men, as he's had his matches with both, and numerous run-ins with Vince McMahon. This all has fans anticipating just what will go down as Austin hosts Raw and is in the ring with Vince and Bret. Will Stone Cold "stun" the WWE Universe on tonight's Raw?

Also tonight will feature at least 3 Wrestlemania Rewind themed matches. In one match, John Cena will battle Big Show, a rewind to years ago when these two did battle one-on-one. Shawn Michaels takes on Chris Jericho, and in a storied matchup, The Game Triple H will face Randy Orton. The Viper has had tough times recently with his Legacy proteges attacking him and defeating him in a handicap match just last week. Tonight's Rewind matches will go down with less than two weeks until the Wrestlemania 26 PPV arrives. Which superstars will gain momentum from tonight's contests? Will their scheduled opponents from WM26 play any part?

Several more competitors from Raw are preparing for Wrestlemania 26 with Christian, Shelton Benjamin, Evan Bourne and Jack Swagger just four of the wrestlers scheduled to be in the Money in the Bank ladder match, as they've qualified on Raw. Also, Triple H and Sheamus have built up an interesting feud, with each man getting the upperhand against the other over the past several weeks. It was HHH who pinned Sheamus in the Elimination Chamber, costing The Celtic Warrior his WWE title. With these two on a collision course for WM26, something's got to give. Which of these superstars will gain the upperhand on tonight's show?

Stone Cold Steve Austin's return to WWE 2010 - Will he stun Raw?

With the impending guest host job coming up by WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin, speculation can begin as to just what Austin will contribute to Monday's show. It's definitely one to look forward, unlike the past three weeks which have seen hosts giving us magic tricks, bull riding contests and talk show segments gone bad. Austin's capable of doing plenty of damage within the 2 plus hour time slot for USA on Monday. So what will go down? Will Austin unleash the stunner?

Wrestlemania 26 is just two weeks away, and the buildup continues for various matches. One such match is Vince McMahon v Bret Hart, the match that is 12 years in the making. Austin will officiate the official contract signing and you have to wonder if he's going to get further involved. Since he's yet to be announced as part of Wrestlemania, but still could become part, it makes sense something's coming from the Rattlesnake. However, with WM26 so close, it seems hard to believe he'd hit a Stone Cold Stunner on Vince McMahon, because that gives fans a payoff before Bret Hart gets his hands on Vince.

It's possible he could hit the Stunner on both Bret and Vince, but that might look bad for Austin to stun an already injured Hitman. Then again, it didn't stop Undertaker from applying the Hells Gate submission hold on JTG in the ring on this past Friday's Smackdown. So we very well could see Austin stun both guys. We could also see him stun a guy not even involved in WM26, but at this point with 9 guys in the ladder match, there's not many options. I guess a stunner on Jillian Hall could go down for the fans' entertainment.

At the very least, I'm expecting Austin is added to the Vince-Bret Wrestlemania match as the "impartial" special guest referee. He'll likely cite the fact that in the past weeks Vince has been playing dirty and that he knows how the Chairman can be. Stone Cold and Bret Hart also have history in the ring. Austin will use his power as Raw guest host to appoint himself the ref for the WM26 match, perhaps adding more allure to the match and card. It seems a bit late to introduce a star of Austin's caliber into WM26, but as they say better late then never?

Stone Cold Steve Austin to host 3/15 Raw!

WWE announced via their website on Monday that the Rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin, will be returning to WWE as a guest host. Austin will host the March 15, 2010 episode which airs from San Diego, California. Austin currently lives in the Los Angeles area.

On this past Monday's episode of Raw, Stone Cold promo videos were abundant, although hidden a bit. There were the continued highlight videos of Wrestlemania 14, where Austin faced Shawn Michaels for the WWE Title with Mike Tyson as special guest referee. Also, there was the 2010 WWE Hall of Fame tickets promo video featuring clips from last year's induction ceremony. The main inductee and last on the show was none other than Stone Cold Steve Austin.

It's sure to be one rough and rowdy show if Stone Cold's back in charge. Mark your calendars and set your DVR's or TIVO for March 15th 9PM EST on USA!
