Smackdown Preview 05.02.08
Friday night's Smackdown has been dubbed "Championship Friday" and will feature a triple main event with 3 titles on the line. US Champion Matt Hardy, World Heavyweight champion the Undertaker and tag champs Miz and Morrison will all put their belts up for grabs in matches.
The Undertaker will have yet another tall task to handle as he faces the 7'3 Great Khali. Khali is coming off a loss at Backlash to Big Show and will not be in the best of moods. The Undertaker just recently defended his title against Edge at Backlash, and used a Triangle Choke submission to defeat Edge. Will Undertaker be able to use the same hold on Khali, or will the giant reclaim the World Heavyweight title he held months ago?
Matt Hardy is the brand new US Champion after defeating his nemesis MVP at Backlash just under a week ago. Tonight MVP tries to recapture the gold he had held for nearly a year. How will Matt Hardy do in his first title defense? Will the loud mouth, trash talking MVP be able to reclaim his title and back up his claim of "better than everyone"?
In the third of Smackdown's title matches, The Miz and John Morrison will put their tag team titles on the line against Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore. The two high flying and exciting superstars would definitely like to have the tag team belts around their waists. Which team will prevail in this battle for the WWE Tag Team titles?
Smackdown will also see ECW's Colin Delaney face the newest superstar on Smackdown, the brutal Vladimir Kozlov. Fans will also get to see the debut of the hardcore legend himself, Mick Foley, as a new Smackdown commentator! What will Mick have in store for Michael Cole and the Smackdown audience on his first day of work as a commentator?
