Raw, ECW, Draft & Million Dollar Mania
This past Monday night's Raw gave away not just a great deal of money to various lucky viewers, but it also saw the return of the legendary Ric Flair. Flair made a triumphant appearance to interrupt a trash talking Chris Jericho, who was insulting Shawn Michaels just a week after beating him up. Flair challenged Y2J to a good ol' parking lot brawl, to which Y2J followed him almost out of the arena. Waiting for him was Triple H, which eventually set up the main event match, Jericho vs. HHH. In the end, a brawl ensued in which Cena came down to save the Game from Jericho and Cade. HHH mistook Cena's help and attacked him. In the end, it looks like we will see a Cena & Triple H versus Cade & Jericho match to be next week's main event.
Next week of course will be the WWE draft, and it's hard to tell who will go where at this point. The diva bikini contest on Raw may have been held to see which non-Raw divas got the biggest crowd reactions. Lena, Eve or Maryse could make their way over to Raw possibly. As for superstars, it's anyone's guess, but it seems the man who really needs to move to Raw or Smackdown is CM Punk. The title holders will most likely stay put, as will their current challengers.
On ECW last night, perhaps Mark Henry gave us the true confirmation that Smackdown and ECW stars are one in the same. Henry said "unless I get drafted", he will be the next guy challenging for the ECW belt. That seems to indicate it doesn't matter which show you're on, you can still fight anyone, anywhere, for any title.
And next week could possibly be the last edition of Million Dollar Mania. The WWE continues to add in the live calls which were more humorous this past Monday. One caller won $125,000 and then decided to let Mr. McMahon know his birthday is the same day as Night of Champions. Another caller told Mr. McMahon the WWE has changed her life, and she's right to the tune of $174,984. Why the odd amount? Because another caller received just $16, enough to buy 16 lottery tickets or a WWE DVD. Remember to register at WWE.com for your chance to win this coming Monday night!
