Smackdown Recap 10.24.08

Smackdown recap from Laredo, TX:

Smackdown opened with WWE champion Triple H arriving to the ring to discuss Cyber Sunday and his main event match tonight against Undertaker. After discussing the PPV for a bit, Jeff Hardy came out to interrupt The Game. Hardy informed Triple H that he's confident he'll earn the fan vote and face HHH at Cyber Sunday. Next, Vladimiar Kozlov comes out and tells both men he'll be the next WWE champion. Triple H gave Jeff Hardy a Pedigree to end the segment.

Backstage, Triple H runs into the Undertaker and the two have a staredown.

Maryse & Natalya vs. Maria & Michelle McCool

Future opponents Maria and Michelle teamed up to take on Natalya and Maryse here. During the contest, the tag team of Jesse & Festus arrived to the ring with mariachis. The noise and commotion distracted Maria and Michelle, allowing Maryse to score a surprise rollup pin.

Winners: Maryse & Natalya win via pinfall over Maria & Michelle McCool.

Carlito & Primo Colon vs. Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely

During the match, Chavo and bodyguard kept arguing with one another. The constant arguing lead to an attempted punch by Bam at Chavo. Bam missed on the punch, allowing Carlito to score the pinfall victory.

Winners: Carlito & Primo Colon win via pinfall over Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely.

Backstage, WWE Diva Michelle McCool confronted Maria about why they lost their tag match. Maria tells her that she needs to find Festus to find out what happened.

R-Truth & Kung Fu Naki vs. MVP & Shelton Benjamin

In this tag match, fans saw the re-debut of Funaki as "Kung Fu Naki". He and MVP started things off, going back and forth. Eventually Fu Naki scored an impressive kung fu type kick to get the win!

Winner: R-Truth & Kung Fu Naki win via pinfall over MVP & Shelton Benjamin.

In his Kiss Cam segment, the Great Khali and his translator arrived to the ring. Khali had a big sack full of mail with him and claimed it was love letters from female fans who want to kiss him. Khali and Singh started up the Kiss Cam again to choose a girl for Khali to kiss. The camera found an attractive girl, with Runjin Singh moving her aside so Khali could kiss the less attractive girl.

Brian Kendrick was able to beat Super Crazy easily in tonight's match. After the quick pinfall victory, Kendrick's bodyguard Ezekiel gave Super Crazy a beatdown.

Winner: The Brian Kendrick wins via pinfall over Super Crazy.

Triple H vs. Undertaker

In tonight's main event, the Deadman faced the WWE champ for the first time on Smackdown. In the start, things went back and forth. Undertaker tried to go Old School by walking the ropes, but HHH pulled him down. A double clothesline occurred later in the match taking both men down to the mat. As they stood back up, punches were exchanged furiously. Later on in the match, Triple H was able to attempt the Pedigree, but Undertaker was able to counter it and send HHH to the corner. Undertaker again tried for Old School, but The Game countered it and suplexed the Undertaker.

The match eventually went outside the ring. Undertaker throws HHH into the steel steps, then attempted the Last Ride. Triple H countered it with a neckbreaker. Next, Undertaker went to Chokeslam the WWE champ, but HHH countered for a quick pin attempt. Taker went for yet another Chokeslam, but HHH countered again and attempted the Pedigree. Undertaker was able to counter HHH's Pedigree attempt again.

As the match continued, Big Show came out of nowhere and attacked the Undertaker. Triple H attempted to make the save, rushing Show and hitting him with a steel chair. Big Show responded by Chokeslamming HHH down, then attacking the Undertaker as Smackdown went off the air.

Winner: No winner/double DQ after Big Show interfered in the match.
