Raw Preview 11.24.08
With the culmination of Survivor Series 2008, Chris Jericho may be a prophet, as he mentioned how the Raw landscape would change with John Cena's return to the brand. In the Survivor Series main event, Cena returned to his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts and in front of countless fans was able to overcome Jericho's offense. Cena captured the World Heavyweight championship and now will rule Raw as its champ. However, Jericho will still be able to invoke his rematch clause. Will Jericho get his rematch on tonight's episode of Raw? Or will another competitor be given first opportunity to fight Cena for the World Heavyweight title?
On Raw recently, Batista demanded a rematch for the World Heavyweight title. He was informed by Stephanie McMahon that he would have to wait until after Survivor Series. On the other hand, Randy Orton believes he is the top contender. Orton managed to score a winning pinfall on Batista during last night's PPV, despite a bit of a surprise tag in and finisher. Which of these two men will be considered the #1 Contender and get a crack at Cena's World Heavyweight title first? Will they need another showdown to settle their differences?
In the traditional Survivor Series matches, it was almost an entirely lopsided win for the Raw roster. The Great Khali is the only other superstar to be amongst the survivors, and he represents Smackdown. Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and The Glamazon Beth Phoenix were all survivors. Raw now seem to have a bit a brand supremacy as its superstars outdid those of the other brands. What will be next in store for these superstars? Who will be Beth Phoenix's next opposition for the Women's title? Will Shawn Michaels and JBL pick up their feud where it left off at Survivor Series?
