Smackdown Recap from Omaha, Nebraska:

Smackdown starts off with Edge in the ring discussing last week's Jeff Hardy incident and the upcoming Royal Rumble. Suddenly, Matt Hardy rushed into the ring to take Edge to the outside. Edge quickly fled from the scene.

The Undertaker vs. Shelton Benjamin

In a non-title match, Shelton Benjamin seemed to be in control throughout. In the end though, The Undertaker defeated Shelton using the Hell's Gate Submission hold.

Winner: The Undertaker wins via submission over Shelton Benjamin.

Chavo Guerrero vs. The Great Khali

Chavo attempted to defend the Guerrero name and prove he was more than just a "gopher" for GM Vickie Guerrero. Once again the Great Khali dominated his opponent, winning after he hit the "Punjabi Plunge" on Chavo.

Winner: The Great Khali wins via pinfall over Chavo Guerrero.

The Bella Twins vs. Natalya & Michelle McCool

WWE Divas Champ, Maryse, made her return to watch this divas tag team matchup. During the match up, a disgruntled Maria came rushing to the ring. Maria attacked Michelle McCool causing the referee to call for the bell. Natalya came to the aid of Michelle, allowing McCool to toss Maria into the crowd barrier.

Winner: Natalya & Michelle McCool win due to disqualification over the Bella Twins when Maria interfered.

Matt Hardy vs. Edge

Due to the earlier attack by Hardy on Edge, GM Vickie Guerrero ordered the No DQ match to take place. Matt and Edge went toe-to-toe, but both Jack Swagger and Mark Henry interfered from the outside. Edge was able to get the win after hitting Matt with a Spear.

Winner: Edge wins via pinfall over Matt Hardy.

Carlito & Primo Colon vs. John Morrison & The Miz

Both tag team champion teams faced off on Smackdown prior to the Royal Rumble. In the match there was plenty of back and forth action but it was Miz and Morrison picking up yet another win. Carlito managed to hit the Backstabber on John Morrison, not realizing that The Miz had tagged in to become legal. Miz made a quick rollup pin on Carlito to get the victory.

Winners: The Miz & John Morrison win via pinfall over Carlito & Primo Colon.

Triple H vs. Vladimir Kozlov & The Big Show
2 on 1 Handicap Match

Originally, Triple H and Kozlov faced off in the ring, until Smackdown GM Vickie Guerrero came out. As the match went on, out came Vickie Guerrero who informed everyone that the match had been changed to a 2 on 1 Handicap match, with the Big Show as Kozlov's partner.

In the matchup, Triple H was ready to Pedigree Kozlov but Big Show smashed HHH from behind. Vladimir Kozlov was able to put the finishing touches on another win by pinning Triple H. Afterwards, the Rated-R Superstar Edge came to the ring, but was promptly Pedigreed by Triple H. As Edge recovered he kept trying to talk on the microphone but the mic continually cut out. A frustrated Edge did an elbow drop on the mic before Smackdown left the air.

Winner: The Big Show & Vladimir Kozlov win via pinfall over Triple H.
