Smackdown Preview 03.13.09

Tonight's Friday the 13th Smackdown will give the Undertaker get a chance to avenge his previous loss to Vladimir Kozlov on the show. Kozlov got a clean, hard fought victory over Taker just weeks ago, and prepared to take out Shawn Michaels on Raw so Kozlov could go to Wrestlemania 25 and stop the Undertaker's 16-0 undefeated streak. The Showstopper put an end to Kozlov's own undefeated singles streak in WWE action with a dose of Sweet Chin Music on Raw, also putting HBK in the match with the Deadman at Wrestlemania 25. With Michaels and Undertaker having an in-ring confrontation regarding their big Wrestlemania 25 match last week, both men seem intent on gaining victory at Mania. Undertaker will have a chance tonight to defeat Kozlov and prove to the Heartbreak Kid that Undertaker is ready for the fight. Will Undertaker be able to gain a victory over the Moscow Mauler tonight or will Kozlov once again have the Deadman's number?

The past week has been difficult for Edge and Vickie Guerrero. On this past week's episode of Raw, Edge, Vickie and Big Show met in the ring to finally sign the contract for the Big Show vs. Edge World Heavyweight title match at Wrestlemania 25. John Cena once again showed up to "spoil the party" and this time let everyone know just what he had whispered in the Smackdown GM's ear to make her cry. Cena revealed that he had obtained video camera footage of Big Show and Vickie engaging in an affair backstage while Edge was in the shower. After the two made out, Show snuck out of the backstage office room, but the footage was recorded and replayed for all to see on Raw. Edge was shocked and outraged while John Cena was all smiles. Now Cena's a part of the Triple Threat World Heavyweight title match at Wrestlemania 25 with Edge and Big Show. Meanwhile, Edge certainly won't be too pleased with Vickie or Big Show. What will be in store for the Rated-R superstar on Smackdown? Will Edge confront Vickie and Big Show, and will Cena show up yet again?

The Hardys, Matt and Jeff have also been having a tumultuous time between them over the past several months. Things started with Matt's blatant and blindsided attack on his own brother Jeff during a WWE title match which allowed Edge to win back the belt. Jeff tried to move past the incident, but Matt refused to let him, later demanding a wrestling match to show his brother up. Jeff informed his brother he would never fight him, and Matt responded by slapping his brother to incite him. Jeff still has held off on agreeing to any sort of match, but last week saw Matt cost Jeff a spot in the Wrestlemania 25 Money in the Bank Ladder match. With the brothers having tensions so high, what will occur between them on tonight's show? Will Jeff finally give in and accept a match against his own brother?

Also tonight, watch for the final qualifying match for the Money in the Bank Ladder match at Wrestlemania 25! Catch all the action tonight at 8PM EST on MyNetworkTV!
