Video highlights were shown from two weeks ago when Undertaker was battling Chris Jericho in the ring. Batista was ringside for commentary, but got involved, eventually beating Taker down with a steel chair. Last week, Undertaker was headed to the ring to confront Batista, but The Animal ambushed him from behind on the way down the ramp. Tonight, Batista will face a returning Rey Mysterio in a Street Fight.Batista made his way out, and informed the crowd he had a few things to get off his chest. Batista discussed tonight's Street Fight, saying it was Mysterio who requested it, but he doesn't even deserve to be in the same ring with The Animal. Batista also said he's not as popular with the fans these days, but that's ok. He said Evolution and Rey Mysterio needed Batista more than he needed them, he simply used both to get to where he needed to be.
Batista asked for a spotlight to be put on him in the ring, and said it's about him only, not the fans. He said he's just there to make money and win titles, with everything about him screaming "Championship material". He noted that Undertaker has already lost, as Batista has beaten him down in consecutive weeks. He said to get used to calling him "World Heavyweight Champion Batista".
Matt Hardy & R-Truth vs. Luke Gallows & CM Punk
Punk and Gallows arrived out to the ring, with Punk chastising the parents who were buying the new Jeff Hardy DVD as a gift for their kids. He compared it to giving the kids "hallucinogenic magic mushroom" drugs as a gift, and said watching the DVD means you're a washed up, unemployed junkie. Luke Gallows stomped all over the copy of the DVD Punk brought to the ring.R-Truth and Hardy were out next. Hardy handed out free copies of the Jeff Hardy DVD to some of the fans on the way to the ring, with Punk protesting for them not to accept it. In the ring, Punk started jawing at Hardy, and R-Truth hit him as the match started. Punk began trash talking Truth, then was clotheslined to the outside as Smackdown went to a break.
Late in the match, Truth was on the receiving end of the heels' double team efforts. He finally managed to dropkick CM Punk as Punk went for a springboard clothesline. Hardy tagged in and gained momentum as he faced Punk. Matt Powerbombed Punk from the corner, then did a legdrop from the middle rope. Luke Gallows came in to disrupt Matt's pin on Punk. R-Truth rushed in to take Gallows outside the ring. CM Punk grabbed Truth and tossed him out as well. Hardy and Punk continued battling with Punk eventually making a blind tag to Gallows. Hardy hit Twist of Fate on Punk, but was leveled by Gallows' big boot for the pin.
Winners: Luke Gallows & CM Punk win via pinfall over Matt Hardy & R-Truth.
Later on tonight, John Morrison and Drew McIntyre will have a confrontation. John Morrison has a surprise for McIntyre.
Smackdown returned with Eric Escobar and Vickie Guerrero arguing backstage in Spanish. GM Teddy Long was there, asking Escobar to translate. Escobar said he told Vickie she was sometimes mistaken for his mother. Vickie got her retribution by booking Escobar in a match against Chris Jericho. Escobar said he was ready to go.
Kane was shown walking backstage and came up to Mike Knox. Knox tried to tell Kane they are the same type of person, both monsters who are hard to understand. Knox said he enjoyed his match against Kane last week and wants to do it again. Kane said they're nothing alike, because Kane's the only monster in WWE. Knox promised to leave Kane a broken monster tonight, but said he'd ride in the ambulance with him. Kane grabbed Knox around the throat, with Knox telling him asphyxiation can cause a euphoria throughout the body. Kane let him go and told him he'd see him in the ring later.
Eric Escobar arrived to the ring for his match against Jericho. Highlights were shown of Escobar insulting Guerrero in the ring last week, apologizing he ever went out with someone like her.
Eric Escobar vs. Chris Jericho & Big Snow
Escobar gained the early control of things, hitting Jericho with some rights. He hit a leg lariat on Jericho, then some more beating followed in the corner. Escobar managed to clothesline Jericho to the outside, which caused Vickie Guerrero to arrive out and change it to a two on 1 handicap match: JeriShow vs. Escobar.Escobar went for the quick pinfall before Big Show could get to the ring, but Jericho escaped it. Jericho regained control of things, and tagged in Big Show. Show pummeled Escobar for a minute or so, then Jericho tagged back in to put on the Walls of Jericho. JeriShow with the victory heading into TLC.
Winners: Chris Jericho & Big Show win via pinfall over Eric Escobar.
After the match, Jericho promised victory at TLC and to wipe DX from the face of the earth forever to cure all the WWE hypocrite fans of their disease. Jericho said Show is the most lethal weapon of them all, more destructive than any table, ladder, or chair. Show took the mic to say he and Chris Jericho will be the end of D-Generation X.
Drew McIntyre arrived out to the ring in street clothes, mic in hand. McIntyre faces Morrison at TLC for the Intercontinental title. McIntyre was disgusted with the WWE magazine he pulled out showing John Morrison on the cover. He had them show footage from last week when McIntyre pulled Morrison into the steel ring apron, then pinned him in the ring. McIntyre asked why the fans believe in Morrison, because of his American heritage, his fancy moves, or the fact he holds the IC title. McIntyre said after Sunday, Morrison won't be a champion at all.
Just then, Scottish music came on and out came John Morrison dressed as William Wallace from the movie "Braveheart". Morrison had a kilt on with face paint, a sword and shield. McIntyre was clearly offended by it. Morrison said William Wallace will not stand for any disrespect. McIntyre told Morrison he looks ridiculous. Morrison said the fans don't believe in him and can't understand a thing he says. McIntyre recommended Morrison start showing more respect to take him seriously. John Morrison said Sunday McIntyre may take their lives, but he'll never take the IC title! McIntyre was enraged and demanded Morrison drop the sword. Morrison did so, and dropped the Scottish accent, then said he had the endorsement to kick McIntyre's ass. The two TLC competitors began to brawl, with McIntyre rolling to the outside. Morrison grabbed him by the hair, with McIntyre escaping into the crowd for safety.
Highlights were shown from Survivor Series 2009 where Batista sent Rey Mysterio out on a stretcher. Tonight Mysterio returns to Smackdown for his first time since that event.
Kane vs. Mike Knox
Late in the match, Knox was beating away on Kane around the ring. In the corner, he continued unloading punches, then rammed Kane into the corner. Knox was in control, but Kane got his knees up on Knox' splash attempt. Kane followed with a dropkick as Knox sat up on the mat. A near fall followed. Kane whipped Knox to the corner, then clotheslined him, following up with a sidewalk slam. Another near fall. Kane went to the corner and Knox ducked his clothesline. Knox hit a huge cross body for a two count on Kane. Knox went for a move, but Kane escaped it to hit the Chokeslam for the win.Winner: Kane wins via pinfall over Mike Knox.
Mickie James & Maria vs. Michelle McCool & Layla
Highlights were shown from last week when Mickie won the #1 Contender's Triple Threat match. She confronted Michelle and Layla outside the ring, with the heels attacking her and Maria making the save. Mickie James will face Michelle McCool in a Women's Championship match on Sunday at TLC.Late in the match, McCool had control of Maria, and taunted Mickie by dragging Maria near her. Mickie yelled at her with McCool knocking Mickie off the apron. The heels continued to beat on Maria around the ring. Maria finally made a comeback as she did a headscissors, then pulled McCool by her leg to make a tag to Mickie. McCool quickly tagged out to Layla. Mickie took control and eventually shoved Layla right into McCool, knocking McCool off the apron. As Layla fell backwards, Mickie rolled up Layla for the pinfall win.
Winners: Mickie James & Maria win via pinfall over Michelle McCool & Layla.
A video hyped the street fight main event.
Michael Cole and Matt Striker were in ring to discuss this Sunday's TLC PPV matches including Undertaker defending his World Championship title against Batista in a Chairs match, and JeriShow defending the unified tag titles against DX in a TLC Match.
Rey got a huge pop from the crowd as he made his return. Batista took him down early after the bell, beating him from corner to corner. Batista paced around Mysterio and slapped him a bit to show his dominance. Rey started to fight back from the mat, but Batista quickly flattened his comeback attempt.
During the match, Michael Cole noted how much of Batista's "I Walk Alone" DVD highlight Batista and Rey Mysterio's friendship. Striker said now there's an empty chair at the Mysterio place where Batista used to sit for the holidays. Mysterio began to make his comeback and dropkicked him against the middle rope. Batista escaped to the outside. After some in and out of the ring exchanges, Mysterio quickly dropkicked big Dave into the crowd barrier.
Out of commercial break, Batista had whipped Mysterio to the steel steps. He was stretching Mysterio against the ring post, then on the outside began to whip Rey with some cables before tossing him against the commentator's table. The Animal picked up Rey to drop him face first against the table, then started to kick his prey a little. Back in the ring they went, where Batista kept up his punishment using a chin lock. Batista with a series of sit slams to further hurt Rey.
Batista retrieved a steel chair from the outside to use on Rey. He picked up Rey for the Batista Bomb with the chair laying down. Mysterio fought out and tripped The Animal face first against the chair. Now Rey was on fire, and hit a 619, followed by a huge springboard splash. Batista threw Mysterio off the pinfall at 2. Mysterio began to use the chair on Batista as he smashed the chair against him several times. Batista ended that with a huge Spear to take him down.
Batista gave his thumbs down signal, stomping hard on the mat. He grabbed the chair, swung hard and knocked out Mysterio for the winning pinfall.
Post match, The Animal chased the ref out of the ring, then set the chair around Mysterio's neck. Batista got up on the corner ready to do a move. Suddenly, the lights went out and the Undertaker's bells tolled. As the lights returned, Taker was standing below on the mat. Batista jumped down and it was on. Taker began to punch away fast at Batista in the corner. He grabbed the steel chair ready to use it, but The Animal wisely retreated from the ring. Smackdown closed with Undertaker's music and pyro going off. Batista collected himself on the ramp while Taker glared at him from the ring.
Winner: Batista wins via pinfall over Rey Mysterio in the Street Fight.
