Smackdown Preview 12.11.09
With tonight's Smackdown, the TLC Pay-Per-View is just 2 nights away! On tonight's episode, Batista will be in action just nights before his big Chairs match for the World Heavyweight title against The Undertaker. It won't be an easy task for The Animal either, as he will face his rival Rey Mysterio, who Batista sent out on a stretcher at the last Pay-Per-View. Tonight Mysterio will return to Smackdown to take on Batista in a Street Fight. Batista set out to destroy Rey before, but with the return of his former friend, will The Animal finish the job, or will Mysterio be able to bounce back with a victory? Also, will The Undertaker's presence be felt during tonight's match?
Also, Chris Jericho and Big Show will be looking to prepare themselves for TLC, as they will defend their unified tag team titles in a TLC match against D-Generation X this Sunday. Chris Jericho has already indicated that he will never leave Raw, and he'll go on whichever show whenever he chooses. DX has promised to banish Jericho from Monday Night Raw with a title victory on Sunday. On this past Monday's episode of Raw, Jericho was supposed to fight DX in a 2-on-1 handicap match. However, that quickly changed when Big Show rushed down to the ring to get involved. The match ended with DX stuck inside a ladder as Chris Jericho repeatedly basehd a chair down on them. It seems as if JeriShow is on cruise control headng into Sunday's event. How will JeriShow prepare themselves for their TLC match on tonight's episode of Smackdown?
And finally, last week saw emerging superstar, Drew McIntyre with a big win over current Intercontinental champion, John Morrison. McIntyre didn't exactly fight fair, as he ducked under the ring, waited for Morrison to come after him and then smashed him head first into a steel structure attached to the ring. The victory was a non-title win, but it definitely has raised eyebrows and questions. Will Morrison be forced to defend his IC title now that McIntyre has become a top contender? When will these two meet again in the ring?
