Raw Preview 12.07.09

Normally Chris Jericho has the aid of his powerful partner The Big Show for most matches. However, on tonight's episode of Raw the cocky Smackdown star will go at it alone, as he faces D-Generation X in a 2-on-1 handicap match. Last week Jericho's seemingly smart plan backfired when he was challenged by HHH to a match on Raw. Jericho added the stipulation that if he won, HHH would face JeriShow in the handicap match, but if Jericho lost, he would face DX. Despite interference during the match from Big Show, Triple H ultimately won the match. Now with the TLC Pay-Per-View this coming Sunday, Jericho must face his PPV opponents by himself. How will one half of the Unified Tag team champions fare against the title challengers? Will Big Show be banished from ringside or make his powerful presence felt?

On last week's show, the WWE Universe also saw a fired-up version of John Cena hit the ring and call out his Tables match opponent, Sheamus. Cena was none too happy with the fact Sheamus slammed him through a table in the ring after their contract signing 2 weeks ago on Raw. As Cena awaited Sheamus' arrival for a confrontation, he got the return of Carlito instead. The apple-spitting superstar informed Cena that Sheamus is fighting on behalf of the rest of the Raw roster since they're all sick of seeing Cena with the spotlight. Cena then informed Carlito he picked the wrong guy on the wrong night. As Carlito went for the apple spit, Cena stopped him then hit the Attitude Adjustment before tossing him out of the ring. Sheamus showed up to the ramp next, but after a brief staredown towards the ring, he backed off and headed backstage. Will Sheamus and Cena cross paths again tonight on Raw? How will these superstars prepare for their upcoming PPV title match?

And finally, on last week's show, MVP attempted to help Mark Henry with his breakthrough performance to convince the WWE fans he has some personality. The World's Strongest Man proceeded to do his own rap performance on the top of the ramp along with MVP and guest host Verne Troyer as backup. While it's unknown if Henry scored points with the fans, he definitely scored an impressive victory in the ring afterwards. Henry fought The Miz in a non title matchup, and ended up picking up the major win. The victory would seem to push Henry to the front of the United States Championship contenders. What will Miz have to say regarding the loss, and will Henry receive a title shot?

Catch tonight's Raw live, hosted by NBA Dallas Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban. Raw hits the air at 9PM EST on USA!
