The Miz & Big Show made their way to the ring with all of their championship belts. Show started on the mic saying he was skeptical about them as a tag team at first. Show said he's changed his mind and believes they can be special. Miz said they are special, and nobody can take the titles from them. Miz said ShowMiz is the greatest tag team in WWE history. Miz went to say it again for the crowd, but just then they were interrupted by Bret Hart's theme music. The Hitman arrived out from backstage and came down to the ring.

Hitman said he can name two tag teams that are better than MizShow, then listed off The Hart Foundation and The British Bulldogs. Miz said it seems Hasselhoff isn't the only delusional 90's icon. Miz said he can put a Sharpshooter on Hitman anytime. Show said it's the last warning he's going to give him, then told Hitman to leave. Hitman said he's not ready to leave because there's a tag team backstage that can beat them. The Hart Dynasty arrived out from backstage and came to the ring. Miz said the Hart Dynasty can't just go from show to show since they're not the champs.

DH Smith took the mic and challenged Miz to a one-on-one match. Smith said if he beats Miz, Hart Dynasty gets a tag team match at Extreme Rules. Miz and Show had a little talk between themselves. Otunga chuckled saying Batista almost got him with that joke. Batista didn't crack a smile, and Otunga realized he was serious. Otunga said he'd do it, but as he turned looked pissed. Just then, David Hasselhoff walked up with the Bella Twins. Otunga shook hands with him then said Hoff must have invited him there to discuss a new movie role he has for him. At one point, Cena shoved Cena away to the mat, then taunted The Animal to come get in the ring. Batista smiled up on the ramp but didn't budge. Cena finally slapped the STF on Otunga and stared at Batista up on the ramp as Otunga tapped out.

Batista began to rip off his clothes from the ramp and prepared to go down to the ring, then held back. Batista had the spotlight put on him. The Animal finally walked backstage as the fans booed him.

The Game came to the ring and pulled a Sledgehammer out from under the ring to go face Sheamus. After blocking the pipe shot, he jabbed the sledge into Sheamus' gut and chased him to the outside. Sheamus eventually retreated through the crowd after HHH swung at him near the commentators table.

Sheamus arrived to the ring and got on the mic to discuss last week's incident. Sheamus said he made HHH show his hand last week, that he used a sledgehammer because of who he's up against. Sheamus announced that he just got word that they're going to compete in a Street Fight. Sheamus said he's used to street fights from Dublin, Ireland which is tougher than anywhere in America or UK. Next out was Kelly Kelly and Gail Kim, both wearing the Baywatch swimsuits. They ran in slow motion down the ramp to mock the Baywatch series as Raw went to break.

Santino Marella was announced as special guest referee, and came out wearing a white tank top and orange shorts. All of the teams got some moves in, but in the end The Bella Twins pulled off a switch, so that the non-legal one could roll up Rosa Mendes in a pinfall. Jillian and Rosa complained to Santino about the final result, with Jillian hitting Santino, causing his lifeguard whistle to become stuck in his throat. Santino fell to the mat, and the divas all looked to Hasselhoff for help. Suddenly, Hornswoggle's music hit and he came running down the ramp dressed in white tank top and orange shorts. Horney tried to pump Santino's chest, then tried to pull the whistle out, but it didn't work. Finally he did his Tadpole Frogsplash to make the whistle fly out of Santino's mouth. The divas all applauded him.

After break, The Animal had control and smashed Orton face first into the TV monitor area of the commentators table. Batista put Orton back in the ring for a near fall, then set up for the Spear. He charged at Orton, but Orton kicked Batista instead, then tossed Batista shoulder first into the ringpost. The two began to throw punches back and forth at each other as the crowd yelled "Yay" or "Boo!" Orton whipped Batista to the ropes, and Batista held on to kick Orton. However, Orton was able to hit a Powerslam as Batista came off the ropes. Orton got down to slap the mat as the fans chanted RKO. Instead, Orton measured Batista for the Punt Kick. Batista saw it coming and rolled to the outside. The two fought out there, and then as they got back on the apron, Orton took control. He DDT'd Batista from off the middle rope for a near fall.

In the closing moments, Batista had control and prepared for a Batista Bomb. Instead, Orton got him with the RKO and went for the pinfall. Just then, Jack Swagger rushed into the ring and grabbed Orton to hit the Gutwrench Powerbomb on him. Swagger surveyed the damage then left the ring to back up the ramp. John Cena came rushing down and knocked Swagger down, then slid into the ring. Cena locked the STF on Batista and wouldn't let up. Batista started tapping out. Cole and Lawler reminded everyone Cena can't win that way at Extreme Rules. Finally about 6 refs got Cena to break the STF. Cena got up and posed mightily for the crowd.
