Raw Preview 11/15/10

Tonight's Raw comes less than a week ahead of Sunday's huge Survivor Series 2010 Pay-per-View event! The show will have a special 8PM EST start as it will be a throwback to the older days of WWE, the "WWF era" of the 80's! Expect appearances from former legends and stars of the old WWE on tonight's episode of the show.

Things are definitely heating up as Survivor Series approaches though. John Cena's career will be on the line Sunday as he will be special guest referee for the Wade Barrett versus Randy Orton WWE Title match. Just recently on Raw, Cena was special guest ref in a tag match which Orton and R-Truth won versus Barrett and Otunga. What will Barrett have in store for John Cena on tonight's episode of Raw? Will David Otunga have anything to say regarding Barrett's recent treatment of him in Nexus?

Also scheduled to compete at Survivor Series is diva Natalya. She'll be vying for the WWE Divas Championship held by Michelle McCool and Layla. However, Natalya currently is trying to hold together the dysfunctional tag team known as The Hart Dynasty. Will this tag team be able to get on the same page again, or are we headed for a Tyson Kidd David Hart Smith clash?

Check out tonight's special episode of Raw at 8PM EST on USA!

Raw Results 11/01/10

RAW Results from Long Island, NY:

WWE Champion Randy Orton arrived out with his championship belt in hand. Lawler and Cole talked about how Orton defends the title against Wade Barrett with John Cena as special guest referee at Survivor Series 2010. Orton said there's not a man alive who could take the WWE Title from him. He said he'd accept it if there was, but what he can't accept it if there was a crooked referee, especially if it's John Cena.

Orton called John Cena out to the ring to confront him about Survivor Series and his referee job. Cena came to the ring moments later to talk to Orton. Cena told Orton that they've both been champion before and the title comes and goes. Cena talked about what could happen if Orton wins or loses. Cena said he isn't sure what he's going to do at Survivor Series. Orton told Cena if he screws him over at Survivor Series, he'll be the biggest phony in the WWE, and all that Hustle, Loyalty, Respect will be out the window.

Orton told Cena to get out of his ring, but Cena started to fire back, saying Nexus has everyone under their control right now. He said Barrett has the ability to compete but he can't win a title match straight up. That remark brought Barrett and his Nexus crew out from backstage, including Husky Harris and McGillicutty. Barrett said when push comes to shove at Survivor Series, Cena will raise his hand as new WWE Champion. Cena said in 3 weeks this is all over. Barrett reminded him that he might be fired. Cena told Barrett when it's all over, either way he's going to beat the hell out of Barrett.

Orton told Barrett he doesn't have to wait until Survivor Series to beat up Barrett, and called Wade to the ring one-on-one. Barrett started towards the ring, but the Raw GM sent an email to interrupt. The GM's email said tonight there will be a main event involving Wade Barrett and a partner of his choice against Orton and a partner of his choosing. John Cena will be the special guest referee for the match.

The Hart Dynasty vs. Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel

As things broke down in this match, DH Smith was beating up Heath Slater on the outside. Kidd knocked Gabriel out of the ring, and went for a flip over the top rope. Unfortunately though, Slater slid off Smith and shoved him into Gabriel, causing Kidd to land on Smith. Kidd tried to recover and got on the apron. He dropkicked Slater through the ropes, but Gabriel was able to deliver a kick to the back of Kidd's head. With Kidd down in the ring, Gabriel hit the 450 Splash to win it.

Winners: Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel win via pinfall over The Hart Dynasty.

Cena was backstage when R-Truth came into the locker room to talk to him. Truth told Cena he respected him for standing up to Barrett and tell him what he's gonna do after Survivor Series is over. Truth asked Cena what he's going to do for the match though.

Vladimir Kozlov vs. Sheamus

Sheamus was introduced first and said last week's big upset victory by Santino was Sheamus beating himself, not Santino beating him. Sheamus called Santino out to compete again. Santino arrived out from backstage, saying due to Trick-or-Treating last night and all the candy he ate, he can't compete or he'll throw up in Sheamus' face. So instead, he called out a replacement: Vlad Kozlov. Kozlov got on the mic telling Sheamus "you talk funny, now I crush you."

Late in the match, Kozlov did his headbutt to the chest multiple times on Sheamus, then shoved him against the ropes. As Sheamus came back, Kozlov booted him down then went for a pinfall. Sheamus got a leg on the ropes to break it. Santino was yelling out instructions to Kozlov, but Sheamus hit him with a double axe handle then came back with the Brogh Kick to win it.

Winner: Sheamus wins via pinfall over Vladimir Kozlov.

Post-match, Sheamus chased Santino up the ramp as he was backing up. Santino tried to bribe him with candy, cash, credit card and even a check. Sheamus knocked them all away and kicked Santino down on the top of the stage. As Sheamus set up Santino in the Celtic Cross, John Morrison rushed out from backstage. He kicked Sheamus in the chest to get him to drop Santino, then kicked Sheamus in the head causing him to fall off the stage. Santino did his trumpet celebration up on the stage as Morrison looked at him.

Backstage, Orton was walking down the hall when R-Truth approached him. He told Orton that Cena seems to have his mind made up. Truth said Cena is going to look Orton in the eyes and count Barrett champion 1,2,3. Orton suggested that Truth be his partner tonight so they can see how Cena treats his friends. Orton said they'll probably find that Cena has no friends.

Mark Henry was talking on a cell phone backstage saying things haven't been the same since his tag partner Evan Bourne got hurt. He said he's not just his tag partner but his best friend. Pee Wee Herman was there on another cell phone next to him telling him a story. Henry asked Pee Wee for a big hug. Henry started bear hugging Pee Wee and squeezing the life out of him. Pee Wee then suggested a game of Diva Twister to cheer Henry up. Eve, The Bella Twins and Melina were all there to play. Pee Wee cut a promo about his current live show, and then former WWE Diva Lita came in as part of the segment. The divas asked Pee Wee and Lita to come give them a hand, so Lita bumped one of the divas with her hip knocking everyone over. Pee Wee and Lita left the scene with all the divas and Mark Henry laughing on the floor.

Ezekiel Jackson vs. Zack Ryder

Big Zeke manhandled Zack after some early offense from Ryder. After pressing Zack overhead and slamming him to the mat, Ryder kicked Zeke in the leg. However, Ezekiel was unphased and hit his one armed slam to win the match quickly and easily.

Winner: Ezekiel Jackson wins via pinfall over Zack Ryder.

Justin Roberts introduced the star of his own Broadway Show, Pee Wee Herman. Pee Wee gave his secret word of the night "Ring" and told people to all scream whenever they hear it the rest of the night. As Pee Wee kept talking, The Miz's theme music came on and The Miz arrived to the ring with Alex Riley.

Miz told Pee Wee he was always a Masters of the Universe type guy. Pee Wee told Miz why don't you marry him then. Miz kept saying the word Ring so Pee Wee and everyone was screaming. Miz kept threatening Pee Wee, so he told Miz he was starting to anger him. Pee Wee said his cousin is there with him. Miz said to bring him out then. The Big Show's music started up, but then changed into Pee Wee's theme music. Show came out dressed like Pee Wee Herman. Riley tried to charge at Show but he grabbed him around the neck. Miz came to try to help, so Show grabbed him around the throat too and shoved both guys out over the top rope.

The Raw GM sent another email which Cole read. It said The Miz wasn't getting out of this so easy, and he'll be facing Pee Wee's cousin in the ring, The Big Pee Wee. Pee Wee and Big Show started dancing in the ring to Tequila.

Big Show vs. The Miz

Miz built some momentum towards the end of the match, but show regained control. With Miz in one corner, Show went to the opposite corner and prepared for a running hip slpash. Miz avoided him by moving away. Riley got up on the side apron with the MITB briefcase, and Show knocked him off. The briefcase landed in the ring, so Miz picked it up and hit Show in the gut with it. The ref quickly called for the bell, giving Big Show the victory by DQ.

Winner: The Big Show wins due to disqualification of The Miz.

They showed another Stand Up for WWE video package. This one included Raw guest host celebrities talking about how great WWE is. Celebs included Dennis Miller, Florence Henderson, Bob Barker, Jeremy Piven, Jon Lovitz, Ced the Entertainer, Johnny Knoxville and Jewel. Lawler said now's the chance to show everyone who's been against WWE just how great an organization it is. For more info on how to help visit WWE.com.

John Cena was in the locker room backstage with Wade Barrett giving him a talk about tonight's match. Barrett said after tonight's victory, Cena can clean up his locker room, then scrub his back. Barrett walked off laughing. David Otunga walked in and told Cena he'll be raising his hand tonight because he's got more talent than anyone in Nexus, including Cena. Cena shook his head as Otunga walked off.

Daniel Bryan vs. Ted Dibiase

Dibiase arrived to the ring along with Maryse. Bryan gained momentum late in the match with kicks to Dibiase. However as Bryan charged from the ropes, Dibiase caught him for a Spinebuster and a near fall. As Bryan tried to get up near the ropes, Dibiase went for Dream Street. Daniel Bryan was able to slip out and counter, putting Dibiase into the Labelle Lock. Dibiase soon tapped out. Maryse was upset on the outside of the ring. Maryse got into the ring and said "this is not happening." Dibiase yelled at her to shutup and said he can't concentrate without his title, meaning the Million Dollar belt.

Winner: Daniel Bryan wins via submission over Ted Dibiase.

Michelle McCool and Layla of Team Laycool came out from backstage talking about how they feel the superstars and divas don't love them so much anymore. They said they don't care about them though, they care about the WWE Universe. Michelle McCool and Layla got into the ring. They said they'd give Natalya another shot at the divas title at Survivor Series, but only if she can beat Michelle tonight. Natalya arrived out ready for the match.

Natalya vs. Michelle McCool

Michelle gained momentum after Natalya had an impressive start. With Natalya down on the mat, Michelle wrapped a legscissors around Natalya's gut. The ref finally had to break the hold when he saw Michelle holding the ropes for leverage. At one point, Natalya almost locked the Sharpshooter on Michelle, but she managed to crawl out of the ring. Choas ensued on the outside, as Natalya was able to grab Layla and catapult her into Michelle. As Michelle got back into the ring, Natalya scored a quick rollup on Michelle for the win.

Winner: Natalya wins via pinfall over Michelle McCool to earn a Divas Title shot at Survivor Series.

They showed an odd segment with Freddie Prinze Jr. as a doctor in a hospital room saying "How's my favorite patient doing today? Still in that coma." He added "poor guy's gonna miss the election," and then the camera revealed that the patient was Vince McMahon laying unconscious on the bed.

Raw returned with the Vince McMahon segment. The doctor said even though he doesn't get a lot of visitors, at least his wife visits. Freddie Prinze, Jr. said Linda is very composed considering she spent $50 million on the campaign. All of a sudden, Vince woke up and angrily asked "$50 million on what?!" Vince said he hates politics, but as long as everything is ok in the WWE he's fine. Freddie Prinze filled Vince in that Undertaker's been buried, John Cena's in Nexus and Goldust is getting married.

Vince said next he'll tell him that Daniel Bryan's the US Champion. Freddie gave Vince a look to confirm it. Vince then said he needed to go to the bathroom. As he got up, he said if his wife can run for US Senate, maybe he can run for President of the United States. As Vince left, his open bathrobe revealed a Richard Blumenthal banner covering his backside.

The scene cut to Stephanie McMahon sitting up in bed after turning on a light. She said "I just had the strangest dream," then asked someone who wasn't shown (HHH) if her dad's still in a coma. HHH said "yea pretty sure he's brain dead." Stephanie shut off the light.

John Cena arrived out wearing a referee shirt for the main event tag match.

Randy Orton & R-Truth vs. David Otunga and Wade Barrett

Orton stared down Cena several times over questionable calls. As he did though, Barrett was able to use the distraction to attack Orton from behind.

Barrett took control against Truth later in the match, beating down on him, then tagged in Otunga for more punishment. Otunga had a near fall with Truth kicking out. Moments later the two guys collided in the air with flying bodypress moves. Both men tried to crawl over to make tags. Orton got into the ring so Cena went over to get him out of there. As they were discussing it, Otunga made a tag to Barrett. Cena didn't see it, so he turned and told Barrett to get out of the ring. Meanwhile, Orton hit the RKO on Otunga behind Cena's back. Orton rushed over to beat up Barrett, causing him to roll to the outside. R-Truth collected a winning pin on David Otunga.

Outside the ring, Barrett yelled at Cena near the bottom of the ramp. Cena said he didn't see any tag made. Orton smirked near the crowd, then got back into the ring to stare at Barrett and John Cena on the ramp as Raw ended.

Winners: Randy Orton and R-Truth win via pinfall over David Otunga & Wade Barrett.

WWE Superstars Results 10/28/10

WWE Superstars Results 10/28/10:

Scott Stanford was on hand with Jerry Lawler to open Superstars. Stanford brought up how Smackdown beat Raw at Bragging Rights, prompting Jerry Lawler to tell him to shutup about it. Mark Henry arrived out first to start the show.

Mark Henry vs. Jey Uso

Tamina and Jimmy Uso arrived along with Jey for the match. Henry took the early advantage in the match using power moves, but Jey managed to knock him against the bottom ropes. Moments later the ref was distracted by Tamina as Jimmy rushed over to the side to kick Henry in the head. Jey's pinfall attempt failed and Henry became enraged. He got up to press Jey and let him drop to the mat, but then missed on the sit splash.

In the closing moments of this one, Jey went to the second rope but missed on the flying splash as Henry rolled away. Henry gained momentum afterwords, hitting a big boot and he was eventually able to hit the World's Strongest Slam for the win. Stanford said "Goodnight Irene." Tamina and Jimmy talked some trash to Henry as they moved around the outside of the ring.

Winner: Mark Henry wins via pinfall over Jey Uso.

Tyson Kidd vs.

Stanford and Lawler talked about how there looks to be trouble in the Hart Dynasty following what happened on Raw weeks ago where they lost to Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes. Stanford talked about how this must be affecting Natalya as she tries to capture the divas title.

Tyson went for a Sharpshooter early on, but Ryder managed to crawl over to the bottom ropes. Things continued after a commercial break. Kidd managed to trip Ryder onto the bottom rope, then jumped over the top rope to hit a leg drop on him. As Kidd was standing up outside the ring, DH Smith rushed down to ringside. He began to argue with Kidd who told him to get out of there. Natalya rushed down to try to smooth things out but to no avail. Ryder moved as Kidd went for a springboard move, then rushed back to hit the Rough Ryder.

Natalya sent Smith backstage then went into the ring to try to comfort Kidd about the loss.

Winner: Zack Ryder wins via pinfall over Tyson Kidd.

MVP vs. Curt Hawkins

Matt Striker and Todd Grisham of Smackdown took over the commentary duties now. They talked about how Smackdown has Bragging Rights after the big PPV victory. Striker mentioned how Hawkins is arrogant and acts like he's better than the rest of the roster yet only has been in the WWE for a few "minutes" really.

In the late stages of this one, Hawkins knocked MVP to the mat, then climbed to the corner turnbuckle. MVP got up and ran to the corner as Hawkins jumped at him. He returned to hit the Playmaker taking Hawkins down for the pinfall win.

Winner: MVP wins via pinfall over Curt Hawkins.

Superstars returned with a highlight promo video on the current US Champion, Daniel Bryan of Raw. Todd Grisham and Matt Striker talked about how Bryan impressed at Bragging Rights and the next night on Raw.

They introduced the Raw Rebound which featured highlights of John Cena versus Randy Orton, with the winning side getting to choose the special referee for Barett vs Orton WWE Title match at Survivor Series 2010. Cena won when Barrett interfered and got Orton DQ'd. Barrett announced that his special guest referee will be John Cena at Survivor Series. He said if he wins the WWE Title, Cena is relieved of his obligation to Nexus. However, Barrett said if he's not victorious he'll fire Cena on the spot.

Chris Masters arrived to the ring for the main event sporting a shiner under his left eye. Grisham and Striker said it occurred last week during his tag match.

Chris Masters vs. Tyler Reks

The match started with just about five minutes left on Superstars after commercial. Masters took advantage early with several moves, causing Reks to roll to the outside. Reks recovered and Masters went to fetch him. Reks was ready though and bear hugged Masters before smashing him into the ringpost. From there, he took control inside the ring.

Reks continued to stay in control for some time, until Masters gave him several shots to the face and chest. Masters shifted his weight as Reks tried to pick him up, but the pinfall didn't get to 3. Masters started building momentum on a collection of punches to take down Reks. He went from the second rope and hit a shoulder tackle to take him down, then tried to put the Masterlock on. Reks slammed him back into the turnbuckle, then kicked his lower back. Reks was able to hoist Masters up on his shoulders and hit his finisher to win it.

Winner: Tyler Reks wins via pinfall over Chris Masters.

WWE Superstars Results 10/07/10

WWE Superstars Results 10/7/10:

Smackdown's Todd Grisham opened the show announcing a main event from Raw for later of The Usos versus the Hart Dynasty. Chris Masters arrived out for the opening contest. Matt Striker and Grisham spoke about the week past including John Cena joining Nexus and Wade Barrett becoming #1 Contender for the WWE Title.

Chris Masters vs. Vance Archer

Archer was accompanied to the ring with Curt Hawkins. Masters nearly had the Masterlock on Archer during the first part of the match, but Archer was able to fling him out of the ring over the ropes as the show took a break.

In the closing moments, Archer and Masters fought on the outside. Archer went for a huge running clothesline, but Masters ducked it and Archer leveled Curt Hawkins instead. As Archer was back on the apron and Masters was in the ring, Hawkins yelled at him for what happened. Meanwhile, Masters grabbed Archer from behind in the Masterlock and pulled him into the ring, keeping the lock tight. Eventually the ref called for the bell as Archer was out of it.

Post-match, Hawkings got in the ring with Archer still down. He kicked Archer in the head, then went to the corner turnbuckle and hit his flying elbow drop on Archer before leaving the ring.

Winner: Chris Masters wins via submission over Curt Hawkins.

Grisham introduced this past Tuesday's episode of NXT which was exclusively on WWE.com. They showed the rookie diva talent show with Aksana's special pushups, AJ's flexibility, Jamie planting a kiss on matt striker, and Kaitlyn drawing a portrait of Vickie Guerrero and Maxine getting smashed in the face with a pie she made for Hornswoggle. Kaitlyn won the competition due to crowd response. Later on, the first elimination was Jamie Keyes who is partnered with The Bella Twins.

Darren Young vs. William Regal

Regal was announced as the 2008 King of the Ring. Jerry Lawler was joined by a new commentataor, Scott Stanford, who predicted a technical matchup tonight. King said you can expect that from Regal at least. Stanford talked about Regal's pet lizards and how Regal's been in the business for a good 15 years.

Young caught major momentum late in the match, with several takedowns including a huge dropkick for a near fall. Regal rolled to the outside to recover, so Young made the mistake of getting to the apron. Regal swiped his leg causing Young to fell on his back on the apron. Regal got back into the ring and as Young was getting in, Regal rushed to hit the Knee Trembler on him for the pin.

Winner: William Regal wins via pinfall over Darren Young.

Jerry Lawler and Scott Stanford talked about the upcoming Alberto Del Rio vs Rey Mysterio match for Friday's Smackdown. Stanford introduced the Raw Rebound with John Cena and his "new Nexus buddies." The highlights were seen of Cena being required to join Nexus on Monday night, and participate in a match as Michael Tarver's tag partner. Later on, Cena was ordered by the Raw GM to do as Barrett told him or get fired from WWE. Barrett ordered Cena to help him win a battle royal later on. Cena did so, eventually eliminating himself from the contest so Barrett could win and become #1 Contender for Randy Orton's WWE Title.

The Hart Dynasty arrived out without Natalya. King noted that DH and Tyson have had some tension between them lately.

The Hart Dynasty vs. The Usos

Stanford was able to identify Jimmy Uso in the ring based on hairstyle. He talked about Natalya not being present and how she didn't win the Divas title this past Sunday due to Layla's interference in the match.

The Hart Dynasty started off strong with Tamina watching and encouraging the Usos. At one point Kidd did some impressive work jumping onto the apron and then swinging through the ropes to dropkick Jey Uso down. From there, Kidd rushed across the ring, came off the ropes and then did a diving flip out onto both Usos as Superstars went to break.

After break, Kidd struggled but finally got away to make a hot tag to DH Smith. Smith came in with a huge boot to Jey Uso followed by a leg drop. He knocked Jimmy off the apron, then went outside to toss Jey back in. As DH tried to get into the ring, Tamina grabbed his leg to stop him. DH turned to glare at her and got bashed down from behind by one of the Usos.

The Usos gained control from there and worked a doubleteam on DH Smith, eventually bodyslamming him down. Scott Stanford continued to bring up that Natalya wasn't around for the match. Lawler said he wasn't sure why, but maybe they need to do a little more homework before arriving out to keep asking these things.

Kidd broke up a late match near fall by The Usos. As the ref got Kidd out of the ring, the Usos did a doubleteam attack for another near fall. Moments later, Smith was able to muster the strength for a suplex on Jimmy. Tyson tagged in with some quick, high-flying moves for a near fall. Kidd went to the corner and had an impressive variety of moves including a headscissors to bring his opponent down. The action broke down though with Kidd eventually tossing an Uso out of the ring onto his partner DH. As Kidd turned around he ate a big kick to the face, then the legal Uso hit a Samoan Splash from the corner.

DH and Kidd argued over the finish with Kidd inside the ring and Smith on the outside. Stanford asked King if this would cause more tension for the Harts, then said we'd "find out next time."

Winners: The Usos win via pinfall over The Hart Dynasty.

Raw Preview 09/20/10

With Sunday's Night of Champions results now official, the followup and fallout on Raw should be quite interesting. Tonight, WWE Raw will usher in a brand new champion, as the age of Orton officially begins! That's right, last night it was The Viper outlasting his five competitors in the ring to become the WWE Champion. Despite attempted distraction from Nexus, Wade Barrett couldn't get it done, and the champion Sheamus eventually fell victim to the RKO. Will Sheamus challenge for his rematch on tonight's Raw? What will Orton have to say regarding his victory?

Also at the Pay-Per-View, The Miz put his United States title on the line against his former NXT rookie, Daniel Bryan. Bryan had promised to make The Miz tap out to the Labelle Lock at Night of Champions, and did just that. After a tough matchup with his former mentor, Bryan managed to lock the hold onto The Miz and made him tap. Now Bryan has captured WWE gold early into his WWE career. Surely The Miz will want a rematch as soon as possible? Or will The Miz be focused on cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase for a shot at a bigger title?

Two other champions from Raw saw their belts change hands as well. In one match, Melina lost to Michelle McCool in the Divas/Womens Championship unification. McCool lost after interference from McCool's BFF Layla, taking away the divas title from Melina. Meanwhile, The Hart Dynasty were forced to compete in a Gauntlet Style "Tag Team Turmoil Match" with four other teams. In the opening match they were pinned by The Usos. However, in the end it was Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes winning the tag team titles. Will The Hart Dynasty get their rematch on Raw, Smackdown or elsewhere?

Check out tonight's episode of Raw starting at 9PM EST on USA for all the action!

Smackdown Results 09/17/10

Smackdown results from Detroit, MI:

On tonight's show Kane answers The Undertaker days ahead of Night of Champions and their World Heavyweight Title match. Also tonight, Christian takes on CM Punk. Christian was already in the ring to start off Smackdown with his Peep Show.

Christian started to speak in the ring, but was soon interrupted by Ricardo Rodriguez, the personal ring announcer for Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio came out in a black and white Bentley this time. Rodriguez got into the ring to announce him to the crowd. Christian welcomed Del Rio to the Peep Show.

Christian talked about Del Rio's fancy cars, suits and his own ring announcer. He brought up the hours and hours of boring intro videos Del Rio did before getting to Smackdown. He asked if Del Rio's more of a cheap fajita "all sizzle and no steak." Del Rio said the only thing to know about him is what he did to Rey Mysterio. Christian told Del Rio he's seen it all, heard it all and outlasted them all. He asked Del Rio if he's a flash in the plan, or as advertised.

Del Rio described himself as the man who's going to change WWE forever, bringing pride to his Mexican people. He said Christian will end up cleaning his houses and washing his dishes. Christian challenged Del Rio to a match at Night of Champions. Del Rio said "I don't think so," stating Christian would end up like a peasant just like all the fans there. He said the interview's over now, then touched Christian on the chin saying "about the match let me think about it." Del Rio started to leave, so Christian spun him around and slapped him. Alberto tore off his jacket, tossed it down, but paused without retaliating. He went up the ramp then stopped. Del Rio got on a mic and screamed that he's done with Christian, then said "my answer is no."

The Hart Dynasty vs. Drew McIntyre & Cody Rhodes

Grisham and Striker talked over how the Harts have had the tag titles for five months now. During the match, Cody tried to toss Kidd out of the ring. Instead, Kidd hung on to the top rope and flipped back in, then dropkicked Cody through the ropes. As Cody was recovering, Natalya came around the ring and stood behind him, then slapped him in the face.

After break, Smith and Kidd ran a doubleteam on Drew McIntyre to give Kidd control. Drew was able to take over soon and worked a submission on Kidd's hands and arm. Kidd had an impressive array of moves using springboard off the ropes, but Rhodes distracted allowing McIntyre to kick Kidd off the apron. Rhodes tagged in and began to beat Tyson up.

Kidd began to make a comeback near the corner, but Rhodes caught him with a high spin kick from off the corner area. Drew tagged back in to beat on Kidd more. In the closing moments though, Smith put Rhodes into a near Sharpshooter, but Drew came in to interfere. Smith fought him off, causing Drew to roll outside the ring. Kidd and Smith went for the Hart Attack, but Drew grabbed Kidd's leg to trip him down as he came against the rope. Drew pulled Kidd out of the ring and smashed him into the commentators' table. Smith was distracted by all that, but went over to pick up Rhodes on a shoulder. Rhodes managed to shift his weight for a counter and came down to hit Cross Rhodes for the win.

Matt Striker noted that the tag titles will be defended on Sunday at Night of Champions, but there's yet to be an official match set.

Winners: Drew McIntyre & Cody Rhodes win via pinfall over The Hart Dynasty.

Kofi Kingston arrived to the ring. Kofi will challenge Dolph Ziggler for the IC title at Night of Champions. If Dolph is disqualified or counted out, he automatically loses the IC title on Sunday.

Kofi Kingston said everyone knows that one person is responsible for Dolph being IC champ, Vickie Guerrero. He called Vickie a loudmouth beast of a woman who Dolph hides behind as champion. Kofi reminded fans why their title match on Sunday is different, because Dolph can lose the title due to DQ or countout. Kofi said on Sunday he'll win the Intercontinental title and rid the WWE of the worst couple in WWE history. He guaranteed that on this Sunday there will be "Trouble in Paradise."

Jack Swagger arrived out for their matchup right before Smackdown went to commercial break.

Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger

Swagger went for an early ankle lock but Kofi kicked him away towards the ropes. Moments later, Swagger took control and went for it again, but Kofi flipped and tossed Swagger into the ropes. Kofi gained momentum after coming off the ropes when he flew through the air to level Swagger for a near fall.

Swagger was able to regain control and kept Kofi down on the mat in an arm hold with his knee pressed on Kofi's head. Kofi got to his feet to fight back, but Swagger knocked him down then tried to catapult Kofi out of the ring. Instead, Kofi skinned the cat, then went for a springboard move. Swagger caught Kofi then slammed him before a commercial break.

Swagger continued using a variety of submission holds and other grappling for near falls, but couldn't put the match away. Kofi managed to finally regain his energy, battling out of a Swagger hold. Swagger tried to toss him out, but Swagger held onto the ropes, avoided Swagger on a charge and kicked him in the chest several times. Kofi climbed the corner slowly and jumped off with a huge bodypress splash on Swag for the near fall.

Later, Swagger ducked Trouble in Paradise, then got the ankle lock on Kofi. Luckily for Kofi he managed to grab the bottom rope. He went to the outside to recover near the steps. Swagger came out of the ring and tried to dropkick the steps, but Kofi moved, then used the steps to jump off onto Swagger. Back in the ring he jumped up on the corner on Swagger for several punches. Swagger walked out with Kofi and went for the ankle lock, which Kofi managed to counter and kick him away.

Swagger went for his running splash from the corner, but Kofi put his legs up to kick him in the face. Moments later, he hit Trouble in Paradise for the big win heading to NOC.

Winner: Kofi Kingston wins via pinfall over Jack Swagger.

Grisham and Striker reviewed the highlights showing how Kofi won it, then questioned what might happen at Night of Champions this Sunday with Dolph Ziggler.

Striker and Grisham talked about how Smackdown GM Teddy Long is trying to help Hornswoggle to speak English. Two weeks ago he brought in a child psychologist to use shock therapy. They showed backstage where Teddy Long was with Hornswoggle in a classroom. A nun was there to help teach him. Teddy told the nun to just call him Horney. She told Teddy to sit down with Hornswoggle, then started a lesson on how to write "ABC". Both Swoggle and Teddy had to write it down, but Swoggle swapped papers with Teddy. She told Teddy his evil drawing of her was strike two against him, even though Horney drew it.

After Hornswoggle tossed a paper airplane at the nun from behind then blamed it on Teddy she prepared to use her ruler on Teddy's hand. Hornswoggle fessed up saying it was really him. The nun prepared to use the ruler on Horney, but Teddy grabbed it from here. Hornswoggle bit her arm, then ran and clapped two erasers in her face. She screamed that Hornswoggle needs an exorcism. The nun ran out in fear, as Teddy shook his head.

Rosa Mendes & Kelly Kelly vs. Michelle McCool & Layla

Kelly's season 3 NXT rookie Naomi accompanied Kelly and Rosa to the ring. Kaval came to the ring with LayCool. LayCool went after Naomi outside the ring early on, with Rosa and Kelly attacking them to start the match off.

Rosa tried to crawl away from Layla for a tag, but Layla stopped it then knocked Kelly off the apron. Kelly tried to get in the ring but the ref held her back, allowing Michelle to come in and kick Rosa from behind. Layla hit her finisher to win it.

Winners: Michelle McCool & Layla win via pinfall over Rosa Mendes & Kelly Kelly.

After a WWE Did You Know factoid, Striker and Grisham brought up the Night of Champions Six Pack Challenge which will feature the champ Sheamus defending against five others: Edge, Orton, Jericho, Cena and Barrett. A highlight video showed previous WWE/WWF champs including Stone Cold, Bret Hart and even Bob Backlund. The video package presented each of the challengers and champion with highlights of their in ring skills.

Backstage, LayCool was with Kaval. Layla and Michelle cut a promo to Melina. They said they have a plan about how to decide who will face Melina on Sunday. Michelle brought out her favorite hat and said she wrote down their names on a bunch of pieces of paper. Layla agreed whoever Kaval drew on the first drawing would face Melina Sunday. Kaval reached in and pulled out Michelle's name. In her excitement Michelle brought her arms up, knocking the hat out of Kaval's hand and all the papers to the floor. She slapped hands and hugged Layla then said she had to go prepare. Kaval picked up the pieces of paper from the floor and showed Layla all the papers said "Michelle." Layla was furious and said she's not surprised but Michelle will be when she's alone to face Melina.

CM Punk arrived to the ring for the next match, with Christian. Striker and Grisham discussed how Punk tangles with Big Show at Sunday's Night of Champions.

Christian vs. CM Punk

Alberto Del Rio joined Striker and Grisham at ringside for commentary. Del Rio wouldn't shake Grisham's hand but shook Striker's. When Grisham asked Del Rio about why he wouldn't accept Christian's challenge, Del Rio asked why Grisham was even talking to him.

In the ring, Christian took control after a slap to Punk's face. He stood on Punk's back against the middle rope, then dropped out of the ring to slap Punk again. Back in the ring, CM Punk kneed Christian in the gut to take control of things. Del Rio admired the match as Punk was winning.

Del Rio commented on Punk's in-ring abilities saying he has all the tools to beat a giant. Christian started to fight back a bit, but Punk kneed him then suplexed him gut first onto the ropes. CM Punk jumped from the corner to kick Christian off the apron as Smackdown went to break. Upon their return, Punk still had control.

Punk continued to dominate things as he hit a backbreaker on Christian. Moments later the two bumped heads in the corner and both fell to the mat for a ref's count. They both slowly came to and got up before 9. Punk got in the first attack with a kick but Christian slapped back. Christian kept using takedowns to knock Punk to the mat, then began to clap his hands. Punk went for the GTS, but Christian countered. He went for his Sunset Flip pin off the corner but Punk kicked out.

In the closing moments, both guys traded pinfall attempts. Punk took control again and taunted the crowd a bit in the corner before trying for his bulldog. Christian countered that and was able to slam Punk to the mat. He prepared to finish him off, but Del Rio was up with a mic in hand to get Christian's attention. Christian paused, allowing Punk to get him with the GTS for the win.

Del Rio grabbed a steel chair to bring into the ring. He sat it across Christian's throat as Christian was layed out on the mat still. He said on the mic "my answer's still no." Just then, Big Show's pyro went off and he charged down to the ring to get CM Punk, who ducked back into the ring. Punk rushed out of the ring as Del Rio threatened to hit Show with the chair. Punk slipped back in behind Show to attack. Del Rio exited and Show grabbed Punk. Punk kicked Show in the head to escape, but that attack wasn't enough. He rushed at Show in the corner only to get shoved off him. Moments later he suffered a KO punch from Show.

Winner: CM Punk wins via pinfall over Christian.

The World Heavyweight Champion Kane arrived to the ring. His agenda, to answer Undertaker's "No Holds Barred" stipulation he suggested for their Night of Champions matchup on Sunday. The Big Red Monster said Sunday will be the final chapter in the epic rivalry between he and Undertaker. He said this time the story won't end as it has before- with Taker returning and summoning the power of the darkside to vanquish his opponent. Kane said this time he will be the author of the Undertaker's demise.

Kane said the powers that were once Undertaker's now belong to him. Kane said on Sunday the plot he hatched thirteen years ago will have finalized, as Undertaker becomes a distant memory. He screamed that this time things end on his terms. Kane brought up Taker's No Holds Barred stipulation, saying it's exactly what he wanted. Kane said his brother's pride has played right into his hands, because there will be no rules Sunday.
Kane said at NOC, the Devil's Favorite Demon will make sure Undertaker "Rests In - ." Kane was cut off by Undertaker's bells, and then his theme music and entrance pyro. Kane looked up the ramp awaiting Taker's arrival. Taker walked out from backstage and down to the ring. However as Taker got down the ramp near the ring, the lights went out completely. As they came back on, Kane was standing on the ramp behind Undertaker. He used the World Title to shove into Taker's gut, then started the attack.

Kane dominated his brother as he beat him up near the crowd barrier and smashed him against the steel steps. Kane kept going with the beatdown, punching Taker in the face as he struggled, then throwing him face first to the ringpost before throwing more punches. Taker punched back but Kane rammed him into the barrier. As Taker got up, Kane whipped him towards the timekeeper's area, then smashed him face first onto the commentators table.

Back in the ring, Kane used Taker's own moves, including Snake Eyes, a huge boot to take him down, and then setting up for the Chokeslam. As Taker finally got up, Kane grabbed him by the throat and chokeslammed him to the mat then did Taker's own cutthroat signal. Taker struggled to get up again as Kane laughed about it. Kane grabbed Undertaker and hit the Tombstone Piledriver then laughed some more about it before he kneeled down Taker style. Kane's pyro exploded from the ringposts as his music played on to finish out Smackdown.

Todd Grisham noted that Chavo beat JTG just last week, prompting JTG to demand a rematch on Superstars.

In the late stages of the match, Chavo tossed JTG shoulder-first into the corner ringpost. He collected JTG from the corner then hit two suplexes before climbing the corner. Chavo went for the Frogsplash and hit it to collect the pinfall win.

Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole were now on hand to provide commentary for the next match. Cole said it's been quite a week for WWE.

Winner: Primo wins via pinfall over Yoshi Tatsu.

They showed the Raw Rebound which featured more of the Nexus vs Cena history. It culminated in this past Monday's in-ring meeting which Cena requested. Cena asked for a truce with Nexus similar to what they gave to Sheamus on Raw. Barrett said no way and instead told Cena to join Nexus. Cena said he couldn't do that. Barrett told him to leave the ring like a coward or suffer the worst beating in the ring ever. Cena walked up the ramp then turned back to tell Nexus he'll take down every last one of them whether its alone or with help. Cena then introduced the 6 other guys he brought together for his Summerslam team: Edge, Jericho, Great Khali, R-Truth, John Morrison, and Bret the Hitman Hart.

Cole and Lawler talked about Summerslam which will feature the 7-on-7 tag team match as well as Randy Orton facing Sheamus for the WWE Title.

The Hart Dynasty along with Natalya arrived out for the main event. Cole and Lawler talked about DH Smith and Tyson Kidd successfully defending the tag team titles against The Usos at Money in the Bank.

The Hart Dynasty vs. The Usos

After a commercial break, Tamida led The Usos to the ring for the main event match. Natalya and Tamina talked trash at each other from across the ring before the match got started.

The Usos had a pinfall on Kidd in the closing moments, but DH Smith rushed in to break it up. The ref backed him over to the apron again, as the Usos pulled a doubleteam attack on Kidd. After an exchange of offense, Kidd ducked a clothesline and he and The Uso clotheslined each other down. After several moments, they both made the tags to their partners.

DH Smith rushed in against Jey Uso, with Smith gaining momentum. After several takedowns, Smith went for a Sharpshooter. Tamina jumped up onto the apron to distract, so Natalya rushed around the ring and took her down. Smith gained control of Jey and tagged Kidd, who set up for a move from the apron. Jimmy rushed into the ring to attack Smith. Kidd did a springboard clothesline on Jey while dropkicking Jimmy. Kidd gained the pinfall victory for Hart Dynasty.

Winners: The Hart Dynasty wins via pinfall over The Usos.

Raw Preview 07/12/10

After last week's truce between John Cena and Wade Barrett didn't go down as planned, John Cena took out his frustrations on Darren Young. That choice resulted in serious consequences for the former WWE Champion. The anonymous Raw General Manager informed Cena that he would have to face Nexus in a 7-on-1 handicap match on tonight's episode. Cena continued to beat up Darren Young around the ring, and while he may have sent him a message, he's got six others to contend with tonight. Will Cena be able to respond to the challenge, or will Nexus once again give Cena a beatdown?

With the 2010 Money in the Bank PPV less than a week away, Raw superstars will be looking to get themselves prepared. One match in particular will be the Raw MITB ladder match. Currently there are seven competitors for the match: John Morrison, Randy Orton, Edge, Chris Jericho, Ted Dibiase, The Miz and Evan Bourne. After The Miz injured R-Truth on last week's Raw, there remains one spot left for the MITB match. Will another competitor qualify on tonight's show, or will the spot still be a mystery for Sunday's PPV?

The tag team known as The Usos is also preparing for the upcoming Pay-Per-View event where they will see their first title match. The Usos will be challenging The Hart Dynasty for the Unified Tag Team titles. After weeks of run-ins between the two teams, both will be looking to gain an advantage tonight. How will these two teams prepare themselves for the MITB PPV?

Catch Raw tonight at 9PM EST on USA for all the action heading into Sunday's Money in the Bank PPV!

Raw Preview 05.24.10

After last night's stunning conclusion to the Over the Limit Pay-Per-View (results), the WWE Champion was left layed out on the ramp. This came just moments after John Cena gave a final Attitude Adjustment to The Animal, sending him crashing down below. Cena was the winner of the WWE Title I Quit match, but soon learned that another opponent was waiting in the wings. The Celtic Warrior Sheamus emerged to once again show his dominance, delivering a huge boot kick to Cena's head, knocking out the champ. With the commentators and fans stunned, what will Cena's condition be when the WWE Raw show airs tonight? Will Cena seek retribution, or be too banged up from his match to appear on Raw?

Speaking of condition, fans may be wondering the same about Raw's Randy Orton. He and Edge fought in a tough match, ultimately ending in a double countout. However, during the match Orton seemed to sustain a difficult shoulder or arm injury. Orton continued to favor his arm as the match was in his control and was unable to deliver the RKO. Edge missed on a Spear attempt outside the ring, and ultimately Orton walked away, appearing to be hurt. Will we hear from Randy Orton on tonight's Raw? What will Edge have to saw about the double countout?

Also at Over the Limit, the Hart Dynasty managed to get their first successful title defense at a WWE PPV. They were able to defeat The Miz and Chris Jericho, despite the tag team's attempts to win at all costs. Natalya helped out a bit during the match, proving why she's a valuable asset to the team. The Hart Dynasty will continue to carry their titles on Raw, but the WWE Universe is also wondering about Bret Hart and the United States Championship. Will Bret defend the title again or will the title be retired? When will The Miz get his official rematch against The Hitman?

Check out WWE Raw tonight at 9PM EST on USA with special guest host, Jon Lovitz!

Raw Recap 05.10.10

Raw Recap from Pittsburgh, PA:

Raw opened with highlights from last week, when Edge hosted "The Cutting Edge". He provided an explanation of why he speared Orton during the #1 Contender match last week. Edge said he made a comeback on Smackdown and had a plan to go after Swagger and the World title. Edge said once he got drafted to Raw, his plan was upended, so he had to create a new one. He said he went after Orton and became the most talked about superstar on any brand. Guest host Wayne Brady came to the ring to experience what it's like to hype the crowd up. After he did his bit, Randy Orton hit the ring and RKO'd him. He went towards Edge, with Edge trying to convince him they need to unite again as Rated RKO. Orton wasn't having it. Edge ended up knocking Orton down in the corner, then went for the Spear. Orton surprised him with the RKO to close out Raw last week.

The Viper Randy Orton arrived out to start off this week's Raw. Lawler and Cole discussed how Orton is set to meet Edge at Over the Limit PPV in Detroit. Orton said he didn't accept Edge's offer last week, because he knows Edge sees him as a threat and just wants to keep him under control. Just as Orton was talking, a song started up and singer MeatLoaf came to the ring. Meatloaf said he had to come to the ring without introduction because he has a new album coming out tomorrow and has a song on it just for Orton. He said it was written by Jon Bon Jovi. Orton said he'd let him hum some of the new song. However, Meatloaf kept going on and on about it with Orton getting visibly upset. Finally, Orton had enough and RKO'd Meatloaf down.

Edge arrived out next onto the ramp. He asked Orton why he doesn't like celebs after assaulting Wayne Brady, Meatloaf, Seth Green or Freddie Prinze Jr. Edge said he complained to the WWE head office, and that they tweeted him back that from here on out the guest hosts will have no authority. Edge said that wasn't enough though, because he thinks the show needs a permanent GM, someone with experience and authority. Edge said the WWE brass agreed. Edge introduced the new permanent manager of Monday Night Raw, Vickie Guerrero. Vickie came out doing her "excuse me" screeching several times despite being loudly booed.

Vickie said despite her former relationship with Edge, she will be a true professional. She said the WWE does not condone attacking celebrities, so Orton will be reprimanded. Orton told her to come to the ring and reprimand him to his face. Vickie said tonight Orton will take on Edge and a partner of his choice in a 2-on-1 handicap match. Edge told Orton he'll see how he deals with threats.

Chris Jericho and The Miz were shown in discussion backstage. Cole said Jericho's in action next.

Members of the Pittsburgh Steelers were shown in the crowd. Cole and Lawler reviewed Orton delivering the RKO on Meatloaf at the start of the show. Cole said they confirmed that Vickie Guerrero is the permanent new GM of Raw.

DH Smith vs. Chris Jericho

If Jericho wins this match, he and The Miz will get a Unified Tag team title shot at Over the Limit. They showed last week how Hart Dynasty defeated Regal and Kozlov, but afterwords The Miz and Jericho attacked DH Smith.

Natalya accompanied Smith to the ring. Miz and Kidd were not at ringside. Cole and Lawler said that Miz will face Tyson Kidd later in the show. If Kidd wins, Miz will have to defend the US title against a Hart Dynasty member on next week's Raw.

In the closing moments of this match, Smith locked a Sharpshooter on Jericho. Jericho tried to crawl towards the ropes and eventually got to them to break it. Smith pushed the ref aside and Jericho raked Smith in the eye with the ref not seeing it. Jericho caught the stunned Smith with a Codebreaker from there to win it. Miz was shown backstage watching the match grinning.

Winner: Chris Jericho wins via pinfall over DH Smith. Jericho and The Miz will get a Unified Tag Team title shot at Over the Limit PPV.

Edge was shown backstage talking with Batista. Cole suggested maybe Edge is trying to recruit The Animal for his match against Orton. Lawler said John Cena will announced the Over the Limit stipulation tonight on Raw.

R-Truth vs. William Regal

Truth arrived to the ring with special guest host Flavor Flav. Flav added in some "Yeah boy's" along with Truth's rap entrance song. Flav spent some time in the ring hyping up the crowd before finally letting the match start.

The match was barely underway when Primo and Carlito hit the ring and knocked down R-Truth. After Primo hit a dropkick on him, Carlito did the Backstabber to take him down. Flavor Flav was briefly at the commentators table then said he wanted to go check on his boy.

Ted Dibiase arrived out to the top of the ramp and shook hands with Carlito and Primo. He handed each guy an envelope, probably a payoff, then looked down towards the ring at R-Truth.

Winner: R-Truth wins due to disqualification over William Regal when the Colons attacked Truth.

Raw returned with highlights of Divas Champion Eve Torres. Then they showed footage from earlier today, where Maryse was training with a karate or martial arts instructor in the ring so she could fight with Eve Torres. The instructor told Maryse she needs to try harder. Maryse took exception to that then slapped the guy in the face and kicked him hard in the leg, causing him to hit the mat.

Randy Orton was shown backstage in the locker room when Josh Matthews came in to interview him. He asked if Orton's concerned about who Edge selects about a partner in a handicap match. Orton said he's not concerned, but he'd like Vickie Guerrero to come to ringside for the match, so tonight can be a night she'll never forget.

An ad was shown for next week's Raw which will be "Out of this World". It will be hosted by former astronaut Buzz Aldrin and will be commercial free.

WWE Divas Alicia Fox and Gail Kim were seated at ringside for Zack Ryder's match. Ryder got on the mic and told them he's glad they came out again to support him. Ryder told Alicia she was looking exceptionally good tonight. Ryder told the Pittsburgh fans the last event they'll see before the arena is destroyed, is Ryder's first Raw victory.

Evan Bourne vs. Zack Ryder

In the late moments of the match, Ryder had control as he tried to smash Bourne face first to the turnbuckle. Bourne blocked it though, then avoided Ryder on a charge. Bourne did a running double knee to the jaw on Ryder then set up for Air Bourne. Alicia Fox jumped up on the apron to try to interfere, but Gail Kim came over and yanked her down. Alicia hit chin first on the apron, and Bourne connected on Air Bourne. He escorted Gail up the ramp after the victory. Alicia went over to check on Ryder.

Winner: Evan Bourne wins via pinfall over Zack Ryder.

They reviewed Cena defeating Wade Barrett in the Beat the Clock Challenge last week. Cena was about to announce his chosen stipulation for the WWE Title match against Batista at OTL PPV. Sheamus hit the ring and knocked Cena down to the mat before he could say what it was. Tonight, Cena will reveal the stipulation.

John Cena arrived to the ring to greet the Pittsburgh fans. Lawler and Cole noted that the Igloo will soon be tore down and a new stadium will be used so this is a moment they'll never forget. Cena said he wants to take this moment to thank Sheamus, because he gave him a week to think about the type of match he wants at Over the Limit. Cena said maybe Batista was right. Cena said he beat him at Last Man Standing in an intellectual way rather than using physicality. Cena said some saw it as an act of cowardice.

Cena said he's been called a lot of things, but is not a coward. Cena said tonight he'll prove it. Cena said he could be a coward and choose a stipulation for Batista to be blindfolded or handcuffed. Cena said he's got a fair and competitive match in mind, that will be very brutal. Cena said it will be the last time he faces Batista over the title too. Cena said if he loses to Batista at OTL, he'll forfeit his rematch clause. Cena said in 2 weeks the WWE Title match at OTL will be an "I Quit" match. Cena said he owes all this to Sheamus and would really like to thank him in person. He called out "the human jar of mayonaise".

Sheamus made his way out to the ramp after a few moments. Sheamus told Cena if he comes to the ring he'll leave him in no condition to compete at OTL. Sheamus asked Cena if he really wants him to come down there. Cena removed his shirt and then said he'd take his chances. Sheamus said that move will cost him his WWE Title. Sheamus began to make his way to the ring, and suddenly Batista rushed into the ring to attack. Cena tried to fight both guys off, but it was to no avail. Sheamus and Batista each got a piece of Cena. Batista beat Cena up outside the ring, ramming him into the pole. He tossed Cena back in to the ring to take a pump kick from Sheamus.

Batista got back in the ring and prepared for a Batista Bomb, but Mark Henry came charging down to the ring. He withstood Batista's attack, and was able to knock him out of the ring, then went to help Cena up.

Backstage, Vickie was texting someone when Edge walked in and said things are all set for his tag match against Orton. Edge said he wanted to make sure things were clear. He said last time he was on Raw, he said some mean things about her, but it was to get sympathy from the fans. He said it didn't work. Vickie said they could still be friends though. Edge suggested that Vickie be at ringside for tonight's match, but she said no way because Orton creeps her out. Vickie asked Edge to guarantee nothing will happen to her tonight. Edge suggested that Vickie can just fire Orton on the spot if he goes after her. Edge said tonight she can show everyone will see Vickie is not to be intimidated. Edge said also she can see the look on Orton's face when he's beat.

Tyson Kidd vs. The Miz

If Tyson Kidd can beat The Miz in this match, he gets a shot at the United States Title on next week's Raw from Canada. Miz landed several kicks on Kidd including one to send him out through the ropes. On Kidd's way back in from the apron, he was able to ram Miz in the gut, then jumped over the top rope with a unique Sunset Flip pinfall for a quick surprise win. Kidd rolled out of the ring and went to celebrate with DH Smith and Natalya on the ramp. Natalya had to adjust her top to avoid a "wardrobe malfunction."

Miz got on the mic and said if he lost the stipulation was he got to choose which member of the Harts he defends the US Title against. Miz said it won't be Kidd or Smith, and said as much as Natalya wants to wrestle around with him, it won't be her either. Miz said next week he chooses to defend the US title in Canada against Bret "The Hitman" Hart.

Winner: Tyson Kidd wins via pinfall against The Miz. The Miz chooses to defend his US Title against Bret Hart next week on Raw.

Josh Matthews caught up with Batista backstage. He asked about his upcoming match against Mark Henry. Batista asked if Josh heard he has an I Quit match against Cena at Over the Limit. Josh said yes. Batista said he won't make Cena say "I Quit" he'll make him scream it. He said to watch what happens to Mark Henry for proof.

WWE NXT's 8 rookies were shown in the ring. Cole said it's their last opportunity before the big vote determines the first elimination for tomorrow night.

John Morrison, Goldust, Santino Marella & Yoshi Tatsu vs. The WWE NXT Rookies

It was an 8 on 4 tag match featuring the NXT rookies against four Raw pros. Justin Gabriel gained the upperhand on Yoshi Tatsu with several takedowns, but David Otunga slapped Gabriel's back to get in on the action. He was able to continue beating down Yoshi for a near fall.

Otunga and Yoshi both made tags out, with Slater coming in to take a beating from John Morrison. Michael Tarver tried to get in the ring but Morrison grabbed him and threw him into Darren Young on the apron, so both guys hit the floor. Morrison prepared for a Starship Pain but Skip Sheffield came over on the apron to distract. Morrison went for it, but got double knees in the gut from Slater.

It ended up with Daniel Bryan tagging in and facing Santino Marella. He managed to roll Santino up for a small package pinfall to win it. Cole was surprised Daniel Bryan actually won. The NXT rookies hoisted Bryan up as the hero.

Winner: The NXT Rookies defeat John Morrison, Goldust, Santino Marella and Yoshi Tatsu via pinfall.

Flavor Flav was backstage with the Bella Twins hanging all over him asking him to explain his new show. He said it's like Twilight Zone and Tales from the Crypt. Nikki and Brea "oohed" and "ahhed" over it. Vladimir Kozlov and Santino came walking in arguing in their languages. Flav told them to speak English and asked what was up. Santino said he thinks he and Kozlov would make a good tag team, but Kozlov said Santino always loses. William Regal came in to collect Vladimir Kozlov. Flav said he thinks Santino should get to tell Kozlov what's up. Regal called Flav "ridiculous" so Flav and Santino joked that Regal can't even rap. Kozlov told him to "Bust a move" so Regal took the spotlight and did a poem about "Straight outta Blackpool". After he was done, Flav laughed at him and said "Yeah boy!" before everyone left Regal backstage.

Michael Cole and Lawler were back on camera with Cole saying "Vintage, Vintage" and then throwing in some "Yeah boy's". They discussed the matches announced so far for Over the Limit, including Big Show vs Swagger, Cena vs Batista, and Miz/Jericho vs Hart Dynasty for the Unified Tag titles.

Batista arrived to the ring with the spotlight on him. He sat in a steel chair in the ring to wait through a commercial break for the next match.

Mark Henry vs. Batista

Mark Henry looked puzzled as he got to the ring, because Batista was still seated in a chair. Henry started to get into the ring through the ropes, but The Animal got up and quickly attacked. With Henry down on the mat, Batista took the steel chair to bash repeatedly on Henry. He began to smash it repeatedly into Henry's shoulder, then locked a submission hold on Henry to stretch his arms back. Batista yelled to ask how Henry likes being vicious now. Mark Henry eventually passed out from it.

The ref tried to pull Batista off but had no luck. Another ref came in to help out. He finally released the hold with both refs clearing out of the ring. A trainer came in to check on Henry, with Batista trying to intimidate him. Batista kicked at Henry a few times saying "he's alright, he'll be ok". The Animal left the ring to stare at the fans near the ramp.

Winner: No contest, match never officially started.

Cole discussed with Lawler how what Batista just did will be completely legal at Over the Limit in an "I Quit" match. They discussed how chaotic Raw has been, including MeatLoaf getting RKO'd earlier in the night. Orton was shown walking backstage en route to the ring for the main event handicap match.

Edge & Mystery Partner vs. Randy Orton

Orton arrived to the ring first. Edge came out next with Vickie at the top of the ramp. Justin Roberts announced his tag team partner, Ted Dibiase. Dibiase arrived out to the ramp wearing the Million Dollar belt. Cole and Lawler talked about Dibiase inheriting a big trust fund upon either turning 30 years old or having his first Wrestlemania, which he did this past year.

Edge and Dibiase worked effectively early on to keep Orton under control. At one point, he smashed Dibiase down with a clothesline, but Edge had made a blind tag to Dibiase's back. Edge grabbed Orton for the faceplant. Vickie Guerrero was shown seated at ringside to enjoy the beatdown. Dibiase put a chinlock on Orton to try to wear him down, but Orton got to his feet and fought out of it. He caught Dibiase with a series of clotheslines, then elbowed Edge out of the ring. Orton caught Dibiase with a powerslam. Edge tried to get back up on the apron, with Orton knocking him off, causing Edge to hit the commentators' table.

With Edge knocked to the outside, Orton went for the RKO on Dibiase. Dibiase shoved him off but Orton came back to toss Dibaise out over the ropes to the floor. As Dibiase was recovering outside the ring, R-Truth came rushing down. Dibiase dove back into the ring, where Orton connected with the RKO to win it.

Winner: Randy Orton wins via pinfall over Ted Dibiase & Edge to win the 2-on-1 Handicap match.

With the ref checking on Dibiase, Orton slowly turned to start eying Vickie Guerrero at ringside. Vickie yelled at Edge to get up and looked horrified in her chair. Orton dropped to the mat and started his stalking moves, staring Vickie down. Vickie screamed for Edge, then grabbed a mic and screamed EDGE! and told Orton "Don't do it, I'm warning you!" Orton kept inching closer to her on the outside. Finally Vickie lost it and yelled "Alright, I resign!" Edge tried to attack Orton from behind, but Orton turned and caught him with the RKO to leave him flat on the floor. Raw ended with Orton staring out from the ring at Edge who was comatose on the outside floor.

Raw Preview 05.10.10

On last week's episode of Raw, WWE Champ John Cena and the current #1 contender, Batista, both competed in a "Beat the Clock challenge". The wrestler who won their match in the quickest time would receive the right to choose the stipulation for their WWE title match at Over the Limit. Batista originally was scheduled to wrestle The Miz, but Miz brought a doctor's note and substituted in his NXT rookie, Daniel Bryan. Bryan made an impressive showing but ended up losing to The Animal in a little over 5 minutes. John Cena was scheduled to wrestle Chris Jericho, who pulled the same stunt as Miz, substituting in his NXT rookie, Wade Barrett. Cena won his match and beat out Batista's time. However, just as Cena was to announce his chosen stipulation, he was attacked by Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior had also notified Batista that he wouldn't see the last of him. What will Sheamus do next? Will the WWE Universe learn Cena's stipulation on tonight's Raw?

Also last week, we saw a unification of two forces on Raw with The Miz and Chris Jericho forming some sort of partnership. Following The Hart Dynasty's match, Miz and Jericho made an immediate statement by attacking DH Smith while Tyson Kidd was hurt outside the ring. It appears that Miz and Jericho have formed a new tag team alliance, which was based on their dislike over Big Show as their former tag partner. Both wrestlers were tag champs, but claim Big Show was the weak link. Will this new Miz-Jericho union prove to be successful? Will they get a title shot at Hart Dynasty?

Finally, last week we saw newest Raw superstar, Edge, and the return of The Cutting Edge. The in-ring talk interview show was to feature The Viper, Randy Orton, as its first guest. Before that, Raw's guest host Wayne Brady decided to come to the ring and hobnob with Edge, before cutting his own promo as the best guest host ever. Orton soon hit the ring and when Brady extended a friendly handshake, he was instead hit with the RKO. From there, Edge attempted to reel Orton in and regain his trust, telling Orton he needed to rejoin him as a force on Raw. Edge urged him to do so or else he'd be hit with spear after spear, each week. Orton had no verbal response, but seemed ready for payback on the Rated-R Superstar. Edge was able to avoid an RKO and then booted Orton down. The Spear seemed inevitable, but The Viper was ready to strike, as he turned and delivered the RKO on Edge in the middle of a spear attempt. These two forces will meet at Over the Limit, but who will get the next shot in on Raw?

Raw Recap 04.03.10

Raw Recap from Jacksonville, FL:

Raw opened with the highlights from last week's main event on the Raw WWE Draft show - the Triple Threat match for the #1 Contender spot. Orton, Batista and Sheamus battled for the chance to face Cena for the WWE Title. Orton had the match won, but the newest draft pick for Raw, Edge, came in and speared Orton down to allow Batista to get the winning pinfall. They showed the opening Raw theme song video, but now with some of the new draft picks merged in such as R-Truth, Morrison, Edge and Jericho.

Tonight we see the return of "The Cutting Edge" when Edge has special guest Randy Orton in the ring.

The Animal Batista made his way down to the ring in wrestling attire. He had the spotlight shine down on him. Batista complained about having to win the #1 contender spot when he should already be WWE Champion, again. He got on the crowd about them not understanding what a Last Man Standing match is. He complained about how Cena won the match, not by beating him brutally or decisively. Batista had them show footage of what happened 8 days ago at Extreme Rules when Cena used duct tape to win the match. Batista called it the most embarassing moment of Cena's life, saying duct tape is something Hornswoggle would do.

Batista said he and Cena are in a Beat the Clock challenge tonight to see who determines the stipulation for their next PPV match at Over the Limit. Batista said for them to bring out his opponent, The Miz, but instead Sheamus arrived to the ring. Sheamus said he won his match at Extreme Rules, but Batista didn't. Sheamus also bragged about taking out HHH which Batista could never do. Sheamus said he deserves the WWE title match then, not Batista. He challenged Batista to a match tonight. Sheamus said if Batista wins, he'll shut up, but if Sheamus wins he gets Cena at over the Limit for the title. Batista told Sheamus he lost the match so to get out of his ring. Sheamus stayed put staring him down. Sheamus told Batista if he thinks this is over, he's wrong, and he'll be WWE Champ sooner than Batista thinks.

The Miz vs. Batista
Beat the Clock Challenge match #1

Batista and Cena will each have a match. Whoever has the better time chooses the stipulation for their WWE Title match at Over the Limit PPV.

The Miz arrived to the ring in street clothes after a commercial break. He told Batista he can't compete after the trauma to his face after being sucker punched last week won't allow him to do it. Miz said he's got a doctor's note to prove it, and held up an envelope saying "Doctor's Note". Miz said he's got a diagnosis saying he can't compete. Miz said he's got just the guy for Batista to face instead, his NXT rookie, Daniel Bryan. Batista started laughing as Bryan came to the ring. Miz joked and told Bryan to put up a fight this time and not lose in 30 seconds. Bryan yanked the mic away and said he'll do one better- make Batista tap out.

The bell and clock started. Bryan had a near fall and a submission hold. Batista escaped out of the ring for a breather. The Animal got back in and went on the attack, hammering away in the corner on Bryan. Bryan came back with a sleeperhold in the corner, but Batista ended up tossing him off. The clock moved past the 2 minute mark as Batista whipped Bryan to the corner. Bryan came back with a kick then put a guillotine submission on. Batista tossed him up and over across the ring, but was holding his throat. Batista tossed Bryan to the outside for some damage, then back in the ring at the 3 minute mark to deliver a hard clothesline.

Bryan put a near STF on Batista near the ropes. The Animal struggled as Bryan locked it in, and eventually he grabbed the bottom rope. Finally, Batista kicked Bryan in the knee, then speared him down before delivering the Batista Bomb to win at the 5:06 mark.

Batista, clearly angered by his final time, delivered a few more Batista Bombs on Daniel Bryan after the match.

Winner: Batista wins via pinfall over Daniel Bryan at 5:06 in the Beat the Clock Challenge.

They revealed the Cena must face Chris Jericho for his Beat the Clock challenge. Also guest host Wayne Brady will be up next.

When Raw returned, the new Divas champion, Eve Torres, was posing for some photos with her new belt. Guest host Wayne Brady came up and they hugged, he said she's his favorite diva. Jillian Hall came up and said that maybe tonight she could sing his theme song for him. She started singing "Wayne" for "Fame". Wayne pretended to dance with her then danced her out through an exit way and closed the curtain. Brady said bye to Eve and left. Eve turned to look for her title but it was missing. Just then, Maryse clocked her with the divas belt knocking out Eve. Maryse brushed the title off then walked off with it.

Edge was shown walking backstage with a WWE staffer, talking about what he wanted included for tonight's "Cutting Edge". The man said they couldn't have both things Edge asked for. Just then, Josh Matthews walked up to interview him. He asked about what Orton might do tonight to get revenge on what Edge did last week. Edge said WWE is rated PG right now, but he's Rated-R. He said he won't let the WWE staff or Josh Matthews tell him how to do his show. He said he's going to start controversy tonight with his guest Orton.

"Crash" by Fit for Rivals is the official theme song for Over the Limit PPV.

John Morrison vs. Ted Dibiase

They showed what went down between Dibiase and R-Truth in the locker room last week. Dibiase asked Truth to be a confidant, carry his bags, etc. Truth said it sounds like he wants a Virgil. Dibiase said he'd pay him a lot of money to do what he tells him. Truth asked for some time to think then slapped him saying "Truth don't play that."

Dibiase addressed what happened in the ring, saying Truth probably makes decent money in WWE, but what's he going to do, sing? The crowd started the "What's up" chant as Dibiase mocked it. Dibiase said he's going to hire a personal associate who will slap some sense into Truth.

Morrison gained momentum during the match and was able to clothesline Dibiase out over the ropes. Dibiase started to recover and Morrison hit a springboard flip from the top rope out onto Dibiase. Morrison held his gut, then climbed back in the ring. Dibiase started towards the ring at 8, then waved it off and walked up the ramp to get counted out. Morrison got the mic and told Dibiase to come back down to the ring so they could restart the match. Dibiase shrugged that idea off and started to head to the back. Morrison told him to wait, then said if Dibiase beats him, he'll be his Virgil. Dibiase turned around looking back down to the ring, then went back to the ring.

Dibiase tried to put Morrison away late in the match with a hard clothesline and another near fall on Morrison. Morrison continued to be resilient. Dibiase went for Dream Street, but Morrison managed to jump up on the corner with Dibiase still locking the hold on. Morrison was able to propel himself backwards and press Dibiase's shoulders to the mat to pin him. Dibiase was shocked. He attacked Morrison after the match, bringing R-Truth down to go after Dibiase. Dibiase escaped out of the ring and backed up the ramp as Truth helped Morrison get up.

Winner: John Morrison wins via pinfall over Ted Dibiase.

Cole and Lawler reviewed highlights of the Daniel Bryan versus Batista match which Batista won with a time of 5:06. Cena must beat that time to be able to choose the stipulation for their Over the Limit PPV match.

WWE Rewind showed Chris Jericho going off on someone backstage on Smackdown after losing a match to Kofi Kingston. He then yelled at the off camera person "are you listening to me now? yea typical." Just then the camera revealed Big Show who delivered a KO punch to lay out Jericho. Show said "yeah, I heard you."

Chris Jericho also arrived out for his match wearing street clothes. With a mic in hand, he stayed up on the top of the ramp. Jericho said he wasn't going to pull himself from the match for the excuse Miz did. Jericho said he's going to pull himself from the match, because he's beaten Cena plenty of times already so he doesn't need to do it again. Jericho said he handpicked an opponent who's been begging for a chance to embarass Cena in front of the fans tonight. Jericho introduced his NXT rookie, Wade Barrett. Jericho told Cena he's not going to beat the clock. Barrett took the mic and said "you're not going to beat me period" then headed to the ring.

John Cena vs. Chris Jericho
Beat the Clock Challenge match #2

The clock ticked down with Cena required to beat Batista's time of 5:06. Cena had Barrett up for the Attitude Adjustment at around 4:10. Jericho got on the ramp to provide distraction, so Cena kicked him down with one leg, then tossed Barrett out over the top rope onto Jericho. Cena tossed Barrett back in the ring, but with the ref impaired checking on Barrett, Jericho grabbed Cena to prevent him from getting in. Cena turned and punched down Jericho, but then Barrett delivered a running kick to send Cena into the commentator table. Barrett started hammering away on Cena. Jericho went over and screamed at Michael Cole asking if he saw what Barrett was doing.

Around 2:40, Barrett was in control and had a near fall. He followed up by stretching Cena's arms back in a submission. Jericho again went over and yelled at Lawler about how good Barrett was. Cena powered out of the hold and got to his feet to go against the ropes, but Barrett delivered a big boot kick for a near fall. At 1:20 he hit a backbreaker on Cena for another near fall. Jericho screamed at Lawler to talk about how great Barrett was in the ring, treating Cena like a toy. The clock ticked down after 0:40. Cena surprisingly recovered to slap the STF on Barrett causing him to tap at 0:27. Cena wins the Beat the Clock challenge.

Cena got the mic and said he won't waste any time in announcing the match he has against Batista at Over the Limit. Just as Cena was about to announce the match, Sheamus rushed to the ring. Wade Barrett sat up and tried to grab Cena's leg to hold him there. Cena pushed Barrett out of the ring, but got clocked by Sheamus in the head after. Sheamus delivered a boot kick to lay out Cena on his back, then left the ring. Cena never announced what the OTL match would be. Cena sat up in the ring as Sheamus stared down at him from the ramp.

Winner: John Cena defeats Wade Barrett via pinfall with 0:27 seconds remaining to win the Beat the Clock Challenge.

Nikki Bella vs. Maryse

Nikki was accompanied by sister Brie who wore a different outfit then her twin. Nikki took control early after flipping Maryse down, then smashing Maryse into the corner several times. The fight went outside the ring, and Nikki tried to come back with a move off the corner. Maryse was up though and threw Nikki off the corner. Maryse delivered the French Kiss DDT for the pinfall victory.

Maryse got a mic and said something in French, then laughed. Maryse said she wants to promote her new photo shoot "Maryse - The sexiest of sexy". The photos showed Maryse posing with the Divas belt, laying near the fallen Eve. Maryse said on the mic "Eve, I've never seen you look so good." Eve charged down the ramp to the ring. The ref held her off, and Maryse escaped out of the ring to back up the ramp. Maryse taunted her from the ramp as she giggled about it and went backstage.

Winner: Maryse wins via pinfall over Nikki Bella.

Raw returned with divas Gail Kim and Alicia Fox seated next to the commentators table. Ryder was in the ring saying the big news of the draft was that "he's still on Raw." Ryder said he's now single and ready to mingle. He said that's why he invited these two hot divas to watch him beat Primo tonight. Ryder said for Primo to not make him act like a governor from Arizona and check his papers. Just then, guest host Wayne Brady appeared up on the big screen. He told Ryder he couldn't think of an opponent better for Ryder than this man. Mark Henry arrived out as Ryder yanked his sunglasses off in surprise.

Mark Henry vs. Zack Ryder

Henry started slamming Ryder out of the gates. He went for a big splash in the corner, but Ryder avoided it then started to go after Henry. He connected with a missile dropkick off the corner, but not the pinfall. Ryder hit the Rough Ryder leg lariat for another near fall. Henry recovered to smash Ryder in the corner, then dropped him down a few times. Ryder escaped off Henry's shoulder at one point then went to punch Henry. Henry stopped his fist, then picked up Ryder for World's Strongest Slam. Alicia Fox and Gail just shook their heads at Ryder. Henry posed for the crowd victorious.

Henry went over to Gail and Alicia and the two divas left with him.

Winner: Mark Henry wins via pinfall over Zack Ryder.

Chris Jericho and The Miz were shown backstage talking about how they both got punched by Big Show. They both started to complain about having to partner with Big Show. Jericho said he and Miz each carried Show as their tag partner. Miz said there's nothing they can do about it, now that Show's on Smackdown. Jericho said there is something they can do, he's got a "strategy". The two walked down the hall conversing.

Vladimir Kozlov was backstage saying how he's glad that Wayne Brady doesn't act foolish like MacGruber did as host. Brady agreed with him, but then Santino came up in a big black wig and 70's clothes. Brady asked what was up, and Santino said he's from his family, the Brady Bunch. Brady said neither one of them could be on the show because of the fact they're not white. Santino suggested Brady team him up with Vladimir Kozlov tonight, but just then William Regal arrived in. He said that he and Kozlov will be teaming up. Santino questioned that and told Vlad that Regal betrayed him on ECW. Regal said they've patched up their differences, then told "Dear boy" Kozlov to come along. Santino said "Regal, Regal, Regal" stomped his foot and left. Brady turned to an off camera person and asked if they're supposed to be Alice. The camera showed Goldust dressed in a maid's outfit. Goldust said "Who's Alice? I'm Goldust witch!" after blowing air in Brady's face.

Michael Cole and Lawler reviewed some of the Supplemental draft picks Raw received last week including Great Khali, Ezekiel Jackson and the Hart Dynasty with Natalya. Hart Dynasty is in action next.

WWE Slam of the Week showed how Hart Dynasty won the tag titles last week on Raw after defeating ShowMiz.

The Hart Dynasty vs. Vladimir Kozlov & William Regal

Chris Jericho and The Miz joined Cole and Lawler on commentary for the tag match. The Miz informed Cole the only reason they lost the unified tag titles because of Big Show, not him. Cole complimented Miz on his house, as seen on WWE.com. The Miz and Jericho discussed how Big Show was the weak link in their tag teams.

Michael Cole brought up during the match that Jericho has over 100,000 twitter followers and Miz only has like 65,000. Jericho told Cole to stop talking about irrelevant points like a jackass.

DH Smith came in on fire, knocking down Regal and then Kozlov off the apron. Regal hit Smith in the gut though, then rushed over to knock Kidd off the apron. Regal went for a knee trembler after hitting Smith down, but Smith avoided it. Smith dropped Regal down by pulling out his legs, then quickly put a Sharpshooter on to get Regal to tap out.

After the victory, Miz rushed in and tried to take Smith down, but Smith got the upperhand on him instead. Jericho rushed into the ring and caught Smith with a Codebreaker. Natalya was tending to Tyson Kidd on the outside as Jericho raised up The Miz's hand in an apparently new formed team.

Winner: The Hart Dynasty wins via submission over Vladimir Kozlov & William Regal.

When Raw returned, they announced that next week's guest host is rapper and reality TV star, Flavor Flav.

The Cutting Edge w/guest Randy Orton

Edge made his return to host the Cutting Edge on Raw. Tonight's guest on the show was The Viper, Randy Orton. Edge said that the people don't deserve an explanation for what he did to Randy Orton, then said he was just playing with their emotions. Edge discussed how he came back to win the Royal Rumble. Edge said he was prepared to be the shining light on Smackdown. Edge said he was positioned just right to beat Jack Swagger and became World Champion. Edge said last week Ted Dibiase won a Battle Royal, and Edge gets drafted to Raw. Edge said he had to start his plans over on a new show. He said he was frustrated and angry, then had to spear Orton to get things off his chest. Edge said at the end of the night he was the most talked about superstar on Raw or Smackdown. Edge was about to have Randy Orton come to the ring. Just then, Wayne Brady came out and down the ramp to the ring. Edge clapped for him in the ring.

Wayne Brady got into the ring and shook hands with Edge. Edge told him to have a seat and that Orton could wait. Brady talked about his love of WWE and growing up on WWE. Brady asked Edge if he could see what it feels like to be in Edge's shadow. Edge said sure. Brady stood up to deliver a promo to all other guest hosts saying he is the only guest host. Edge told him to deliver a promo to a certain camera, but Randy Orton came out to interrupt it.

Orton got into the ring and Brady walked up to him to shake his hand. Orton grabbed him and quickly hit the RKO to drop Brady. He then went for Edge. Edge backed away then got on the mic to tell Orton he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Edge reminded Orton of when they were Rated RKO and dominated the other teams on Raw. Edge told Orton they can do it again and take out Batista/Cena on Raw. Orton continued to coldly stare down Edge walking up to him huffing and puffing. Edge started complaining how he did everything yet the fans didn't fully accept him. He said he doesn't understand why the fans chant for a guy like Orton who only cares about himself. Edge said it's not fair that he did so much work for nothing. Edge told Orton he will join him. Edge told Orton will Spear Orton down week after week until Orton is just an afterthought on the show. Edge asked if any of this was registering with Orton, then screamed at Orton to say something.

Orton kept staring at Edge, then went for the RKO. Edge avoided it, then delivered a solid kick to Orton's face. Orton started getting up near the corner. Edge cleared the ring of the chairs and prepared for a Spear from the opposite corner. Orton kept feeling his chin for blood and slowly turned around for the Spear. Edge charged at him but ended up getting the RKO. The fans chanted "Randy, Randy!" Orton stood looking coldly at the camera with Edge layed out in the ring. Raw ended with Orton surveying the damage done, both Edge and guest host Wayne Brady were being attended to by a WWE staff member.

WWE Superstars Recap 04.29.10

WWE Superstars recap 04.29.10

Michael Cole said it's been a controversial week in the WWE. He and Lawler agreed that the WWE Draft really shook up the landscape of the WWE this past week. They promised a full draft review after the first match. Gail Kim arrived out for the opening Raw divas match on Superstars.

Gail Kim vs. Jillian

During the match, Jillian put Gail up on her shoulders then dropped back to slam her to the mat. She had a near fall with Gail kicking out, then put a submission hold on before standing Gail up. Gail started to punch back, but Jillian knocked her down.

Late in the match, Jillian picked up Gail near the ropes, but Gail held onto the top rope then used her legs to throw Jillian. From there, the two divas started exchanging strikes, but Gail got the upperhand. She whipped Jillian to the corner and hit her with a flying clothesline. On the second charging move, Jillian moved. Gail flew back off the corner for a flying bodypress pin, but Jillian rolled through. Gail kicked out of the pinfall. Jillian did her handstand flip to ram Gail in the corner, but then missed on her next move, hitting the post shoulder first. Gail grabbed her by the arm and stuck a foot against Jillian's neck before dropping down to the mat. Gail scores the pinfall win.

Winner: Gail Kim wins via pinfall over Jillian.

They reviewed Monday night Raw's 3 hour show which included the 2010 WWE Draft. Matches were held between the members of Raw and Smackdown to determine which brand got the next draft picks. Each brand got 4. Kelly Kelly, Big Show, Christian and Kofi Kingston were drafted to Smackdown. R-Truth, John Morrison, Edge and Chris Jericho to Raw. During the main event Triple Threat match for the #1 Contender's spot, Orton, Batista and Sheamus fought it out. Orton hit the RKO and was ready for the pin, until new Raw acquisition Edge came to the ring and speared Orton, allowing Batista to score the winning pinfall.

Michael Cole said to check out WWE.com for full details on how the rest of the draft went. Later tonight, the new Unified Tag champs, Hart Dynasty, will be in action.

Primo vs. Zack Ryder

Rosa Mendes accompanied Ryder to the ring. Cole said Rosa has been drafted to Smackdown so it will be interesting to see how their relationship goes in the next few weeks.

During this contest, Primo managed to gain some momentum when he dumped Ryder out over the top rope. Ryder hit chin first on the apron then fell to the outside. Primo prepared to run and jump out onto him but Ryder got up and blocked it. Primo grabbed the top rope and jumped out onto Ryder anyway, crashing to the floor. The two got back in the ring for more of a fight. Ryder suplexed Primo gut first onto the top rope, then delivered a high knee to knock him to the outside. Superstars went to commercial break.

Superstars returned with Ryder locking a submission hold on Primo to ground him, as Rosa looked on from ringside. Primo tried for a comeback as he ran against the ropes, but Zach hit him with a Flapjack for a near fall. Later still, Ryder missed on a leg drop from off the corner. Primo was still down but kicked Ryder in the face with both legs, then rolled him up for several near falls. Primo continued to be in control but couldn't capture the pinfall. In the closing moments, Ryder yanked Primo by his leg off the corner, then hit the Zack Attack for the win. The commentators claim it was due to Rosa Mendes providing a distraction to Primo from ringside.

Winner: Zack Ryder wins via pinfall over Primo.

Superstars returned with highlights from the Extreme Rules Street Fight which Sheamus won against Triple H. Todd Grisham and Matt Striker of Smackdown were on hand to review this past Monday night Raw's unified tag team title match. Hart Dynasty was able to defeat ShowMiz when Kidd locked a Sharpshooter on The Miz. After the match, Big Show clocked The Miz with a huge knockout punch.

The Hart Dynasty vs. The DudeBusters

Grisham noted that Hart Dynasty and Natalya all ended up being drafted over to Raw in the Supplemental draft.

Midway through the match, Barretta baited DH Smith into going after him. Smith kept his attention on Barretta outside the ring, while the legal man Croft came over and hit Smith out of the ring. Barretta ran over and smashed Smith down outside the ring as the ref was distracted by Croft inside.

When Superstars returned from commercial, Barretta had Smith down in a headlock. Smith managed to break away eventually and tagged in Kidd who had serious momentum. Croft and Barretta regained control when Barretta DDT'd Kidd on the side apron. Croft tagged back in and had the near fall in the ring, then started to use the headlock to wear Kidd down. The DudeBusters continued to keep Kidd from tagging out and tried to wear him down near their corner.

In the closing moments, Kidd was down in the corner. Barretta charged at him, but Kidd got up and tossed Barretta face first into the ringpost. Kidd slowlsy crawled over, then jumped to make the hot tag to Smith. Croft tagged in as well, but was taken down several times by Smith, who also clocked Barretta off the apron. Croft hit a chinbusters, but then made the mistake of putting his head down. Smith grabbed him for a standing suplex, letting the blood flow down to Croft's head before completing it. Croft and Barretta started to leave outside the ring, but Natalya came over and slapped Barretta in the face.

Kidd came into the ring and then ran against the opposite ropes. DH Smith helped launch him up over the top rope, and Kidd crashed down onto The DudeBusters. Back in the ring, Smith put Croft into a Bear Hug. Tyson Kidd jumped off the ropes to complete the Hart Attack finisher.

Winners: The Hart Dynasty wins via pinfall over The DudeBusters Croft & Barretta.

Raw Preview 04.26.10

Tonight's special episode of Monday Night Raw could see the rosters of Raw and Smackdown shaken up completely as the 2010 WWE Draft is held. In years past, there's been some monumental moves including just last year when wrestlers including MVP and The Miz were brought over to Raw, while Rey Mysterio and CM Punk headed to Smackdown. During last year's special 3-hour draft show, wrestlers from the brands competed with the winning wrestler's brand getting the next draft pick. Who will win in the 2010 WWE Draft? Will any of the major title holders be moved onto new shows?

The draft is taking place just one night after WWE's Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View was held. It featured several of the current Raw roster members in matches with extreme stipulations or rules including Randy Orton coming up short against Jack Swagger for the World Heavyweight title. John Cena successfully defended his WWE Title against The Animal Batista in the Last Man Standing match. In the Street Fight match, Sheamus started attacking Triple H at the start of the PPV then despite The Game's best efforts to retaliate during their official match, he couldn't withstand The Celtic Warrior. Triple H ended up losing and was eventually taken away via stretcher. Will we see or hear from Triple H on Raw? What's next for Sheamus after this dominant victory?

Last night's event also saw the current Unified Tag Team champions ShowMiz put into a three tag-team Gauntlet match. In the first part of the match, they were able to win against R-Truth and John Morrison, but due to referee's decision when Morrison refused to break a submission hold on Big Show. In match 2, they faced Mark Henry & MVP, with Big Show landing a sneaky KO punch on the Ballin' Superstar, allowing Miz to get the pinfall. However, Miz had already been knocked down by the Playmaker from MVP, and tag team three was announced. The Hart Dynasty arrived to the ring along with the legendary Bret Hart. The Dynasty was able to beat ShowMiz within just 10 seconds time after using the Hart Attack to pin Miz. Miz has claimed that Bret Hart must proclaim ShowMiz "the greatest tag team of all time." Will The Hitman go through with the requirement, or will he have different words in mind for ShowMiz?

Watch tonight's special 3-hour episode of Raw featuring the 2010 WWE Draft at its special start time of 8PM EST on USA!
