2011 Money in the Bank PPV Matches

The 2011 Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View will feature at least four matches so far when it takes place later this month. MITB is known for its two ladder matches, with one for Raw and one for Smackdown.

Competing in the Raw ladder match will be . Competing in the Smackdown ladder match will be Justin Gabriel, Sheamus, Heath Slater, Cody Rhodes, Kane, Sin Cara, Daniel Bryan and Wade Barrett. Last year's winners were The Miz for the Raw match and Kane for the Smackdown match. Kane cashed in his briefcase the same night on the PPV to defeat Rey Mysterio for the World Championship, while Miz waited for several months to finally cash in on Orton.

Also on the card will be at least two championship matches. John Cena is scheduled to defend the WWE Championship against CM Punk. Punk has vowed to defeat Cena in Chicago, and then retire from WWE the next day as champion, taking the belt with him. Mr. McMahon has informed Cena if he loses, he's fired.

The other championship match will have Kelly Kelly defending her Divas Championship against former champ Brie Bella in Brie's rematch. At this time, there is no official match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Randy Orton and Christian were about to sign a contract on last Friday's Smackdown when Sheamus interrupted the proceedings and tore the contract to pieces.

WWE's Money in the Bank 2011 goes live on Sunday, July 17th from Chicago, IL on Pay-Per-View starting at 8PM EST!

Probably the first PPV I have any interest in since perhaps Wrestlemania of last year! Monday's RAW greatly advanced Punk/Cena in the stratosphere, and the ladder matches ALWAYS bring the best of whoever's in it.
