News on HHH, Undertaker & Chris Jericho

Wrestlemania 28 already has the makings of a classic with John Cena vs The Rock headlining, but imagine adding Chris Jericho vs Undertaker? Both stars are currently out of the WWE, with Undertaker resting (in peace) after his latest Wrestlemania win over HHH. If Taker faces Jericho at Mania, it would be for his unprecedented 20th consecutive win at the PPV with no losses, ever.

In a recent interview, Jericho is quoted as saying with regards to a possible Undertaker match:

"I know nothing about that. There's nothing to know. If there was, I would tell you. As of right now, there's zero plans, zero talks."

Jericho also mentions that it's not set in stone that he will return to WWE, and if he does he wants to come back as a new character. At this point he said he doesn't have the desire and is touring with his band Fozzy.

As for Undertaker, he has apparently been enlisted by Triple H to become one of the voices in the WWE locker room. The veteran stars have slowly started to leave the scene, with Shawn Michaels already retired, and rumors that Rey Mysterio may not renew his contract. MVP left WWE, and CM Punk has also not renewed his contract. While John Cena and Randy Orton are considered the current Raw and Smackdown voices, Triple H certainly wants a veteran as experienced and respected as Undertaker to take a lead role.

Bottom line is that WWE will need to really develop the new talents. Undertaker could be a great mentor for a guy like Big Andy from WWE Tough Enough and help him to get over possibly with the fans. It's going to take quite a bit of work for WWE to establish new stars for the next generation of fans, but with the right vets helping out, it can be done.

No current word on the return timetable for Triple H or Undertaker, but both were rumored to potentially compete at Summerslam in a "Round 2" sort of continuation of their Wrestlemania battle.
