Smackdown Recap from Laredo, TX:

After they showed a video of how Daniel Bryan survived last week's title match against Big Show (thanks to Mark Henry's interference), the World Champion came to the ring

Daniel Bryan cut a promo to the fans saying they shouldn't believe what they read online about him and what others are saying.  He said that Mark Henry interfered last week causing a DQ, so Bryan was more than happy to give Big Show a rematch.  He kept trash talking Henry, who arrived out and got in Bryan's face.  He told Bryan that whoever wins tonight's match will defend the title against him next week.  Bryan pretended he was ok with that but looked nervous.

Justin Gabriel defeated Heath Slater by pinfall.  Towards the close, Slater was in control and climbed the corner, but Sheamus' music hit.  Hornswoggle appeared in the ring.  Slater was distracted and Gabriel knocked him off the ropes to the mat.  Gabriel hit his 450 Splash for the win.

Backstage, AJ confessed to Daniel Bryan that win, lose, or draw she loves him.  Bryan thanked her, smiling as he walked off.

Cody Rhodes cut a promo dissing the crowd as unable to speak English and being familiar with "INS."  He then vowed he'd pull an Ultimate Warrior, holding the Intercontinental and World Championship at the same time.

Cody Rhodes defeated Ezekiel Jackson by pinfall.  Rhodes managed to reverse the Torture Rack, and went for the Beautiful Disaster kick.  Zeke ducked it.  However, moments later, Cody connected on the kick and then Cross Rhodes for the win.

Teddy Long's new assistant Santino Marella tried to give him various ideas for Smackdown matches and new things they can try.  Long wasn't having it.  David Otunga came in and said he wanted to discuss which wrestlers from Smackdown should be in the Royal Rumble match.  Santino then suggested a Santino vs. Otunga match for tonight.  Long said great idea and booked it.  They left, and Long got another visitor - Drew McIntyre.  Long told Drew he's close to fired so he better win his next match.

Ted Dibiase defeated Drew McIntyre by pinfall.  Hunico and Comacho came down the ramp on their bike to join the commentators for the match.  Hunico said he dislikes Dibiase for all those parties he throws with fans.  The close saw McIntyre try for a super back suplex from the top rope, but he got crotched.  From there, Dibiase hit Dream Street for the win.

Sheamus defeated Jinder Mahal by pinfall.  Late in the match, Sheamus bashed Jinder on the chest repeatedly, then suplexed him into the ring from the apron.  Sheamus hit his battering ram move from the top rope, then followed up with the Brogue Kick to finish things.

Big Show was backstage chatting with a ref about the match later tonight and the rules.  The ref walked off as AJ came up to him.  AJ told Show she doesn't want to see Daniel get hurt tonight, because he's a decent guy with a good heart.  Show said his intention isn't to hurt Daniel Bryan, it's to get back his World Championship.

Daniel Bryan came walking up saying it looks like Show wants to take his title first, then his girl.  Show shook his head, and Bryan told Show he needs to leave.  Show said the title has really changed him.  Show said he'll solve that problem and take the title off his hands later.  Show walked off, then Bryan asked AJ if she was OK.  He asked AJ how much she loves him, then told her they need to go somewhere and talk.

Smackdown showed the highlights from the 2002 Royal Rumble which Triple H won by clotheslining Kurt Angle out of the ring.  This year's Rumble match will feature 30 superstars as opposed to last year's which had 40 for the first time ever.

David Otunga defeated Santino Marella by pinfall.  Late in the match, Santino went for The Cobra, but Otunga ducked it, then hit his own finisher for the win.

They showed a video package about the Four Horsemen who will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.

Brodus Clay aka "Funkassaurus" defeated Tyso Kidd in less than 30 seconds after hitting a kick and then doing his huge splash.  Clay danced with his dancers to celebrate the win.

Tamina defeated Natalya by pinfall after hitting a Samoan Drop and then the Samoan Splash from the top rope.

Wade Barrett came out and did a promo, saying he wasn't impressed by Sheamus earlier.  He said Sheamus has an anger problem.  Barrett said he'll win the Royal Rumble and then challenged Sheamus to a match on next week's Smackdown.

In the main event, Big Show and Daniel Bryan fought to a no contest.  The match saw Bryan using a steel chair effectively as a weapon against Show, and attempting several big moves in the ring.  Show was able to shove Bryan away and keep him from getting the pinfall.  The close saw Bryan running away from Show around the outside of the ring.  Show collided with AJ and knocked her out.  AJ was taken away on a stretcher which ended the match.  Bryan yelled "if this is what the title means to Show, he can have it," and called Show a "basterd" from the ramp as Smackdown ended.
