SmackDown Results 04/12/13

SmackDown results from Boston, MA:

The show opened with Lilian Garcia introducing Big E Langston, who came on to the stage to mock Ricardo Rodriguez. He introduced new World Champion, Dolph Ziggler.  Ziggler spoke about how he won the title in spite of the fans, not because of them.  Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter interrupt.  Zeb tells Ziggler he should thank Swagger for the title win.  Ziggler tells them Swagger had a shot and blew it, so it's to the back of the line.  Swagger looked ready to get in the ring but backed off.  Zeb told Ziggler he needs to give Swagger what he wants and he won't wait for long.  They leave, but right after Ziggler starts speaking again, Alberto Del Rio comes out onto the stage, limping.

Del Rio congratulated Ziggler on the win, saying he isn't there to complain and knows what it's like to cash in Money in the Bank.  He said once his leg heels he'll be back and Ziggler will be complaining.  Del Rio leaves, and Ziggler says next person to interrupt will find out why he's champ.  Ziggler goes on speaking, and then Chris Jericho's music hits.  He came out on stage telling Ziggler to shut up, and ended up starting an "AJ is crazy" chant with the crowd, making her break into tears.  Jericho tells Ziggler he talked to GM Booker T and that later tonight it'll be Dolph vs. Jericho in a match.

Team Hell No defeated The Prime Time Players via submission in a non-title match.  Late in this one, Kane came in to hit a chokeslam on D-Young.  Daniel Bryan put the No Lock on Titus O'Neil to make him tap for the win.  Post-match, Shield appeared on the Titantron saying they hope Kane doesn't think they're afraid.  They said they didn't back down on Monday and never back down from a fight.  Kane gets upset by the speech and makes his pyro explode from the ring posts.

Wade Barrett defeated Santino Marella via pinfall in a non-title match.  Late in the match, Santino ducked the Bullhammer with his split move, then hit a bunch of strikes on Barrett.  Santino pulled out the Cobra but Barrett kicked it away, then hit the Bullhammer Elbow for the pin.

Backstage, Sheamus came in to complain to Booker T and Teddy about his match against Big Show being overruled on Monday.  Randy Orton came in saying he isn't happy with what happened either.  Teddy told them it was Booker's idea, "but we all make mistakes."  Booker shots a glare at Teddy, then tells Sheamus and Orton they got Show in a handicap match.  After they leave, Teddy is smirking as Booker stares at him.

The Bella Twins and Tamina Snuka defeated The Funkadactyls and Kaitlyn via pinfall.  Late in the match, Naomi hit a cross body on one of the Bellas.  She climbed to the corner for a move, but got pushed off by the other Bella Twin.  One of the Bellas covers Naomi for the pinfall victory as a brawl happens outside the ring.

Triple H arrived to the ring to speak about his WrestleMania 29 match.  He came out with his left arm bandaged in black, and told the crowd "the ass kicker is back."  Before HHH could say much more, 3MB interrupted, surrounding the ring.  HHH took off his jacket ready to fight, but then The Shield's music hit.  They come out, and it appears like it will be 6 vs 1, but Shield attacks 3MB, then turns their attention to Triple H.  However, Kane's music hits and he runs down to the ring with Daniel Bryan.  The Shield retreats again.

Booker attempted to talk to Teddy backstage about what happened earlier when Big Show comes in.  Show complained about the handicap match, threatening to leave WWE because he has an ironclad contract.  Booker tells him he'll have the contract so delayed in court it will "rust up."  He tells Show will compete and the match is next.

Randy Orton and Sheamus defeated The Big Show by count out in a 2-on-1 handicap match.  Late in the match, Show hit Sheamus with a spear to lay him out, then punched Orton in the ribs.  Moments later, Orton hits a surprise RKO on Show, then Sheamus hits a Brogue Kick to send I'm out of the ring.  Show ended up heading up the ramp getting counted out.

After a break, they replayed the finish of the Show match.  Sheamus and Orton are walking backstage when Renee stops to interview them.  Orton heads off to the locker room.  Sheamus talked about it not mattering how big or strong you are, but then got attacked by Mark Henry who ran him down.  Officials come in to check on Sheamus.

Kofi Kingston defeated Antonio Cesaro via pinfall in a non-title match.  Late in this one, Kofi kicked Cesaro in the head and went to the corner top area for a move.  Cesaro catches him with a move, but Kofi countered it, then hit Trouble in Paradise for the win.

After a WrestleMania still shot segment, Fandango's music hit.  He and his dancer dance on the stage, before Fandango heads to the ring with the huge set piece hanging above him and his dancer.  His dancer does a split in front of him before a commercial break.

After break, Fandango and his dancer are at ringside.  Dolph Ziggler made his entrance wearing the championship belt with AJ and Big E with him.  Jericho made his entrance last.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Chris Jericho via pinfall in a non-title match.  Late in the match, Jericho gained control of things, dropkicking Big E through the ropes, then hitting a splash from the top rope on Ziggler.  After a near fall, Ziggler hit a dropkick for a near fall of his own.  The two continued to battle back and forth.  Fandango got up on the apron, with Jericho kicking him off as well.

The close saw Jericho lock the Walls of Jericho on Ziggler, but Fandango got up on the apron to distract the ref.  Big E got on the apron, then clocked Jericho in the head, allowing Ziggler to get the easy cover.

Post-match, Jericho hit an Enziguiri kick to send Big E down, then clotheslined Dolph down.  He turned his focus towards Fandango, but Ziggler was back up and hit the Zig Zag.  Big E then hit the Big Ending on him.  Fandango got in the ring with fans humming his theme song.  He shook a finger at Jericho, then hit his big leg drop from the top rope onto the back of Jericho's head.  After Fandango's dancer brought him a mic, he told everyone his name before Smackdown closed.
