4 Summerslam Matches
The Kane vs Finlay match was a late replacement match for the Matt Hardy vs MVP United States Championship match. While I'm a Kane fan, I think there's a few other matches the WWE could have added that might have been interesting and given people more of their money's worth. Here's a look at four matches I think would work better and be more exciting in place of the Kane vs. Finlay contest.
US Title Fatal Fourway
The WWE should be consistent with how it handles titles held by injured champs. No reason MVP should hold onto the belt while there are worthy competitors on Smackdown. In this match, I'd have the top competitor, Matt Hardy facing off against Chris Masters, and then also add in Kane and Finlay who are already scheduled to fight. All 4 men are worthy competitors for the US title.
Cade & Murdoch vs. Deuce & Domino
You've got two heel tag teams holding the titles for their respective brands. Have them face off as the opening match to get Summerslam going. It could prove for an interesting matchup, and you could even go so far as to unify the tag belts for the winner. The tag divisions might benefit greatly from cross-brand matches since Smackdown doesn't seem to have many tag teams at the moment.
Cruiserweight Hardcore Challenge
In this match, the leprechaun Hornswaggle would defend his title against the likes of Jamie Noble, Jimmy Wang Yang, Funaki, Shannon Moore and then add in Raw's Cody Rhodes. I still believe Rhodes is best off fighting in this division. Hornswaggle shows he knows how to use weapons such as pies, fire extinguishers and the shalalee. You could even have Little Boogeyman sneak into the ring here to really add to the mayhem.
Boogeyman vs Big Daddy V
These guys have been feuding for at least a month now. It's a match that's going to happen, we may have to wait for the Unforgiven Pay Per View to see it. I think it makes for an exciting contest on the biggest event of the Summer.
If Finlay wins cleanly over Kane i will be surprised. It's hard to not pick Kane in that matchup and that's why I think the four matches above give the fans something more along the lines of not knowing what to expect.
