Smackdown Preview 04.04.08
Tonight's Smackdown features the return of fan-favorite superstar, Matt Hardy. Matt made a surprise entrance during Wrestlemania 24's Money in the Bank ladder match to get some sweet revenge on MVP. Now Matt gets to face MVP in a non-title bout on Smackdown. After being cost the MITB briefcase by Matt, MVP will not be happy. Who will prevail in this contest? Will Matt Hardy be able to propel himself back to #1 contender status for the United States Championship?
Also, Wrestlemania 24 saw Ric Flair's final match, with Shawn Michaels delivering the Superkick heard round the world to end Flair's career. Smackdown superstar Batista also won the Brand Superiority match against Raw's Umaga. Batista was on hand at this past week's Raw to extend his best wishes and gratitude to Flair. He also gave a few glares to HBK. Will the man who proved his brand was superior have something to say to the man who ended Flair's legendary wrestling career?
It's also the finals of the Smackdown diva contest, with two blonde divas remaining. Cherry and Michelle McCool will be competing for the prize of Smackdown's top diva, and a custom-made motorcycle. Big Show may be in search of another 7 footer, Smackdown's own Great Khali, and Edge will surely be looking to get a rematch with the new World Heavyweight Champion, The Undertaker.
