Raw Preview 07.28.08
The past weeks have been anything but orderly for WWE's Raw television show. After repeated warnings and messages delivered by pre-recorded video from Stephanie and Shane McMahon, the WWE superstars have continued to run amok. Matches have been scheduled by the superstars themselves and there's been all sorts of chaos from Kane's recent tirades to JBL throwing John Cena out of the building. On tonight's episode of Raw all of the disaster should finally come to a head, as Shane McMahon is scheduled to appear. What will Shane have to say in response to the lack of order on Raw? Will a new GM be appointed tonight or soon after?
Last week's chaos saw a rematch between Batista and CM Punk for the World Heavyweight title. Batista set up the match himself after Kane had caused the DQ in the Great American Bash match. However, on Raw it was Kane who came out to attack Batista prior to the match, and JBL who came out to cause the DQ during the match. John Cena also got himself involved, attempting to get rid of JBL. While Cena had the intention of seeking revenge on the man who smashed him into cars at the Bash, Cena inadvertently punched the Animal, Batista. Raw ended with the two major superstars attempting their finishing moves and about to combust. What will each of these stars have to say when Raw hits the air?
Finally, amongst all the chaos and strange events on Raw was a very unlikely romantic connection or repulsion. Santino Marella had issued an open locker room challenge a few weeks ago, only to find that his opponent was a female wrestler, the Glamazon Beth Phoenix. After Beth won the match, Santino was outraged, and on last week's Raw he cleared things up saying he'd only wrestle male superstars. Santino's opponent was a returning superstar, D-Lo Brown, who was able to have a successful return and defeat Santino. Beth Phoenix came out to observe the match, and afterwards end up sharing a strange kiss with Santino. The two superstars seemed shocked at the event. What will happen between these two on tonight's show? Has a new alliance formed?
