Raw Recap 06.15.09 3-For-All

Raw 3-for-All Recap from Charlotte, NC:

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler opened the show welcoming fans to the 3-for-All. Cole said as announced on WWE.com, Mr. McMahon is in the building tonight to name a new General Manager, since Vickie Guerrero resigned last week. Lawler said he heard rumors Mr. McMahon is there for another reason.

Highlights were shown from last week's Raw where Batista was injured by Randy Orton and Legacy. This forced the new WWE Champ Batista to leave via ambulance. Orton demanded his title rematch and it was decided if Batista failed to show by the ref's 10 count, Orton would win the title by forfeit. Later in the night, Orton tried to win by forfeit, but HHH showed up to surprise him and dismantled Legacy and Orton. All of that set up tonight's Fatal Forway for the vacated WWE Title.

Also in the house were ECW commentary team, Matt Striker and Josh Matthews, as well as Jim Ross and JR from Smackdown to call their respective matches. It was announced that the World Heavyweight Match will be a Triple Threat with CM Punk defending against Jeff Hardy and Edge.

Before the match, Jericho took a mic to insult the Raw fans, saying that since he left the show it has tanked completely. Jericho said Rey Mysterio will one day be saved and set free by him, but for now his mask is his downfall.

Jericho had a tremendous start to the match, tackling Jericho and going after him with move after move. During the match, a countdown timer was shown giving about 32 minutes until the WWE Title match. Mysterio continued to stay in control until he tried to jump on Jericho outside the ring. Jericho grabbed him and dropped him face first on the announce table as Raw went to a break.

When Raw returned, Jericho continually used a submission hold and tried to pull Mysterio's mask off again and again. As the match went on, Rey gained serious momentum and seemed ready to regain his title. Mysterio jumped off the ropes to land on Jericho's shoulders. Jericho started tugging at the mask again and Rey dropped to the mat on his feet to make sure the mask stayed on. Jericho used that brief moment to hit the Codebreaker and win it.

Winner: Chris Jericho wins via pinfall over Rey Mysterio to retain the Intercontinental Title.

Cole and Lawler cut to Mr. McMahon backstage, asking who the new GM would be.
