Smackdown Recap from Biloxi, MS:

Smackdown opened as CM Punk arrived to the ring displaying his freshly won World Heavyweight belt from Extreme Rules. Jeff Hardy came out to interrupt Punk demanding a rematch. Edge came out next, saying that he should get the rematch since he's held more championships than Jeff or Punk. Edge called Punk a "wannabe" version of himself. Jeff Hardy rushed over to knock Edge out of the ring, then hit a Twist of Fate on Punk, followed by the Swanton. Smackdown GM Theodore Long came out and said Jeff Hardy will face Edge in a #1 Contender's match tonight. The winner gets a shot at Punk on Raw's special 3-for-All episode Monday.

Great Khali vs. Dolph Ziggler

Ziggler tried to avenge his previous loss to Khali in tonight's match. Early on, Khali was in control again, dominating Ziggler with powerful moves. Despite that, Ziggler tried to attack the Great Khali's legs to bring him down. When that didn't work, Ziggler headed outside the ring and grabbed Khali's manager, Ranjin Singh. Khali went out to try to save him, and Ziggler used the opportunity to sneakily beat the ref's count of 10, winning the match.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler wins via pinfall over The Great Khali via countout.

Eve Torres & Melina vs. Michelle McCool & Layla

Alicia Fox accompanied the heel divas to the ring and watched from ringside. Early on, it was both Layla and Michelle taking it to Eve. Michelle kept Eve down on the mat in a tough headlock. Eve eventually broke away from it to tag in Melina. Melina came in on fire, attacking Michelle with serious momentum. Alicia Fox provided distraction on the outside and this allowed Michelle to hit the Faithbreaker on Melina to get the victory.

Winners: Michelle McCool & Layla win via pinfall over Melina & Eve Torres.

John Morrison & R-Truth vs. Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas

After taunting his opponents from the start of things, R-Truth seemed to be in control against Shelton. Shelton eventually turned it around, suplexing Truth in from the apron and then started applying submission holds to Truth. Truth battled out, but Shelton knocked him to the mat once again before bringing in Haas. Haas continued the onslaught against Truth. Truth finally broke away from Haas to tag Morrison into the match. Morrison had serious momentum and eventually hit Starship Pain on Haas to get the pinfall win.

Winners: John Morrison & R-Truth win via pinfall over Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas.

CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho

As Jericho came to the match, he had Rey Mysterio's mask in hand and discussed how he humiliated the former IC champ. Early on, Jericho tried to take down Punk with a strength test, but Punk fought back to stay on his feet, then used kicks on Jericho. Jericho went for the Walls of Jericho with Punk able to escape. Punk later used the ropes to tangle Jericho and stretch him out submission style. Punk used move after move including flying bodypress off the corner and eventually tried for the GTS. Jericho reversed it into another Walls of Jericho. Punk managed to crawl his way to grab the ropes and break it. Both men had a battle on the corner with Punk hitting a suplex. As the match concluded, Punk managed to fight off the effects of a Codebreaker and eventually hit the GTS to win a tough match!

Winner: World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk wins via pinfall Chris Jericho.

Jeff Hardy vs. Edge

The battle for the #1 Contender spot went back and forth with both Edge and Hardy each gaining momentum throughout. At one point, Edge was able to put the Sharpshooter submission hold on Jeff. Jeff escaped it and the action went to the outside of the ring. Edge threw Jeff into CM Punk who was doing commentary at ringside. Punk got involved and took out both superstars causing the DQ.

Winner: Edge wins due to disqualification over Jeff Hardy.
