WWE Superstars Recap 06.18.09

This week's exciting episode of WWE Superstars included four matches. In action were members of the Raw, ECW and Smackdown rosters including Santino Marella, Zack Ryder, the Hart Dynasty and the sexy WWE Divas! Here's the match by match results for the 06/18/09 episode of WWE Superstars on WGN America!

Chavo Guerrero vs. Santino Marella

Prior to the match, Santino joked about Chavo's Aunt Vickie going "wee wee wee all the way home" like little piggies do. Santino said it was Santina's work not his. Santino said tonight he's going to give Chavo a fate worse than waking up each morning to look himself in the mirror.

With the match in progress, Chavo charged Santino in the corner and Santino moved away. Santino ducked a series of punches then unloaded on Chavo. Chavo whipped Santino to the ropes and went at him, with Santino pulling the ropes down. Santino then dropkicking Chavo into the crowd barrier and tossed him back in the ring. As Chavo got in first, he got up and kicked Santino who tried to get in. Chavo went for the Triple suplex "Three Amigos" ala Eddie Guerrero. Santino blocked suplex attempt 3, but didnt' go for the pinfall. Instead, Santino went to the top rope for a Frogsplash attempt. Chavo stuck a boot up and caught Santino on the way down, then covered him for the win.

Winner:

Zack Ryder vs. Mike Williams

Ryder took on a local athlete, Mike Williams, on tonight's edition of Superstars. Wearing a purple "Woo Woo Woo" headband along with the half and half purple tights/shorts, Ryder used a combo of moves to dominate. After some taunting and the outright dominant performace, Ryder took the pinfall victory after hitting his finisher, the Zack Attack.

Winner: Zack Ryder wins via pinfall over Mike Williams.

Eve Torres vs. Layla

Maria served as special guest referee for this Smackdown WWE Divas match. Eve had a late pinfall attempt but Layla kicked out at 2. Layla was in control as she kicked Eve in the leg, then worked on the left leg even more. Layla tried to force Eve to submit, and continued to grab the leg and yank it down. Eve got to the corner to hold herself up and she kept kicking Layla away. From there Eve used several takedowns including a dropkick, and then a suplex into a pinfall. Layla again escaped, but while she was down on the mat, Eve did an impressive handspring from one corner across the ring to splash down on top of Layla for the pin.

Winner: Eve Torres wins via pinfall over Layla.

Christian & The Colons vs. Jack Swagger & The Hart Dynasty

Late in the match, Primo tried to rally against David Hart Smith but Tyson Kidd tagged in to continue the onslaught. Primo and Kidd took each other down with a double clothesline off the ropes. Kidd was up first but Primo kicked him away then tagged in Carlito. Carlito came in with serious momentum and took Kidd down with a series of moves. Carlito was in control, when both DH Smith and Swagger got involved. Christian came in and knocked Swagger outside then jumped on him. Primo clotheslined DH Smith out of the ring, leaving Kidd with Carlito. Carlito avoided Kidd's move off the ropes, then hit him with the Backstabber to win it.

Winners: Christian & The Colons win via pinfall over Jack Swagger & The Hart Dynasty.
