However, Cena refused to quit, and managed to get the keys to the handcuffs so he could cuff he and Orton together. Cena used the STF submission and put the handcuff chain on Orton's neck to make him yell out "I Quit".

Orton said nobody cares to hear Batista's retirement speech, then suggested Batista is retiring because of him, not due to his health. Batista started laughing and Orton became upset. Batista said it's funny how predictable Orton is, and then pulled off his arm brace, revealing he wasn't hurt. Batista proceeded to clothesline Orton down, then bodyslammed him, before clotheslining him out of the ring. Before Trish could explain, Chris Jericho was also there. Jericho started to insult Trish and said she's bitter from when he sent her packing. Beth suggested that Trish retired so she wouldn't have to face her, and then said at least Jericho has guts. Cole and Lawler talked over highlight slides from last night's "Submissions Count Anywhere" match at Breaking Point. DX and Legacy fought all over the arena and backstage. Rhodes did a mock DX intro asking the fans "Are you ready?!", then discussed the dawning of a new era in WWE. Rhodes said they didn't just beat DX, they made them tap out. Rhodes said Rock, Stone Cold, Undertaker, Edge and even Orton never made DX tap out. Rhodes said only Legacy has. Dibiase then took over saying how last night's win was historic. Triple H began to stalk Rhodes outside the ring as the bell sounded with Dibiase going at HBK in the corner. This would be HBK's first action in 6 months time. A brief "you screwed Bret" chant broke out in the crowd as Michael Cole reminded viewers Raw is the longest running weekly episodic on cable.

Late in the match, HBK started to build momentum in his favor, after two atomic drops, a flying forearm from the ropes and chest chops. Dibiase reverse-whipped Michaels to the ropes, and HBK flew back at him with another forearm. Michaels flipped up from the mat then pounced on Dibiase to punch away. HBK climbed the corner and hit an elbow drop on Dibiase. Michaels was still hurting from last night and from Dibiase's attack on his left eye in tonight's match. He stumbled to the corner and began to wind up the band for Sweet Chin Music. Before he could start towards Dibiase, Rhodes yanked Michaels down and pulled him towards the ringpost. The ref called for the bell for a DQ on Legacy.
