2011 Royal Rumble News and Info
Ready to rumble? Once again thirty of WWE's toughest competitors will grapple in the ring trying to throw each other over the top rope. The last man standing in the ring after all competitors have been eliminated will be crowned the winner of the 2011 Royal Rumble. Last year's winner, Randy Orton, is looking for a repeat performance, so he can headline Wrestlemania and get a title shot. However, he has 29 other wrestlers who want that spot as well.
WWE's 2011 Royal Rumble is scheduled to take place on January 30, 2011 at TD Garden in Boston, MA. The tentative start time will be 8PM EST for the Pay-Per-View, with live results updates posted here on WWE Characters Blog and also via WWEDivaSource Twitter profile. As of this report there are still tickets available for the Royal Rumble, but they appear to be individual seats rather than any seats paired together. Check for the latest Rumble tickets here.
The last five winners of the Royal Rumble: Edge, Randy Orton, John Cena, The Undertaker and Rey Mysterio. Any one of those individuals has a shot to win it, although Taker's status is unknown at this point. Same goes for another guy that many are expecting to show up in 2011: The Game Triple H.
Some of the superstars who may be involved in the 2011 Royal Rumble include Tyler Reks, Alberto Del Rio, Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston, Big Show, CM Punk, John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre. Only one man can win it and will get to choose which title they want a shot at when Wrestlemania 27 arrives.
