A commercial was shown for the brand new DVD about Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, due out tomorrow.

For some reason, John Cena arrived out to the ring first, rather than CM Punk coming out to call out Cena. Cena kept calling Punk, "CM Sucks" and finally said "if you want some, come get some." Punk's theme music and lights/video hit but Punk did not show up from backstage. Cena said that must be the big surprise. Cena said if Punk doesn't want to come out to him, he'll go find "CM Sucks." Cena put down the mic and prepared to head backstage. Suddenly, The Nexus' theme music hit and they arrived to the ring. It was Otunga, Gabriel, Slater, Harris, McGillicutty but no Wade Barrett.

David Otunga stepped into the ring with Cena, saying it's not what he thinks. Otunga said Cena did exactly what he said he would do, by taking out each and every one of them. Otunga said Nexus is under management now. He said he doesn't want a conflict with Cena, and suggested they move forward and start the new year off right. Otunga said he wants to offer Cena a truce, then extended his hand to shake. Cena took the mic from his hand to respond saying if he felt any word Otunga said was genuine, he'd shake his hand.

Cena said he watched and studied all of the Nexus members, realizing that Otunga is a slimy, manipulative and backstabbing worm of a man. Cena said there will be no moving forward because he doesn't trust them. Cena suggested Otunga turn around and move backward or throw hands and see what happens. Otunga backed up and exited the ring through the ropes joining the other Nexus guys. They started to walk backstage, but then all of a sudden, Otunga signaled for them to rush back to the ring.

All five guys rushed into the ring and ganged up on Cena, beating him down to the mat. Cena tried to get up, but Slater did his finisher takedown. Next, McGillicutty did his swinging neckbreaker. Husky Harris did his Senton Bomb on Cena, then they moved Cena towards the corner for Justin Gabriel's 450 Splash.

Otunga crouched down to remind Cena that they are Nexus, then dropped his wristband next to Cena as a reminder. With Cena fallen on the mat, Otunga and the other guys raised their arms, before their music hit and they left the ring. Nexus was walking up the ramp backstage, as CM Punk's music hit and Punk arrived out from backstage. Punk walked through the Nexus guys as they moved aside. He went down and got in the ring, lifted up Cena and hit the GTS on him. Punk rushed out of the ring to get a steel chair. He returned to the ring and prepared to smash the chair down on Cena, but stopped himself.

PUnk set the chair up and took a seat, then picked up the Nexus wristband from the mat. Punk slid the Nexus wristband onto his left arm, to signal that he was the new leader of Nexus. Punk raised up his right arm out of the ring towards the five Nexus guys on the ramp. They all raised up their arms as well to salute their new leader.
