Josh Matthews, Matt Striker and Michael Cole were on hand for commentary. Tonight John Cena returns to Smackdown to face Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler in a 2-on-1 handicap match. Also, the new World Champion Edge will be on hand to speak following his huge TLC victory. The Viper Randy Orton arrived to the ring for the opening match.

Randy Orton vs. The Miz

The Miz arrived to the ring followed by his protege Alex Riley. Cole and Matthews watched a replay of the finish from last night's Raw with Orton RKO'ing Miz and Jerry Lawler pinning him. Cole said Miz got the last laugh though after the match.

In tonight's match, Orton got his hands on Miz several times despite Miz trying to run away. At one point, Orton threw Miz from barrier to barrier outside the ring then clotheslined him down. Orton stared down Riley and he backed off. Miz gained control midway through the match, when he got an assist from Riley on the outside. Riley yanked Orton by the leg, causing Orton to hit the apron face first. From there, Miz whipped Orton into the steel steps prior to Smackdown's first commercial break.

Orton made a comeback late in the match, and prepared for a Powerbomb. Riley got on the apron as a distraction and Miz backdropped Orton to the mat, then hit a running clothesline on him in the corner, followed by a DDT for the near fall. Miz tried for a Skullcrushing finale but Orton blocked it. Miz countered Orton into a backslide for a near fall, but moments later Orton hit his middle rope DDT on Miz. Orton was ready for the RKO, but Riley got on the apron to distract again. Orton rushed over and punched down Riley, then was quick to catch Miz with the RKO. Orton had the pinfall, but Riley rushed back in to attack, causing the DQ.

Post-match, Orton was fuming, pacing around the ring staring at the ref. He saw Miz recovering down in the corner area. Orton prepared for a punt kick on Miz. He started to run, but Riley was back into the ring yet again. Orton caught him with the RKO. Miz quickly rolled to the outside and staggered up the ramp looking fearful of The Viper.

Winner: Randy Orton wins due to DQ of The Miz.

Cena got Ziggler up for Attitude Adjustment. Cena went for it with Ziggler flipping off him to his feet. Ziggler came right back to hit the Zig Zag. Cena managed to barely kick out of the pinfall. Ziggler went for it yet again, but Cean avoided him and slapped on the STF. He had Ziggler ready to tap out, but Vickie rushed in and grabbed Cena from behind.

Cena stared down Vickie as she kept screaming things at him. He finally grabbed her by the face and planted a huge kiss on her. Vickie was now out of the picture, as Ziggler was stumbling around. Cena grabbed him, hit the AA and collected the pinfall win!
