NXT's Neverending Season 5

The NXT Season seems to keep going and going and going...You get the point, and if you've seen it, you know it too. NXT season 5 is now at 30 episodes, making it the longest season ever, at twice as many as season 1. This current NXT season has become more of a WWE Superstars type program, showcasing lower card stars so they can get some sort of storyline on their characters.

Cases in point are The Usos, Tyson Kidd, Yoshi Tatsu and JTG. Now Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks are part of the gallery of "don't know what to do with them" talent on the show. The Uso's seemed like they should've been in the tag team title chase weeks ago, but for some reason they are being built up on NXT.

The problem with all of this is that WWE basically has snubbed its original show format. That format was to have the WWE Universe help vote on who will be the "next breakout star" in WWE. It was supposed to have pro mentors paired with rookie competitors. Instead, it's become some neverending soap opera to bring in AJ, Maxine, Percy Watson and other former NXT competitors.

There's no announcement of when there will be an end for this current season, but it's supposed to lead into another season, with the winner here moving on. It's obvious that winner is Titus O'Neil, so maybe WWE should just put him on a roster? He'd probably get more fan support and TV time than last season's winner..what was his name again?
